Reg Cure Problems tripled!

My neighbor downloaded this software in the hopes of speeding her computer up. Now, it takes over 5 minutes to see the desktop and nothing works. You never realize how often you use the internet until you no longer can use it! The computer does not recognize it's own IP address and therefore, it cannot connect to the worldwide web. This makes problem solving difficult! In addition, there is an error message just after the Windows screen comes up. After hours of trying to help her by attempting to do a system restore (would not allow us to restore) and removing this treacherous program through the Control Program, I am still unable to get her back up and running. Her IP provider states it is not their problem so they will not help her and while I'm relatively computer savvy, I cannot seem to resolve her problems. Does anyone know if there are additional files stored elsewhere that should be removed? Does Reg Cure plant itself in the Windows Registry? What about hiding any files in other locations? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Registry cleaning software is not perfect, sometimes it takes out something that seems to mess our PCs up even more.

I know that this is an old question, but here's a possible answer for future viewers:

Restore the previous registry cleaning(s). In some cases, this'll restore functionality to whatever is now "broken", and then you can remove the registry cleaner at that point, should you want to.

I've never used RegCure, but I know that it's very, very popular due to the heavy marketing. Take any registry cleaner on the market, and you're going to have people saying that it broke their PC. RegCure isn't any different -- some people love it, others hate it.

Here's a link to show you on a popular, but free, registry cleaner:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ccleaner+(ruined|destroyed|broke)+my+(computer|pc)&btnG=Search&aq=f&oq=

Registry cleaning is a very, very touchy process. Only use registry cleaners that have a built-in, easy-to-access backup option, and if something messes up that you need -- restore your previous cleanings.

Reg Cure 800 number for Regcure

Hey, guys I also bought the reg cure though it would fix. But same problems I had b/f I got it. Tried to email the 3 times and got fed up with it. Called my credit company. They gave me a number for their payment processing place that does all the payments. Lady was really nice and put in a request to get my money back. [protected]. Safe Cart is the company. Again, this is not the number to Reg Cure but they handle all the payments back and forth for them. So they can put in request to get your money back. Hope it is helpful.

Reg Cure was installed and was supposed to fix the 1, 000 some problems detected in the free scan. After paying and downloading this program I saw no difference and would like to get my money back as stated in the contract, if not satisfied you can get your money back within 30 days. There seems to be no way to contact them to request my money back.

Charged $10 over offer price. Adjusted charge but added $10 for
some unwanted, never heard of program so overcharge remained
the same. Inept or thoroughly corrupt business.

Purchased Reg Cure last night and installed it with the hopes of optimizing my computer. After Reg Cure ran the scan, found ~1, 000 errors, and "fixed" the errors. I have discovered the following problems:

1. Internet connectivity has been disabled.
2. I-tunes (music software) no longer works

Have not attempted the refund route yet, but will post once I find out something...

Purchased software to clean-up computer to make it run faster by eliminating un necessary files. Product not only didn't work, it actually slowed the computer down even more. Requested a refund after complaining though the specified support group to no avail. Is there nothing that can be done to insure this won't happen in the future, or to get a refund?

I purchased RegCure in October 2009 and used it once. Now I can't get back into it. When I open it, all I get is the RegCure logo. How do I get back into it? If you can' t help me, please discontinue my subscription and return the balance of my account.

Reg Cure Bad Services

I have purchased a lot of software online in the past 10 years. I use the Internet 24/7, for work and play, so when I purchase a software program, I will usually research the programs that are available, and look for the best deal for the money, service, and results they offer before I purchase it. Of the thousands of dollars I have spent in software, I can honestly say that in most of the purchases, I was satisfied with the product, and the service. I purchased Reg Cure from ParetoLogic less then a year ago, and I feel as though I got ripped off! Because I use so many programs, I will re-install my OS on my boot hard drive often. Each time I did that I would have to email them to reactive a new reg key number to use the product. Several times I would have to email them 3 or 4 times before I would get a response from them. The last time I had to threaten that I would complain to someone about their service if they didn't give me a new register key. So most of the year I wasn't even able to use the software. Then the last time I reinstalled the software I was able to activate it without having to contact them, only to find out that in a few months I would no longer be able to use the service unless I purchase another year subscription. I am able to use most of the software I buy from years ago. It might not be an updated program but a purchase should be a purchase. I saw nothing that indicated that I was purchasing a year subscription. If I would have known that I wouldn't be able to use again once the year was up, I wouldn't have bought it. I Guess they figure that so they forget to mention it. That is just wrong! I don't know if the cleaner works or not. Every time I ran the program I would get the same reg errors to clean ups. A few of my photo software programs wouldn't work afterward so I would have to re-install them again. Because of that I would only use the program when my computer was really desperate. There is no way that I would buy another program from them when my year is up. It wasn't worth this years. I have purchased other maintenance programs again for their latest versions, if I like the software. I have bought System mechanics four or five times in the last 8 years. But I didn't have to, the older version would have still worked.

Sorry Reg Cure, but I give your program and customer service a big fat thumbs down!

I purchased reg cure after the usual it will fix all reg problems propaganda, what I found was it did nothing of the kind in fact the opposite, it removed shared dll files, it stated that it had removed so many problems then on rerun many were still showing, in fact if you put in a problem into google re the reg 9-10 it will come up reg cure can fix, rubbish I have had many problems with my PC over the years and reg cure could not fix them I had to use other methods.

So before throwing away your hard earned cash think about it is reg cure the answer.

I purchased the product Reg Cure registry cleaner. After using it a few times, I was forced to reinstall Windows XP Home. After reinstalling windows was told that I had used the license key too many times. I bought the product and have the right to use no matter how many times I use the license key. I either want to use the product or have a refund of the money which I payed for it. When I buy something I own it. Reg Cure should have nothing to say about it after I buy it.

Registy Cure is a JOKE DO NOT DOWNLOAD this on your computer. I purchased this in late June because my computer was running slow. BIG MISTAKE After finding out from my technical support group that Reg Cure is not compatable with our Citrix Server after losing 10 hours of work because I could not even LOG IN, I contacted their 800 number about a REFUND since I had to totally remove it with all its components in order to work. Well after 3 weeks of "operator is not available" and leaving numerous messages thru their voice mail and email, I still have not heard back from them nor have I received my refund and doubt if I ever will. This tells me they do not stand by their product or their refund policy. Not a good place to do business with. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way.

Reg Cure Product not delivered

I bought the product online from the company for 39.95. Once I obtained the authorization from the company to have the product. The company, Pareto logic allowed me to download a portion of the product, This part of the product allowed me to scan the computer only and advised me of any potential problems. The product then asked for the license number that the company had sent to me. I entered the number that I had paid for and discovered that the license number had expired in 2003. I tried to contact the company, but no phone number could be obtained for the company. I could not enter the company website for information because you needed a login ID to ask questions. Therefore I was out $39.95, because I did not have the product and my computer was still running slow.

Hello I have purchased the online game Scrabble from gamehouse with insurance and have not received my product. Their was considerable effort on one of their team members to help me upload it but to no avail. I have asked for a refund which I have not had an answer to. The reason for purchasing Reg Cure:

Three days prior to purchasing Reg Cure, I was in the process of removing Viruses and Spyware from my Sony Notebook running Windows XP Home.

At the point of reconfiguring the OS, I felt it was time to bring in a Software Program to fine-tune the overall OS. I did my research on the Net and read several reviews on Reg Cure and decided to give it a try and purchased it.

I ran the Reg Cure and it had indicated that 1887 errors were found. From the beginning of the Scan to completion was less than 2 minutes. As I clicked to fix the 1887 errors, it only took less than 3 seconds to indicate that it fixed all 1887 errors.

The fact that it only took less than 3 seconds to correct 1887 errors raised a red flag.

I rebooted and there was no improvement to the overall performance of the system. I later realized that the system was running extremely slow due to perhaps corrupt extension files throughout. I had no choice but reformat the hard-drive. I backed-up the data, formatted the hard-disk and reinstalled a new OS.

Out of curiosity, from my desk-top computer running Windows XP Professional. I went to Reg Cure website and downloaded the same program and reused the same License Key 2E003-23120-85C9A-0E3A3. I ran a Scan and here were the results:

In less than 2 minutes: 1:45 sec. Reg Cure indicated that it found 2179 errors. As I clicked to fix the 2179 errors -within 5 seconds all 2179 errors where fixed. I rebooted the system and my icons on my desk-top ran slower to load any application. This raised red flag number two.

My Zone Alarm program had just expired and I needed to renew the license. During Check-out of (purchasing) -Zone Alarm was offering a "PC-Tune-up" Program for $9.95 and I bought it and ran it on my computer.

From the time that I ran Reg Cure and PC Tune-up was less than 20 minutes apart. Here were the results of Scanning with PC Tune-up:

It took just under 18 minutes from the beginning of the Scan to the end of indicating the final results: 490 errors.

Window Registry Application Path Section 14
Windows Registry Com/Active X Section 232
Window Registry File Extensions 156
Window MS-Dos Programs 88
Total errors found 490
45% were High Priority
55% were Medium Priority

As I clicked to fix 490 errors it took a total of 2: 19 sec. to fix all 490 errors

* 1:05 sec. to fix the Problems
* 1:14 sec. to Defrag Registry.

It took approximately 20:19 seconds to complete the process of scanning and fixing the errors found on my computer. I rebooted my computer and to my amazement, the boot process loaded faster; applications load on the second click; and the overall performance to the system has improved by at least 35%.

This has lead me to conclude that Reg Cure is either defective or it's an inferior program. Whatever the case may be, as a result of running both Reg Cure and PC Tune-up side by side and seeing the end results; Reg Cure has failed to perform according to the claims on Reg Cure's website.

For this reason, I have submitted four requests for a refund of $39.90. I only get auto-responder emails. It would be easier for the people at Reg Cure to just send an email confirming that they have issues a credit …but I'm not holding my breath. I am taking action! They wont get away with this injustice.

Reg Cure Fraud & cheating!

I went onto their website yesterday, I was going to purchase one of their packages, but after looking into their company and checking the currency conversion of $ to £, I aborted my transaction, but they have still take the money from my account for the unwanted package. I have emailed them to complain and insist they return my money. But no use!

Reg Cure is a fraud and scams money out of your wallet by infecting your computer with ads to purchase the program which at all does not work. Reg Cure comes up with FAKE viruses and lies to trick you into buying the software which does nothing. If they contact you and try to remote connect to your PC to fix it. Do not I repeat Do not let them! They can and will mess up your computer and take bank information and credit cards or just ruin your computer. Make sure to listen to this
