Reliable Chevrolet Warranty service

Called to set up an appointment for my new car warranty service and was told I would have to leave my car for 7 days to diagnose it because they are short handed and won’t supply a loaner car leaving me without transportation. In all the years I’ve had new cars from dealerships, I’ve never been told they can’t provide service. I will never purchase a Chevrolet again.

Reliable Chevrolet My chevy tahoe right side mirror was damaged while in the care of reliable chevy while being repaired.

Picked my wife car up 11/12/2020. I was about to drive off after picking car up and realized the passenger side mirror was damaged. Called Chris the service guy out and he got his manager. He said they were going to investigate, but I need to make sure the car side right mirror is repaired. My wife car is not new but we cherish and take care of it like it is new. And definitely don't want to drive around with a broken damaged mirror. It was not like this when we had the car.

Reliable Chevrolet 2014 gmc sierra paint peeling off the rear doors and the front a pillars

I contacted my local dealership (Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield MO) and they started working on a claim with GM. They got them to cover it 50% but refused to do the work because it would cost them too much and GM wouldn't pay them enough. After making a negative online post the dealership told me to take my truck somewhere else and lied to corporate GM telling them I never cooperated with them. They said I never brought my truck in when I had the manager of the body shop look at it and take pictures. This will be the last GM vehicle I own. I know 3 other people where the paint is peeling off the rear doors right behind the window and have seen tons of post/pictures online about the same issue. But I have been told this is a rock chip. Rock chips cause a chip, not your paint to peel off of you vehicle. Do not to business with any Berkshire Hathaway Automotive (Reliable Chevrolet) companies. I called to complain to them and they told me to call the dealership.

Reliable Chevrolet Dishonesty at every level

This review is specific to Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson Texas.

Dishonesty 1, bait and switch:

I contacted my credit union and was pre-approved for an auto loan. I was told that all I needed to do was pick out a car and have the deal fax the purchase order to my credit union. I checked the credit union's web site and found a vehicle that I liked at a decent price, so I went to Reliable Chevrolet to test drive it. When I showed up, they told me that they had already sold the vehicle I wanted, but perhaps they could show me other similar vehicles. I checked over the next several days and sure enough, they did not remove the sold vehicle.

Dishonesty 2, credit union price:

I looked at a few of the "similar" offerings and I only liked one, so I test drove it. I liked the vehicle, so I asked how much it was. I was told that he couldn't tell me that until we ran a credit check and got me approved. I told him that I was pre-approved through my credit union. (Then I wondered, even if I wasn't pre-approved, shouldn't the vehicle should still have a set price?) Over the next two hours we went back and forth with me refusing to give my credit information while he kept playing that game where he needed to check something with his manager (he went and sat in the manager's office for 10-20 minutes each time - the walls are glass) and finally he had a price. He made a big production about how sweet of a deal this was and how I was going to be shocked by how low the price was. He showed me a paper that said the Blue Book value was $22500, then said the Reliable Chevrolet price was ONLY $17500! WOW! I told him several times during this 2 hours that I needed to get back to work. He kept saying that he wanted to talk to his manager again and kept lowering the price, eventually coming down to $14500..."and that's GM Certified, with a 12 mnonth, 12, 000 mile warranty!" he said as he wrote CERTIFIED in big black letters on the offer sheet. It got to the point where I had to be more forcefull and say "I REALLY want to think about it, can I please have my keys back so I can get back to work?" (He had taken my keys earlier to get my trade-in appraised and was holding them through this whole ordeal). When I got back to work, I went to my credit union's web site and the car was listed at $14995, NOT $17500.

Dishonesty 3, warranty:

The next day, I printed out the credit union page which listed the vehicle, (including the VIN) and drove to Reliable Chevrolet to ask why they said they were practically giving the vehicle away at $17500 when the price listed on my credit union web site was $14995? I told them I would do the deal for 14000. They played the "let me talk to my manager" game a couple more times, then came back and said, "He'll do the deal for $14250". I said ok, I'm not going to haggle for the next 5 hours over $250, so I agreed and the manager and I both initialed the offer sheet. Then the salesman goes to the manager's office for a while and when he came back, he said, "You know that price is not Certified, right?" And I said, "No, it says "CERTIFIED" in big black letters on that sheet we both initialed. So the salesman turned and went back into the sales manager's office. Eventually he came back with "No warranty" sheets, so I left. The salesman called me back about 4 hours later and said that there was a misunderstanding about the waranty and that I would be getting the 12 months/12, 000 miles.

Dishonesty 4, financing:

I made it clear from the start that I had been pre-approved by my credit union and I wanted to use them. I didn't want to use anyone else, and I didn't want Reliable to even run my credit because I don't want unnecessary inquiries on my credit report. Nevertheless, the man in the business office at Reliable Chevrolet - after I expressly forbid him to run my credit and get a rate through anyone else - ran it anyway. He tried to sell me about 6 different services and which I declined. He did the paperwork, and I was looking at the dollar amounts and the interest rate, I wasn't looking at the lender name because like I said, I made it abundantly clear that I ONLY wanted to use my credit union. Well, I got my paperwork in the mail Saturday and then lender was NOT my credit union. Even though the other finance company gave me the same rate and the same terms, I don't care, Reliable Chevrolet has no right to change my lender!

In the end, I am happy with the car I got for the price I fought for, but their actions were annoying, deceitful and possibly illegal.

Reliable Chevrolet They are not willing to help if there is an issue with a car

I have a car that I can not lock the doors to. I just made my first payment (12/15/09) and this is the 3rd issue I've had with this car. I've dealt with Mark, Joe Merritt and allen Yates all that are unwilling to fix the issues that came with this car. I was told by Mark that "Reliable does not sale bad cars". However, the 6 disc changer didn't work when I bought the car. I was told by Clint(my sales guy) they would fix this, they did but they only put in a regular cd player. The cataylyic converter went out. I had to 2 off work 2 saturdays in a row to get this fixed. I had to argue with the service department ( Brent Lewelleyn) to get this fixed. Now 1 week later I have the key pad that does not work. I can't get the 2nd key to car to manually lock/unlock the doors. I am limited to where I can go because I can't lock the doors. Phones calls are ignored by Both Joe Merritt and Mark in Sales. They are NOT willing to help if there is an issue with a car. Mark told me that he didn't want to agree for the service department to fix the catalyic converter because he knew i would be back with other issues. I advised him I have an extended warranty and refused to pay anything for an issue that came with the car. Remembering he states his company does nto sale bad cars. I'm counting down the time that I can get rid of this lemon. Please believe I will NEVER advise anyone to get a Pontiac. Especially from Reliable Chevrolet.

Reliable Chevrolet Deceptive Trade Practices/Switch and Bait?

Salesman offered van for sale Tuesday and would hold to look at Wednesday. To come and look at this vehicle we would have to travel 180 miles with a handicapped mother. Upon arriving Thursday we were informed that van was loaned out earlier that week but had a higher priced one to look at. Asked to look at one promised and stated they had to loan van for suv that was sold earlier that week and the suv was not ready for lady and she was upset with Reliable, why was suv not loaned out. Told loaned van would be in on Saturday and would be in at 3pm. When called at 3 that we could not get off work until just after 3 and would be there at 6-7pm, they commented that the van to be held had just been sold, but they had a little higher van for sale, but did not have it ready, but it would be ready by the time we got here. We arrived at 6:30pm. A salesperson went to get the key and returned stating that the other van had also been sold. The Used Truck Salesmanager, Kevin sent another sales person to explain because he was so busy. He stated he could not hold a vehicle when he had a sale in front of him, this is business. My sister commented they had lied 3 times to us and it should be called Un-Reliable Chevrolet. At end sales manager stated he wanted security to ensure we were off the lot. Who commited the wrong? Where is the consumers security to ensure a persons word is honored? We are out 7 hours of driving and over $100 dollars in fuel to look at a vehicle they stated would be available.

Reliable Chevrolet Stealing My Money

On June 11, 2009 I went to Big Lot Reliable Chevrolet, to look at a truck, and put 500 hundred down so they ordered a truck from a different dealership, The truck came in and it had the wrong interior so I said that wont work for me. I wanted dark interior. So I said just forget it for now. They tried to get me to order another truck but I said no, because I was waiting on the bank to get approved for a loan. That was on Saturday the 13 of June. Then the wrong truck came in. So on Monday I called them and said forget the whole thing because my work was laying off people. So I found out later that they cashed my check, that was on a Thursday, I went to Big Lots to get my money and they said that they wernt going to give it back. They said I signed a contract, all it was, was a Finance Payment Options. so I took it to a lawyer and they said its not a contract at all. I went back to Big Lots and told them that Finance Payment Options was not a contract and they still wouldnt give me my money back, so I am still fighting them today to get my money back, I feel they are trying to force me to buy a truck. Has anyone had any problems like this?

"I was waiting on the bank to get approved for a loan."

WTF?

Why did you give them $500 if you couldn't get a loan? Are you on meth?

These things happen in the auto business. You declined just because of an interior color? Are you a woman?

Get the anger out of your system. If you cannot afford a truck or aren't sure you can get a loan, you shouldn't be putting money down on a truck.

Get a life. Go now and stop your whining. You got exactly what you deserved, chump.

My ordeal started around June 6, 2009. I had a very good offer from City Chevrolet in Oklahoma City ( I should have taken it ) and thought I would compair prices local. I had heard BAD STORIES abour reliable chevrolet "BUT" I thought it could't be that bad. OH LITTLE DID I KNOW. I have been splitting hairs with them all this time. On July 5, 2009 GM offered NO INTREST FOR 72 MONTHS. The sale was for 72 hrs. I was told by Bradon Woods, & Ray ? that I qulified for the loan. We split hairs once again, come to an agreement, went into the fianace dept., signed papers, gave them a check for $2500.00, AND I HAVE BEEN WAITING EVER SENCE FOR MY TRUCK. The finace "MGR", Brent, will not return my calls, or the salesmen.
This place is a CURCIS, and these guys are clowns, CURRILY, MOE & LARRY better known as LIAR, CHEAT & INCOMPETENT.
TODAY IS 7/10/2009, I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM CURRLY( fiance dept), so icalled THE 2ND IN COMAND, talked to him and a few minuets later a guy named Tony calls @ 3:59 pm and says he will get to the bottom of this and call me back in "ONE HOUR". Its now ten till six.NO CALLS, NO TRUCK, NO MONEY, NO PATIENCE.
I've got an idea, ALL THE PEOPLE WHO FEEL THEY HAVE BEEN SHAFTED BUY THIS DEALERSHIP AND THE SALES PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE A MEETING. IF INTRESTED EMAIL ME AT ashbyashby@mchsi.com

Reliable Chevrolet Phone harassment, lying, unacceptable service

My wife and I visited reliable Chevrolet for a test-drive. A sales clerk, Adriana, asked for our phone number and I told her I did not want to give it to them, as I did not want to receive sales calls.

She then said her manager told her that she could not take us on a test drive without the number as they needed them for "safety". I said I would give it only if they guaranteed I would receive no sales calls, which she guaranteed. I then gave her both my cell number and my wife’s. The next day we received a call from their sales department and we asked them not to call us again. Over the next week we received over 6 calls. On one occasion we spoke with Adriana again and reminded her what she promised us and asked her not to call. On each occasion we actually spoke with someone, they assured us they would not call back. However they keep calling. Therefore I went back in and spoke directly with Scott Lewis, the New Car Director, and told him not to call us again. He assured me they would not. Since that time nearly 2 weeks ago they have called and left messages three times. Earlier today I received another call from a sales associate, told him not to call again and told them I would report it to the Better Business Bureau. I feel that Reliable Chevrolet acquired my phone number fraudulently by blatantly lying to me and is now, by continuing to call over and over again, harassing my wife and I. We have received over 10 calls on our two phone numbers. This is unacceptable and I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau.

Worked there for quite awhile. Sounds typical. In my opinion Reliable Chevrolet should NEVER be trusted with personal information. If you want your personal info. kept private then don't give it to them!
