Ross Dress for Less customer service-

Two weeks ago, I stopped by the Ross Dress for Less on my way home from a business trip. I purchased a few dresses and two pair of sunglasses. When I was checking out, the cashier asked me if I wanted the sunglasses in the shopping bag. I told her yes and thank you. When I got home, 50 minute drive, I realized that the sunglasses were not in the bag.

I called the store and spoke to the manager and she stated she would speak to her supervisor about mailing them to me and that she would get back to me. I received a phone call that evening from the cashier who was suppose to put the glasses in the bag and she asked for my mailing address and told me that she would mail the glasses to me. She explained that the supervisor was NOT going to mail them herself. It has been almost two weeks and I have not received my sunglasses.

Ross Dress for Less alleged manager sets policy on what the customer looks like at the time

Reference Laredo, tx. Ross dress for less on St. Bernardo.

On Wednesday may 29th at 6:00 p.m. I was in the ross check out line after waiting for about 15 minutes several people walked up to the return line. There was about 20 people in the check out line. 3 people walked up to the returns line. The 1st cashier took the 1st return person. I waited patiently as next in line. The 2nd cashier who I learned later was the manager took the 2nd return person. That cashier manager then took the 3rd return person. 20 people in line, and when I complained I was told that's the way it was that returns just keep going 1st no matter how long the line was or how long anybody is waiting In the regular checkout line. I asked to see the manager And the other male cashier told me Alyssa was the manager, The cash you that took the to return customers in line 1st. I believe this was racial discrimination as I appear to be a gringo and everyone else was Hispanic. Last return I made here they serviced one Person from the return line and then the next available cashier serviced a person from the check out line. They make up their own rules According to who is next in what line.

Ross Dress for Less abysmal customer service, shopping experience

I've been a loyal Ross treasure hunter since the 90s but because of the people and employees these stores attract, I think I'll be doing all my shopping online from now on. It's just not worth it. I know these are outlet stores so I don't expect anything fancy and I've been tolerating the apathetic & resentful custome service for some time. But last Memorial Day, at the Ross on west Main Street El Cajon was enough.
Because these stores seem to attract thieves and vandals there are security guards, locked bathrooms, carts you can't take to your cars which just keep me from buying more! (And even disability carts are not allowed?)
But with all this, the shoppers themselves are still the biggest problem. I was waiting patiently in a long line to pay for one item, and there was this huge extended family spread out horizontally in line with all their carts and their kid running in and out of line and up to the counter bumping into my shins with unpaid items. Even when I loudly said "ow" his zombie family stared into space. He actually got ahold of a metal pipe somehow, at one point! He kept coming up to me too and asking me what it was?! I had to position my cart between him and me, not knowing what he'd do with it. And instead of teaching him some consideration for others his lazy mother finally said "don't talk to her." As if I was the problem! It wasn't even the kids fault, he was curious, full of energy and unparented. But Ross, since you're already treating all of us like criminals, can you do something about the people that are actually a dangerous problem. Otherwise the last person with manners is done with you-me.

Ross Dress for Less manager was rude

I am a long time customer at Ross. This is the first time I encountered rudeness from the cashiers and the manager of the store. The dressing room and the stores were open until 10 pm. We were in the dressing room until 10 pm and walked toward the cashier registers. Before we arrived, from the distance, the cashier told us that they closed the registers. The light of register 5 was still on and the cashier to the right, who was the manager, was still serving a customer. All stores have a grace period of few minutes to let the customers inside wrap up their sales. We wanted to buy the 7 items that we were trying in the store for more than an hour. The cashier looked up to the manager to OK the sale but the manager rudely refused even after we tried to ask and beg. We are extremely disappointed and felt discriminated. When we approached the registers, the manager was still serving a customer on another register and the register light was still on.

Ross Dress for Less manager unprofessional

Your manager by the name of Nicole is so unprofessional that she doesn't dress proper for the job. I have known that there is alot is stealing through the store and nothing is being done about it . The employee are being treated so bad in the store, that they are working off the job. You all need to start watching the head managers over the store in Security, because I truly believe they are the ones have people steaing in the store. Also I overheard the back door was unlock for a few days and it was swept under the rug. They are constantly cutting people hours and giving to other employees. There is too much favoritism going in the company . For the ones want to work hard are being treated unfair. The person over Nicole really needs to watch Nicole because she is not to be trusted to run this store. There is too much negative activity going on and it needs to be stopped.

Ross Dress for Less overall store persona itself

I thought I would pay a visit to the new Ross in Clinton because it's new and it's in the area. I've never really been Ross fan, now I see why. It's terrible how the store wants to treat us... the shopping carts have long poles attached to them (a nuisance and awkward), there's a guy posted at the entrance wearing a shirt with Loss Prevention on the back in large letters and on the front above the pocket area (greeting people) when you come in the store, there are a million surveillance cameras all over the front portion of the store, at the dressing room they physically take your items and count them then issue you a number hanger going in and when you come out, and at the checkout area there are signs posted by each register that read "We check bills" only in the Black/Brown areas do you see this type of treatment. I feel offended and disrespected. This is a brand new store in Clinton MD that just opened a little over week ago in an area that has new developments in the range of $400K and up. I don't appreciate this type of treatment, I don't tolerate it, and I won't be patronizing this Ross Dress for Less again or any other for that matter. It's a shame that's how things are done by the store and district managers and that they think/believe its alright. When I spend my money in an establishment I expect better! Very disappointed and angry.

Ross Dress for Less customer service

Me and my husband were at this store we saw a storage ottoman that we liked and saw that it was missing a leg. The ottoman was $39.99 . We found someone to help us, and asked if we wanted to buy it since it was missing a leg would it be possible to get a discount. She said she had to ask the manager she spoke to the manager came back and said that the manager said we would get 20 off. My husband then confirmed by saying we will get it for 20 and she said yes and was very helpful and offered to carry it to the front and told us to ask for Maria the manager when we checked out. We got to the register I don't remember the cashiers name she had reddish hair and a nose ring. Told the cashier what was said. She called for Maria and Maria came to the register. The cashier said she had to verify the 20% off. My husband said no she said we could have it for 20. The cashier then interrupted and said Maria is the manager she is the one who verifies. Maria then said she never saw the ottoman just went by what the other girl told her and said 20% off. When we tried to explain what was said the cashier just kept talking over my husband and saying Maria is the manager who verifies. We finally we able to explain we assumed taking 20 off was $20. Maria said they never take dollars off just percentage like we are supposed to know the policy. We didn't get the ottoman. Not as much because of the price but because of the way it was handled. All she had to do to do was let us explain what was said so we could resolve the misunderstanding without being talked over, and then all she had to say was I'm sorry it was 20%, for future customer service.

Ross Dress for Less management and workers

I am very dissapointed with how our ross store in victoria, tx is managed its honestly a joke.. I have a family member that works there and she works her butt off, is never late and is willing to drop everything to go and be at work.. Lately she has been having trouble with a few coworkers not wanting to do their jobs and shes having to do her job and theirs which I think is bs.. So she has been telling her manager about the situation with her coworkers over and over again but since they are all friends they get together and they give my family member the hard time and pretty much tell her that she just has to do it... My family member has always been respected and works hard she gets her job done.. Im complaining because the ross store in victoria is a huge joke with how they are managed.. If your gonna have a manager that is willing to lose good workers over workers who mess around and dont do anything then the corporate office really needs to double check who the hell they hire as managers because its a business and that comes before being friends.. Whats right is right and whats wrong is wrong and if yall are willing to hire people who jist sit in their rear ends I will be applying to get free money to sit around

Ross Dress for Less customer service @ store

I live 1 -1/2 away, I drove yesterday to your weatherford location, found a dress but wrong size. I took a pic of it to look at other ross stores for
it because it is for my niece; the other store I called ask for a number etc so the could very kindly assist me in looking via phone for it, I neglected to take a pic of the tag; I called the weatherford location this morning to see if they would mind assisting me in getting the number off the dress. An employee named sharon ans the phone and told me she was the only one there and couldnt leave her register, so ok fine, then I called back to ask if I cld leave the dress description & my phone number with her so that when she had time she cld call me with that info, well they are not allowed to call out, ok fine. Then I proceeded and asked her if there was no one else in the entire store that cld help me, she said (after she told me she was the only one there previously) that they were all busy and mgr was on conference call. Mind you this is like 20 miniutes after they opened. I have worked retail many years and I know at 9:20am it is not busy and should never be too busy to assist a customer! this really made me very angry, the customer is the one that takes care of employees pay. I feel this whole entire process was uncalled for.

Ross Dress for Less w 2

I have been trying to get my w2 and my last pay check send to me I have called all the phone numbers to get help and they tell me to register on Aline. adp.com and when I tried to do so it says I am no longer in the system and it locks me I am really upset is there any other way to get a hold of someone to help me please that aren't answer machine's I have been trying for quite a while or how can I have my check and my w2 send to me to my address or email can some one please help me

Ross Dress for Less returns and exchanges

I'm honestly not a complainer and I have lots of patience. I was a bit frustrated and felt as if I was being accused of something I didnt do. I like shopping at Ross when I get the chance always a great selection but I was displeased with the service I received for returning an item. It was a pair of pants I wanted to return because they didn't fit how I liked them too. They were 21.99 when I bout them and that day I spent $147 bucks. I had my receipt for the pants I wanted to return first the cashier who was returning them was saying the description didn't match for the type of jeans they were but the sticker was clearly stuck on the tag of the brand of jeans. So she called a supervisor to come over. The supervisor came over and looked at the receipt and the jeans and then started blaming the cashier that rung me up for using a different item but I explained to her she didn't she scanned the tag off the jean. Then when the supervisor was looking at the jeans she started to say that Ross doesn't carry that brand. I'm sorry but Ross carries many brands. Then she was telling the cashier they can check cameras and I was just thinking to myself really? Over 22 dollar pants you think I would steal or miss tag? I didn't even like the fact she accused the cashier first and then accused me. I've worked retail for a long time and I get it it can be frustrating but the supervisors customer service was poor and you should never accuse an associate and then a customer without finding out what happened. If you want to see the cameras check them. I really don't care you will see that she scanned them like that. I will also not shop at this Ross anymore because you want to feel comfortable where you shop. I understand everyone has a job to do but I was not treated very nicely and customer service is key cause customers keep stores open.

Ross Dress for Less unethical behaviour of store supervisor/associate

I went to ross store at milpitas ca on jan 20th with my mom. Mom liked one of the crockery set and she wanted to see the size of it. Since I have seen so many open box items there, I opened that and shown it to my mom. After a minute or so, one associate/supervisor name trina came and told me "you should not open the items like this. This will be difficult for us to sell it to next customer again." admitted my mistake and I replied "sorry, I didn't know about it. I opened this because I saw other open box items." then this associate trina said : "this is not a walmart store to open the boxes and see it". I didn't say anything but just moved on with my shopping. After couple of minutes I saw she was standing couple of aisles away and stared at myself,
To my mom and our cart. Again I ignored and went on. At last I was there any front for check out. Trina was at the checkout attending customers for checkout. When it was my turn, she did not wanted to attend me, she turned her back and did not called next person (which is myself). By that time another friendly associate next to trina called me and I did my checkout. I was in my ethnic dress. This is a complete discrimination and unethical behavior for a store associate/ (I don't know whether she is a store manager or supervisor). I was purchasing for a special function and spent 137 dollars on that day at ross. Walked out of the store with total disappointment.

Ross Dress for Less working at ross

Ross is the only job that i've ever worked and left within 3 months. The management is very rude and 2 face their own HARDWORKING employees. All the managers do is sit in the office and when they're not in the office they are outside smoking or just hanging out. They are not helpful when you ask them to help or assist you. I live 45 min to an hour away depending on traffic and weather, and got angry if I called to let them know I'd be 3-5 minutes late. Even when they scheduled be during 5:00 rush hour. They are not very understanding, my grandmother passed away and it seemed like it was a huge burden for them to let me have a few days off to go to her funeral and help my family. Also we had a big flood and my whole road caved in on both sides of my house. I was stranded. The only time I've called In and Kim, the store manager, dale, the other manager and Kristy all got an attitude and made me feel as if I wasn't appreciated there. I will never work there again nor will I recommend anyone getting a job there. They half [censored] about everything they do and only care about scheduling they're favorite people to close the store with them so they can get out at a decent time. There has been times when I closed and didn't get out till 12:30 to 1:00 at night and didn't get paid for the extra time past the time of the store closing. Very dissatisfied.

Ross Dress for Less paycheck

I started working at Ross the second week of November. But in December I was scheduled to work on the 5th and 6th of of December at Ross located at 9412 Hwy.16 in Onalaska, Wisconsin. On the 5th, as I went to clock in at 2:30 pm...my badge number was not recognized by the system. So therefore I could not clock in. I waited for someone to assist me but the manager was not there. The same thing happened on the 6th. I was told by the assistant manager Amy that it was basically my fault because I didn't finish the required paperwork. When it was the general manager Tony that told me I was done with everything when I finished the online boarding/ training. The 3rd day he told me he needed to see my 2 forms of I.D. which I told him I had. That was the last I had heard about it.
Because everything wasn't processed by management I was kicked out of the system by the time December 5th and December 6th came around. I was never paid for these 2 days of work. I was told to reapply and so far I have submitted 2 applications and still no work with Ross.
I would like to get paid for these 2 days of work. I simply just thought there was a glitch in the system and therefore everything would be taken care of...and clearly it was not. And the simple fact that I was not required to work if I wasn't in the system. Especially since the required I-9 form was not completed by management as I discovered later on while reapplying for the job.
Another employee was kicked out of the system the same week but apparently she was hired back but I was not. It is now the end of December so it's obvious Tony is not interested in hiring me back at Ross.

Ross Dress for Less sexual harassment, non workplace convo, making my daughter feel uncomfortable and discrimination...

A coworker asking my daughter why she prefer pussy over dick, and other things, when she told the person in charge over him, they replied why you didn't tell me the day it happened... it doesn't matter what She prefer or if she waited a day later to report it, the fact is that it happened she tried to ignore it, but it still bothered her so she said something and it did not get handled at all or get any concern...

Ross Dress for Less store and dressing room is filthy bacteria

Hello I visited your store on Black Friday in the evening I've been to the store before I just want to say that the dressing room is extremely dirty and filthy you could see that it hasn't been the floors have not been washed in a very long time possibly years you can see dust bunnies and debris on the floor when I was trying to try on the clothes that the clothes that I was trying on right when they hit the floor beat we're being picked up dust and debris from the floor dirt and filth the clothes were getting dirty from the floor I actually got sick the next day that's bacteria and germs the floor needs to be pressure clean with hot soapy water the walls it's disgusting I got sick the next day after being in your store I got a bad cold your store is dirty it's filthy the floors need to be washed properly and the dressing room needs to be washed the walls the seeds and the floors what is the point of buying new clothes if they're going to get dirty I had to stop going to your store cuz it's just too filthy especially the disgusting I'm not going to be able to go in there and buy clothes because I don't want to try them on the dressing room attendant said I'm the second customer who brought it to her attention

Ross Dress for Less service

My husband and I went to toss to return or exchange socks, we were standing in line patiently waiting like everyone else. When it was our turn to go up, the Associate Amanda yelled out very rudely to come to the counter. Obviously she was upset about something, so we ignored it. However, when she asked us what we were doing, we told her that we needed to return or exchange the socks for other things he wanted instead. She looked at the receipt and stated it was not the correct one. Then I realized my husband brought the wrong one and I was like oh no, I even apologized and said well he didn't want the money back anyways, can he just exchange for other products and pay the difference? She then snapped back at me very rudely and stated she had already explained that to my husband. Then I was taken back by this because she doesn't first of all.realuze my husband does not speak fluent English and assumed he understood her and therefore I was trying to explain to her what he was requesting. She became very snarky and just continued to be rude in front of our faces and started making comments of how there are rude customers. She kept asking me over and over what I was saying and I kept telling her I was not saying anything. At the end of the transaction she didn't thank us and she walked away very fast before we can walk away and there were still people in.line. I tried to get her attention to ask for her name and the managers name, she just kept walking away. Then another associate told me the Store Managers name is Dixie, then she heard him tell me this, then she turned around and walked around to the outside of the counter to confront me and she was aggressively indicating her name was Amanda. So then we walked out of the store This experience was highly unacceptable and she was very rudely confrontational not only with us but also to her collegue. She is not fitted to represent Ross Dress for Less, she is very unprofessional. As a manager myself, I would never allow my employees to treat anyone in thus manner, especially to customers. This will ruin the reputation of this company if you continue to have people like this work at your establishment. I will second guess to go to Ross in the future because of this horrible experience I encountered tonight. Very unacceptable.

Ross Dress for Less return

Firstly, I stood at the counter trying to get the employees attention but they ignored me because she was in conversation with 2 other employees. Then, I explain that I wanted an exchange but she rudely tells me to get the item and wait in line. Don't know about you but other stores get the item for you! That's not what I'm mad about, it's just how rude she said it like I had interrupted her when she was in a conversation. Anyway, I went to the counter because there was no one in line and another employee signaled me to go. Annoyed that I have to be treated like a nausance whenever I just want to shop.

Ross Dress for Less actions taken by manager against employee

A young man named Marco had just helped us after our card had been locked and had finished the transaction when he called the next customer. The manager named Eddie as the employee told Marco to go home and when the man asked why Eddie said talking to much. The young man was helping us and I find this outrageous. I talked to Marco in the parking lot after to gather information about this and he left confused and upset when before he was joyful and happy. Personally as being helped by the young man I felt if unjust that he had no further explanation and was just send home after being so efficient and joyful. He made me feel happy about visiting my local Ross and the actions of his manager made me sick. The young man told me it was fine he didn't want to be mad at Eddie and would speak to is store manager in the morning Eric, but still I feel like this diserves greater attention. A young man is putting himself to work does it with a smile and makes the customer smile is amazing and is a perfect picture for Ross, on the other hand the actions taken without reason other than talking was rash and unethical. Is that what Ross depicting for the rest of there employees good customer serivce is bad. I hope to see more of the young man soon and others like him. And a lot less of the actions taken by Eddie.
