Roomster review: scam!!! beware 96

This website is such a scam. They have the same canned responses saying that they are looking for "clean and responsible person".

They are spamming Craigslist with FAKE postings and i have contacted 5 different postings (not knowing they were all from roomster.com or subletavaiable.com or other shady websites) and not a single one of them has responded saying anything other that "please sign up with your credit card" for any information. NO ONE gets back to me about the places and I don't think they exist at all as there is no unique or identifying information.

This is extremely dishonest to be clogging up real room search sites with their fake postings to just try to make subscriptions.

in short, roomster.com and subletavaiable.com ARE A SCAM WEBSITE!

Have to pay if you want to even read an email from another member. So I paid 3 days, just to find out that the "messages" I had received were of absolutely no information. I ended up being charged more after 3 days and I should not have had to pay the 3 days as it was. Will never go onto the site again. I recommend staying away.

I didn't realize they would charge me a 2nd time, of which I will get nothing from. They dupe you into buying shorter term access only to charge you for longer term when that expires. Definitely not up front about what is in the agreement.

Words that describe this company: dishonest, thieves, ripoff, shady, crooked.. yeah, that about sums it up.
I hope this company folds.

Roomster there has lots of listing of rooms and the filters really helped me narrow down the options to find a room that worked for me.

Roomster was extremely helpful when my roommates and I needed to find a person to live in our third bedroom, we created a listing and were able to screen applicants fairly easily and happy to say we ended up with a great roommate!

If anyone you know is looking to rent a room tell them about Roomster, their rates are fairly reasonable compared to what a brokers fee might cost and they have a ton of great listings in so many areas. Very happy with the service.

I know about Roomster.com. Because 3 months ago I required a furnished room then I found roomster.com for searched. I saw many rooms and renting one as I liked. And I still lived this room. So I can say that Roomster is best. I recommend this all time.

After trying to use Craigslist to rent out an extra room with no success I created a Roomster listing and had much better results, found someone down to earth and responsible to rent to and have since recommended to family and friends looking for roommate matching.

I found a roommate in 6 day in New Jersey which is pretty awesome. I did pay $14.95 and canceled no problem. I will use Roomster.com again and will recommend Roomster to my friends. Wish the service worked better on future.

I signed up on Roomster to find a Room near New York. Within 20 days I found a nice looking Room that I aspect. Roomster charged my credit card $29.95 but, I'm so happy with their service and I found a beautiful Room near New York that I want. Thanks Roomster.

I signed up for this website mistakenly, they charged more for their service than advertised, their database was defective and refused to update my location, there are dozens of ghost profiles, and their customer service is even worse than their program.

THIS SITE IS A SCAM! I've reported them to my CC company, Pay Pal, BBB. Even contacted some of the unsuspecting folks out there.

How do we get them out of business?

Like everyone else they ripped me off, I plan to harass them tirelessly until I feel they've earned the 60 dollars they stole from me.

I know a lot of people already said this but I'll say it just one more time, Stay away form this site, unless you want to be ripped off. If you already been a victim make sure you cancel your card so they can't take anymore money from u!

I think the site is gone now. I signed up for free version and hopefully I won't be charged for anything :(

AVOID this site! I signed up fo a $14.95 one time use and they turned it tnto a recurring supscription of $29.95 per month. I did not catch it untl the second $29.95 charge.

They took money out of my account for services NOT RENDERED...I think they CALL THAT STEALING! My account is now overdrawn and I have no recourse to this problem. I have to cancel my card because they could continue to steal dor services NOT RENDERED! I will not quit exposing their theft until I get my money back!

This company is awful and deceiving. They say once you agree to their terms and conditions you are billed automatically every month. However when you sign up, they don't make you aware of this. Their are much better websites to use for finding a roommate. STAY AWAY FROM ROOMSTER!

I also was scammed by this company. I just noticed that they charged my account and I also only signed up for the 3-day trial. I have informed them that I want my money back and I will go to every media outlet to do so and inform people of their shady ways!

This a site for finding roommates, but no response from any until after my account expired. I'm not signing up again. there are free sites. I'm afraid that I'll be charge more $ so I keeping the verification numbers handy. I'll call visa next.

The one really negative fact that I do know is that I totally canceled my 3 day subscription in the right amount of time and YES, they went ahead and charged me 29.95 anyway.. But, with that being said, I've found three roommates from the site on three different occasions. I do believe they send fake responses, I do believe they have fake profiles but I have been successful using the site... Unfortunately none of them worked out.. In my opinion, Roomster is just as much of a gamble as CL but, Craigslist won't charge you.

Dear all brother roomster.com is not a spam. Because if roomster would become a spam then roomster.com never refund the customers money. But many of the customer got his money back. Roomster want to business in market.I love roomster.com.So I tell everyone roomster is great.

I'm looking for a room and actually just tripped over this site. I'll have to learn more about it; I didn't know that payment was involved and assume it's only for those offering a space that pays. Anyway, I sent off a few emails to likely candidates and recieved no responses. It also appears to be the same ads all the time; nothing new since early February (when I found the site). Not much of a business model...
