Remodeling Resource - Joe Fienga review: Monies stolen by false contractor 2

On March 3, 2008 - I (Michael J. Converso) entered into a contract with Remodeling Resources - Joe Fienga age (62) located @ 162 Cedar Crest road - Monroe, New York. After seven months of no returned phone calls from a so called scam artist Joe Fienga - AKA - Remodeling Resource. I asked to have money refunded by Fienga. Not only was I met with resistance and verbal abuse but death threats to me and my family. Here is the basics to how the contractor scam works.

THE SCAM -

A) After agreeing on a contract set forth and your down payment of ($975.00) for conceputal drawings. Fienga goes back for the remainder of $13, 975.00 to begin the project. He sends you an architect to do the drawings - in most cases falty shabby work.
B) Once you receive the drawings - Fienga is finished. WHY - you cannot go after Fienga from a criminal stand point (Fienga knows this) because he did make an effort to provide a small portion of the service (hard to prove fraud) So after 7 months of no returned phone calls, you file with an attorney - and Fienga knows what costs are involved when dealing with an attorney.
C) He is betting that you will walk away from the remainder of your monies given the high cost of legal fees. OR - Fienga starts the Job for one full week and walks away from the project with all the monies you have given him, and does not even pay the contractors who he hired. See you have to understand that Fienga has nobody but his wife working the scam. He will tell you from the beginning, that he can under cut everyone in the market because of his companies buying power and all employees on site work for Remodeling Resources. Not TRUE - This company is stricktly MARKETING - and Fienga is the piggy bank once you give him the money - don't ever expect to see it again.
D) Fienga has 27 JUDGEMENTS in Orange County - New York. So even after spending $6000.00 to go after $14, 925.00 with no guarantee to ever seeing your money again, you become JUDGEMENT #28 thats me -

As Lloyd Dorfman stated, do not use this company for anything - Fienga is nothing more than a theif who even ripped off one of his neighbors for $1, 440.00. He continues to perform under a falty contract that has no bearing what so ever. Fienga has been arrested in Westchester county for non-license contractor and aggrevated harrasemant - In New Jersey, Terrorist acts and deception of services. The list continues to grow everyday - with hard working people who have been violated by Fienga with falty dreams of remodeling their home. However, this crook is still out there praying on old people who have no clue who to turn too when he rips you off. Please call me @ [protected] if you have been a victim of Remodeling Resource.

WHO TO CALL WHEN THIS HAPPENS TO YOU?

1) Your local DA's office - they can evaluate the case to confirm fraud.
2) Attorney Generals office - gets the ball started.
3) Consumer affairs - can put fraudulant contractor on Renegade List so no other home owners use.
4) File a police report - so they have record and may contact a local detective.
5) LAST CHOICE - hire an attorney - @ $300.00 per hour it adds up fast no gurantee to getting your money back.
