Safeway mushy fish

I purchased Dover fish fillets from the meat counter and after rinsing (they smelled strong) and cooking, they were not edible. They were mushy and goey inside. This is not the first time. I recall several other times I have bought bad fish from Safeway. When I returned the fish, I explained to the person that it was not the first time and that would they please tell the meat department that they need to change SOMETHING! I was told yes, she would tell them. As I was still standing there, a clerk went by and she handed them the fish and said ..." take this back to the meat department. " No other information. I will never buy fish again from this store.

I work at Safeway and when you bring back mushy fish to the meat department that in no way means we are going to sell it again. That means that we are going to give it to the PIC in the meat department to dispose of.

Safeway will not honor their own coupons

Ron the manager of the safeway, has repeadly refused my coupons that Safeway sends me in the mail. I have to call Safeway complaint line, and it takes days to get corrected. They say I will will get a call back, but they never call. Why should a consumer have to go through days of asking why wont he honor my coupon. I have asked him several times why he is refusing to honor their coupons. He has even made the coment of " I dont have time to worry wehat or what not a coupon says. Well I do and I have posted my story on Facebook, and I work frontlines for a major Airline, and I share my storey whenever can. Ron has asked me to shop somewhere else, and well I would never shop at Safeway, or any of their stores.

Safeway old item on shelves

Safeway is selling on their shelves items past the "best time to purchase" and are not doing anything about it. The store in Pinole has been repetitive filling their shelves with old products and people (like mu husband) in a hurry and trusting the ethics of the managers in charge of providing quality, end up buying and perhaps consuming food that are spoiled.

I know the manager at Safeway should make sure everybody else is doing their job, BUT Safeway mostly DOES NOT stock their shelves. The companies that want Safeway to carry their items hire "stockers" that go to a predetermined list of stores to restock, check dates, etc. For instance, I was a "stocker" for Sara Lee, and we even stocked the stores merchandise (for bread) because that's what I got paid to do. If I didn't check the bread to make sure it wasn't opened, moldy, or smashed, it would stay there until a customer brought it to their attention or a random employee just so happen to see it. It sucks..but it's true.

Safeway parking

Safeway employees are apparently not discouraged from parking as close to the store as possible during their work shift. While not illegal, it is very rude and takes good spaces away from elderly customers as well as their "valuable" customers who may be purchasing a lot of items, and would perhaps not like to cart their items further across the cracked parking lot. Letters have been sent addressed to management both on the local level, as well as the regional level, and no differences have been made. I especially don't appreciate the two employees who utilize handipcapped sticker parking from time to time, and then run into the store so that they are not late for their shifts.

Correction...I was a safeway employee and we ARE discouraged from parking close to the store. But I'm 20 years old, 5 foot 1 and 95 lbs. I used to work the morning shift. No ###ing way I was gonna walk the darkened parking lot (safeway is too cheap to light their lots after some hours) for some customer to walk a shorter distance. While I understand your argument for elderly people, most customers could stand to walk a few miles, actually...

This is reason that Safeway has a service out option for any customer that has more than two grocery bags or any customer that requests it. If most of a Safeway's clientele is senior citizens then no matter what there will be an older customer stuck in the back of the parking lot. Quit being stubborn and self righteous and take a hand out.

Safeway false advertising

BEWARE~I fully believe that Safeway is guilty of false advertising.Looking at their "Super Price Coupon Specials!" it had buy any two Pepsi~Cola 12~packs and get 3 more free plus 1 free participating bag of Tositos. The regular price for the sodas was $5.99 each, but with the club card they were to be $3.99 each and I used the club card.I was charged $5.99.

I spoke up and said I should have been charged the club card price.A supervisor and/or manager was called over. She said that you have to pay the regular price for the items.I asked her where did it say that on the ad and she said that is what it means(however it was not stated in the circular).I find it interesting that there are tons of disclaimers located on the weekly ad circular yet no where does it say one has to pay full price for these items. When I went to Harris Teeter they confirmed that when they have a buy two get three free promotion and the item is also on sale, you pay the sales price.Safeway's customer service is lacking and I think they mislead customers on purpose since a lot of people who shop there probably don't want to take the time to complain about not getting an item at the price they should have to pay.The people in the long line behind me agreed that I should have been given the sales price.Beware of Safeway and make sure you study your receipt to see that you are charged correctly.

Once again, on a weekly basis they false advertise. The store in Glenwood Springs, Colorado is the most guilty of false advertising and under handed business practices. The meat department every single week will advertise several meat products on sale. The will have the sign up, but none of the actual products on sale are marked. This is a weekly occurrence. The also love to blame corporate for not sending items that are suppose to be on sale and they always every week say they did not get the order in, or that they did not send them the product. TODAY again, I bought steaks that were in their 50% mark down for steaks. I get home and they only took off 25%, yet they pulled off the 50% off tag. There is no mistake THEY KNOW THEY ARE RIPPING YOU OFF AND CONTINUE TO DO SO EVERY SINGLE WEEK. IT IS A DISGRACE TO LOOK AT WEEKLY LOYAL CUSTOMERS AND DO THIS EVERY SINGLE WEEK AFTER WEEK AND SCREW US OVER. No one in corporate does a thing and half the time the store managers blame corporate for all their woes.

I will talk with the local district attorney tomorrow to file for damages against them. I'M DONE BEING LIED TO AND ROBBED OPENLY EVERY SINGLE WEEK. ENOUGH.

Safeway false advertising

My local Safeway at 7th Avenue and Osborn Street has the Locally Grown signs everywhere, but they can not show you the actually produce which is grown locally. They say that the tomatoes are Arizona-grown, but the case they come in, the stickers on the produce and the tags say that they are grown in Mexico. I also found herbs they clam are grown locally, but the label on the package says Argentina. Isn't this fraud, does not truth in advertising come in to play? Its deceptive. Makes me wonder if their Organics brand is actually organic.

Safeway scam charges

Today, 2/28/09, Safeway store in Vallejo, CA on Admiral Callaghan Lane overcharged me for grocery items that were advertised as reduced prices. I was charged for two extra items I did not have which totaled $13.17 and $15 for other items that should have been reduced by coupon reduction. I went back in the store to claim my refund which totaled $28.17. The Cashier who addressed me rudely, was already helping a senior woman figure the amount of her refund for overcharged items. This is not the first time I have had to do so.

Safeway lotto scratcher redemption

My boyfriend went to the south davis safeway to redeem over $100 we had collected over a few weeks in lotto scratchers... Well he walked out with only $76! This idiot blindly trusted who ever was handling the tickets, and even though he knew the number was too low, he left anyway thinking there was nothing he could do since "the clerk tore the tickets." bull-bleep! We had a stack of over 20 cards, from $1 to $3; a mere three of those cards were, respectively, a $21, $28, and $15 winner (Two rockin 7s and a poker game). Now, you tell me that doesn't bleeping add up! I am more angry with my idiot boyfriend for not speaking up and at least figuring out w-t-h was going on there, but still, in the future I will only redeem one or two cards a time myself and that way hopefully not be ripped off.

Beware! Redeem in small quantities and know exactly the amount or be prepared to have some bleep bleep steal your bleeping money!

Safeway scanner overcharge

The scanners are charging different prices than the price listed on the shelf. When I called to alert the store staff to the issue (not asking for any reimbursement honestly it's so small its not worth my time to drive back and claim it) they were rude and handed me off to a stock boy to explain it too. When I described the products I had been overcharged on so he could correct the error and prevent future people from being ripped off, he said "they are still overcharging? That happened to me earlier today when I bought myself a soda". That sent off a red flag to me that the store staff knew about the issue but took no action to correct it, preferring instead to continue overcharging customers. Later today I will call the Alameda County Weights and Measures to file a formal complaint. I know Safeway was sued in 2007/2008 for overcharging looks like they have not learned their lesson and made any changes to their business practices.

It's only $2.40 out of my pocket this time but it signals a much larger problem with Safeway as an honest business.

Von's (Safeway) San Pedro on Gaffey St. I was overcharged $3 for a bag of charcoals on Christmas Day. Cashier (Ebony) didn't care and supervisor was rude. I made them give me back the difference plus appropriate tax because I don't allow people to rip me off. I will never shop at that store again. I know no one wants to work on Christmas day. Just don't be rude to customers.

I am very tired of this practice at Safeway, and since it does not happen on a regular basis at any of the other 4 store I use, I must charge that this is intentional! I'm contacting the State of Oregon, and I will take them to small claims court if Oregon takes no action. I've been complaining for years, and it's time Safeway accepts the blame.

Safeway is the very worst retailer for scanner error, in my opinion, and to make it worse, they do not correct their errors when confronted. I have reported the situation to my state (Oregon) but nothing gets done about it. The problem is that when the consumer files a complaint, the amounts are so small as to draw little attention, and certainly little or no concern from the very bureaucrats who work for us taxpayers. I usually find 3 or 4 scanner errors a month at Safeway, and would find far more if I were to shop there more often. I normally go out of my way to avoid the Safeway that's 2 blocks from my apartment in Portland, but when I run out of eggs or milk for breakfast, there is no other store in this neighborhood. I truly believe the problem is worse at inner-city stores, and Safeway seems to specialize in city stores. My favorite supermarket in Portland is New Seasons (a small Portland chain), but since there is no store nearby, I prefer to shop at Kroger's Fred Meyer. We do have a Whole Foods in this area, but I do not go in for overpriced grocers (Safeway is overpriced enough for me!) I read recently that there are more errors on sale items, and this has been the case for my purchases.

If you were in Canada, if an item's price is higher than its shelf pice, you can get the item for free (Safeway included)!

Though, I do not see a lot of issues with incorrect price tags at the Safeway near me (Calgary, Canada).

Safeway disrespectful employee behavior

I went to Safeway, early in the morning, to pick up items to make tuna salad at work. When I asked the employee in the dairy area where to find hard boiled eggs I was rudely told, "Damn, you don't want to have to do anything do you!". Shocked and not ready to engage this man that early in the morning, I made my way to the deli department and asked the employee if she knew where hard boiled eggs may be found and was told they didn't have any packaged but were available at the salad bar. When I found them and picked up a container to put them in, that crazy lady yells across the deli counter, "What you need to do is say, Mam can you please help me - I need some hard boiled eggs from the salad bar". When she knew I wanted hard boiled eggs, why didn't she get them for me when I asked and then to aggravate me with a lecture on how to ask her properly! This behavior is outrageous and unacceptable!

Not to excuse the individuals' behavior but Safeway employees are a very put-upon lot.

They're grievously underpaid and are routinely sent to "smile school" for corporate indoctrination.

The corporation itself is sleazy: at check out one is asked to donate to the cause du jour & if you do, Safeway puts your donation into an acct and makes interest off it. Then it donates your money claiming it's from the corporation itself.

Pretty darn disgusting--making money off your donation & claiming it as its own.

Safeway accused of asking for money

I have a Safeway not 2 blocks from my home which, I go to all the time. I went the on 05/17/09 to shop . As, I approched my vehicle to unload my groceries a Lady came up and asked for money, I told her, I only use my Debit Card . She then turned to ask the Lady next to my car for money. As a safety for other Customer, I decided to re-enter the store to let them know what was going on. I did that told the Individual what she was wearing. as, I was getting ready to leave a Store Manager by the Name of Mike Milton approched me and told me to leave that he had got a complaint about me approching individuals for money. I got really upset and told him, I did not . He walked away by that time, I was very upset. So, I waited in my car for awhile to calm down. Then, I decided to go back in the store to talk to the first individual I spoke with, she was down at the end of the store opposit of where I was parked, I was going that direction, I passed Mike Milton, I was still upset over the Incident in the parking lot he said, I guess, I owe you and apologie . I told him, I did not want his apologie. I approched the other person and told her, I would not shop here anymore, she said she was sorry, that she had given him the description of the other Individual and he got the whong person. I was so Embrassed over the whole Situation. I have worked in Public service for Thirty Some years and have never treated anyone like that, The mistake he made is unforgiveable.

This is one of those things that you'll look back on and laugh. I'm already laughing and it only happened a week ago. Most people just tell the poor bums that they don't have any change, and move on. You saw the need to go one step further and drive the poor soul in need away from their comfortable parking lot to the sewers beneath the city. That's when the karma kicked in. You . . . became . . . the bum. . . .
For a few agonizing minutes you knew what they felt every day. Maybe next time you wont be so quick to pass judgment on the homeless.

Safeway customer service

I am writing this letter to inform you about the offensive and unacceptable behavior of Safeway Assistant Manager, Felicia Fisher, at the Safeway store in Sacramento located at 3320 Arden Way Sacramento, California 95825.

My mother and I went to shop at Safeway today, as we do regularly. We decided to get a sandwich at the deli before shopping. The deli counter did not seem that busy, but the sandwich took approximately 15 minutes to make, which I felt was an excessive amount of time. The deli cashier was very slow, so we decided to eat our sandwiches, finishing our shopping and then purchase our sandwiches and groceries all at one time. We took the tags off the sandwich wrappings to ensure we paid the correct amount at the register.

While shopping for groceries, I received an important call from a business associate. I told him to meet me in the Safeway parking lot to deliver the construction plans, so my mother and I briefly stepped outside in front of the store to meet my associate. While in front of the store, the Assistant Manager, Felicia Fisher, stormed up to me and my mother, and accusingly in a rude tone, demanded the receipts for the deli sandwiches. We immediately explained to her that we were coming back in to finish grocery shopping and planned to pay for them then.

Ms. Fisher stated that she recognized my mother as a frequent shopper, but said she did not know me. She then forcefully said we must follow her back in the store and pay for the sandwiches now. We complied and followed Ms. Fisher back in the store to pay for our sandwiches. My mother and I felt especially disrespected and embarrassed, as other customers began to take notice of Ms. Fisher’s hostility. At this time, the general manager, Joe Chappelle, came over to see what was transpiring. Ms. Fisher inaccurately told Mr. Chappelle we were not planning to pay for our sandwiches. I showed the sandwich price tags to Mr. Chappelle, explained the situation and assured him we would pay for our sandwiches when our grocery shopping was completed. In an effort to diffuse the situation, I went to the counter and paid for the sandwiches. While I was leaving the store, I showed the receipt to Ms. Fisher. She responded saying that my mother and I were no longer allowed in the store and should we return to the store, she will call the police on us!

My family has been loyal customers of Sacramento Safeway stores for more than 30 years. In that time, I have never been more offended and disrespected than I was today by Ms. Fisher. As a small business owner, I know first hand that reputation is everything. I do not make it a habit of writing letters, but the treatment my mother and I received today, from an Assistant Manager, a trusted leader of your company, was just too offensive not to report. I trust you will take the appropriate measure to ensure Ms. Fisher’s actions do not become acceptable customer service practice at Safeway. I look forward to your response

I regularly shop at Safeway - usually at the Jantzen beach Portland OR store, and have noticed that employees and managers do not enforce the law of prohibiting dogs in grocery stores.

Dogs are the number one transmitter of zoonotic diseases to humans and allowing them in to Safeway stores is unsafe on many levels. Maybe they should change their name to UnSafeway

Eating and consuming and item you have not paid for in a grocery store is stealing. You can be asked by management to never visit their establishment again for doing that. However most grocery stores are lax on the issue. From a law enforcement point of view, you stole, and you had no intention of paying. Otherwise you would have paid for the sandwhiches first or not have eaten them and removed the tags. You are only upset because this store has exceptional employees who are attentive and you were caught. I commend the assistant manager for doing her job and making it known that stealing will not be tolerated in her store.
Your story does not get any sympathy because you infact, according to the law, did steal from safeway. Whether you had any intention of pay for the sandwhiches or not you stole.

You know today has changed my whole outlook on Safeway as after a bad experience in the store I to0 was threatened with being thrown out or the police being called. Did I walk with a sandwich no, I complained about being overcharged. Not once but 3 times I was overcharged and for amts up to 25.00. When I insisted that the asst mgr look at receipts which had already been checked at customer service and overcharges verified my money was refunded. but when I was so insolent as to still want the items at the advertised price. I was told I was abusive, I was firm but after 3 times burnt I did think it was appropriate, I did not shout or curse but I know other shoppers close by could hear me trying to explain the problem of overcharging. All I wanted was correct pricing and specials advertised! Oh and I didnt mention double scanning items in addtion to not special specials, so check your receipts, I can almost guarentee that 1 out of 5 will have mistake in their favor for a dollar or less. That is a lot of money my friends when you add the thousands of overcharges each week. But dont complain or they might call police. They paid a 2.7 million settlement in Ca last year for this kind of behavior.. After other stories on the web tonight I am thinking call the police threat is company policy for anything to shut you up.
However I would have never left the store without paying or telling the clerk but I think management could have been more discrete. As to not coming back, I would tell every friend I had, they know your character and see if they want to shop there anymore.

Well normally when people take an item outside a store, and claim they will come back and pay for it they had no intention of paying for it in the first place. This was your own fault. So you took the tags off the sandwiches. So you took the tags off the wrappings. You claimed that because you took the tags off the wrapping you intended to pay. Well it can be taken another way also, they can take it as you were trying to steal the sandwiches by taking the tags off of them as well becauase you can easily claim the sandiwich has no tags so you bought it from home/another safeway. That just makes you look more guilty. You have no reason to be upset, unless the real reason you are upset is because you got caught.

Felicia did her job perfectly and she should be commended. I've noticed that a lot of hindu indians try to get away with this scam. Along with trying to switch price tags on items so they can pay less.

You should not eat something you have not paid And then to leave the store for any reason makes it even more difficult for the employees to believe you . The deli has a cash register, why didn't you pay for the food when you recieved it

Safeway selling expired juices for 50% off!

Ok, so a month ago I was shopping at my local Beacon Heights Safeway when I saw that Safeway Cranberry Lemonade drinks in tetra packs (5x200mL) were on sale! The sign says ' REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE - 50% OFF/$1.00) so I was like "what the heck, it won't hurt to stock up". I made sure I check the expiry date on ONE of the packages and it says 2009 OCT xx so I bought 5 packs. Just today, as I was drinking the juice box, I thought it tasted a little 'bland'. I thought it couldn't be the juice because I already checked the expiry date and must be the new toothpaste I'm using. Just when I was about to finish it, I decided to look at the expiry date which says '2008 OC 25'! By the way, today is 2009 AL 24! This juice expired 6 months ago and they are STILL selling it 5 months it expired! I was outraged! This was not the first time Safeway has been selling expired products - a year ago, I purchased some Safeway Cheese Puffs from them and it was 5 days over the expiry date and STALE! Extremely disappointed - you pay for outrageously overpriced products there and the quality is worse than large supermarkets such as Lobalws!

From now on, I will remind myself to check the expiry date on EVERY ITEM I buy anywhere.

Yes, they do this all the time. It stems from product not "rotated" properly. For this, they would require to PAY employees (or spend the money on the employee-time) to sift through the shelves for expired product. I used to work at Safeway and i know that they are trying so hard to understaff their stores (hence why you only have 1 or 2 cashiers and they have to keep calling the costumer service/grocery clerks to cash) that they just do not have time to sift through all the products for expiry date.

This is why you will never find anyone with good pre-disposition or experience workign there. They starve the poeple that work there by giving them 2 - 4hr shifts a week and the people they hire are then inexperienced kids that dont really care.

Then after all that waithing the supercisor came back and asked us to move back to registers that we came from .the line at that time had grown very long so when we moved back to the first register we ended up at the back of lets say 30 people and askked the cashier and supervisor why we had to get to the end of the line all he said was he couldnt do anything about it. Jason Tillo sure had alot of rude things to say, and he rambled on alot of nonsense insults that was it
Cynthia 01, was nice and shared her experience with me and I agree that computers do give us a hard time sometimes, and she was put in almost similar situations. The thing was the supervisor that closed and left before making sure that the manager for the next shift had everything under control was also at fault. For as long as I have worked as a manager it was routine to wait until the next shift was off to a good start is standard procedure and if not then it should be .

You tell Jason to leave you alone. No offence but you are acting as immature as he is. I also have the feeling that the only way Jason is going to leave you alone, like someone else said is to ignore him and be the more mature person. I like the way you spelled how though if that misspelling means what I think it means and is spelled that way. :D.

I don't think that Jason has kids, you have to have sex to have kids and no girl would want to have sex with him unless they are a (the word you misspelled.)

Reading your letter I do not think you have anger issues. Jason does. IF the tegisters shut down they don't know how to fix it you have to get a child or teen like myself to fix it.(joke from married with children and different strokes where it is implied that children have better computer technology skills than adults) but i think they should help whoever came first.

Safeway employee improper use of my credit card!

Store number [protected] randolph road, rockville md) [protected].

On march 31st, 2009, in the check-out line, my credit card didn't scan thru the credit card scanner. I asked the cashier if she could enter the credit card numbers to complete the transaction. The cashier told me no and that my card is stripe. This was a new credit card. Then the cashier took my card and took some lotions and put the lotion on the black stripe of the card, surprized, I asked her what she was doing? She replied this works, I do it all the time, then she further took the card and swipe the edges of a plastic bag over the card black strip, I asked her what are you doing again, I stated to the cashier, you don't have permission to that to my card, she kept on doing this as if I didn't say anything, I asked for the manager, then she entered the card number in the cashier machine manually as I previously asked, the transaction with thru. I still asked to speak to the manager, I told the manger what happened, he didn't seem to want to hear what I told him about how his cashier's augmentive attitude, and the improper handling of my credit card, and if my credit card was stripped? She the cashier may have stripped the card but rubbing lotion on the card, he didn't seem to care what she did, his was interested if my care was stripped, so he charged a piece of candy on the card and ran the card thru the scanner, the card was not stripped. As I spoke to him again, it is the principle and the argumentive natue of his employee and poor traning in attitude towards the customer and improper handling of my credit card. I told him I going to have make a former complaint with him, he told me that was not necessary that he will speak with the employee. Yeah right! I will make a former complaint with safeway's corporation executive branch.

As a former Safeway cashier, we all had our own tricks for getting stubborn debit and credit cards to work. We very commonly put a plastic bag overtop the card, and some had tricks like the thing with lotion. Getting some lotion on your credit card is not going to hurt it, and I suggest you quickly, but surely, remove the stick from your ### and get over it. Some people just aren't satisfied if they can't ### about something.

You should think about filing a formal complaint rather than a former complaint. You'll get further trust me. Oh and spell check...look into it. You'll at least look smarter.

P.S. Many companies are not allowing employees to manually enter your PERSONAL information for YOUR protection. Order yourself another card.

Safeway terrible experience

I can tell you first hand that if there is any justice in this world, these people will end up in jail. If you are a prospective consumer or employee of this firm, stay away. They don't train their employees or agents... regularly ignore state and federal insurance compliance laws and are pathological liars.

Brian Fillweber, Suzanne Pearl and there staff/family regularly make promises to people they never intend to keep, dodge repeated calls from current and former associates and fail to pay their employees. They like to BS people on their state-of-the-art technology (not!), get good people to come in and be productive for a while, get paid for a bit and then pocket the rest of our commissions when we leave in frustration. Judging by the calls to their office, they are doing this nationwide with countless people.

They had a non-licensed person calling Medicare Advantage Plan enrollees and posing as Brian Fillweber (the agent of record) since he was the only agent licensed in all fifty states. Apparently he was too busy actually make the thirty second calls to confirm that the clients actually understood their new plans. These were people who had enrolled with call-center agents who were not licensed in the client's state.

Recently, Mr. Fillweber announced that no one would be getting paid because of his 'legal' bills from lawsuits he was facing. Another time, we all went eight weeks without getting paid, except the family/staff, of course. That eight week period was right before Christmas and most of the agents there have young children. Hopefully CMS and/or the Florida Department of Financial Services will investigate and shut them down soon before more people get lured in.

Safeway sick on the job!

I was just at Safeway located at Happy Canyon shopping center in Denver... The cross streets are Dahlia and Hampden avenue. The girl working the express checkout lane was so sick at work that it was unbelievable! There was a pile of about 5-8 tissues full of snot right next to the cash drawer! She was snivelling, coughing and sneezing all over the place as well as bagging groceries with peoples food without washing her hands. People were actually getting out of line behind me and going to longer lines at regular check out lanes just because of her actions. If you are THAT SICK then STAY HOME! I had to come home and wash all of my purchases with soap, and hot water. That is ###! The manager of the store was obviously aware of this conduct as well as he was standing right there. I REFUSE TO SHOP AT SAFEWAY after that ordeal. Get your ### together. I should call the health department!

Seriously, do not be mad that the girl came to work. It is not her fault. 100 to 1 chance is that she called in sick and was told she had to come in. I have worked at Safeway; this is what they do. They even told me to come in one time when I had strepp throat. If you're mad at anyone, be mad at the management that mistreat their employees.

That is too bad that they lost your business over that. You should give them one more chance, and it doesn't like you were fair to the manager or company. What I am meaning by that is you should have expressed this concern in way that would make that manager think about the situation in a different light. I am sure that the person checking you out in the line didn't want to be there, but probably was pressured by his/her manager to stay. All I am saying is that you should give them one more chance, and if you do happen to go back, be sure to speak with manager in charge and tell him/her what happened and how others felt, including what you felt when you saw the associate sick. I would think that the manager would want to hear if he is losing customers because of something that is very easily fixable.
