They cleaned the drains in my home on October 2010. Charged 580.75. Then added an extra $29, and $15 to my credit card. I sorted that part out, but now I found out that they charged my credit card on January 17th 2011 for a further $595.75. They don't answer their phone. G.E credit card company says that they cannot help me; and that I should contact the company. Since they don't return any of my phone calls, I'm kind of stuck. Disgusting treatment.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I've used this company on many occasions, due to running a Property Managing company. They have serviced all 6 of our buildings in the Orange County area and have always been up front and honest when there's is a bigger problem then expected. It's just much easier to complain than it is to give a compliment these days. You should always get 3 bids before doing a major project on your home. If you sign up for a major repair, then live with it. A dentist or doctor will over charge you for their services any day of the week, but for some reasons Plumber get a bad " Rep". We would highly recommend Rooter Hero Plumbing any day.
Same thing happened to us. They came to snake a drain for their coupon price, then told us it would cost over $4000 since their camera showed the line was dark which meant it was broken and they'd need to tear up our flooring and dig down a number of feet through concrete to fix the problem. Got a second opinion today and the plumber was able to clear up the problem by just pushing the snake through the clog. He looked at the quote Rooter Hero gave us and said they were full of it - no need to replace anything just needed a little muscle to open up the line. What a rip off - our cost with the honest plumber from C & C Plumbing was only$50!
Roto rooter screwed me too. Jerry Dilks general manager promised me that any problems that i had after spending thousands to replace my drain pipe in my yard would be handled with no problems. i called them cause again after thousands spent i still have the same problem in sicklerville nj i called them to send a tech he called Jerry Dilks and Jerry told him to pack up and leave that they wont do any more work at my home they are ruthless people Pat swanson was the ceo who also does not care.
I am posting this everywhere i can so everyone knows seniors beware the name is jerry dilks general manager if you have problems he wont help you but this is the guy that you need to go after in your law suite.
Make sure you require them to use a cutter blade, if they chose not to, they are setting you up for a yanking $6000 out of your pocket to replace the piping... DONT BUY IT! I made sure I came to my parents house when they called these people because $79 dollars sounded too good to be true. Then they quoted my parent $6000 to run new piping... I put a stop to that... Also pay them with a check.
My advice is just pay the $180 to the Roto Rooter people to clear your drains of any roots. They use the proper tools. If you have a large tree that is around your pipes, just call Roto Rooter once a year.
my girlfriend just had them out to find out why her plumbing was backing up and they said they had to dig up her yard and run new pipe, she is 63 years old. we called another plumber who came out and only charged her $120. to snake her pipe from the roof to the street and that fixed it. Rooter Hero gave her a quote for $5, 500. I am going to complain about them everywhere I can. This company is out to get the elderly what a shame.
The Better Business Bureau will hear about these con artists. They are taking advantage of senior citizens.
They told my father, a senior citizen, that his plumbing situation was a major problem requiring over $7, 800 in repairs. Another plumber fixed the problem with a larger snake for under $100!
I'm willing to bet that every Rooter Hero Plumbing outlet is an absolute fraud!
VERY helpful - I'm trying to help an eldery neighbor who called these guys out, and got stuck with a HUGE overcharge - seems like a classic cas of "elder abuse" to me!
OMG! i was just researching this company and I'm glad i found this website
they came and told my MOM (she is 72 years old) that she needed over $15, 000 in "repiping repairs"
- we were so afraid but we called another company and they came and fixed the problem for $175 ...
i think this company is a total RIP OFF
i'm sorry that they ripped you off. I would call BBB and get these guys reported, please be careful and god bless.
