Safeway healthy choice entrees cafe steamers

On July 24, 2018 at around 21:30 I went to your store #1289 to pickup some more of the Healthy Choice items that were on sale 5 for $10.00. When I got to the store I noticed that all of the Healthy Choice Steamers where out of stock. Safeway's did have a lot of Healthy choice items but not the Steams. I picked up a couple of item and paid for them, after paying I requested a rain check for #20 or 4 single rain checks 4 X 5 for $10.00 of the Healthy choice items that Safeway's did not have in stock and I was told no on my request and that that I could only get #6 items. I request to speak with the store manager his name was Harmon he stated that since there was a shortage that 6 is the maximum on a rain check. All I did was ask for 4 rain checks 1 for each item that Safeway's was out of and he still said no. I was polite nor was I in your store to argue with your employee over a rain check I did let him I would make a complaint against him he stated I don't care.

Safeway safeway produce kitchen

I am writing only about the Boulder, CO store located at 28th and Iris. This week the in store made guacamole is on sale buy one get one free I went to that store because of that particular sale item but there was none in stock. I would think that if an item is on sale, especially B1G1 Free, you would insure that you had plenty on hand! When I asked at the little "kitchen" which seems to be manned by a bunch of unhelpful, indifferent young people, I was told I could wait for 1/2 hour for some to be made. 😡Sorry, but I don't have that much time to waste! I am not impressed with your employees!

Safeway staff & store completely unprepared for $5 friday

Friday 7/27/18 6:30am Makaala St Hilo / Upon entering the store there were no carts available, only the ones that were hopelessly stuck together. There was trash on the ground surrounding the front entrance and the store was packed already. We couldn't purchase as much as we wanted because we couldn't get a cart. Also, the lack of registers open was excessive. Lines were incredibly long, deli cash register was out of order. Employees were still stocking empty shelves and driving their large metal carts without regard and quite rudely, witnessed an employee almost run into a customer and her cart and give the most sour expression with no apology in a high traffic area. The store was obviously not prepped the day before, eventhough they should know what to expect because it happens every Friday. If Safeway wants the business, they should be able to handle the volume. The Starbucks in front had hard crossants that must have been sitting for awhile too. The whole experience was such a turn off. I have been shopping at the Hilo Safeway since they were located in the mall and now, I'm not sure I will continue because this is not the first time we have had such a poor experience.

Safeway lack of staff at the register

On 7/22 at approximately 6:30pm went to buy a few things. There were only two registers open and everybody was getting very upset about the long line. Is there some sort of issues at this location? I've notice the quality and service has been dropping here for the past two years. I suggest you close this location if you don't improve overall service and quality.

Safeway wing bar

For 2 years I have complained to the store manager and customer service at the Towson, Md store about the wing bar is never stocked especially at dinner when you stop after work 4:30 pm on to pick up dinner. The wing bar is either empty, or old burnt wings that have been there quite awhile. I took a photo tonight as proof, only 3 trays out of 6 had anything in it and what was there the one I wanted was old and burnt, the people assigned to this area do a poor, uninterested in customer service, minimal amount of effort to serve the customers.

Safeway pharmacy

I have shopped at the safeway in Kirkland for many years. Of late, I hate going to the pharmacy. The staff is rude and it's insulting. I visit my mother in Silver Lake, Washington and the pharmacy staff is amazing. They are polite. They remember you. They fill your monthly prescriptions and call you to remind you its ready. I found the Cottage Lake Pharmacy is that good too. The management in those stores is superb. Outstanding customer service. Whoever manages those stores can be proud of the service they provide.
It is obviously a skill that is not recognized or fostered at the Kirkland 85th street pharmacy. Both my husband and myself refuse to go there. At one point while undergoing chemo therapy a pharmacist threw my prescription at me. This is true. Right across the counter with in a nasty snarky comment. They never remember your monthly prescriptions. Even after years of taking it. you have call and wait to for your order. Both the other pharmacies I mentioned do it automatically.
My doctor sent in my prescriptions and still the pharmacy does not get them ready. They can do in Cottage Lake and in Silver Lake. But the Kirkland Pharmacy can not and does not provide adequate or even substandard customer service. I have to call each month and order in spite of the hard copy the pharmacist receives from my provider. There is a male pharmacist. I think he is the manager. He ignores you. He notices the young girl he hired on his staff. He was chasing her behind the counter like a dog in heat. I stood in line with three other people being ignored as usual while he simply flirted with her in front of us. He leaned in close and he looked like a pervert. He was old enough to be her dad and we are all waiting for our prescriptions while he's acting like he's in night club. I was so disgusted I asked the other patrons what they think and I shared my comments with them. they all agree that the Kirkland pharmacist is a jerk and the pharmacy is convenient but it doesn't provide customer service. It's the most unpleasant and I would say the worst experience of my shopping experience. That male pharmacist doesn't get it. He is a rudest man and he conveys a sense of distrust. The rest of his staff follow his lead. I don't want him or his staff attending to my health any longer. I just can't take it. I will go on yelp next and I will no longer shop at the Kirkland Safeway cuz it just reminds me of the horrific experience I received at the pharmacy by the pharmacy staff.

Safeway staffing/stocking

First of all, your store is insanely understaffed. I don't blame ANYONE working there, they are obviously working hard. Secondly, how hard is it to keep heavy cream stocked? Every single time I have been here it's either been sold out or there are so few left the last cartons are stuck in the back. Also, heavy cream is a basic ingredient, I don't know why you only have heavy whipping cream.

Safeway most food items.

Despite loving the Safeway on Dodson and Main in Mesa, especially because of the great manager Raul, we have repeatedly had to return or throw away items like yogurt, bread, and toaster strudel because the item was expired when purchased. We have brought it to multiple team members attention when we caught an item before purchase and even called the store once, but there have continued to be issues. We want to continue using the store we know and that is most convenient for us, but a grocery store should not be selling food two months past the expiration date. The included photo was purchased 22nd. We intend to return the item.

Safeway starbucks frappuccino chilled coffee drink

I purchased this item (along with many other items) on Wednesday July 18 2018. Today July 23 2018 I opened it and began to drink it. I noticed it tasted kind of strange. So after ingesting about half I decided to look at the date. The date on the bottle is June 18 2018. So I was drinking an item that was past the date and should have not been on the shelf to sell anymore. I am outraged.

Safeway bottle return

I'm so sorry as I tried to take back just a few cans of Henry's and Milwaukee's best Ice, blue moon as the machine wouldn't take them, the container clerk told me I needed the receipt to get my deposit back. Who in the hell keeps a receipt for beer and or soda? They are not from Washington. All cans where bought in St. Helens Oregon and I had to pay for the deposit and no store including Safeway will give me my deposit back. Now this is a bunch of [censored] excuse my French. All I want is my deposit back that I paid for without these young kids that don't care about there costumers just there pay check. So not happy exspealiy when I paid for the deposit and can't get it back! SO NOT RIGHT

Safeway management, clerks, and homeless people tasting food directly with the spoons use to serve soups at safeway store

Unfortunately, after my husband and I served soups from that food stand, two homeless people, who we saw smoking outside the door before we entered the store; went inside and tasted all four soup containers with the spoon used to serve our containers. This couple, were so hungry, that did not care about others watching them and no management person was present to prevent this situation. I personally talk to one of persons in the kitchen and told him(young black dude) about the happening, he responded, he will be calling the Manager. Then another lady (thin in her late 50's). She said "there's nothing we can do". We last there more than 45 minutes waiting to see if this will be taken care of and no one appeared to tell this starving people not to keep eating for free or tasting all soups from the pots every time they wanted.
We are so sad to be part of these scenarios in a very high valued food store for us. We were used to go get our Sunday soups every week, but with this sick situations happenings in there, we will change our roads to another of better quality clean service.
Lately, I personally saw many homeless people around the doors, but never thought on seeing this not very welcome situation also so close to star bucks booth with employees who could be of help too, just calling a manager.
Unbelievable dirtiness news seen in person! So dirty, that we could not even eat our PAID soups..

This couple, also kept eating and drinking from the drinks fountain pertaining to the hot food restaurant. The employees passed by ignoring them. No one employee took care of the issue.
In addition they requested a person to buy more hot food for them, and also received money by others inside that store. I wish I would taken a movie video inside that store.

Safeway safeway employee working customer service desk

My wife went into the Bisbee Arizona Safeway store to send money through Western-Union. The Issue is my wife does not speak English she was sending money to San Luis Rio Colorado. Chad who was attending customer service I know he does not understand English. He ended up send the money to Colorado even though my wife told she was sending pesos which would make no sense to send to the state of Colorado. My even stated to him is it San Luis Rio Colorado. which he stated yes Colorado. If a worker does not understand Spanish maybe ask for help from the other personal that work there that knows Spanish. I get it we leave in the U.S. but no one has the right to treat my wife like that because she is Mexican.

Safeway employee discrimination based on race

I just left the Safeway on se, 41dt and Woodstock in Portland OR where I was accused by a employee a white employee of shoplifting he made gestures like he was going to physically assault me . I did not steal and furthermore here claimed that Ed post of his job make sure niggrrs like me did not get away with shoplifting. I was extremely embarrassed.

I call bs on this. You were probably acting like a suspicious nutbar... it has NOTHING to do with race. I can tell by your tone that you were probably a dick... and you can be suspicious, or be a jerk no matter what color you are.

So, a white employee checked you. Is it really race? Did you video tape it? Let the world of social media decide, because this sounds like a totally bogus claim. Sorry dude.

Safeway the service at your albertsons on charleston and rainbow

I went to the Albertsons store to pick up some free dinner rolls and use my $10 credit that I received from buying $70 of groceries on my previous visit. So I go to the bakery and show the girl my phone with my free offer. She said she didn't know and took my phone to the other girl who didn't know but said, "Just give him the hard rolls." I went through checkout and was charged $2.99 for the rolls. So I go get in line at customer service to return the incorrect rolls for a refund and to get the correct rolls. The customer service lady was totally inept so I waited for about 10 minutes for her to help three other customers. I finally get to customer service and explain my situation that I didn't create. The situation was created by the bakery girls. After explaining my situation the customer service lady said, "You will need a refund." I agreed, and added that I will also need the free rolls. She exclaimed rather rudely, "Well I don't know which ones they are." I asked if the store manager might be able to help. When I asked that she just shoved my things to the side and proceeded to help the next customer. I said, "What and you doing? You still have to refund my $2.99. She said, "No, you are going to wait for the manager." I explained that I didn't just wait 10 minutes in a customer service line to be pushed aside. She said she didn't care and I was going to wait for the manager. When the manager came I tried to explain what happened but she didn't want to listen. I told her to just refund my total order and I will never come back. She readily obliged. Now I have to go to the Smith's market and thought you would like to know how you lost a good customer for life.

Safeway manager andrea

I am a long time resident in the neighborhood and a "regular" shopper of the Madison street store.
On more than one occasion, in the past week, I have observed negative interactions between managers Andrea, Grace and Joy.
The managers Andrea and Grace, have openly made disparaging remarks to employees. The night "manager" Joy, has been observed belittling and intimidating courtesy clerks.

Andrea, Grace and Joy have been observed intimidating, belittling and passive aggressively berating employees.
It is not what you say, rather how you say it. Employees feel they have no other recourse, and have been told as much from organizations that are suppose to assist them.
These three should receive additional training. It's not what you say rather hiw you say it.

Safeway store cleanliness

The complaint is about the 322 40th St NE Washington, DC 20019 store. The cleanliness of the store and the freshness of the fruits and vegetables is way below standard. I moved to NE DC from Alexandria, where I frequented the Safeway at 3526 King St, Alexandria, VA 22302. The Alexandria Safeway is beautiful, clean, well stocked, and well employed. The NE Safeway is the total opposite! It really needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Every neighborhood deserves and clean place to grocery shop.

Safeway mice in the french bread bins

I was shopping and was looking for the thin rolls of french bread and the manager walking the floor showed me where I could find them. As I squeezed a couple I looked down into the bin and saw a live mice just helping himself to the bread. I walked away deciding not to buy any french bread. As I was walking out the door I saw the manager again and told her about the mouse. She rolled her eyes as if to say it wasn't a big thing. I thought her response was pretty flagrant. But hey that's Safeway

Safeway starbucks employee

It was my worst coffee shopping experience ever at the Starbucks inside Safeway, at first she didn't know how to make the Frappuccinos and she wouldn't listen on how to make one until I asked if she could call her boss and ask, then she said she was waiting for reply, then I asked her what other drinks she knew how to make and her reply was a lot of drinks, I told her that wasn't my questions, then the person called her back on how to make it, then she asked me would it be ok if she used chocolate coconut whipped cream cause she ran out of the regular whipped cream and she didn't want to make it, I was like are you for real, I told her not to put any on, I almost felt like asking her for my money back after that reponse. It be like me sending my apprentices out to a commercial building and having them hook up a 400volt panel with only 2 weeks of training well there smart of enough they probably could do it...

Safeway rewards points

I am writing to you to let you know, that I am disappointed in your rewards points system of deleting the news points at the end of the month. As a devoted customer of yours, I work hard for my money to go to your store and purchase your products and earn rewards points and then come to find out if I don't use on by the end of the month you delete them. To me and to many others and probably to everyone that is a customer of yours the earns reward points it's disappointing that you actually steal, take away without us actually allowing you to, are rewards points that we rightfully earned. So I just thought I would let you know that there are many people who are not very happy with the method that you are doing with your rewards points system. I think there's probably a better way of doing your system without giving them to I found then taking them away. If you're going to give them 2S there should not be a limit on when we can use them. I know that if the word got out to everybody in they really understood what you're doing to us, by stealing our rewards points that are rightfully ours to use pama that you might have many customers that don't shop at your store anymore. I hate to say that that um that's just the way it goes cause people have many many more choices than just to go to your store. And you should realize that .
I'm hopeful that someone in your company will read this and have a few heartfelt feelings for all of their customers that are spending their hard earned money in your store. It would be pretty easy to change the way you're doing your reward point system and make your devoted customers much happier people. And then maybe they wouldn't be going on over to Fred Meyer Walmart all those other grocery stores that are enticing them to shop at their store instead of yours.
So I will be waiting for an answer to this message to you. I'm pretty sure you realize what you're doing to us. And it's not the fault of Employees at your Stores they don't make the policies you do.
I take this complaint earlier but when I got to the proceed the process my complaint section it said that it wouldn't even be recognized as it wasn't 350 words are more. That's crazy! Why does a complaint or an idea make any difference if it's 5 or 350 words?
Well I guess I got to complaints in there now. I just hope um you will understand your customer's feelings towards this and maybe remedy the situation.

Safeway groceries wrong prices

Complaint 1.

I'm submitting receipt and store online price pics.
Broccoli was 99 cents a pound.
Charged 2.99 a pound

Complaint 2.

Earlier week there were 3 coupons on front page of ad, limit 2 ea.
Lucerne eggs any dozen, .88 cents each, signature English muffins 6 count, 88 cents each.
I only noticed eggs wrung up wrong so had customer service credit to EBT card. Now I noticed English muffins are reg price .
This is happening 2 weeks in row.
