Was cycling home from work on 16/08/2013 at approximately 19:00 when I became aware of an erratic Royal Mail van. The driver was beeping his horn at another Royal Mail van, rapidly accelerating and decelerating and changing lanes. This was on Aldergate St near Barbican tube station. This alerted my attention to stay out of his way. He turned down Clerkenwell road and proceeded to tail-gate the car in front of him leaving about 50cm of space. At the next set of traffic lights I came past the van again. When the lights went green the van rapidly accelerated out and passed me just before the road became too narrow, he nearly knocked off the cyclist in front of me, but managed to slow down just in time, then once the road opened out again he sped off into the distance. The driver clearly had no regard for the safety of other road users and this behaviour should not be acceptable for Royal Mail drivers. The registration of the van was BX06 LV0. I just hope that given enough complaints about this person's driving, Royal Mail will do something about it.

Last Wednesday 14th June I was travelling down the M3 between junctions 9 & 10 at about 12.40pm in a 50 mph restricted zone. A Royal Mail lorry was on the inside lane and blew his horn at me for only doing just above the 50 mph. I relented and accelerated even faster as he was being really aggressive and obviously wanted to get out of the inside lane. He then pulled out and proceeded to sit 2 foot from my back bumper which I found really intimidating. There was really no need to be so aggressive and drive so dangerously, I was already doing slightly above the 50 mph max speed limit and didn't want to risk any more. I'm sure their tracker information can confirm them travelling over 50 mph but not necessarily their aggressive driving. Their reg number was PN70BTU. Please confirm receipt of this message and what you are able to do about it. Thanks
