Safeway petaluma safeway thumbs down

Today at the Safeway store In Petaluma, Ca on McDowell... I was completely embarrassed and fed up. I Shop at Safeway just about every other day but tonight made me rethink about if this store/company deserves my patronage.
This store has been re-configuring their isles..I was walking by as a woman suggested to this employee (tall dirty blonde curly hair wearing glasses pushing a gray cart-looked like he was re-labeling shelves or something) that they put maps at the door for people to find things. The employee replied " you should know where everything is!" *my mouth dropped open * the lady said " didn't you change things this week?" To which the employee replied, " you'll learn better if you go look for it" I am livid and walk away without saying anything to this guy. When I got to the register I asked the cashier to call the manager so she asked for a manager over the loud speaker. The manager called her on her phone and after she told her a customer asked to speak with her, she said she wasn't coming. The cashier told me to tell the next cashier over who she said was the best she coukd do..so I told him.
I am truly sick and tired of the rude grumpy pepole that this store employs! I dread going to this store! Get it together safeway, you aren't the only grocery store in town. If your employees keep treating your customers the way they do, you may not have a store to employ.

Safeway not hiring african americans

I have lived in walla walla wa for 2 years. I grew up in walla walla and left in 1975 to join USAF.
I noticed in the the years I visited and since I moved here last year I have NEVER seen an African American. I have seen many other races but never African Americans. Is it walla walla safeways that don't hire? I see other grocery stores hiring African Americans, walmart, kmart.
By the way I'm white I retired from USAF and enjoyed diversity.

Safeway safeway burlingame - store id:1547

I went to Safeway to get some milk and cereals for my daughter. While paying the male cashier told me A2 Milk is not a lactose free milk. "It's doesn't show lactose free!" I told him it may not show lactose free but it states that it's for tummy discomfort and I just got the same last week using my wic check. He replied, "They are getting so tough with this right now, I don't want to get a write-up." He called someone named Jessica and she said if it goes through just scan it. The male cashier continues to scan my items and using his loud voice, "This is not lactose-free, it doesn't say lactose! This customers are gonna get me a write-up!" I felt belittled, embarrassed and discriminated! He even said, "How is this discrimination!" He continues to argue and make inappropriate comments about my groceries and me as a customer! I wasn't able to hold myself and started crying asking for a manager. I told him I will leave the milk and just pay for the rest. The lady behind me offered to pay for the milk I was trying to get. I feel like ALL EYES were on me! I was going to walk away but this should not happen to me or anyone using WIC or other form of help! The manager came and couple more employees and they just bagged all my groceries and helped me in my car. The manager said he will have a talk with the cashier and other manager.

There's a time in our life that we need help and people around us should understand what we are going through. I wasn't stealing anything from Safeway, the store you are working for. It just happened that the milk that my child doesn't get tummy aches doesn't say lactose free. I did not asked for you to pay for it, I'm using my wic check. Why do you have to shout and embarrass me in public when all you need to do is do your job as a cashier and scan my items? If it doesn't go with my check then I can pay cash.
To Safeway Burlingame,
I hope your employees will have proper training in dealing with customers. With whatever issues they may encounter while working. You should educate all employees of customers rights and proper customer service.

Safeway pharmacy

Tuesday (The actual name of the employee) is just disrespectful in the way in which she attempts to address people. I was brushed off, not given eye contact when being spoke to, and generally rushed by this Woman when she attempted to 'Help Me'. She was wearing Yoga Pants and a T-Shirt and made me feel like I inconvenienced her while visiting.
Horrible Customer Service does not even begin to describe this Woman when she had to call my insurance to verify my information. She almost didn't even call because she was 'Almost Positive' it was too late in the day, but it was not by any means and my insurance company was still open.
She told me she should would call us after she spoke with them and I was given no follow up. I showed up just before close and no action had been taken other than to inform me other than a note that says 'No Insurance'. I have insurance, this did no help for me.
She is rude beyond belief and this being the only pharmacy in town, this needs to have some attention drawn to it. Since the remodel this entire store is a pain, and the lack of respect is astounding.

Safeway safeway fish-meat products gone bad before sell thru date in annandale, va

We purchased a value package of chicken tights twice: in July and June, 2017. Both times they were gone bad before thru date. We stopped buying raw chicken products. On Aug 15, we purchased Atlantic Salmon Fillets. It was packaged on Aug 14, sell thru Aug 17. We opened the package same day and it smelled bad, the fish-meat texture had already started to break down. The Safeway store #1588. 7414 Little River Tpke, Annandale, VA 22003.

Safeway pharmacy

Yes i was at the safeway tring to pick up my meds using apple health which experied last month as was fully reinstated. I was unable to get my meds from this location for some reason. I didnt have a provider one number with me but was able to pick up meds from another location. Im in pain and cant travel across town that easy. Something is wrong and the service sucks from the women at the counter

Safeway safeway cake bakery co worker

I today 08/15/17 i went to put an order Safewau bakery, I'm looking at the catalog and I don't see a design for a 17 year old boy so I'm looking around if there's was anyone to help me and there was a young lady like 8 feet away from me and she didn't even have the courtesy to walk over and say may I help she was so rude(by the way don't know her name I think it's like shantaya) then I asked her if there were any more designs she said no you have to pick from the catalogue that's when I knew I needed to speak to someone else who was polite I asked for the manager and then I asked to see the pad in which has the cake flavors, size, filling etc. she said "i have to fill that out that's my job" I was just asking to look at it.she was like oh my god and called a young lady Named Asia She was so nice and polite . I've come to safewaybakery 3 times now for cakes and never had an issue until now. I felt so disrespected. No one should be treated like that when the only thing they wanna do is buy a cake .

Safeway cashier

Tonight at the Safeway store In Santa Rosa ca in college ave.. I was completely embarrassed. I Shop at Safeway ever other day but tonight made me rethink. I usually shop at the one located at Marlow but had my 5yr old son with me so went to the one closer to my home. Big mistake!... my total order was about $30. I ran my card and the machine wasn't taking it. I did it about 3 times then the cashier took my card and felt it and told me my card felt funny and his cards were not as thick. So I smilied took my card back and used another.. same response from the machine. The cashier then made a huffing sound and moved me to another register. I was ok with that and then asked if I could just try the first card again to make sure there was not anything wrong with it he looked frustrated but I working in retail myself in the past for 10+ years just smiled and put the chip in! It worked just fine ... for a cashier to take my card and tell me it feels funny like I was scamming or trying to pull something was totally uncalled for. Not only did my card work just fine when we switched machines I felt judged.. It I noticed he has his food at the register and was most likely getting ready for break.. so now I could see why he seemed even more frustrated that the card reader wasn't working. Simple put the cashier was out of line. If you are going to have people as the face of your store have the ones your want your coustmers to remember in a positive experience on the way in and out. I was so frustrated when I got home I told my husband and he was lesser then pleased to say the least. I will also be making a in person complaint to the manager with my recipe so he can know how his cashier treats people.

Safeway deli department

I've never been so disappointed in this safeway because of their deli department. Their deli department is completely UNORGANIZED and the employees have no sense of urgency. I'm currently sitting waiting for the two women to acknowledge that I'm standing here waiting to be assisted. They've both have walked opposite directions as they MADE eye contact with me but did not say a word. I made sure I waited 10 minutes before walking away. Still was not helped. I come here everyday, and they do not greet me, they make sure they finish their conversations before assisting the customer. Some of them don't abide by food safety. They clearly don't want to deal with customers and they don't want to do their job.

I went back to the two women and I went to complain about how i was waiting ten minutes and still no one acknowledged me. Their excuse was that I was texting and they wanted to wait until after I was done. That was their excuse for not wanting to do their job.They lied to me, they clearly did not want to do their job.. I spent ten minutes texting this message and my friends about their terrible customer service. I informed them that I was texting about them not coming to me and finishing their conversation. While I was texting, they made eye contact but walked away. Their excuse they wanted to wait until I got off my phone. Another customer said that they were just being polite by waiting for me to finish and I told her to shove it and stay out of it because this does not concern her. Yeah I admit that it is rude to interrupt me while I was texting, but they could have at least acknowledged me and said they would deal with me when I was done. I texted some of my friends about how these women are still ignoring me and it was not until after I got off the phone that they acknowledged me. I left at this point not wanting to do business with them and then returned to complain and tell them why they lost their business. Then they and the customer that told me they were just being polite laughed at me. I could tell and see it.

Safeway bad produce

I am writing about my Safeway Store in Honolulu (Hawaii Kai ~ 96825) Some of their produce is shameful. I am referring to their green beans which they sell for $ 3.49 a pound. This whole last week, the same crummy beans have been in the Produce department. These beans are so old that you can double them up and they won't even break. These beans are so bad that if Safeway would offer I could take as many as I wanted FREE OF CHARGE, I would say NO Thank you

Safeway I am complaining about an employee taking money out of our car and the management not helping with info of said employee

My wife was at the Safeway in Graham, WA, on 10105 224th St E, after she was dontg shopping she got the kids in the car than the groceries, after that she realized she had to pee, instead of waking up our son, she rolled the windows down and locked the car with our almost 5 yr old daughter and almost 2 yr old son still in the car and ran to the bathroom, she wasn't gone long, but when she got to the car there was a few people hovering around the car, harassing our kids and one of them was an employee of Safeway who was in our car and now $10 is missing from my wife's purse, I call the Safeway to get the name of the employee and they refused to give me the info, only giving me the first name, they told me I have to wait til Monday to file a complaint. I spoke to a manager by the name of Sean.

If people disagree with the law, then there are was of going about it to possibly change it, breaking in to someone's car and stealing their money, is not one of them

And no my wife followed the law upon leaving them in the car. It was only for a few mins and the windows were down enough to let air in and up enough to prevent someone from unlocking the door, the only reason the employee and the group she was with got in is the talked my daughter into unlocking her door, as our child lock prevents her from opening it. Look up the law before spewing your incestlike ignorance.

Safeway lack of service

Visited the Safeway Store at 3125 Stockton Hill Rd in Kingman Arizona. Waited almost 5 minutes at the Bakery counter and was completely ignored by two Bakery employees. An employee with a name tag of TAMMY chose to continue her personal conversation with another employee completely ignoring the customers and the other one continued to load bread on their racks. So I gave up, told the clerk on my way out and left to go to another grocery. Called later to let the manager know and was left on hold for over 5 MINUTES. Dont waste your time at this store.

Safeway customer service

When the new Safeway opened, I was excited to have a new store on East West Highway at 3702 East-West Highway in Hyattsville Md. Unfortunately, shopping here since its opening has been a gross disappointment. I often find outdated products on the shelf. For example the Starbucks coffee in the dairy section was dated July 27 expiration date. I often find outdated yogurt products on the shelf as well.

When I asked in "Lawrence" in the Seafood dept. the difference between two types of shrimp and he replied that I would have to call corporate headquarter to get that information. When I got to the checkout counter there was only one non-express lane opened. This was around 6:00 pm on a Thursday. I will think twice before shopping here again.

Safeway movie rental

Do used to have a pretty good movie rental system that I liked I used it frequently and had no complaints now you switch to the silly Redbox thing which has a limited selection does not work all the time and now on top of that I'm trying to watch a movie that I rented and it says it's an on authorized version and has the sound muted in this big message plastered across the screen what are you guys doing you screwed up a really good thing for something that was really screwed up

Safeway store employee

My name is Susie Lambor an I just want to make it known that my last visit to this Safeway was very unpleasant. My husband was very uncomfortable the other day as he was trying to get information on placing a order for a cake. He said as he was waiting to be helped there was foul language going on behind the counter, once one of the employees saw him her tempo changed an the female employee was being a little to friendly with him making him feel embarrassed.

Safeway groceries. no checkers

On the afternoon of 08/08/2017 I filled my cart with Groceries at the local Safeway when I got in line to check out I saw there was over 9 people in line with very full carts and only one checker strapped for time I left my full cart, very poor management to top it off I attempted to call corporate twice the first time I was on hold for over 10 minutes with no answer, thinking that their was a mistake I hung up and called again the second time close to 15 minutes

Safeway $75 off $80 purchase coupon after taking survey coupon not real

After taking the survey which has Safeway digital fingerprints all over it. Coupon is never available. Safeway is directly linked to this no denying it. Please send me my coupon as promised by your marketing firm to my email failure to respond to this complaint will reflect a non compliance by Safeway foods and this matter will be sent to the Better Business Bureau as well as to a few selected law firms as well as my local news stations.

These scams are nothing new, and almost certainly have nothing to do with Safeway. Anyone can save their logo from the internet, and slap it on a graphic. They also could have downloaded that bar code image from anywhere. A cursory search on the internet shows this is a scam, and it's not the first, either. I've seen these for Costco for years.

I mean, didn't the terrible spelling, and incorrect capitalization tip you off? And that survey was garbage - if they were really offering a $75 gift card for a survey, it wouldn't be one with such lame questions. There's no information gleaned from it.

Safeway one cashier open at 7pm on a sunday night

Your 710 Bancroft Road location in Walnut Creek, CA had at least 25-30 customers in line with only ONE cashier open! Sunday nights are prime shopping times for customers and this store should be allocated more payroll to cover during peak times. There was nothing one person manning the self check out and ONE on a main register. With the California state law in place where customers cannot do self checkout when purchasing alcohol, it creates a need for more cashiers. Regardless of whether it's a payroll need or a staffing need, this store manager needs to pay closer attention to customer traffic trends and staff accordingly. There were customers waiting for 45 minutes in line. That's ridiculous. The new Ygnacio Road store never seems to have this issue and is amazing. My husband and I started going the extra few miles down the road to that one because we always are so frustrated with the Bancroft store. I have been in retail for 15+ years and this seems like a case of pure mismanagement.

Safeway safeway rodeo ca

I just got home from the Rodeo Ca 94572 zip code Safeway while I was there I thought it was disturbing to see a employee I know Lenard a mentally handicapped employee being heraised by other employees it was causing a big seene in the front of the checkout after Lenard left the employees were still laughing about the situation one girl a young black girl and the security guard were the ones picking on him I believe this is totally unacceptable and I've noticed lots of times in this store very unprofessional employees on personal cell phones while checking u out and using profanity more than once

Safeway floral department

I was at Safeway on 145 Jackson st in San Francisco 94111 and I wanted to buy flowers. I asked the cashier to ask someone to help me. Cashier announced on the phone for customer service to help me at the floral department. 10 mins later, no one shows up. I ask another gentleman who's packing bags to call someone for me. He did but still no one shows up. It's been 20 mins now. I told him to just wrap the flowers for me, it's not freakin rocket science. He said he won't, it's not his job. Finally when a customer service lady shows up, she starts attending others customers in line while I've been waiting for her for 25 mins to just WRAP FLOWERS!
Why the hell does safeway have a floral department when there is NO ONE to attend that department and it's customers! What a waste of time. And you need to coach your people how to help customers and talk to them! Worst customer service ever.
