Safeway management refusing service animals

We are on kodiak island with no other choice but to shop safeway and the manager Michael Murray refused the psychiatric service dog and the woman I was accompanying saying her service dog was not allowed he did not need to see paperwork the dog was simply not allowed and he would talk to her "offline" which we took as after he got off work he would call her personally

Safeway gift card stolen digitally before used, and not compensated!

I feel as though Safeway stole $50 from me, and I won't shop there anymore. Last July, (2018) I bought a Safeway gift card for my daughter. She tried using it a day or two later, to find that it had $0 on it! I took the card with the receipt for its purchase back to the Safeway customer service desk. The clerk gave me a phone number to call, which I did, to report it. The employee on the phone got all of my info to reimburse me for the stolen card. Apparently, the thief had spent about $5 at the Lake Stevens store, and then went to the Everett Safeway, and spent the rest there! My daughter lives about 45 minutes+ east of there, and does not shop in Everett. The money was never reimbursed to me, and I do not trust Safeway.

On Monday Dec. 3, 2018 approximately 5:30 we drove to safeway at 4215 Chestshire Station Plaza in Woodbridge, Va to use the western union. Sign says open from 10-7pm. Husband was told that it was down. I asked another employee and was told it was closed at 5:30 because the manager that can open it was gone. Which is a totally different from what Donald told...

Safeway pharmacy

I called in a prescription on the 14th of November, it said I could pick it up after 5pm. I waited 2 days, until the 16th of November and went in and was told that they didn't have the drug available, they sent me home with a 30 day supply out of a 3 month order. I told them to call me when it came in.

They called on the 28th of November to inform me that it was in. I went today, the 3rd of December and was informed that it had been filled back because it was over 10 days old.
I showed them the bottle from the and the date it was filled, and that this wasn't even 7 days since they called.

Of the 5 people in line when I go there none of us got our prescriptions. I was told I had to wait 45 minutes, one wass told it would take 10 minutes, another 15 minutes. The only person I saw get her presription was a lady who had just turned it in! This has happened the last 3 times I've been in, I get a phone call that its ready and when I go in, usually within 3 days, it still hasn't been filled. This has only been the last 6 mos or so, I don't know whats going on but they told one of the people in line that they were 160 prescriptions behind, which is totally unexectable! I know they used to have two pharmacists on, but I'm not sure if they still do, however they should because obviously this one can handle it alone.

Safeway 40th and donald eugene, or safeway pharmacy

Hello.

I have used the Safeway pharmacy once before and have had the same issue before. However, since such an incident happened over one year ago, I decided to give this Safeway pharmacy another chance.

The issue is that I have ordered for my prescriptions to be refilled at this pharmacy and this is the second time a time sensitive prescription has not been available when I have needed it to be.

It has been noticeable to me that the pharmacy staff doesn't show any desire to resolve the problems with their customers, stared blankly at me when I was frustrated and didn't help me to find a solution I needed.

In regards to this reoccurring problem, I have taken my refills to rite aid and will no longer be spending a single American dollar within Safeway corporate stores.

To whom it may concern, customers always come first and to make them feel disregarded and uncared for, is a problem.

On Sunday Dec 2, I was at the Safeway in Calgary 33 Castle Ridge Blvd NE. While I was shopping in the bakery I found the bakery staff to be rude and obscene as they commented to each other about my appearance. I was not rude or even asked them for anything. If this is the caliber of staff that Safeway employs it is a poor reflection of Safeway's costumer...

Safeway customer service from a cashier

There was a man in front of the cashiers in the store who walked back and forth with his pants pulled down to his knees.This was very disgusting and gross.The man did this for along time.I complained to a cashier and said please stop this.The cashier said no and just laughed.She refused to help me.Because of this I will not shop at safeway anymore.Really bad customer service.People who do this while working should be fired.

Safeway employees poor service and pointed sarcasm

I shopped Kenmore store I checked out at 2:13 pm 11/ 21/ 2018 at self check. I was having issues with the scanner. The cashier manning the isle must have seen that as she shouted across at me to keep going. Eventually I went over to ask for assistance as 3 chickens instead of 2 got scanned. She went to help someone else. When Came back still no help. I ask again Explained it scanned 3 instead of 2 chickens. Her response "You mean "YOU" scanned in three chickens". Surprised in my defense I said whatever, me, it, them. While leaving she gave me a sarcastic, "Have a happy Thanksgiving" Instead of your store that is 3 blocks away I will drive the extra 3 miles to QFC if I have to put up with this type of attitude. I hope this might be brought to the cashiers attention. Middle aged frosted blond hair in a ponytail. Her employee badge was hidden by her scarf.

Safeway customer service and other

Approximately a month ago I was shopping at Safeway in Apache junction az.store 253 *I think I was getting some meat sliced at the deli when I overheard the deli manager and a co-worker Dave Price talking about my wife who was also a worker in the deli Dave Price made the statement that my wife is either retarded or has a severe case of ADHD they did not realize I was her husband that they were slicing meat for so I told my wife my wife went to management and made it complaint what was done about it was nothing later that same evening Dave Price came up to my wife what came up behind my wife while she was alone in the deli put his arm around her and tried to start telling her to tell me not to be mad my wife tried to pull away he had snatched her back and held her tighter so she could not move and forced her to listen to what he was saying so my wife then filed a complaint with management and this is the outcome of it which I would be more than happy to explain to you and detail because it to me and everybody I know it is just unbelievable the final outcome of this is that my wife transferred to another store because it was too hostile for her to stay in that store a nothing was done to the store manager nor to the guy who physically put his hands on my wife the store manager and a human resources department totally took Dave prices word that what he did was meant to be friendly my wife was scared to death she still scared to death of him and they did absolutely nothing they didn't even take him away from the store while they were doing their so-called investigation their so-called investigation did not even include an interview with my wife nor did they contact me about what I heard them say I'd like to believe that this is not Safeways stance on unwanted touching in the workplace throughout the the last month while all this was going on and my wife was being harassed she was lied to buy Jonathan the store manager when she went and ask what was happening with her complaint he told her you may never hear nothing he had a meeting at one time and gave her an ultimatum to leave the department. The final outcome is that my wife now has to drive or I have to take her about 9 miles to work where she only had to drive one mile she was getting on average 33 to 36 hours a week this week she has 16 hours on the schedule and this all happened to her because she filed a complaint now I'm not real big on getting lawyers involved and lawsuits and all that but I got to believe that there is someone in Safeway who's willing to make this right by my wife one of the things that happened is my wife filed a complaint about them cutting her hours and giving them to Dave Price and this is what happened there the corporate Human Resources lady here had my wife on the phone and told her that they rehired a girl named Lorraine and what they were doing as they speak was reinstating her seniority so my wife didn't have a complaint that has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of do you all really condone doing something like that to solve a complaint I hope please call me at [protected] I really want to hear from you all and we'll gladly go into all the detail you would like to hear thank you Stephen Brockman

Safeway customer service

My daughter went to the store with her 24 year old sister. Her sister bought a number of items including alcohol. The clerk refused to sell the alcohol because he believed the elder sister would provide alcohol to the younger. Not only is this beyond a wrong assumption but he asked my 13 year old daughter for her ID. She is tall she wears joggers and sweatshirts... she was harmed by the accusation of being older and my eldest was harmed that the assumption was she would buy alcohol for her baby sister.

Safeway gas bar

I'm a regular customer I usually fuel up at night but yesterday I went during the day if I have my son with me I let him help . He went into pay and the old hippie lady asked him why I was so lazy as to make him do it. He had trouble with the pump and she cane out saying if I would have gotten off my [censored] and pumped my own gas and not my kid who doesn't even drive I wouldn't be holding up the line. We were the only ones there. I'm definitely not going back to that gas bar that old lady with the nose ring Kerry or kandy ( fluffy white hair ) is rude and I'll pay extra somewhere else where I'll be treated like a person

Safeway boston market frozen turkey breast medallions

Purchased this TV dinner on November 16.
This had to be the worst frozen dinner I ever tried to at. It looks nothing like the
illustration on the package. Just scraps or trimmings of turkey meat and some
ancient green beans...so stringy I could not eat them. The whole was covered with
sloppy wet mashed potatoes...very unappetizing. The price was three dollars.

Safeway western union service in safeway

To who my concern,
I received money through western union and I tried to pick it up in Ride aid store located in 20572 homestead rd Cupertino ca 95014 on Saturday 11/17/18. I called western union and got my PIN number. I gave my PIN number to cashier and she said she doesn't have enough cash to gave me the money. She guided me to come to safeway next store 20620 W homestead rd Cupertino ca 95014 .
When I went to safeway above address, an old guy who always works for western union money transaction, without paying attention to my PIN number pulled up the 10 digit control code and he said, I already got the money and he can not give me the money. I was so upset since he was so rude and accusing me that I already got the money and didn't pay attention to what I said to him. This is not the first time that I faced this situation. Every time when I go there to pick up money he either say he doesn't have the money or he bring another excuse. He is always the same person, with no name tag who works in western union service in safeway. I said I like to speak with your manager, even the manager was very unprofessional and mean and didn't help me and at the end they laugh at me. Finally I had to leave and go back to the same Ride aid store that I was there pereviosly, telling them what happen to me, and this time they help me with the transaction.
If clients receive such a trrible service every time from safeway in this location, no one like to use western union service anymore for transferring money.
I would like to hear from you that how you proceed my complaint . If I don't hear anything I have to ask my lawyer to file a motion about this humiliation and discrimination.

Safeway pharmacy

After spending more than 7 hrs in the ER for extreme HBP, I was treated for alcohol withdrawal on 11/12/18, I was given a prescription of chlordiazepoxide to begin the following day. I arrived at the pharmacy and was told it had to be ordered and would not arrive until after 6 pm the following day (11/14/18). I went shopping early in the day and asked the pharmacy if they could call me when it arrived. They proceeded to tell me the order never went through and now won't arrive until Thursday. However they offered me the last 8 pills they had on hand. My question is this... why were those 8 pills not offered in the beginning? Would have got me started on my sobriety! And gotten me through until the order came in. Not to mention my HBP and not drinking.

Safeway Pharmacy

I have been doing business with Kmart getting my prescriptions filled for many years Kmart close down Safeway had a sign that said all Kmart Customer welcome to use Safeway pharmacy Safeway was about a quarter-mile away from the Kmart that I used in Crofton so I went into the Safeway to fill my monthly prescriptions about 8 months ago the young lady that came to the counter was very nice very courteous very polite fill my prescriptions absolutely had no problem wonderful experience fast forward to last month a new pharmacist he has the actual pharmacist not the helper he has a Nigerian accent the Safeway in Crofton the gentleman said after filling my prescriptions he said I just want to let you know that I'll do it this time but next time you come here your prescription needs to be wrote From Pain Management play frankly I was very confused this is a pharmacist someone with no PhD telling me to tell my doctor what to do right so my next appointment which was the first of November I told my doctor my doctors exact words were first off I never had a pharmacist try to tell me how to treat any one of my patients he said second off if anyone had a problem with the way I wrote my prescriptions I would be flagged and he said third off of your past your medical history and what all you have been through so I don't know how he would make a judgement on what you need so I went to Safeway to fill my prescription he looked at my prescriptions and he looked at the doctor's name and he said oh no I told you last month I will not feel this doctor's prescription this needs to be pain management this medication is well out of this doctor's scope I said sir first off I told my doctor what you said I just had the appointment 30 minutes before arriving Here at Safeway I said in order for me to get into pain management I can't get an appointment until December 12th which pain management is going to charge me $450 is just for the first appointment my doctor only charges me 80 and Pain Management also wants a fresh MRI which is going to cost me $1, 000 so I don't understand is my doctor patience that he writes this kind of medication for and he has received several medical awards for his practice and his Awareness on the epidemic that is playing this country and the pharmacist replied doesn't matter I told you last month just needed to be pain management it's not so I will not fill your prescription I looked at him and said so you're going to turn me down for my medicine and make me have to go to some other Pharmacy that I have not been that does not have my records all because you somehow or making a judgement call in your mind that my doctor should not be writing me this medicine even though you're the pharmacist not the doctor he said yes with a smirk on his face I asked him for his Pharmacy number and the corporate number and he gave me a refrigerator magnet and some corporate number this man absolutely disrespected me worse than I've ever been disrespected by anyone in a customer service world I am 40 years old he has no idea what I've been going through with my medical history and for him to make a judgement call to sit there and say all this stuff like I was somehow doing something wrong like he was implying that somehow I was an addict because I was trying to get my prescriptions filled I was absolutely disrespected by this man I never had any problem with any other pharmacist there they fill my medication for the eight months I've been going there no problem now this guy wants to come in and play doctor from behind the prescription counter it was absolutely unjust embarrassing I cannot believe he did that and then I told him so if your hand is so strong saying my doctor should not be doing this how come this state that I had insurance through for 12 months how come they paid for the medication to get filled with in the state of Maryland said wait a minute this doctor should not be writing this medicine it seems like the state of Maryland would know more about that than you he completely disrespected me so finally after going to about 5 other pharmacies because they didn't have the medication Giant finally had it and they filled it and actually filled it for $74 less then what it would have cost me at Safeway to fill the same three prescriptions and they said absolutely nothing about what my doctor should write a prescription for or would he shouldn't I will never ever go to that Safeway again I am beyond livid I have been disrespected by someone who knows nothing about me my medical history or my doctor and to have to sit there while I'm in pain waiting on it back surgery and this man to tell me that my doctor is somehow doing something wrong was absolutely ridiculous I don't want anyone to have to go through losing a job or getting in trouble but what this man did was completely completely unnecessary and ridiculous the worst experience I've ever had one unsatisfied customer orex Safeway pharmacy

This morning November 3, 2018 I went to the Safeway pharmacy at Redland bulvard rockville md 20850 store 1715 to get a flu shot.
At 9 am I was filling a form to get a flu shot and the person that supposed to give me a flu shot was very rude and unfriendly. She told me that I have to wait a 35 minutes that I agreed to wait, after waiting 40 minutes in a waiting room I asked how long it will be and she without looking at me told that go back and just wait! I was upset and humiliated by the pharmacy staff member and she ruined my Saturday morning and I didn't get my flu shot!

Safeway organic eggs

Hi,
I purchased a dozen organic eggs as Safeway 3970 Rivermark Plaza, Santa Clara, CA 95054 on 29th Oct . The brand name was Judy's family farm. (quantity - 1 dozen).
When I reached home, I realized that the expiry date on the eggs was actually Oct 28. Doesnt Safeway have a process to remove expired items out of their shelves?

I had purchased when I was traveling to Santa Clara. I live 15 miles from the place where I bought it. So it was not feasible for me to take it back to the shop for a refund.
Luckily we did not use the eggs as my wife checked the expiry date before cooking.

Request a refund. Attched photos and receipt.

Safeway management

As a customer with my 10 year old son, I witnessed and felt intimidated by a Safeway manager (Edwardo) who shouted across the deli and isle to an employee that was helping me. In a dominating and aggressive manner, Edoardo crosses his arms and thrust out his chest when he shouted "what, we make customers get their own bread bowls now." A near by employee shushed him in reaction to his outburst. The manager maintained his dominating body language and stared at the deli employees until my transaction was finished. I have never seen a manager belittle an employee by bullying them In front of customers. His behavior was nefarious enough to warrant termination and legal ramifications by the female employee he was harassing. We teach our children to not bully. Clearly, Safeway management needs the same lesson. Bullying employees is intolerable—especially in front of customers!

Safeway exchanging of propane tank

Aloha,

I often exchange propane tanks for my side business as a cook. I go to several stores for exchanging of propane tanks (Walmart, Home Depot & Safeway) And normally I will go at a decent time but sometimes I cannot get to the store at a decent time to exchange a tank. I rely on Safeway as the semi-last resort since the store is open 24hrs. There have been times when I almost couldn't exchange the tank because a cashier didn't know where the key to unlock the propane was but somehow we found someone. Tonight though, I am super upset because the manager was leaving or going on break at about 2am or so and said he couldn't exchange the tank for me because he locked up the key for the propane tanks in the safe and he doesn't have the combination for the safe. I asked him if he could call someone to get the combination but he said "no and they would t give me the combo over the phone" yet I don't see why not since the safe was open for him to put the propane key in it! I'm extremely disappointed that this store is open 24 hrs yet can not accommodate, me, the customer with the exchange of propane tanks. There should be a sign stating that propane is available til a certain time if this is how you do business with the propane tanks. I believe I've been told in the past that only certain people are trained or allowed to handle the propane tanks. If that's the case, maybe it might be in your best interest and mine to train more people in this area. Mahalo for your time and I hope for the future, propane will be available around the clock.

Safeway rude cashier/assistant manager

October 19, 2018, receipt shows 10:37 am, Rose Hill Rd Safeway in Alexandria:

Cashier/Assistant Manager by name Keisha (may be misspelled) was very rude person. When I friendly reached out with my hand to grab a gallon of milk that she wanted to bag together with a big juice bottle, she did a very quick and rude hand gesture that was saying to me :"Get out of my way". I was shocked and first I thought that I may have touched her hand, but it happened so fast that I was not sure if I touched her or the bag. Anyway, I apologized to her saying in calm voice : "I am sorry if I touched you in inappropriate way...", just to be on the safe side . I really don't remember what she said, she may have said: "OK", or whatever, (I was in shock...) but even after that, I started to feel so bad, so low, because my feelings were hurt, because I didn't think I deserved her attitude and hand gesture and all I could tell at the and to her was, in a low tone: "By the way, that was very rude from you...". That is when she started to be even more rude. I was expecting for her to apologize, and she was actually even more arrogant and disrespectful. Her body language, her voice, saying that I can go ahead and complain, that they have security cameras to check, and she didn't allow me to finish any of my sentences. She was constantly talking and interrupting me. I looked around and there was Loretta, cashier that I know for many years. She was bagging some items behind cashier stand next to mine and she was just looking down. I thought that she was embarrassed by what she was witnessing, but later on I realized that Keisha was current store assistant manager, so that was probably an extra reason why Loretta couldn't even say anything, either to calm me or Keisha. Regardless of who is wrong or right, someone should have reacted from the store side. I didn't want to make even bigger scene and I left, thinking that Loretta would report the incident to whoever was in charge, but if I knew that Keisha was assistant manager, trust me, I would stay and complain more.

I feel so bad and so low. That Safeway is my home store for over 16 years and all people were always so nice and friendly. Keisha is a totally new person to that store, I never saw her before, but if this is how the assistant managers and employees are trained, how to bag gallon of milk..., and how to show kind and warm customer service, she is far, far away from properly trained person.

I called yesterday, October 28th at 9:58 am Safeway Customer Service, spoke to Diane and she recorded my complaint. She was very nice and understanding, regardless of what she thought who was right.

After that, person by name Mrs. Johnson (I hope I didn't remember her name wrongly), called me from number [protected] and started to explain to me that she spoke to both Keisha and Loretta, that Loretta said that Keisha was not yelling (yelling/raised voice can be interpreted in many ways...) and that Keisha showed that she was OK with me apologizing to her, ...after which I should be OK...(!). I tried to explain to Mrs. Johnson that I actually didn't feel OK at all and that is why I told Keisha that she was rude, but I saw where the conversation between me and Customer Rep Mrs. Johnson was going. Even she started to behave like Keisha and didn't allow me to finish my sentences after which I didn't allow to her, too, and I didn't like how that whole conversation sounded like. My impression was that she was defending her employees and there was no place for me in that conversation. I finished the conversation with something like: "I don't want to talk to you any longer. Have a nice day" and I hanged up.
I still feel so bad and low and I hope that both Keisha and Loretta learned something from this case. I learned for sure and one of the things is that I should have recorded all of it with my phone and to have better evidence...

I hope that someone can watch the store security camera recording for that day and see from the tape the improper behavior and body language that I am talking about...I wish you could have the sound, as well.

Thank you in advance for reading my whole complaint. You may think whatever you want about me, but if you can at least record that one person complained about Keisha, it may raise a red flag if another customer complains, too. If nobody ever complains about her, than I will be so happy to know that she is finally doing her job properly or that she is not coming in situation where her unprofessional attitude and personality is coming out...
