Residential Electric / He will not take our calls or return any messages.
My home lost power in half of the house. We were scheduled to have people over on the same day and needed an Electrician to diagnose our problem.
The electrician that we called was Residential Electric and he came to our home, stating that he need $50 and that would go toward the final cost and tell us what the problem is.
He came out looked at our fuse box and said that was the problem, then he came back 2 days later and said that the fuse box was fine (Mind you when he came over, he was only here for an hour). 12-15-07
The second time he came over he tested the fuse box again and said that the fuse box was FINE. This time he was nice enough to stay and look for the problem for 20 minutes. He came to the conclusion that the problem was the junction boxs in the attic. 12-18-07
The third time he came over he climbed in the attic for 10 minutes and said that the junction boxs were fine and he was not sure of the problem. He assured us that we were NOT in anyway in danger of a fire. This was something he repeatedly said to me, my wife, and son. 12-20-07
After being without power (in half of our house) for almost a week, we decided to call someone else. The new electrician came to our house on 12-21-07 and found the problem within 15 minutes. He told us that the wires had melted in the wall and there was a danger of fire..
After we paid the Good Electrician his money we called Residential Electric back for a refund. He told us repeatedly at the beginning of the whole ordeal that the $50 payment was to find the problem, give us an estimate and go toward the final billing.
1) He could not find the problem
2) He could not give us an estimate
3) He could not offer a final bill.
He had the nerve to cash my check and tell me he was not going to refund us our money. Before he cashed the check, we called him and left a message telling him we needed to talk about the money and the problem he need found. After I talked to him and I got no were, my wife called him and he said that he would have us a refund check in our hand by 12-28-07. It never happened and he will not take our calls or return any messages.
