Riccar vaccum / sales practices
The retailer where I bought my vacuum does not post any prices. I was quoted a price for the RLS3 and the RLS4 and was told that both "come with the cannister". I selected the 2-speed vacuum. When I got home, I found that I had the 1-speed vacuum. I called the retailer and he said that the price was more with the cannister. After contacting the Better Busiuness Bureau, I found that this retailer has an unsatisfactory rating. The BBB suggest that I also tell Riccar about my problem becasue they may want a first-hand account of a retailer with such a record. Riccar does not care. I even received a rude e-mail from Alison Bolton of Riccar America stating that the models are color coded so that I should have known that it was a different model and that "the deal that you got clearly falls within normal pricing parameters." As a consumer, my only source of information is the retialer. There are no prices listed anywhere on the Riccar website.
