Route 21 Trading is the worst possible shop for replacement motorcycle parts, Stay far away! I ordered a replacement carburetor for my antique motorcycle, 2 days after the install my bike wouldn't start, brought it back to Bob and was told the carburetor was defective and that I'd have to purchase another literally just days after purchasing the first one. The owner Bob (Robert) Russ was an absolute disgrace when I asked for the job to be covered under a warranty he refused and demanded I pay for the new part or leave the shop. Bob's profanity laced tirade against me went on for a few minutes until I decided to take my business elsewhere. Person calls non stop. Spoke to them several times, they were told I was waiting for the rest of the parts to come in to send them so they would have the parts to make their cables. Told them a few weeks ago I would send them back their parts, they declined.
Rang my phone non stop one time after another on 8/28 while I was at the hospital getting an MRI and drop the entire office and waiting room out of their minds because legally they couldn't answer or shut off my phone.
Wants to do custom cables for a Mikuni carburetor on a snowmobile requiring length that is unreasonably long, doesn't seem to understand there is testing to do to make sure the cables actually operate without sticking or having excessive drag on the control levers or their [censored] is going to be hurt when the controls stick.
As of 8/29 your damn cables are on their way back to customer WITHOUT any parts. I do not want to be responsible for some idiot who makes cables that stick or bind.
And we do not do repairs. So this complaint has nothing to agree with the the other idiot who posted a complaint for a repair shop that doesn't exist.
I agree with the first complaint. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Bob continues to make excuses on a job that he said would only take 1-2 weeks. It has been 20 weeks and even upon the request of sending the cables BACK to me, he wont send them. He is holding the parts I need to finish my restoration hostage as I need them to make the cables. STRONGLY recommend never dealing with this idiot.
Rt 21 Trading is NOT a repair shop, we sell mail order only. We do NOT sell replacement carburetors for motorcycles. And we are Not in Maine. Person who posted this has no idea what they are talking about, they have been to our "shop" because we do not have one.
Needs to get back on his medicine and maybe look at his cell phone. Doesn't even have valid contact information in messages.
