Royal Mail Group Lost post

Royal Mail has thieves working for them. I returned my husbands birthday present, an Armani watch, to the online store i bought it from, sent it recorded delivery and it got lost. I only received £40.00 from Royal Mail after sending two claims . I sell on ebay and have lost two small packets containing costume jewelry, nice jewelry, the buyer has not received them so I have had to refund them. A parcel containing boys clothes also was never received and again had to refund them. Strange how these things never turn up, I truly believe people that work for them are stealing items. They need to do a serious re-haul of their system or someone needs to go in undercover and do something! Royal Mail is awful, dont trust them!

Royal Mail Group Postman opening parcels before delivery

Every parcel which has been delivered to me in the past few months has been open. I don't just mean that the wrapping or envelope was ripped, I mean torn open to see what was inside the package. My fear is if there is something in the parcel my postman wants or he takes a liking to the makeup I frequently get I won;t receive my parcel. What do I do?

Royal Mail Group Redirection service

paid £40.00 for a redirection service that was never in place, moved away setup redirection to alternate address, post still delivered to old address, told by monkey in customer services dept at royal mail i wont get a refund because it was my fault for taking out a redirection service for 12 months, WTF...
i pointed out to this person that i had paid for a service i hadn't received she stated she will make the delivery office aware but for a refund i needed to have called in a number of times to complain what the ### kind of response is that, Ive paid money for a service i haven't received therefore i would expect my money back and no manager or supervisor to speak to as theyve all gone home, nice royal mail what a pile of ### you really are ### the lot of you!

Royal Mail Group Offensive postman

Recently we have a postman delivering mail to my property who constantly leave our front gate wide open. My wife has just had eye operations and bright light is painful. As I am working away from home my wife has to go and close the front gate. When asked on the 05.02.2010 to politly to close the gate the postman said "He is not payed to close gates" and left my property leaving the gate wide open. Previously my wife left a note on our front door asking the postman to close the gate which he ignored. I then contacted the Royal Mail via their website and explained the situation which after a number of days I got a reply saying they would try and rectify the matter. As you can imagine the attitude of this postman is upsetting to both my wife and myself yet the Royal Mail costomer service are either to slow in dealing with matter or dont care.

I am a Postman and your postie is wrong.

We are instructed on starting the job, and its included in an official computer program that makes rounds more efficient (well that's what we are told), that all gates and entrances should be left as we find them.

If its open when we get there then it should be left open. If its closed then we should close it on leaving the property - and its common courtesy as well.

To be honest going through Customer Services is probably the wrong way to go about rectifying it. My advice would to approach the Delivery Office Manager at the local office - telephone number and address is usually in yell.com or yellow pages. I would both write and call and it puts the onus on the manager to sort it.

If that does not work you could always go to Adam Crozier via email and things should move apace. I'd better not give you his email address but it is easy to find on the internet.

Royal Mail Group Thieves

By special delivery I sent an envelope to Barnsley South Yorkshire. Inside the envelope were Xmas cards for my nieces’ and nephews. The cards contained money. The envelope arrived covered in cellophane wrapping and when opened, some of the cards had been opened and the money had been removed. £60 in total had been stolen from the envelope then wrapped in cellophane.
This is the sickest thing a member of the Royal Mail could do. Stealing from children’s cards. I paid over £8 to ensure the envelope was delivered safely. It’s disgusting that Royal Mail employ THEIVES.

I have had many goods sent to customers 'go missing' in the post. A vast percentage in fact. The only way now is to send them 'Special Delivery' at a cost of £5.05. Hence the huge queues at the sorting office! Cash cow for the Royal Mail!

i have been a victim of theft using royal mail. at the moment it is ruining my business, i send items to my customers in envelopes but for the last week the envelopes have been getting to my customers minus the contents and the side of the envelope ripped open, once i got on to this i wrapped the envelopes in tape thinking that would stop it and it has, but because they cant steal contents they have bent the envelope enough to snap the item inside rendering it scrap and i have to send another or give a refund. why is this sort of thing being allowed to happen, this could be eliminated i am sure because after all you pay good money for this service

Royal Mail Group Postal thieves

Received yet another envelope which had been slit along the top to see if it contained anything valuable - no, just a couple of old photos from my Mum, protected between cardboard. Happens nearly every time - if it looks like a greetings card, some b**tard in the Royal Mail has to see if there's something to steal. Last time I sent something similar my father received an empty, opened envelope on his birthday. Do they go out of their way to employ crooks? Thank God we can do most communication by email, so we only occasionally have to entrust anything to this useless bunch. And as for their tortuous complaints procedure... Customer service, my a*se.

I recently sent 3 love films discs (seperately) in the post. 1 in my regular post box, which has so far taken 4 days and seems to have been lost, and 2 that were posted at the post office, of these two 1 arrived at it's destination the next day, the other seems to have vanished as well, all are sent 1st class.

Royal Mail seems to lose, on average, 8 items of post to or from me every single year. It's an absolute joke.

90% of 1st class post is supposed to arrive next day, it seems more like 10% to me.

My parcel with my sons xmas present in was sent to me recorded delivery. I never receieved this item. After weeks of trying to find out how to claim and several emails later i finally handed in my claim form with all the relevent details they requested. I then get a letter to say there is no record of my recorded item and 6 first class stamps for my trouble.

I refused to accept this so i logged on to royal mail websites track and trace service, and low and behold there was a record of my item being delivered and a copy of the signature. I was absolutely furious as i live alone and i had not signed for the parcel, it was clearly not my signature. I sent several emails and then another letter to say that they did have record of my parcel being delivered afterall and appologised.

It is now april 2017 and my son is still without his xmas present. Im disgusted with the service i have received, nobody has even had the decentsy tyo speak to me and just send automated emails.

There last bit of advice was to contact the sender and they would have to claim. The whole experience has taken over my life, i have no faith in the postal system as i was told that basically the postman could dump all his parcels in the bin, and sign the slips hiself. The purpose of recorded delivery is to deliver to the address and obtain a signature. In my case this was not true.

Royal Mail Group Royal mail agent fraud

On September 8 2009, I ran into a Craigslist ad for 2 Taylor Swift concert tickets to be held in Dallas, Texas for September 25. I replied to the ad and was really interested because they were going at a great price for good seats. A "Rebecca Sophias" replies to my email and says they are still available but her and her husband are in Scotland for their honeymoon and won't be able to make it to the concert. She said if I wanted to buy them she had found this delivery service company (Royal Mail) in UK that could do next day delivery so that I could receive the tickets on time for the concert, she said if I still wanted them she wouldn't collect the money until after I go to the concert. It sounded like a good plan because I wanted to make sure they were real. She said if I agreed to email her back so that she can email me how the situation will work. So, I did. She told me that she will sign up with Royal Mail and give them the tickets and that Royal Mail will email me a confirmation and my tracking number and what not. Well then I receive an email from Royal Mail, I read everything and Royal Mail said I would have to send the money to the Royal Mail agent ("Mary Cooper") through Western Union and that once she confirms that I sent the money, Royal Mail will send me the tickets and after I receive them I have 30 days to decide if I am satisfied with my parcel. If I am satisfied, I would have to email Royal Mail and let them know that I am satisfied so that they can release the money to Rebbeca Sophias.
It is September 23 at 11:25 PM and I still have not received the tickets. They were suppose to get to me last Wednesday or Thursday. I tried emailing Rebecca Sophias and she will not reply to my emails nor will Royal Mail. I went to the Royal Mail website and emailed every email address I found, Still no answer! I also called every phone number on the Royal Mail website and some of the numbers are not a working number and the rest go to a voice recorder! I called Western Union and they said that Mary Cooper had already picked up the money the following day that I sent it off and that they will not be able to refund me my money since she received it and all I could do was file a fraud complaint so that this "Mary Cooper" will not be able to pick up money from Western Union again! Its so upsetting that people out there will do such a scam like this. I mean come on! I feel really dumb doing my mistake, but I trusted her and she seemed really nice. I'm a young girl at 20, and I do not know what to do now! Does anyone have any suggestions? Please HELP!

This is just to let everyone that use Royal Mail in the Stoke on Trent. Just be aware that your post will not be delivered. Letter that i have put in the post that were sent by Record and Special deliver, have not got to were they were sent. i have sent five by record deliver and four by special deliver. They were posted between the 7/8/2010 and 3/12/2010, and not one got to were they were going. They have come up with excuses that are be on belief. (ie they were not post - and you have proof postage - there was know pick up on that day - sent to the wrong office - bad weather - and best of all van brock down in transit).
so all be a were of post offices and sorting offices around Stock that someone has sticky fingers

you are lucky, i am still waiting. I have made that many complaints to Royal mail by phone, Email and by RD.post. All i have had is the push of and what do you want us to do and its you problem not ours. And know apologise. They have come up with wrong address - was not post (Evan through i have proof that it was and had the right address). So as they have not answer or apologise from them, only ball S++T . So now it in the hands of lawyers and lets see if they can get any were as i can not.

I recieved my kids christmas gift from their parents today sealed up in a plastic royal Mail appology bag. There were no contents only a shredded bag and remenants of Christmas paper. I know the contents were of no great monatary value but another disapointment for their grandparents. I say again because this is the second time this has happen. The first time (Christmas a year ago) was money sent by registered mail to be signed by the recipient, it never arrived. We are also waitng for another package from the UK that was ordered long before Christmas, still no sign of it.
Although this time they were thoughtful enough to appologize I can't help but wonder what happened to the prior registered letter.
The worst part of the whole thing is my parents disapointment at the grandkids never receiving gifts that they sent. As we live so far apart this is very important to them. I tell them to just send a card but still they feel frustated and sad they can't send anything in a parcel in fear it will get stolen or go missing.

TOTAL SCAM. Never trust a website/ email/ anything from the UK! I get fake checks in the mail from UK, and fake emails all the time about a HUGE INHERITANCE.

The reason for this post, is because I also just emailed someone regarding concert tickets on Craiglist! They were the BEST SEATS FOR THE CHEAPEST $. 1ST RED FLAG.

2ND RED FLAD...ROYAL MAIL WEBSITE.

3RD RED FLAG...NOT AVAILABLE TO HAND DELIVER THEM OR SEND ME A PIC. THEY'RE OUT OF STATE RIGHT NOW

4TH FLAG...EMAILS COMING FROM UK WITH UK NUMBERS AND FAX NUMBERS WITH A FAKE FLIGHT ATTENDANT SIGNATURE.

I'm glad I found your posting about your experience. I'm so sorry you got screwed out of your tickets, but you saved me from doing the same! So for that, I thank you.

I just got scammed on Taylor Swift tickets in pretty much the same way as the first person on this list. One of the things that amazed me is that the criminals involved were able to spoof the Royal Mail site and domain in their emails so well. This seems to be a pretty sophisticated operation. But I guess taking in several hundred bucks a lot of times can add up to a lot of money.

Best to heed what Craigslist says:

NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.

DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 99% of the scam attempts on craigslist.

Hope other people read this and are more careful than I was. I was totally ripped off.

I had the same issue over Real Estate as Bb03. The supposed owner was called Henry Harnage instead of Una. The second email he sent me was worded exactly the same as Bbo3's post. I called Western Union this morning and they indicated to me that they don't have special business accounts setup for any company by the name of Royal Mail. The property owner was also claiming to be in Italy till 2013. The fact that the second email didn't even contain any response to questions and concerns I had about the property made me suspicious.

I was going to wait until 9am London time to call Royal Mail and ask them about the service proposal 'Henry' had sent me before I was going to commit to anything but stumbled across this in a google search.

When I was looking through the Royal Mail website, I noticed that all international postage was only tracked up until the point that it left the UK. There is also no indication of any sort of Royal Mail 'Holding' offices in any countries. I've never seen them around Australia in any state.

From my own experiences with this situation so far, and from what I've seen here, it's clear that these are sophisticated scam methods.

It sounds like the same situation im in. There was this mac book pro that seemed to good to be true. And that person told me almost the same exact thing. That there would be a third party involved and he would not receive the money until I released the payment. Your email was very useful to me saved me 1300. I hope it will help many others.

Excellent I'm so glad you posted this. It has made it's way to trustworthy real estate sites in Melbourne Australia. They take the keys to Italy ect and want to send via royal mail but you don't get the keys until you pay western union! Having never heard of western union I thought wow that's odd is this even trustworthy and what a big ask to ask me to pay rent and bond before I have the keys to check. Most agents ask for money to cover lock change if keys are not returned. So then I goggled and found yours and others like yours. You all saved me two thousand aus dollars I thank god fir you.
Here was my email
Hello,
I will be in rome until march 2013, so if it's possible i would rent it
for that period of time.

It's 170 per week for the apartment, the rent included all
utilities, Gas/Electricity/Dishwasher/Telephone/Cable/Internet.You
should pay first 1 month rent + BOND so the total amount will be 1480.

The contents of the shipment you will be expecting are;

1. Bunch of keys to the property.

2. Documents containing the lease agreement and property description,
including the property address.

3. Rent receipts and damage deposit receipts.

Like I said, I will pay for a 2 days delivery so you will receive the
Keys and the contract signed by me right away.I will explain to you
step by step how this will work .

1) First you will have to send me your full name and address. I will
need them for the shipping and papers.

2) I go to the Royalmail store and leave the Keys and the contract
onto your name as the intended receiver.

3) Royalmail will check the envelope to see if everything is OK with
it and also the legal papers that will come along with the Keys.

4) Royalmail will send you a delivery notification to let you know
they have the Keys and the papers in their custody.

5) At this point you will have to go to a Western Union Agent

Location and make a money deposit on the Royalmail payment agent name
for the amount  we agreed (first month + 800 bond deposit) .

6) After you make the deposit you will have to send the info about the
money deposit to Royalmail (MTCN, sender's name and address)

7) Royalmail will verify the payment informations and if everything is
in order they will deliver the Keys and the contract to you .

8) After you receive the package, You will go and check the apt and
in 2 days you must contact them and tell them if you keep the apt or
not, if all is in order you will instruct Royalmail to send me the
informations about the money deposit and I will be able to receive the
funds . If you don`t like the apt they will send your money back to
you and you will send them the keys and the contract to them.

I will pay Royalmail for the shipping and you will pay Western Union
for the Money Transfer fee .

Let me know if we can do this.

Best Regards Una.

Actually I'm sorry, mail carries never email you at all. Unless you go to their personal website and put that you'd like to be e-mailed everytime a tracking change happens to whatever package you're tracking. They only person they e-mail is the sender, but only if the sender asks through the website to come pick up the parcel at her home for shipping.

You got scammed.

If you take the time to read this: http://miami.craigslist.org/about/scams
this will explain it to you better.

Never, ever trust anyone who suggests Western Union. This is just like those 419 Scams where the Nigerians e-mail you for promising you something [money in their case] but ask you for a transfer through Western Union. Scammers use Western Union because it leaves no trace and they can give out fake names and fake addresses so when you go complain, your money is lost forever.

Also the typical "Oh we're not home right now, we're at [UK, Lodon, Scotland, anything other than where they say they're from]" is a common excuse with these scammers to take your money. Also, you should have seen a red flag go up when she told you to send payment but said "Oh don't worry, I won't cash it until you go to the concert." Did you honestly believe that? I'm not trying to be a burden here just helping you realize your mistake.

Also you must remember when the sender uses a postal carrier, THEY email you first but they'll never ask you to send payment to them. It's the sender who pays them and its your money that helps pay for everything.

Total scam.

Royal Mail Group Poor postal service

Royal mail stamp price hikes, quote overpaid ceo, "we aim to improve the service to our customers".
Call me a grumpy old man, if you like.
In the 1940/50/60 s, we got three postal deliveries a day from a usually smiling postman. Now I am lucky if I get three deliveries in a week, from a usually miserable postman. When I do get a delivery, the letters are bundled in a red band and deliveries can be in the middle of the afternoon. 1st class next day? Forget it.
I f they farm it out to private profiteers, we might as well go back to using pigeons

Royal Mail Group Fraudulent misrepresentation of royal mail

On 2/11/2009, I saw a classified ad on Craigslist for the sale of a 2008 Mac Laptop offered by a Mr Roger Dawson . I accepted the offer and was informed that the delivery would be done through Royal Mail in Milan upon payment to Royal Mail agent in Milan, named Claudio Rinaldi, through Western Union. I was also given a tracking number (same 13 digit number as used by Royal Mail) with barcode and Royal Mail logo on the email notification. After sending the money, and attem pting to track the shipment, I discovered that the tracking number was invalid and Royal Mail had no record of same, nor were there any responses to my communication to the buyer and agent.

I have been clearly defrauded and this appears to be a big scam that is going on which is ruining the reputation of Royal Mail and Craigs List.

I hope that Royal Mail will have an investigation done into this type of scam which is cheating innocent people of their hard earned money, and that the crooks will be apprehended. I can produce evidence of the money having been sent to the fake agent of Royal Mail.

unfortunately i fell for the same thing, again a laptop. However i sent the money on the 2/26/09 which was 15 days after you. which means that after you had contacted Royal Mail they had failed to close down the site... That doesnt seem right.

and i am in Australia so it is a wide spread scam. And i too have the evidence to show that the payment was sent

Royal Mail Group Dangerous driving / aggression / fear for safety

At 8pm on sunday night (20 dec 08) i was driving into oxford. While sat at the traffic light controlled roundabout where the ring road dual carriage way exits to go into oxford 3 royal mail trucks (small lorry types) approach from behind at speed. The where waitin in the que but edging closer and closer until inces from my rear bumper. As the lights changed all 3 tried to get in fron of each other, cutting across lanes and nearly hitting 3 cars in the process. Clearly racing each other to the nearby depo they showed no respect for other road users or the law. Just off the roundabout i found myself being over taken in a 30 mph zone by one of the trucks, now travelling at least 45 mph. As the road came to an end he pulled across (all while the second 2 are within a few metres of my bumper) forcing me off the road and taking my mirror off in the process. They then proceeded to give me the (w*nker) symbol from there now open window. I got out of the car to inspect the damahe at which point the first van proceeded to come right round the roundabout and start shouting abuse (along the lines of f*ing idiot, waiti there your f*ing dead). As he attempted to 3 point turn in the road i got back in my car and drove away as fast as i could. I have no witnesses other than those at the earlier junxction (who did not stop) and the drivers of the royal mail vans, andid not get the registration otherwise iw ould go to the police.

I set up a redirection service from Royal Mail, for 3 weeks now I am not receiving mail at all at the new address, some mail went to the old address, and after 3 phone calls Royal Mail still is unable to rectify this. They now say the need "evidence" of mail being sent to the old address! This means I have to regularly go and bother the present occupiers asking them to save my mail, collect it myself and post the "evidence" envelopes to Royal Mail. By the sound of it, this will take still weeks and weeks, whereas I have paid for a 3 months redirection service, and now I am rushing to notify everyone of my new address, hoping not to forget anyone. Basically i have paid for something that has not been delivered, but Royal Mail has no refund policy on redirection. The only possible contact is the customer service number, but, although not unfriendly, they are extremely cold and unsympathetic, they give you this reference number and that's it. Why should we be completely powerless against an organisation that handles our private and sensitive data? As a regular citizen I feel I have no power to have my rights respected, I am now on my 4th week of no mail and every time I call there is absolutely no progress on the matter. Frankly I am almost beyond frustrated, I am getting quite desperate, and also very worried about identity theft, with my mail and personal data not under control. Is there any organisation that can act for people like me? Please don't ask me to make a complaint at Royal Mail, i did so and it's not going anywhere!

Royal Mail Group lost birthday cards

On 1st October I posted 3 birthday cards to the same person (one from my husband and myself, the others were from our two sons) - none of these birthday cards arrived. The one from us had a cheque inside. The road we live in is isolated on its own and has its own post box which is emptied everyday at 5.30pm - so the only post collected is that of people living down our road. So where are these cards - I can understand one going awol but not all three. What is going on?

I posted a card to Australia on 20 the march, it had $30 Australian dollars in for my nephew's birthday and it still hasn't arrived. Royal mail not interested. Clearly been stolen.
It's a disgrace

Mothers birthday tomorrow. Posted the card on Monday Oct 26th and she hasn't received it. This is the second card that has gone missing, my brothers birthday card to her last year also didn't arrive. Again as comment above (linked in here from a Google search) posted to Mablethorpe. I think the Royal Mail needs to do something here, this is an absolute disgrace that I can't even post a birthday card! Given the rate at which these cards go missing, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for them to track some cards through the system and find out who the culprits are.

Hiya just thought I would let you know that on the 25th of November 2009 I posted 2 PADDED birthday cards to Ireland and both my friends still haven't received them. On Wednesday the 13th of January I posted another 2 birthday cards to the same house at the same post office at the same day, at the exact same time, 1 PADDED and 1 just ordinary! Guess wot? The 1 that was padded still hasn't arrived! I just want to make people aware of this!

We live in Hampshire. My son has been living in Leeds for 4 years now, during the time he has been there 2 cards have arrived from him. One 6 weeks late to me 2 years ago, and his sister's card which he sent on 23rd January for her birthday on 26th arrived yesterday 9th February! All other cards birthday/anniversary etc in either direction have gone missing. I have tried to complain by email and by phone but as other commentators have said. Royal Mail simply aren't interested. With the numbers involved this cannot simply be coincidence. Someone is stealing them. It has to be on some scale for so many cards to be involved. Only one card has ever had anything in it, a cheque from my sister, I had neglected to tell her not to do this. Fortunately we discovered she had done it in time to cancel the cheque. We have resorted to putting cards in plain brown envelopes to see if this makes a difference.

Does anyone else have this specific issue with the Leeds area?

Royal Mail Group No refund for the lost package!

On the 30.03.07 i had registered a package by special delivery to the home office, from the holloway road post office i was guaranteed a next day delivery by 9 am and on the 19th of april i tracked it only to find out that my package has not been delivered.

When contacted royal mail i was told "sorry madam that item has now being classified as a lost item, i am unable to help you any further as you now need to fill out a claim form and we will refund you the cost of the contents".

I told her that the package contains my husband british passport, my jamaican passport containing my uk indefinite visa and usa visa, my son's jamaican passport containing his uk visa (indefinite leave to remain) and usa visa, my old passport which is required by the home office when applying for citizenship. My marriage certificate a checque for 468 and my application form for british citizen. She told me they will only refund me for the cost of the pass ports.

The price of replacing the visas in one passport is now over 500 pounds as of the 02.04.07 and i am not sure about the us visas, i was also trying to beat the deadlined for the changes which came in effect on the 02.04.07 where as that fees went up from 468 to 1000 pounds to process me and my sons application jointly.

To replace my visa's and all three passports plus to re submit the application will now cost me a total of over 2000 pounds due to the ridiculous increase in prices within the home office.

Driver on track with number plate PO13EAY,

Driving very dangerous on the road. Didn’t keep distance moving from roundabout with other road users, and didn’t show any indicators.

The Royal Mail complaints website is the most difficult website to navigate with massive amounts of erroneous information and links which navigate you back to where you started which ensures you to call them on a premium phone number to deal with your complaint. I work in It and this is the worse website I have ever come across.
