Safeway cinnamon bun poisoned with drain gunk

I pulled drain gunk from my mouth after eating a cinnamon roll prepared at carrs/safeway in Wasilla AK. I loved these rolls until now, now I am traumatized forever. I've cleaned enough drains to recognized the vial mass of hair meat and other rotting matter found in clogged drains. Whom ever prepared the cinnamon rolls could not have known whom their would be. To hurt anyone at random is terrorism.

Safeway bad attitude/customer service. manager never available.

I went store # 983. The cashier, Ciarra, was not at her post at 21:19. I saw Safeway staff gathered and talking together. A man was in front of me, waiting. Before long, Ciarra appeared and processed this man's purchases. No one was behind me. Ciarra was not real friendly. I was operating the keypad while she was firing off questions. After she made a mistake, and the keypad did something that had nothing to do with me, she cleared it and told me "Slide the card". I told her that please would go a long way in being helpful, as the direction to slide the card was given as a snappy command. Well, then things got worse. I told Ciarra to work on her courtesy since she had been rushing me and rude, no patience while I put the numbers in the card reader to process my transaction. Like she was rushing me without being nice about it.
I felt bad enough that I drove a ways and called the store number on the receipt to attempt to discuss my concerns with the store manager. A man answered the phone and I asked for the manager. He said he would see what he could do. A man named Shane took the call. Immediately I sensed his attitude was not helpful in his surly tone. I asked him if he was the manager. He replied " I am right now". I told him I wanted to speak to Randy Rainbow, who is indicated on my receipt as the store manager. I was told he was not there. Shane tried to get me to share my issue with him. I did not want to. I gave him my name and phone number to give to the store manager to have him call me. I gave no details of my issue. Shane once again tried to get me to share my complaint. I explained to him that his entire tone had put me off. He told me he didn't like my tone. I told him I was not happy because the staff was rude to me. I told him I was further disappointed because a manager is supposed to make the customer feel welcome and try to resolve the issue, the opposite of how he was approaching me. He apologized. I told him he was beginning to sound more like a manager after his apology. Then he hung up on me after he told me he was done with the call and didn't wish to continue.
Resolution desired would be to encounter a friendly staff at Safeway. I have had previous issues with the staff at this store. Rude and nasty. When I asked to speak to the manger, I was told he wasn't in. Once when I asked a very courteous and helpful employee if the manager was around, he explained to me that he had been working at the store for over two years and had never met the man. Randy Rainbow does not seem like the name I was given 3 years ago. I am guessing he is new to the job.

Safeway the store manager lied was dishonest

I went to Safeway in Prince Frederick to exchange six hair colors which were one shade too light. The manager (Assistant) Carrie Cianciolo told me she could not return them as I did not have a receipt. She knows for sure that all hair colors were marked down to 75% their original price and cleared out in all the Safeway stores. I asked if she could look up the items as I only have one credit card. She spoke with someone on the phone and then said that without the receipt, she do a "one time curtsy" and give me 50% off the listed price. I asked for her to exchange the items for the correct color. Apparently, she said they could not find that I shopped at Safeway before July and my name and phone number did not exist prior to that date.
I have been a customer for 16 years and yet I did not exist to that woman! I took the reduced money card, thanked her and proceeded to get some organic bottled milk. As I walked down the aisle, I could not believe that awful nasty woman lied to me about the hair colors being on clearance! The shelves were fully stocked with the hair colors! I just wanted the right shade of hair color which were there.
I went back to her and pointed out that the store still has the hair color and my shade of color. I reiterated that I did not want any money back. I just wanted the correct hair color which is one shade darker. She abruptly said she already gave me a curtsy and that is all she can do. She not only lied to me, she robbed me of half of what I paid for the hair colors!
I told her I was a customer for 16 years but I will not shop at Safeway again. She had this smug look and said "whatever". Is this how you treat your customers? My husband and I have served this community for 16 years and certainly do not routinely return items and thus do not save my receipts. I was appalled that just exchanging hair colors can lead to this conduct. I wonder, would she have treated me the same if I was not a Middle Eastern woman? It is a shame that Safeway has a policy of rude conduct and discrimination. Is this what customers can now expect from the Prince Frederick Safeway store with a manager such as Carrie Cianciolo?

Safeway damage on property caused me to fall and skin my knee pretty bad

I went to the Safeway located at 3627 Airport Way in Fairbank, AK 99709 on 9/4/17. As I was coming out of the store with bags in hand my foot caught a hole right outside the entrance doors which caused me to roll my ankle and fall down. I scraped my knee pretty bad (still have a scab) my husband approached the manager of the store and told him about it and he just kept trying to make excuses and pretty much gave a I don't care attitude. I then called [protected] 9/5/17 to explain what happened and what the manager's attitude was and he said he was typing up a complaint to the district manager as we were speaking and that it would get fixed promptly. I visited the store again on 9/17/17 and took pictures of the holes that are still not fixed (they did have cones in the vicinity of the holes but saw that it would still be possible to fall into one. I am just concerned that someone is going to get seriously injured.

Safeway salmon

Hello, I purchased salmon from the Safeway located on 397 40th street NE! Washington, D.C. 20019 last week! This Safeway is my usual grocery due to the numerous complaints I've heard; it's very close to my place so it's very convienent for me! I decided to make the salmon today 9/16 and it was completed disgusting! There was black molded pieces on it and it smelled very fishy! I'm unsure of what was wrong with it but I can only imagine what could've happened to me if I would've consumed it!

Safeway night cashier rudeness

Description

I was shopping at my local Safeway late last night (approx 2:00 am). This Safeway location is Yulupa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95405. I live less than a block away and have shopped there since 2001.

I walked in and had a short, friendly chat with one of the clerks. I grabbed my item and proceeded to the checkout line.

There appeared to be some issue with the register. As I approached, a large bearded male employee angrily barked at me "the register is closed for 20 minutes, I already made two announcements". I had just come in and hadn't heard any announcements . I am always friendly to the staff and I appreciate their usual great service.

I want the employee chastised for treating me so poorly. I will no longer shop there until this matter is investigated and the result is shared with me.

Safeway sirloin petite steak

I purchased Sirloin Petite Steak from your meat section at Seattle store near the University of Washington campus (4732 Brooklyn Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105) yesterday 09/13/2017. The meat was putrid and off with a strong decomposing smell. I had no choice but to throw the product away. I would like a refund of 8.75 + tax at minimum.

Safeway unethical behaviour

I can not recall the exact date but it was last week. I was walking in a park located right behind the Safeway and witnessed two employees smoking marijuana. I didn't think nothing of it until I saw them both in the Deli. I was able to make out both of their name tags. One said Greg the other said Patrick. I did notify the store about the incident and nothing was done about it. I am not sure why nothing was done as I wasn't told anything. All I know is that both gentlemen still work there. They need to be given a UA to determine if they are actually under the influence of any substance. I did some asking around and was told that Safeway uses the swab method to do a drug test. These tests are the easiest to pass. They need to be held accountable. I am deeply upset that Safeway allows their employees to be under the influence of any substance. Please look into this.

Safeway out of things on the weekend

Sunday, 9/10/2017, Vallejo, CA-went shopping for the week. very frustrated at the amount of out-of-stock items. Don't shelves get filled night b4? Isnt' weekend busiest time? Out of the following items:
-Lucerne 1% milk
-18ct. eggs on special
-Joy hummus
-Uncle Sams cereal
-Graniac bread
-pitiful zucchini
-little caesar chicken & liver flavor
-safeway brand of large bag of frozen peas

Safeway store closed early.

Tonight at 10:29 pm I went to my local safeway in Clatskanie Oregon to get some things I needed but the doors were locked and had apparently closed early for the night since they are suppose to remain open until late 11:00 pm. And this isn't the first time they close early all the time which is very frustrating as a customer who works nights. If you are not going to close at 1030pm that's fine but please change the hours so that people know and can plan accordingly.

Safeway boar's head london broil roast beef

Friends,

I've been a Safeway fan for many years. [protected]

I had a terrible experience, assuming I was buying Primo Taglio

roast beef ($16.99 lb) only to get home and learn you no longer

carry Primo Taglio.

The Boars Head London Broil roast beef is insulting.

It has a mushy texture and leaves a lasting chemical flavor,

when eaten alone. My description of a terrible experience.

Does anyone, in Management, actually taste the products when you switch vendors? Why would you substitute a chemical based roast beef product for a wonderful roast beef, if not for money?

I understand that, it is money that drives your decisions, but

the Primo Taglio roast beef is the best, especially at $17 lb.

I'm finished whining!

Safeway safeway brand cheese cake

Hi there I bought a cheesecake tonight and when I bit into it there was a piece of glass inside and it cut the top of my tooth. I'm just happy that I bit into that and not some child who could have swallowed it. Very dangerous on your part Safeway, not impressed. I do not understand how a piece of glass could find it's way into your cheesecake. Maybe you should take some extra safety precautions.

Safeway produce

For over a year I have been filing complaints regarding the Produce Department about Safeway on Mead in Yakima, Washington.

I have found the berries infested with mold. I took them to the store manager, he took them from me and walked away. I walked around the store for 30 minutes to see if they would clear the berries. Nope. He did nothing.

Since then I have posted pictures of disgusting produce that has set on the organic food shelves for weeks without being changed. I have left messages for the store manager and have not heard from him. I now have started posting it on social media and every forum I can to get it to stop.

Its disgusting. I only go there to take pictures, I wont buy anything from there. I cannot even imagine what they do with the meat. Don't shop there. I plan on contacting the health department next.

Safeway harassing employees towards customer

There is a current employee of Cle Elum Safeway who has a bad track record with harassment and is currently harassing me because of her issues with my boyfriend and his ex who is also one of my friends. Just because of the issues she has with them gives her no right to harass me especially being that she has no idea who I am I has never even met me in person before. Yet she continues to harass my boyfriend and his ex through me as well as through other people.

Safeway pastry case

On September 5th, 2017, at 6;30 a.m., I went to purchase pastries from the pastry case. I observed at least a half dozen flies in the case. I asked the clerk if she knew there were flies inside the case. She replied that she was aware of it, and walked away. I approached another lady who apparently a manager and explained what I had noticed. She replied that flies fly in there. Safeway complain

Today at 7:50 PM I approached the deli department counter and asked the staff for half pound of Genoa Salami.
The staff replied to me that he was "closed"
I asked him what time you close since the supermarket still open?
He replied to me " I close at 8:00 PM but right now I'm cleaning the
machines"
I asked him again, "what I want is only half pound of Genoa salami"
Them he start to get rude and replied "
I already told you I'm closed.
I left and went to talk to the manager in duty.
The Manager told me that he is the assistant manager, he apologize to
me and went to talk to the staff.
The guy replied to him the same answer he gave to me
The manager insisted with him without success .
The answer was no.
The manager told me that tomorrow he will complain with the general manager and he asked me to come back in the morning
I told him that is ridiculous to come back tomorrow if I can get the salami now
The manager replied that there is nothing he can do and will report the incident to the general manager.

We are customers from that Safeway since 1984 and I never ever faced an embarrassing situation like that.
I'm considering to fill out a complaint through Fairfax County Business Bureau.

To be fair with your company I will give you until Tuesday noon to make an official apologies and to let me know what will happen to this unprofessional staff

Safeway racial discrimination and abuse

As I exited the Safeway restroom, I was approached by two intoxicated east Indian females who started to abusively accuse me of the filth left in the restroom. I politely let them know the toilet was in disrepair before I used it. One intoxicated female proceeded to order me to clean the toilet ...as I realized they weren't joking, I asked them to behave and maybe watch the vodka. They continued to order me to find them help, which I found very rude and bizarre that they would treat a stranger this way...as I decided to walk away, the security guard who is also east Indian walked by...the intoxicated female loudly told the guard that I had soiled the bathroom, I might add the feces was dried and visibly had been smeared for quite some time...at this point I felt under attack. I assured the guard the drunk girls were verbally abusing me. As I asked for the manager he appeared from the swing doors directly behind us, he is also east Indian, another east Indian employee also joined the scene. They all refused to address the intoxicated females, and tried to shift some blame to me. One of the girls began to step right into my personal bubble and wave her arm, she felt safe to escalate, being that she felt protected on racial terms by the rest of the group. I was very shocked at how neglectful, and unwilling they all were, to say even one instructive word to the two girls, they all laughed at me, and took turns shooting sharp comments at me as the girls laughed on. I strongly believe that I was abused and neglected, on racial grounds, and the staff present, failed utterly at providing professional assistance. Please respond ASAP as this has been a traumatic experience at my lifelong neighborhood Safeway. Sean.

Safeway deli

My husband went to Safeway in green valley at 2pm to order chicken and wedges from the deli and the guy wrote the order on a napkin. We went to pick up the order 6:45 pm and the chicken was ready but the wedges was never cooked. She said she seen it on the napkin but didn't cook them. We couldn't wait for them to cook as we had people at our house for a bday party. When we got home the chicken was very very greasy and soggy. I called the 877 number and sent my complaint and ask for the manager to call me back and it's been 2 days and still haven't got a call back. You would think being the only grocery store in the area that their service would be good. I rather drive 10 mins to another Safeway to get better service.

Safeway starbucks

On 16th and Southern the Starbucks service was horrible today. they open up at 6:00am and i waited there for 15-mins and no one came, even after asking an employee to call for someone to come, no one ever came. I've been going to this Safeway/Starbucks for 2 years now and never had a problem in the morning. Now that there are new employees this is the second time something happens, now i had no coffee this morning to start my day off good.

Safeway petaluma safeway thumbs down

Today at the Safeway store In Petaluma, Ca on McDowell... I was completely embarrassed and fed up. I Shop at Safeway just about every other day but tonight made me rethink about if this store/company deserves my patronage.
This store has been re-configuring their isles..I was walking by as a woman suggested to this employee (tall dirty blonde curly hair wearing glasses pushing a gray cart-looked like he was re-labeling shelves or something) that they put maps at the door for people to find things. The employee replied " you should know where everything is!" *my mouth dropped open * the lady said " didn't you change things this week?" To which the employee replied, " you'll learn better if you go look for it" I am livid and walk away without saying anything to this guy. When I got to the register I asked the cashier to call the manager so she asked for a manager over the loud speaker. The manager called her on her phone and after she told her a customer asked to speak with her, she said she wasn't coming. The cashier told me to tell the next cashier over who she said was the best she coukd do..so I told him.
I am truly sick and tired of the rude grumpy pepole that this store employs! I dread going to this store! Get it together safeway, you aren't the only grocery store in town. If your employees keep treating your customers the way they do, you may not have a store to employ.
