Regional Acceptance Vehicle pay off

Traded vehicle that was financed with Regional Acceptance on 9-4-2021.
Have received numerous calls each day since [protected] for past due payment.
Dealership that sent pay off check to Regional Acceptance has tracking # and signature of payment being accepted. According to Regional, they have not received the check. They will not offer any solution, they will only keep calling wanting us to make payment.
I have had no luck what so ever contacting or being contacted by management.
DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

Regional Acceptance Car loan

My car was stolen, on 7/25/20, it was totaled, police at my door at 2 am, I was 63 yrs old at the time, this was devastating, the police have a witness, and a camera shot of the suspects, I have Usaa ins, they covered everything, gave me 13, 000 I paid to Regional, I had also purchased gap insurance at the time of sale, I still had the documents and the gap contract, gap paid there part and said I was paid in full, Regional still wants 8500.00 from me, I paid 16.9 percent interest, in 2018, I was laid off due to transfer of job from Norfolk to Denver, I deferred some payments, however Regional states Gap doesn't cover deferred payments, I looked at the contract I signed, Gap states no such thing! I took this to an attorney and he told me I owed nothing, mind you they already been paid about $11, 000 more than the purchase price, what everyone should know is Regional and the Dealership share the high interest commission, I feel they are taking advantage of Senior Citizens, and will take this to court if I have to refinance my house. Stay away from Regional Acceptance and their dealerships, mine s Tysinger Hyundai, in Virginia

Regional Acceptance Principle is still the same for a year after paying the same payment

Purchased the Dodge in 2016 with payments 0f 400.00 a month. Yes we have extended a couple of payments during the loan but we have paid so much money into this vehicle that almost 5 years into the loan we still owe over 16, 000. in one year the needle has not even moved in the balance in one year. So my 400.00 payments have not even touched the balance. I have been asking for a payment history and it has been taki g months to get it. I now have over 200, 000 miles on my vehicle and this loan is supposed to be paid off in 2023. This is a rip off.
My hard earned money if 400.00 is going all to interest and nothing to principal.

Desired outcome: Fix it or lawyer

Had the same happen to me. I finally told them to come and get their car cause I will never own it anyway. The woman kind of laughed and set up a pick up time and I got to work swapping out my brand new tires off it for used ones. They took it to auction and I figured I was done with these scam artist. NO NO NO. They kept calling everyday and kept getting notices from them in the mail. My absolute advice to anyone wanting to finance a vehicle through this company is "DON'T DO IT!"

Regional Acceptance credit reporting false negative balance

I had a total loss on my vehicle and my gap insurance is in process of paying the remaining balance of the vehicle off and regional acceptance is aware of this and we were waiting on THEIR RESPONCE .. regional didn't send all supporting documents to the gap insurance . (reason for the delay ) and are still reporting me negative on my account to the credit bureaus which has brought my credit down 40 points! this is unacceptable !

Desired outcome: remove the past due credit report

I hope you didn’t defer any payments, they state Gap doesn’t pay for deferred payments, that accrue interest back to the date of deferral, when nowhere in my Gap documents is that Stated, between my insurance and Gap, Gsp says no balance due, Regional states other wise, I wish you luck

Regional Acceptance Rip Off Company!

They are the biggest rip off company since Santander. After suing me and lying saying they served me they continue to report an amount on my credit report after getting a judgment for a different amount. This company needs to be put out of business. How can you get a fraudulent judgement but continue to report a different amount as late when it has been chArged off for several years. Currently have a lawyer fighting the is crazy judgement.

Regional Acceptance auto loan

I get called after 10 pm repeatedly by Regional Acceptance Corp. My address is correct on my account and if they don't know how to find a time zone then they shouldn't be calling people. This has happened 3 nights in a row. All of my contact information is correct and a simple search of my area code or address would tell them what time zone I'm in to avoid calls after I am already in bed.

Regional Acceptance collections

I bought my car on May 25, 2018. I was promised a payment of no more than $350, instead it was $458.
I was also promised that payment date would be on the 28th of every month, instead it was the 9th.
I was told there was nothing that could be done about the amount of the payment, even though they knew my limit because my income is only social security.
They said if I made the first payment on the 9th, they would then move it to the 28th. But they didn't do that. Then in January, 2019 they agreed to move it, but only to the 24th, which meant my payment would still be late some months.
I got behind a month, as right now my payment which was due April 24 has not yet been paid. The phone calls and emails start the day after a due date if not paid. These calls are 7 days a week, and even on Sunday they start as early as 7 am and continue until at least 9 pm. If they do not get you, they email you telling you to call. They disturb me during church and do not care. I was ill a couple months ago and my daughter let them know I was in the hospital and had surgery but they still called my phone non stop..

Regional Acceptance car loan

I have been paying $560 a month and sending extra for over 7 years for my now ten year old BMW. Next month should be my last loan payment should be one month yet I owe them almost 10k still on a car that was 23k eight years ago. I now have to hope I can trade this car in or will be forced to have it repoed. No way do I have that extra cash or can even understand how I still owe that much money! I deferred my payments years ago when I was out of work...I guess that equals somehow to 10k almost in interest and late feed?!

Regional Acceptance financing

My maturity date is over in 2019 but I now have to pay a year past my maturity because of interest fees and 4 extentions on monthly payments. I never knew or was told that asking for extra few days to make monthly payments would extend my contract. I'll be out of contract with 5500 of interest fees I'm current makes no sense. I asked to get statements sent to me but because of my situation I was told no I have to call them with any questions.

Regional Acceptance financing fraud sign by interest liable by the customer. apr is unbelievably high soooo'

I finance my 2009 Hyundai Sonata V6 from Regional Acceptance Corporation for five years. Being very knowledgeable of economics most Financier rate by 1% never taking the amount (How much) it's the American way I love it and play the game. Regional Acceptance Corporation has filed Bankruptcy and is closed. Why the corporation is closed thus releasing my contract the same scam was played on myself.

I am filing this complaint because I have become very worried about how regional acceptance is managing my loan. In the past I was affected by covid because my previous job was eliminated due to covid so they told me that they were going to put payments on the back of the loan then I had to do it again because I have lost another job and so months and months have gone by they never said anything to me about I was past due because I was paying my monthly payment and then I noticed recently when I got a call this was back in mid-august I got a call saying that I owed a payment from the previous December and I told the lady how ludicrous that was and that never showed up on my printout nor did they mention it to me until I asked for another payment to be put on the back of the loan because of my financial challenges so here I get a call from a lady today which is October 26th 2021 saying that I owe an extra month and the two months that I'd previously spoken with her about were supposed to be put on the back of the loan therefore owing a regular payment on $10.26-21 and I'm starting to get nervous because either these people don't know how to count or they messed up and they're not trying to reconcile with me they just want to tell me that what I owe so I think there's a lack of integrity here and honesty because there is no car place in this country that is going to let you owe from December and not mention it and this is October so at this point I am a little nervous about dealing with these people so I'm just looking for some resolution and I'm looking for some integrity as to how my account is handled you know it's one thing to hear a person say oh we made a mistake we didn't calculate this and we're sorry we're going to correct it then for someone to hide behind a mistake and then try to make me think I'm crazy I don't appreciate that so I'm trying to find some assistance with advocacy and getting the straightened out.

The the staff regional acceptance staff told me that they would print out my entire pay history and send it to me so I asked her to do that today and she said that they would do that so I'm waiting on those documents so I can get some help here on getting this resolved I love my truck I just need to know that I'm dealing with honest people.

Regional Acceptance business and finance department

My name is shekil rose I have a loan with regional acceptance they told me that they will garnishment My check if I have a Job I told them that I can't afford to pay My car note no more because I only received social security disability and they are not willing to work with me on my loan agreement I even also asked them if I can used My car insurance check to get caught up and they also said no they Will not do it that way I'm am a disability person that is on social security benefits all I asked from regional acceptance is to work with me and they are not trying to work with me or help me they want to garnish my whole entire check I can't afford to pay for this car I asked them to help me and they said they are not going to help me and they'don't care that I am behind on my car note

Regional Acceptance daily interest on loans, incorrect payments applied to accounts,

I purchased a vehicle in 2014 for 10, 000 after interest Regional Acceptance Financed $14, 000. After paying 3 years and 8 months of payments they are claiming I still have 2 years and 6 months left of payments due totaling $14, 000 making total payoff price $20, 000.

I have paid $16, 000 to date and they are now threatening repossession claiming I havent paid for 3 months when my bank statement shows otherwise. When you call to ask to refinance they say you need to find your own finance company they will not help you after almost 4 years of payments?

They are claiming they charge daily interest to date I have only paid 1% towards my principal totaling $78.00? HOW and WHY...

Regional Acceptance auto financing

My auto loan with Regional Acceptance Corporation begin early 2014. I financed $26k for 72 months. (a long time, I know) So, I understand alot of interest will be paid first. However, after four years of payments (over $23k) only $2k worth of principal has been paid off. I found out why. Part of the terms are that Regional can apply the payments any way they want. When i pay late and incur a late fee, they use my payment to pay the late fee and the interest. Nothing to principal. Their accounting system shows i made a partial payment. Yet, they report to the credit bureaus and have on the statements that I made a full payment. Deception. Meanwhile tons of interest is building up. And it will take me forever to get out from under the debt. Risk and hardship.

This is predatory lending at its best.

Regional Acceptance car

The car got repo and all my personal were in there that are value alot lets say like my steamer for detailing car interiors also my vacuum and alotof myclothing and products for detailing, I feel like they should notify me before they took the car to take out any personal item it was in there and now where can I pick up my stuff or is it gone? I just need my tools and detailing products I really use them and now have to make costumers wait. My car was repo because of the payments but dont give you the right to take my personnal stuff

Regional Acceptance Fraudulent billing and account withdrawal

I authorized a payment of $1207 on February 23, 2017 and on march 1, 2017 they withdrew $1775 out of my bank account, leaving me no money to get my kids food. They previously told me I was $639 behind plus my march payment of $568 would make a total of $1207. So I authorized that amount only to have them take out more. They are now trying to claim I was $1207 BEHIND so they took out an extra payment of $568 for march to be $1775. This was extremely wrong and I have bank statements to prove I was only $639 behind and had been paying each month.

Regional Acceptance Car loan

i have a car loan with regional a.c. financed 17, 899.00 at 17% interest, now over 40, 000.00 later and way over my 72 month loan they still say i owe them freaking money, how the hell is that right, some how they are scamming more than just me out of money, got the loan in 2008, its 2016, am i just stupid or is someone not good at math?

Who has the right to add another $15000 to your payment with out your consent!
Regional acceptance, forged my name! I did not agree to back pay! there was no back pay that I was aware of! I had this loan for some one else, he probably paid at least $25, 000 on this truck, from 2008, regional argued with me stating they have the right to add on as much as they want! regional acceptance, stated that no I did not sign my name to the agreement! they forged my name! they tried to tell me they put eight months in the back of the payment! my personal thought is, what kind of loan place puts 8 months in the rear of a car payment? it was like being robbed all along, you can not argue with ignorance because cussing comes in play on both ends! you can not tell me regional acceptance to shut my mouth! especially when I know something is wrong! you have no right to forge my name! my rights [ lindy]

Regional Acceptance Calls

I get called at work, at home and on my cell. My payments are due on the 20th of the month. It is the 12th. I am getting at least 3 to 4 calls a day. I was promised to bump two of my payments to the end of my contract. yes I got behind. It never happened. That was last July. It is April of next year now. I have made my monthly payments every month since then. I would just like them to do what was promised and stop harassing me. As many times as they call I do have a harassment case.

Regional Acceptance Bad service

Well I just got off the phone with them and yes, I'm 2 months behind. I tried to make a payment for half of what I owe and pay the rest in 2 weeks. Well after being tranfered a few times they finally told me that my half payment was not good enough and they needed 200 more that I don't have and that if I don't pay the 700+ that my car was out for repo and there was nothing they could do. u think they would want 500 and payment of rest in 2 weeks. But I guess they would rather send out repo men!

Same situation with me. For the past few months, I was out sick with Covid and out of a job for a month since December 2021. I recently paid $330 and now they're screaming for an extra $900 that I won't have until March 25th. I was on the phone with Danielle, the person in charge of my account, and told her that this was all I can come up with for the time being until March 25th. But they said the same old thing... pay up now or repo is coming. And they didn't care how I get the money, borrowed or stolen. They wanted it now or bye bye car (that I desperately need for work). How, even with pandemic still hanging over their heads, can they be so cold? I'm so pissed.

Regional Acceptance Cheat me out of money

Regional is the worst company to do business with, they are rude, and very unprofessional. They are trying to cheat me out of money and trying to force me to pay late fees. They keep calling my job, home and cell I will not answer. I wrote them a letter and requested a break down of the bill that I owed and also to tell them that I will only communicate with them in writing. I will pay them what I believe that I owe I will not give them one penny more. they got upset with me because my car was stolen and it toke a while for them to get paid off. I pay my bills but this company I believe have thugs working for them not trained professionals. They will not tell me what to pay or when to pay it.

Regional Acceptance Convenience Fee Refund from Regional Acceptance

We received a check in the mail yesterday from Regional stating:

"A review of the records on your account since January 1, 2009 indicates that you were charged, and we received, on or more fees on your account for the convenience of payment by credit card, debit card, telephone or use of our website. Texas law does not authorize this fee on this type of contract. These convenience fees therefore should not have been charged or received on your account. We apologize for this error and are refunding the convenience fees that were received on your account during this period. Attached to this letter you will find a refund check in the amount of $60. We also waive any unpaid convenience fees on your account. This letter is not a request for payment. If you have any questions, please contact us at [protected], option 6, or at P.O. Box 20126, Greenville, NC 27858"

This is the law in Texas:

Sec. 339.001. IMPOSITION OF SURCHARGE FOR USE OF CREDIT CARD. (a) In a sale of goods or services, a seller may not impose a surcharge on a buyer who uses a credit card for an extension of credit instead of cash, a check, or a similar means of payment.

(b) This section does not apply to a state agency, county, local governmental entity, or other governmental entity that accepts a credit card for the payment of fees, taxes, or other charges.

(c) The Finance Commission of Texas shall have exclusive jurisdiction to enforce and adopt rules relating to this section. Rules adopted pursuant to this section shall be consistent with federal laws and regulations governing credit card transactions described by this section. This section does not create a cause of action against an individual for violation of this section.

In review of the demanded payment history, by my count, they owe me over $300, much more than the $60 they are proposing I accept.

If you live in Texas, and if you get a check, do your homework and see just how many fees they've hit you with. I plan to fight this nominal fee and demand my money back.
