Ricoh USA Printer and bookbinder relocation

I have been trying to get a lease assumption and equipment relocation since April 2023. The account was finally handled in June 2023 after numerous attempts of status updates. Finally received notification from relocation company that it would be delivered before July 5th. It was promised from Ricoh sales & account associates that it would be delivered before July 1st, due to a contracted job that needed to be completed before July 1st. Relocation company showed up unannounced at the previous business residence to "pickup" equipment. However, the Ricoh work order only had the printer for pickup, not both machines and the young man could not take equipment alone, it's a 2000lb printer! He left with no equipment and never heard anything back from Ricoh after numerous calls and emails. Received email days later from shipping company that only the printer will be picked up sometime before July 24th which is unacceptable. I lost money on 1 contracted job and cannot afford to lose the next contract due Aug 1st. Ricoh has already sent a bill for a printer I don't even have in my possession. This company has terrible customer support. I keep getting case numbers after filing complaints almost daily and not 1 Ricoh representative has reached out to solve these issues in over a week. Cannot speak to any supervisors. Was given a disconnected phone of 1 manager.

This is the worst company I have ever done business with. This issue has been going on since the middle of April. All email conversations have been documented for my protection as well as for proof. Issue still not resolved July 3rd 2023.

Desired outcome: Contact SupervisorsEquipment relocated immediately

Ricoh USA Ricoh Ri 1000

I purchased this machine in April 2021, from the beginning it has been issues, I never signed a contract for this particular model, the contract i signed was for an embroidery machine that was on back order my sales rep was supposed to send me one via email and never obliged, the machine appeared to function well for the first month and then I started getting various maintenance codes, when I contacted customer service I was given the run around for a whole year with regards to any warranties and instructed to purchase new parts out of pocket eg. ink cartridges, unit slots, maintenance station, print head, CTL board, cleaning solution, I ended up spending an estimated additional $5,000 and the machine still doesn't work, I asked technical support could they send out a field tech to my home to assess the machine, I was informed that that service was not available to me, I was unaware when purchasing the machine that I would be responsible for troubleshooting and repairs as I am not a trained professional, I have invested over $20,000 into this company and have not made any money as the machine is not functioning properly, I have no choice but to seek legal services and began a civil lawsuit against this company for the return of my money and any collateral damage caused thereof.

Desired outcome: Replace the machine, or 100% reimbursement

Ricoh USA Management

The supervisor and management at Ricoh warehouse located in Rialto, CA is a lazy and inappropriate man. Frank Sanchez fires people who work hard, regardless of that if you miss for any reason even if valid he will fire you. He stays on his phones and chit chats all day and stares down at his employees especially the females. He cusses at his employees and makes inappropriate comments. Also many people car were broken into or robbed just like myself and nothing was done to help us.

Ricoh USA Service Contracts

Why You Should Never Do Business with Ricoh USA, Ricoh Business Solutions, or Ricoh Americas Corporation Ricoh is a highly unethical company, which bills their customers by meter usage, as opposed to billing you a set price per month for supplies and services. What Ricoh does is offer a trial period for the use of their office machines, to potential new customers. When a customer decides they do not want to move forward with Ricoh and not sign a service contract for the new machine(s), Ricoh picks up the machine(s), takes the machine, with usage already on it, now, from the trial customer, cleans the machine(s) up at their warehouse, and then resale it as a brand new, never used machine. Remember, the machine(s) now have usage on them from the previous customer. When an unsuspecting customer purchases the machine(s), and signs a new contract with Ricoh for Service, they are later billed an exorbitant amount for copies they never made on the so-called new machines. Ricoh trains their installers (techs), to enter a very low start reading for billing, even though the machine(s) may have thousands of copies on the used machine, which were made by a previous customer, during a trial period. Any customer, who has only one, or two machines would see this scam right away and would call in to dispute the charges. However, a larger customer, with maybe 10, or more machines, would never catch the over charges and will be billed unknowingly, being ripped off by Ricoh. The company has thousands of large customers, whom they bill these exorbitant amounts of money for copies the customer never even made. Another way they rip off their customers is that they will not enter an actual reading for a customer with, say a 2, 000 base allowance. What Ricoh does is have their billing agents enter the same meter reading as the previous month, while the customer's actual reading is steadily going up daily. When the customer is billed three or four billing cycles later, it looks like they went over their 2, 000 base allowances, but in reality, they didn't. This leads unsuspecting customers to increase their base allowance, thus increasing the amount of money they pay per month for supplies and service. Yet, here's another way Ricoh rips off its customers. Whenever a customer leases equipment from Ricoh, they are billed from two separate entities. One is Ricoh Americas Corporation, which handles the leasing aspect of the account. The other is Ricoh USA, which handles the supplies and services of the account. Whenever a customer wants to cancel their lease agreement, Ricoh never comes to pick up the equipment. This leads the customer to continue to be billed for equipment they have requested to be canceled and picked up. Customer usually ends up in collections, and rejecting charges Ricoh refuses to remove from their account. This usually ruins the customer's credit. Finally, here's another way Ricoh rips off its customers. Each Ricoh machine is tagged with an Equipment ID number (EID) and a Serial Number. When a customer calls in for supplies or services, they are asked for their EID, and or, Serial Number. Ricoh will delete, or change the EID, or Serial Number in the database, so that when the customer calls in for supplies or service, they are told they do not have a contract with Ricoh, as their number is not in the system. The customer usually ends up waiting for days, if not weeks trying to get service for a machine, on a service agreement they are paying for monthly. You should never sign a contract with Ricoh, as it is extremely difficult to have them removed leased equipment off of your premises. The reason for this is because Ricoh measures its net worth by the amount of machines they have out in the field at customers' locations. The more machines they appear to have out in the field, the more valuable they appear to be to investors. A Ricoh sales rep will make many promises, which they cannot keep, as they do not control Ricoh's policies. You have all rights to terminate any misleading contract you sign with them if you have experienced this with your Ricoh account(s). Contact you legal department, or lawyer, should you have any issues dealing with Ricoh.

I HAVE BEEN HARASSED WITH PHONE CALLS REGARDING PAST DUE BILLS, WHICH WE HAVE NONE. THIS LAST CALL WE SUPPOSEDLY WERE LOOKING AT THE EXACT SAME INVOICE (COMPARED INVOICE NUMBERS) AND HIS SAID 402.55, MINE SAID 229.00 WAS DUE. THEN HE ASKED WHY WE WERE BEHIND. THE INVOICE DUE DATE WAS 5/16/15 AND THE CK WAS SENT ON 5/13/15. THE CALL CAME ON 5/18/15. I ACTUALLY HAD THE SAME GUY CALL ABOUT THIS "PAST DUE INVOICE" 2 WEEKS AGO. I THINK HE IS LOOKING AT THE STATEMENT DATE NOT THE DUE DATE. IF I DIDN'T LIKE THE CONVENIENCE THAT OUR ALL IN ONE GIVES US I WOULD HAVE DROPPED THEM LIKE A HOT POTATO. IF I RECEIVE ONE MORE CALL I WILL.

Ricoh USA Poor Product Design and Price

I purchased a Ricoh SP 112SU Multifunction B/W Laser Printer by Ricoh on-line on Black Friday via Adorama.com. This product may cost around $50, but the starter cartridge only produces about 200 pages and a regular cartridge costs $43 and produces around 1, 200 pages. This is ridiculous. You are paying for the printer OVER AND OVER AGAIN! I tried to get a refund, but they told me to call the manufacturer. I had called the manufacturer in my hometown where there are numerous sales offices and they did not actually sell any replacement cartridges or anything for that matter. I went to Office Depot, I called several different stores, Microcenter, every printer cartridge carrier I could find in the entire KC METRO AREA and no one had any. The one's they could order ranged from $43 to $65 for a cartridge that produces 1, 200 pages. This is a RIP-OFF. Do not buy this product. They specialize in high end commercial office printers, this printer is a financial money pit. Buyer beware both to this product and to it's seller.

Ricoh USA Ricoh rip off! Why you should never do business with them

Why You Should Never Do Business with Ricoh USA, Ricoh

Ricoh is a hard nose rip off company, which bill their
customers by meter usage, as opposed to billing you a set price per month for

What Ricoh

Ricoh and not sign a service contract for the new machine(s), Ricoh picks up
the machine(s), takes the machine, with usage already on it, now, from the

have requested to be canceled and picked up.
Customer usually ends up in collections, disputing charges Ricoh refuses
to remove from their account. This usually ruins the customer’s credit.

Finally, here’s another way Ricoh rips off its customers.
Each Ricoh machine is tagged with an Equipment ID number (EID) and a Serial
Number. When a customer calls in for supplies or services, they are asked for
their EID, and or, Serial Number. Ricoh will delete, or change the EID, or

or service, they are told they do not have a contract with Ricoh, as their
number is not in the system. The customer usually ends up waiting for days, if
not weeks trying to get service for a machine, on a service agreement they are

You should never sign a contract with Ricoh, as it is
extremely difficult to have them removed leased equipment off of your premises.
The reason for this is because Ricoh measures its net worth by the amount of
machines they have out in the field at customers’ locations. The more machines
they appear to have out in the field, the more valuable they appear to be to
investors.

You have all rights to terminate any misleading contract you
sign with them if you have experienced this with your Ricoh account(s). Contact
you legal department or lawyer should you have any issues dealing with Ricoh.

I hope this helps. Good luck on the decisions you make.

Ricoh USA No customer service

This is a horrible company. They assumed my copier machine lease contract from 'Lanier'. They implemented additional charges whenever they could. Attempts at communicating them were futile. The appearance of a national company gives the reality of always a voice mail to simply leave messages. I leased a machine, paid for the machine to be serviced and when it broke down, the company refused to service it. Wait, refuse to service is too kind of words... they would not answer the phone so that I can tell them to service the machine.

Upon the expiration of the lease, now they are available for contact. They tried to strong arm me into extended a previously negotiated fixed term lease.

Their business practices involve 'nickel and diming' and then being evasive and elusive when they are asked to do something.

I have run a business for 18 years and this is the first time I have ever voiced a complaint about a company. I have dealt with many negative situations but this company has been systematice in their [what I think is] deceptive practices.

separate entities. One is Ricoh Americas Corporation, which handles the leasing
aspect of the account. The other is Ricoh USA, which handles the supplies and
services of the account. Whenever a
customer wants to cancel their lease agreement, Ricoh never comes to pick up
the equipment. This leads the customer to continue to be billed for equipment
they have requested to be canceled and picked up. Customer usually ends up in collections,
disputing charges Ricoh refuses to remove from their account. This usually
ruins the customer’s credit.

Finally, here’s another way Ricoh rips off its customers.
Each Ricoh machine is tagged with an Equipment ID number (EID) and a Serial
Number. When a customer calls in for supplies or services, they are asked for
their EID, and or, Serial Number. Ricoh will delete, or change the EID, or
Serial Number in the database, so that when the customer calls in for supplies
or service, they are told they do not have a contract with Ricoh, as their
number is not in the system. The customer usually ends up waiting for days, if
not weeks trying to get service for a machine, on a service agreement they are
paying for monthly.

I agree, I leased 2 copiers under a contract with Lanier the contracts ended 3/2009. Ricoh was notified via mail and there representative not to renew the contract and remove the machines from my offices. It never happened they continued to bill me, I continued to make calls and send letters to resolve the issue. December 2010 I got a final demand letter for $6, 431.82. I refuse to pay, I'm getting rude phone calls from a collection agency who has all the documents supporting my claim. My next step is to charge Ricoh for insurance and storage of the machines. Horriable company.

Ricoh USA Bad, bad, bad mechanical design!

I have had nothing but problems with my Ricoh R-series camera's and will NEVER buy another one from them. Their service is appalling. The customer is definitely NOT king, never right and does not know how to handle the camera or take pictures... Ricoh never makes mistakes(!), the products are flawless(!) and never fail to operate! I am on my third (!) R-series camera and are appalled by the performance of the lens. The ONLY reason I bought this camera is the huge 7x optical zoom. After frequent use I notice grinding sounds and before you know it the lens locks up. Mechanically. It protrudes/extends and then gets stuck, it can not go back. For my first camera they replaced the lens system, but since then it failed again...

There were also many problems. For instance the inability to focus properly (many images close or far were way out of focus even though it indicated it was in focus when taking the picture). The flash was mostly completely oversaturate washing out most pictures (way too bright). It was impossible to use the flash when selecting macro. This would produce 90% pure white pictures... I have had many emails to the Ricoh service center in Japan and always was told that I was at fault, I did not know how to use the camera. The nerve! Furthermore they never admitted there was anything wrong with the camera, but a search on-line brought up many, many people with similar issues. Apparently no one knows how to use it! Why is it then that Ricoh introduced a new camera every few months in '07 to replace the previous model? Apparently they knew something more... like that their camera's did have serious flaws.

Well... they still do, the mechanics of the lens system sucks (excuse the language), after each use it leaves a fine ground powder dust behind inside the camera from the plastic parts that constantly rub up against each other and allow it to build up to 1) cause dust inside the lens, showing up on pictures, that can not be cleaned and 2) an inevitable mechanical brake down of the lens mechanical system that gets caught in too much build up debris.

I spend 3 times $350 per camera and have three pieces of junk laying around. No. They'll be in the trashcan soon...

Ricoh USA Discrimination!

CONFLICT OF INTEREST SEE HR525relatives Kim Szedeli, manager, is Amanda Long's step-mother. Amanda reports directly to her and was recently promoted to an AR Coordinator. DISCRIMINATION AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT. SEE HR225 harassment

Amanda Long and Crystal Beckwith openly grab each other and have been told to keep their hands on the table when seated next to each other. Crystal Beckwith verbally shares her sexual conquests daily and is heard by supervisors, yet never disciplined. They laugh.

Also Crystal Beckwith lies on her time sheet in regard to hours worked. She was caught printing obscene pictures during normal work hours, not on break or lunchtime, and never disciplined. Hostile Work environment.

Ricoh has yet to contact us with a resolution and/or return of funds. Poor Contact from ANYONE in management/accounting. Going on 5 months.
