ResCare / BrightSpring Health Services Final Paycheck

I left the company after my supervisor questioned staff about where all the bread had gone (cheap white bread at that, in a group home for girls with eating disorders, and one pregnant), without first checking the menu to see they had asked us to serve the clients sandwiches the day before and french toast two days prior and had served it to the clients as directed. I kindly and respectfully spoke up to explain this, another employee supported my explanation, and the supervisor continued with a personal attack against me. I worked one more shift and then submitted my letter of resignation to her and her manager requesting no further contact with my supervisor. According to company policy first and last paychecks are printed, regardless of the fact all others are direct deposited. My last check was given to my supervisor and I never received it. When I contacted HR I was emailed an affidavit to sign before a replacement check would be issued. It indicated I would take lawful responsibility of the missing check so I refused to sign it. I sent them a modified affidavit stating I would return the missing check if ever I received it and if they chose NOT to replace my check they had a week to send me whatever documentation they would be providing the government documenting my earnings. I did finally receive my replacement check. Know your state laws. They have to follow them. I can't past the link here or I would, but you can google them. ResCare clients deserve a well supported staff. We work for pennies to support and care for them. We should be able to receive our pennies. Those kids have had a lifetime of abuse. If you think they can't sense the abuse and tension the company causes the staff, you are fools. It is with deep sadness and regret that I post this complaint. I finally received my paycheck. I hope others do as well. If these "human services" type companies truly want to help them, start by being human to your employees. Peace, love, and understanding is a good place to start. Not by dehumanizing and criminalizing. Peace.

I have worked for them for a short time now. They issue paper checks to me and the last 3 out of 4 checks they have lost and taken their time to reissue to me. This last check is still missing and now no follow up emails or phone calls from the payroll dept to myself or my supervisor. I don't understand how they continuously lose my check...

ResCare / BrightSpring Health Services Shawna Burrowes

Shawna Burrowes is one of the supervisors at Workforce Solutions of Dallas located on Alpha and Preston Rd. I have had encounters with her for the last five years that have caused me to have red flags. The whole purpose of her position is to help people get employment and also help them advance their skills and get them registered for classes under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). On several occasions I have called Shawna Burrowes for information regarding WIA and other unemployment matters. Each time she would withhold information or lie to me in my face and over the phone. She is very manipulative and deceitful. When I first had to submit my paper work to her in 2009, she stated that she would sign me up for a healthcare program so I could get my medical billing license. I submitted all the paper work and discovered that she did not enroll me in the program.

Fast forward to 2014, she is now a supervisor and still practices deception and dodges questions rather than performing her job in a professional manner.. She comes across as a biased, prejudiced, pretentious, and immature woman who just sits in her office just to get a salary and go home. You cannot ask her a direct question without her snide and passive-aggressive retorts, insinuations, and innuendos.

She acts as if she is oblivious to her employees lack of professional at the Workforce office. If any client dares complains she writes up a report about you in your log. Its her way or the highway. She manages her office in dysfunction and inconsistency. I look forward to the day her higher management discovers all the lies, and under handed deceptive practices she has been doing for the last five and plus years.

ResCare / BrightSpring Health Services Issue of paycheck

I started to work for ResCare in Rock Hill SC in September of 2011. I worked there up until May 10 2012. I transferred over to the Marietta OH facility on May 18 2012. Today of June 8 2012 I was supposed to get a pay check. They told me that they didn't have a check for me and tried to blame my former Superviser for me not having a check when it was there responsiblity to pay me for the hours I have worked.

ResCare / BrightSpring Health Services poor management

I was working for this company they were crown homecare when i applied everything was great cuz Giselle was no longer there she had a badd attitude n didn't know how to talk to ppl, anyways when rescare a big company bought them out there were good changes like Gwen and a girl named Heidi. Gwen would always be busy cuz she was the manager so I got to meet Heidi, Heidi was so sweet n nice to me resolved all my problem. But later gwen was gone n Heidi would be the only one helping me out. In 2011 I found out Heidi was not there anymore my pay was not accurate and Chae replaced Heidi she doesn't know how to talk to people and Kim don't speak English they told me that there was not work unless I spoke Korean I was like this is America everyone speaks English, so they have not gotten my pay right and Abrahim tells me everything is okay when its not well don't apply here unless your Korean cause that's all this homecae has become so don't was your time applying here . They had a great employee Heidi and she was Spanish and spoke good English and had great people skills which this office doesn't have anymore so go to BG's and apply I wish thay got rid of Kim. Also their patients don't get the service that they request. The patients get no follow up calls like they used to this company this no good take your family to another homecare.

I had an appointment with one of the Rescare workforce manager and I thought it was with my case manager (Heather Faubion). My case manager is extremely rude and when I first did the agreement stuff I saw her talking to other client and she was extremely rude and I was hoping that I wouldn't get her but I did. I now don't want anything to do with her anymore because of how rude she was and she didn't even try to figure out who I was trying to have an appointment with. I am now reconsidering about even joining the program because on how rude my case manager is.

I used to work for Rescare they had me sign forms that Kim never let me read she said it was Rescares policy, Ibrahim lied to me about my pay, it took about a month to get my money my patient required more hours all Rescare said sorry but Medicaid won't approve it, but they never even submitted a request. don't waste you time Ibrahim will only lie to you. Hedi on the other hand was professional with excellent customer service but she's gone and one can tell me where she went. Don't waste your time nor bring your family here.

ResCare / BrightSpring Health Services - Incompetent staff-liars

If you want to endure dealing with a totally unethical incompetent group of goofballs, then you may want to provide care services through them. THEY ARE "KID IN FOSTER CARE BROKERS" who make $ by finding placements for their poor victims-THE CHILDREN. They don't know or abide by their own company policies. The staff members spend 90% of their time on...

ResCare / BrightSpring Health Services Fraud and scam

I worked for EduCare, a subsidiary of ResCare, for almost 2 years. After a violent incident with one of the consumers I decided to work on oncall status, March 2006. At that time I called the place that was garnishing my wages to see how much I still owed. I was informed that NOTHING had been paid. My checks had been garnished since October 2005! Also 1 of my last paychecks and last 2 millage checks were lost.

When I brought this to the attention of the HR director he said he would handle it. After MANY months of having to go up to the office and inquiring about my money I received my checks in AUGUST 2006!

I was also informed in May that I was no longer an employee, since I had not worked in over a month. A policy I had never seen, nor had the new HR director. I was not asked to sign anything, and the HR director asked if I wanted to come back... LOL Ya as if!

In the time I worked at Educare, the top Administrative people were fired for embezzlement. It was reported that over a MILLION dollars was stolen. All the while, we staff could not get raises, I was not offered health insurance after going to fulltime status. One week before my wedding $600 was stolen out of my wallet. I think it was the staff I worked with. I reported it to my supervisor the day it happened and nothing was ever done. I did not get an apology, no admin staff ever questioned the clients or staff that was there that day. And that does not even begin to say what kinds of things they were doing to the clients! One example, before I left they made a rule that the clients could only shop at Wal-Mart. Even if food was cheaper at other stores. What happened to choices? And by forcing them to shop at a specific store they would have less money for activities. Truly a disgrace!

I am happy I am no longer there but I feel bad for the clients who have to live in their group homes, with undereducated and underpaid staff and no money.

Supposidly there is a 1 800 complaint number ResCare offers, but I never saw the number. If all else fails, and there are issues involving the clients, go to the clients social workers. They are legally bound to investigate all allegations of abuse and neglect. That is how they found out about the embezalling. But you would think a huge corporation would have thier own way of checks and balances, but this one obviously does not.

Can't really speak upon my issue with ResCare, but reading all of these other reviews brings alot of light of whom I've been saying I'm working for! A company that doesn't care for their clients or employees! Management all of them very unprofessional and I'm glad I'm now looking for a better job! I would not recommend this company to anyone for employment or for a loved one... All these Rescare sites need to be shut down

I am *technically* still an employee of ResCare. I was hired as a team lead at a very difficult house. I had to turn in one of my staff on a fireable offense... The staff member was put on suspension... But SO WAS I! HOW is it that I get suspended for REPORTING something that was NEGLECT?!? Isn't that what I'm SUPPOSED to do as a lead? This company is terrible... I'm working for another company, doing the same work and when I interviewed, I was told that ResCare does this to staff all the time! So I guess I'm just supposed to keep my mouth shut and let individuals be neglected... Hmmmm... Great company...

I am currently an employee for ResCare in Baton Rouge, LA. I love my job but the group home I work at duck and it's so out of order consumers need wheelchairs and they too lazy to order them for the consumer it not only but they consumers in danger but it also put staff in danger as well if we get hurt like today I hurt my back ResCare will NOT pay for workers comp.We work hard all day an not entitled to eat a meal at the home unless we bring our own food.We only get paid $8.25 per hour and have to do way to much in a Chapter 12 home because consumers not able to help us.The lead of the home doesn't care about the consumers hygiene, health, and much more. When we address situations with the home manager and lead about the consumers nothing ever get done. Its sad I wouldn't recommend no-one to work for this company.

I am a current ResCrap employee, and the way I describe my job is the "Walmart of Healthcare." We are allegedly an IRTS facility that specializes in CD/Mental Health issues. The Clinical Manager is a joke. She picks the youngest, most symptomatic of clients who could NOT possibly work in a group and doesn't care if the clients relapse, run off, etc. Why? It's all about the $$$ and keeping ### in the beds. Last weekend, over half of the clients relapsed because they let in a KNOWN meth dealer in. He was discharged, but there are still clients bringing in drugs and using on or near the property. This place is a joke, and no one cares.

Also, the management would take what little money the clients had leftover after taking all of it for housing and food that they didn't buy enough of! and spend it "for the client". One time one of the big whigs of Rescare was coming to visit so the managment freaked out and spent all the clients' money on crap like wall posters and decorations to make their bedrooms looked like they had something in them...they don't let clients buy what they want with their own money! The clients do not have very much money to begin with after RESCARE takes their cut! And RESCARE bought what RESCARE wanted with the leftover money. not what the client wanted!
