Regent Insurance Bad service

I was involved in an accident with my golf 5 2.0 FSI on the 29th of June 2007 and submitted the claim to Regent Insurance in Durban on monday the 2nd of July 2007. I submitted the claim form together with the accident report number and contact details of the company that towed my car. I phoned the tow company on Sunday the 8th of July 2007 just check what's happening with the car as i have not heard from Regent (Jody), i found that Regent had authorized for the car to be moved to Harrismith panel beaters and the car is at the panel beaters. On Monday the 9th of July i phoned Jody (Regent) to follow up then she told me that she is still waiting for a quotation from the panel beaters, I must phone them, ask them to send her the quotation (What do i pay insurance for?). I phoned the owner of the Panel beating shop, he said that he had sent a quotation to regent already, I asked him to fax me a copy then i sent it to Jody on the 9th of july via email and received confirmation that she read the email that same morning.

On the 11th of July 2007 i phoned Regent Insurance again to follow, then she started telling me how my claim has technically been with her since monday as she did not have the quotation. On the day that i submitted my claim to her, she said that it 2 to 3 days for the assessor to look at the car and confirm the claim.

She promised to call me on Friday the 13th to let know how she has gone, Today is the 17th of July 2007, i still have not heard from Regent Insurance.

Last year i puchased a new Isuzu Extended Cab from Reeds, Tygervalley, the vehicle was financed through Wesbank. In the latter part of January 2009, I recieved a call from Regent offering shortfall, body line and maintanance cover of just over R230-00 per month, I was promised cover would commence immediately. I called regent two weeks ago to lodge a claim in respect of the body line maintanace cover, at least fifteen calls to various numbers left me with very little information, I was eventually directed to a lady who told me that the policy was not loaded and it would be done within 48hrs, i find this unacceptable as I was told I wouyld have immediate cover, I called back three days later spoke to another lady who immediately ensured that the policy was loaded, I was then directed to claims, claims dutifully logged the claim telephonically, this was on Thursday past, to date I have not heard a thing from them, though i was promised that an assessor would call to do an inspection and conclude the claim. To date I havent been contacted by anyone, are they going to pass the buck once again, I am absolutely disenchanted by the manner in which my account has been managed!

I have car insurance with regent insurance that I have made no claims on and changed no details on policy.
And suddenly I get a letter stating that my premiums are going up.
why is it going up when the value of my vehicle is going down
definitely looking for a better insurance company

Regent Insurance Stay away from them

Isn't it funny how you always pay your insurance premiums every month and insurance companies welcome your premium payments but when you have to claim, its a big Issue. I have the paint tech Insurance from Regent insurance and made my claim ages ago (round about Feb 2008) for a scratch on the side of my left passenger door and a chip on my windscree. I laid my claim for the scratch first and they sent me to panel beaters to get a quote from the which I did, the next thing I am told that I have to send pictures of the scratch of which I did as well and I'm still waiting till this day, Then I got a chip on my windscreen as well and laid a claim again and still waiting for them to get back to me, ref numbers were given to me at that time but I lost my phone and do not have them anymore, but I suppose everything is stored onto their database so they should be able to pull that, the other thing is that the chip has since turned in a crack because someone is not doing their job, the claim was made while it was still a chip and grew over time and I know chances are they are gonna tell me that they do not cover cracks... Hmmmmmm, do your job people that's why we pay you...

I agree with the complaint, the client all the required documentation and now he is being given a run around, it is totally unaccepted to not to come back to customers after have promised to do so. personally l feel this Judy is unprofessional and needs a lesson in customer services.
