Run Local Locksmith review: Fraud 12

By far the worst lock smith company iv ever seen . Called after i found there advertising on the yahoo only after leaving my keys in my car . I was desperate to get them since i was on a date so i thought the 15 min wait was good deal . After waiting for 50 minutes a guy finally calls saying I gave him wrong direction and was now lost . So after argurgueing with the guy for 15 more minutes about the direction the guy finally shows up . After i ask how much the job was going be i was told it would come out to 160 dollars to which i decline . After the locksmith became high rate about how i waste his time and was demanding i pay him 15 dollar for compensation for his drive . All while my date is standing next to me . The guy then had the nerves to offer me a deal he would wave the 15 dollar service fee . Would report them to the BBB but doubt that would do anything they don't seem to be legit to began with . Trust me wait the extra 30 minutes and go with another company .

I locked my keys in my car while in Fort Myers, FL. I called Run Local Locksmiths and they said the would get someone right out. They quoted me a price of 40.00 and advised there may be additional labor. The locksmith arrived promptly and stated it would be 120.00 and as we had to get to the airport I was not in a position to argue. The tech used his airbag tool and opened the door with the car remote that was sitting on the seat. Took him 5 minutes. After he was done, he advised it would be an additional charge for using credit bringing the bill to 140.00. Then he had the audacity to advise me that locksmith companies could pretty much do whatever they wanted and it was a waste of time to issue a complaint. I can honestly say I never felt more ripped off than I did that day. I of course checked the reviews before I called. Wish I saw this first.

I am an interested observer who has been investigating operations like run-local and Meni Agababayev. Notice that all the positive reviews above were posted on May 31, and they all have a similar format: (Yesterday/today/this morning) (I had a lock problem) (Run Local saved me and was wonderful). Plus, click on the ID of these positive reviews.
I am willing to bet my firstborn child that Run-Local posted all of those positive reviews. I've seen this same pattern on other sites that collect consumer complaints. Bottom Line: Stay away from Run-Local anything. He's operating in several industries, not just locksmiths.

This is a massive situation and a Billion Dollar organized crime ring that is though out the United States. The Government says the situation is not big enough. So can someone explain to me how this is not big enough. Their ads are in every city and every State. They use the scammed funds to further their fraudulent activity. Only 1 conviction is known. And everyone is sitting on their ### allowing this to happen to innocent people that are believing they are calling a certified Locksmith, but instead they are contacting a person who has no certification and no real training in the Locksmith Industry. What is it going to take before the Government gets off their ### and has the balls to put an end to this. Due to this only 5% of actual certified Locksmith are being called due to the easy access of Internet and yellow page ads that promote their false activities.

Yelp reviews of Alabama locksmiths don't add up

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- There may be no better place on Earth than Alabama to get locked out of your car, if glowing reviews of area locksmiths posted on a consumer review website recently are to be believed.
A total of at least 84 positive reviews of Alabama locksmiths have been posted on Yelp.com in the past week. The Alabama reviews were posted in large, almost simultaneous batches. They seem to follow the same scripts and include the same misspellings and some idioms and syntax not rooted in American English. And many of the locksmith companies identified in the reviews don't seem to actually exist.
The Alabama phone numbers listed in the reviews ring through to a Michigan company called Run Local Locksmith. That company, mentioned by name in a handful of the reviews, takes phone calls nationwide and refers callers to local locksmiths.
A man who answered the phone at Run Local Locksmith said he was unaware of any Yelp campaign and said nobody was present who was familiar with the company's advertising or marketing. This flood of suspicious Alabama reviews comes about a week after The New York Times reported on Yelp's ongoing battle with overseas services that will, for a fee, write and post fake reviews. Many fraudulent reviews are posted by people working in India and making $2 to $3 an hour, the Times reported.
Run Local Locksmith has the Better Business Bureau's lowest rating, an "F, " because BBB attempts to reach the company to address complaints about its advertising were not successful.

I had an important meeting today. I rushed to my office and when I reached the parking lot I got down in a hurry and closed the door. I then realized that I had locked the car keys in the car itself. I being an architect went to the construction site of the building I designed to check if all the work was going on properly. I was just taking a round with the team of engineers working there, when suddenly my foot got stuck in the raw material and I had a fall. In this process the keys to my car slipped out of my pocket and fell two storey’s down into the cement dispenser. I went down to see if I could retrieve the keys but I was unsuccessful. When I reached back to my house, I realized that my wife had kept the keys to the house in her handbag. I tried a lot of ways to open the door myself but was unsuccessful. So I started to scan my phone and I found the number to Run Local Locksmith. They came to my place in just 20 minutes and unlocked the door in another 15 minutes. I would like to thank Run Local Locksmith deep from my heart for their help.

Yesterday I had gone to the gym with my friend. I kept the keys to my house, my wallet and my watch in the bag and put the bag inside the locker. When I came back after an hour, I was shocked to see that my bag was missing. I was really tensed about the lost things. On our way back my friend called Run Local Locksmith.
