Ruth's Chris Steak House food service at savannah location (downtown)

I attended the location on Bay Street in downtown Savannah last weekend on 30 Dec 2017, myself and my wife Keshia Jacobs, my wife made the reservation online, the service at the restaurant was pretty good I must say my only complaint was the dinner itself we ordered the stuff mushroom appetizer and I ordered the steak and lobster tails special, the appetizer seemed as if it was poorly made and presented and my steak was supposed to be medium well but was way over cooked (extremely dry and well done), we did not want to complain inside the restaurant but I would like to voice my opinion, we have visited many Ruth Chris locations previously and we are quite familiar with the great service just didn't feel like the same experience this time around. Thank you

Ruth's Chris Steak House substandard customer service

I dined at your establishment on 25 Nov 2017 in New York City at approximately 8:30-10:30 pm. My server's name was Frank and the manager's name was Alex Gonzalez, whom I spoke to that evening. However, we did not experience the "Ruth Chris Experience" that evening. It started off by us greeting the waiter (Frank) and asked how he was doing, his reply "I'm having a bad night." Next we had several dirty dishes and glasses on the table and our waiter Frank informed us that he and his busboy were not on the same page that night, and there was obvious friction between the two. So my brother-in-law ordered a Martini and it did not taste right so he sent it back and it was replaced with another one that did not taste right. When we informed the waiter he told us that he "watched" the bartender make the drink. Next, we ordered our meal and it took about 30 min for the salads to make it to the table, no problem except the main entrees were 5 minutes behind the salads, so we had to rush and swallow our salad while the waiters held our steaks in their hands. The potatoes au gratin were cold, however the steaks and the chicken were excellent. Also, that period in between bread and salad where the busboys come and clear the crumbs off the table didn't happen. So after we left we called the restaurant and spoke to your manager and told him everything that I'm telling you. After spending $350 on a meal and leaving $75 tip, you sort of expect more. I've dined at your restaurants across the United States and I've never had this type of service at a Ruth Chris. The manager said that he would send a gift card but that was over 4+ weeks ago. I informed him that I wanted him to know that we did not have a Ruth Chris type of night. Thank you for your time.

I am not very happy with this ruth chris steak house as I am writing this survey, on thanksgiving day I went to eat at ruth chris and I had a issues where I made my reservation for 7:30 pm and somehow they confuse my time and I had to wait an hour to eat, where the manager took care of us and he was very professional, after I was done with my thanksgiving dinner I asked him to make me a reservation for december 24 at 7:30 pm and he came to my table and confirmed me that my reservation was done, well yesturday I went to ruth christ and loreta was at the counter I gave her my name and she told me that she could not find me at all, by the way very rude shame on you loreta, she just acted like she didnt care at all if we didnt eat or not or the circumstances of the issue, just told me that she could not find my reservations for 12/24/2017 at 7:30 pm, I ask her to please call the manager that was on duty thanksgiving night and ask him because he confirmed my reservation for the december 24, she told me no that she would call the manager that was there, where he just didn't give a crap either, put me on a table near the bar where I didn't get what I planned not even an apology from them, I will never again return to this place, this is not the first time is twice that happened to me and my cousin I fell like I have been discriminated for the second time. Never again.

Ruth's Chris Steak House food standard: tulsa, ok

TULSA, OK - RIVER SPIRIT CASINO

Our party of 6 visited Ruth's Chris on 11/25/17 at 7:30 to celebrate a birthday and a fabulous night out with NO young children! We arrived on time and were promptly seated by the hostess who mentioned that we had a birthday celebration in our party. The dining room was not busy for a Saturday night, which was surprising because we had tried to make reservations on-line, only to see that no tables were available for any of the times we selected. (We ended up calling the restaurant directly and made a reservation with out any problem.)
We ordered cocktails and placed our order. Our waiter was attentive and answered all of our questions. Everyone ordered the wedge salad and all of us had to request extra dressing. The main course arrived and he asked if we needed anything else. He didn't ask us to cut into our steaks to see if they were cooked to our liking as I have experienced at other high-end steak restaurants. The sides we ordered: mashed potatoes - bland and dry, mushrooms - ok..., and asparagus - over cooked and very thin. I pointed out the asparagus to our waiter and he replied, "Yes, they do look a little over done. Ill get that taken care of".
One of us had ordered the filet cooked medium rare. When it arrived it honestly looked like a poached salisbury steak - absolutely NO sear. We all encouraged him to point this out to our waiter, but he didn't want to wait while we all were eating, and we would have felt rude eating while he waited. We were all a bit disappointed in the appearance (not as thick as expected) and the flavor of our steaks. It was defiantly NOT up to the standard of what I thought a Ruth's Chris steak should be.
Overall our experience was dissatisfactory. The food was not up to par and the birthday wasn't celebrated - far from the special evening we expected. We left feeling we had spent a lot of money for an average meal that we could have anywhere. The next opportunity we have to go out for an amazing steak, we will consider other options before returning.

Ruth's Chris Steak House customer service

I came to rhe downtown chicago location today to eat diiner at five upon emtering the front deak clerk told me that i coulnu enter because i had on a pair of love pink socks which i had on inside a paor of ugg boots then she said thY my leggi gs were athlete type so i couldnt eat there .but the xlerk herself had on a pair of pant that were so tight and too little she was may e a size 16 and her pants were a size 10 she was dress terrible to represent that steak house .i felt totally ashame brcause i waz dressef for the whether it was snowwing outside. The have become so racist at ruth chris its u real

Ruth's Chris Steak House service

I made reservations for Friday 10/27 At the location in Wilkes Barre pa. I made a special notation that we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and my husband's 44th birthday. We arrived 10 minutes early. We gave them our name and requested that if there were 2 bar seats available we would prefer to sit there. They checked and there was 2 seats. We had our appetizer and dinner. The food and service from our waiter was great but unfortunately the reason why we were they was overlooked. I was disappointed as it was a very special occasion for us. We visit this location frequently every 2 months or so. There should have been communication between the hostess and the waiter. I would appreciate if this is mentioned to the staff to prevent it from happening to other customers.

Ruth's Chris Steak House accident

Hello, I was recently dining at RC and server told me the plate was hot but I accidentally touched it and burned my fingers so badly to the point I almost fainted from the pain. And two hours later I had very painful blisters in the area of my two fingers that burned. Staff assisted me with ice and burn cream. However I believe that the plates should NOT be that incredibly hot. What if a child or a person with a disability touched it? It really ruined my dinner as I was in pain the rest of the evening.

Ruth's Chris Steak House quality of steak

We came in on September 29, 2017 to celebrate our Anniversary. We ordered a T-bone cooked Medium-Well. The steak was in-fact cooked as requested, however, the meat tasted like something from Western Sizzlin' with the terrible off-flavor. A short time later we ate at Logan's Steak House and had a 6 oz sirloin with a delightful flavor.
There is just no excuse for the price paid for the "Steak Alone" that it would taste like it did.
I've dined at Ruth's Chris twice before. One of those times the steak was wonderful. The last time was about like this. I thought it was just a fluke. But apparently not.
It is my opinion that you can't fix something that you don't know about. So I'm sharing this with you.

Ruth's Chris Steak House reservations

I called to make a reservation at the Myrtle Beach Ruth's Chris for 14 people. The lady told me I had to go thru sales and gave me an email address for Sean Fallan. He told me I could have the board room for $125 and a food and beverage minimum of $1250 and one check. I told him were just a group of friends getting together for dinner and wanted separate checks could he make it work.
He then said he could put us in the main dining room and split 3 checks or cash.
I told him we wanted just to have separate checks so could he split us into 2 tables of 7 near each other.
He said I am sorry but we do not do separate checks.
This is one of my favorite restaurants and so disappointed he would not work with us on this.
I called and made reservations at 2 other restaurants high end after this for 14 people and they had no problem with separate checks and we have a special dining area.
I can not believe Ruth's Chris would turn down 14 paying customers because we wanted separate checks.

Ruth's Chris Steak House service and food

I was dining at the ruth chris nashville location last week when I had less than exceptional experience... Ive dined with your company several times prior and have always had a outstanding experience... However, this time not only did thet not honor out reservation (Had to wait 45 min for table) the server was very inattentive and borderline rude at times.. Also, the food took ectremely long to arrive at our table and some items were cold... I have dined at this locafuon before and have never had a bad experience.. Maybe this was isolated incidence but for the money you pay I felt somewhat cheated.

Ruth Chris in my lifetime has always had a very high expectation for food and service above all restaurants. When I new I was going to Ruth Chris, I was going to have the best steak and best service like I was a king. Tonight on Friday, August 4th, that did not happen. Our reservation at the Ruth Chris was for 13 people, under Summerall. We proceeded to sit in the very back room with no soft music as we are accustomed to in Jax, FL. Then hosted started handing out the menus and opening and stopped after she got to myself. I was a little perplexed by that service and said, " Chris and Nelson, will be with us shortly." So Chris and Nelson proceeded to bring us our water and take our order. I was so excited to get my cowboy ribeye and my wife to get her favorite petite filet. As I am accustomed to in Jax, FL, I couldn't wait to hear that sizzle of the 500 degree plate my favorite steak on it. When in arrived, Nelson stated that it is a hot plate but not even a crackle of sizzle. The steak was cooked medium, but it was not as hot. More like luke-warm. I was so anxious to eat, I did not send it back. After the first bite, I started to realize my experience was not going to be what I am used to. After all of our food was handed out, neither Chris nor Nelson checked on us for over 30 minutes. Once they finally came to check on us, my wife's drink was watered down and so was mine. At that we requested fresh drinks. Now it was time for our checks. Nelson brought one check that was $1171.63 and said that we could only pay with 3 transaction for the same amount and said he could not separate the bill. At no point in our dinner did Nelson nor Chris ask if there was separate checks and stated, "that their system cannot separate the bill for all of us due to their system losing transactions." Nelson at no time was he ever considerate nor provided the exceptional guest satisfaction that Ruth Chris upholds. So we asked for the manager. The manager on duty would not come to our room and a few of us had to talk to him at the bar. He said the same thing as Nelson said. We informed him that Nelson nor Chris never asked us who was on separate bills and told him that we have all of our bill separated quickly and easily with the local restaurants earlier in the day. Why could he not separate ours? This is Ruth Chris!?! So after about 10 minutes of going back in forth, the manager on duty stated it would take 20 minutes. At this point my Ruth Chris experience had been the worst I have ever experienced. After an hour later the check came in separated by Nelson. We did not get any apology for the service or the food by any of the staff. I have be working in customer service my whole life and this was no where close to Ruth Chris' standards. Eating at Ruth Chris is expensive and I work very hard for my money, this was THE WORST $170.02 I have ever spent. Not to mention trying to celebrate 2 birthdays in our party. I am submitting this complaint to you, so that while anyone else who is vacationing in Puerto Rico and wants to eat at Ruth Chris, will never experience what we experienced today. If this was my first time at Ruth Chris, I would NEVER come back. If I could request a refund would be greatly appreciated. Ruth Chris should have the same customer service as all and this did not happen tonight. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Ruth's Chris Steak House hot plates

I dined at the downtown Indianapolis Ruth Chris Steakhouse last night. The food was great, but the plate that the food came out on was so hot I got second degree burns on my fingers, shortly after I burned my fingers my wrist grazed the plate and I also burned my wrist. While it was obvious that the plate would be warm because of the way the food was sizzling, I never dreamed that it would be that hot. The server warned us about the food being hot, but made no mention of the plate. Afterwards, the server told us that the plates are heated to 500 degrees before they are used, I feel that a significant warning is in line to customers about the heat of the plates, I am disappointed that I wasn't afforded that simple warning. It pended up putting a damper on our evening.

Ruth's Chris Steak House steak, management.

I had an anniversary dinner at Ruth's Chris Troy Mi. I ordered a rib eye medium well, waiter confirmed "just a little pink"? YES! My wife had the filet medium. Wife's filet was perfect. My medium well was medium rare. The waitress took steak back, came back 10 minutes later, this time well done. Twice, and they couldn't get right what TGI Fridays or a sub oar steakhouse would, that is how done you want steak. Manager came by and apologized, but my 10 year anniversary dinner was already ruined. I was offered another steak "to go. " I declined and instead asked manager if he could be considerate when it comes to bill, as I didn't even finish the steak . Manager obliged, but I shouldn't have had to ask for the ruined steak to be taken off of my bill. I will write a review based on my experience, which was horrible. It doesn't seem like such a revered establishment cares about their customers giving them a second chance. For the price customers pay, the restaurant should have offered me a gift certificate as well as comped the ruined steak because this was a decade long occasion. Never again Ruth's Chris!

Ruth's Chris Steak House negative racial atmosphere

My Husband and I and another couple had reservations for Fathers Day at 6pm. One member of our party arrived early and sat at the bar. A white man(another customer) engaged him in conversation and then asked if he was waiting for an Uber . Our friend told him no, he was waiting for the rest of his party for the reservation. The mans wife (who is white) then says she has a twin sister thats as dark as him. By the time we arrived at 6:15, our friend was totaly aggravated by this couple's suggestion that he didnt belong at the restaurant because he is a black man who doesn't work there... I told the hostess the whole party had arrived and that we needed a seat. 10 mins later, our friend approached her again to inquire about our seating. After being seated, it took at least 25 minutes just to receive drinks. Our bread was burned, and it took almost an hour for the steaks to arrive . Over two hundred and sixty dollars to be insulted like this? This is an outrage and you guys should be ashamed.

Ruth's Chris Steak House poor service to a service member

On May 14th 2017 I ate at the Dallas Texas up town location for the first time. I had a great experience until it was time to close out my tab. After I paid my bill of 173.00, I got home and realized I was charged twice in the amounts of 173 and 347.00. I called the restaraunt the following day to resolve my issue and Some one took my name and number and said I would get a call back but no one returned my call. Fortunately I was able to get resolution through my bank the following day. Over all I am dissatisfied and will probably not go back to Ruth chris. Hard to expect that from a 5 star establishment.

Ruth's Chris Steak House poor service

I along with my wife visited the Ruth Chris Steakhouse located inside the Hilton Hotel in Panama City, Panama on April 14, 2017 and was very disappointed with the service and the poor food quality. The towels on the table were dirty and the steaks were cold when they came to my table. The waiter even brought me the wrong order and had to go back and bring me the correct order. I immediately went online and complained about my unsatisfactory dining experience at your restaurant, but I never received a response and was left feeling very disappointed at the poor customer service from this reputable restaurant.

Ruth's Chris Steak House service

My husband and I went for dinner on our 16th wedding anniversary on Saturday, 4/22/2017. After calling at 8:00pm and being told the earliest they could seat us would be 9:00pm. I asked if they were taking reservations and I was told the walk in time and reservation time was the same. We decided we would walk in. Upon arriving we were pleasantly surprised when we were told we would be seated by 8:45p. The hostess took my name and phone number and offered the bar to wait. While we were at the bar the service was delightful. We ordered appetizers and drinks. About 8:30 one hostess came and asked if we wanted to eat in the bar area or if we wanted to wait for our table. We told her we would like to wait for our table. Needless to say 8:45p came and went. At 9:00p my husband went to the hostess area and inquired about our table and was told it would be ready shortly. At 9:05p our bar waitress went and inquired and was told to give them 3 minutes. At 9:10p I went to the hostess area and stood there. Finally we were taken to a table and seated. The male hostess who seated us never said who our waiter or waitress would be. We sat and were served bread and water. At 9:20 no one had come to our table as we watched the tables on both sides of us and in front of us get the service expected. My husband went to the hostess area AGAIN to inform them of the wait. A dry apology was given. About 5 minutes after returning to the table a very nice young Black waiter came to our table. He was very apologetic and informed us that this was not his area, but he was asked to come help out! Did I mention my husband and I were the only Black couple in the area, if not in the entire restaurant?! As we sat and waited for our food we observed Mr. Mark Anderson visit the surrounding tables and inquire how their service was. Of course no one ever came to our table. The entire time we were there the only interaction we had was with our waiter and the kind bus boy. Very disappointing service for this caliber restaurant.
