s give to safety matters. No quality control what so ever, inferior material, home made kitchen cabinets falling apart. Bowed exterior wall, sheet rock must be complete re-installed with new materials as walls in several area have split open. This company has violated several of HUD Codes. You’ve got it HUD refuses to investigate or prosecute there own Codes. The Delaware Attorney General’s Office is aware of these problem, as they have been contact several times. They said they could not prosecute, that I needed to obtain a lawyer.

I went as far as the Govenor’s Office and have not had any support from them, except filing suit against the company in question. I filed suit against this company and after several years this matter has not been resolved. They even signed a Stipulation Agreement file, with the Court to fix same. They refused written proposals on what they would replace and repair. I have ask my attorney to reopen the case due to violating a Court Order, which he has failed to do thus far. This house has been inspected by a Professional home inspector, a structual engineer and sever building contractors and they all say the same thing. This house should have been replaced by the company, I have estimate4s to repair this house in excess of $62, 000.00.

These people seem to be protect on all sides. I would strongly state to prospective buyers to, “Buyers Beware”, you done know what you may been getting yourself into. Advise is DON’T SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITHOUT THE ADVISE OF A COMPETENT ATTORNEY PRESENT, there are arbitration factor’s involved in there contracts, which should by omitted from these contracts by your attorney. My advise is no matter what the dealer may tell you withhold money from them until you are satisfied with the house conditions. If they want to sell houses, they will agree with you or your attorney. I should have house built by a reputable contractor for a few thousand more dollars. Just make certain you don’t get a piece of junk, like my house is. I truly hope that this will wake up Prospective M anufactured home buyers. Remember be Aware of what you may be getting yourself into.

My house just arrived. The quality is literally crap. Disappointment doesn't begin to describe how I feel about my house. I waited a year for this POS? Everything is so, so cheaply done it's ridiculous. Hopefully when our house dealership comes in to fix things up it'll look OK but there's cracks everywhere and windows that are actually uneven. Please don't buy from these people.

I bought a 2021 home and in the year I've owned it.

The hinges and door knob rusted,In both bathrooms master bath exhaust fan stopped working, trim falling off or bowed

Ceiling cracking, back door doesn't fully meet up the doorway and leaks.

No trim around outside of back door.

Stairs are far from door ways.

Cocking around sinks coming away from sink and around counter.

I paid 59,000.00 for junk

We have lived in our Redman Mobile home for 6 years, and we still HATE it. Floor squeaks, storm doors that have been replaced, cheap appliances that have been replaced, an electrical system that we’re still having an electrician work on, cheap carpets that needed replacement, closet doors that are not installed squarely, windows replaced, and the list goes on. We finally ended up having to talk to the Service Manager at the Ephratta plant who lied to us. We had a 16 by 80 home custom built to suit our needs, and are sorry that we did. Do yourself a favor, don’t buy a Redman or Champion home.

We have now owned a Redman modular home for 10 years. First, we had a tough time getting mortgage because it is a manufactured home. I worked 35 years in the architecture profession so we acted as our own general contractor. Completing the build was made more difficult because the dealer did not supply the owner's Home Guide which included instructions for set-up until after the final inspection.
Our punch list was quite extensive. When the factory tech arrived, he had just gotten out of the hospital after having pneumonia and was still sick. This was after he wrecked his truck and trailer. So, we were lenient with him. He told us that the kitchen counters would delaminate and they did - after our one-year warrantee expired. He told us the reason we had water damage at the corner of the shower is our cat was peeing there. We repaired the damage and the cat has been banned from the bath but the damage came back. The tech also told us that the rust that has come out of the tub faucet since the day we moved in was temporary. A contractor told us recently it’s probably because someone used a black pipe intended for gas rather than a water pipe. We have only used our garden tub twice because we run out of hot water before its even 1/4 full. We had the mixer replaced but it didn't make any difference. The cover on the furnace in held in place by two large magnets on the outside. The free laid sheet vinyl floor floats when the blower comes on because it is not properly sealed around the edges. The exterior doors all have gaps which allow cold/hot air inside.
In summary, it appears that untrained workmen are used that don't know basic construction techniques. The materials used are typically inferior camper quality from not well-known manufacturers. At least at the time we bought our home, the warrantee was only one year. In hind sight, we should have lived in the camper a couple more months and had the home stick built by a reputable local builder.

After a six-month process of trying to work indirectly with Redman of PA on a "highly customizable design" (as quoted in their promotional materials), I gave up and am so relieved that I never signed a contract or made a down payment. I had planned to sell my home and downsize to a mobile home so I could retire. I worked with the local park where I intended to move, who dealt exclusively with Redman. The office manager did her best to assist me but ultimately was as frustrated as I was about the deplorable lack of communication. Her contact was the Customer Rep in PA, who then dealt with the engineers, so I never had any direct communication to ask why my customized plans (four!) were rejected. Each time I submitted a drawn-to-scale plan, I waited three weeks or more just to be rejected, with no explanation. Back in February, I had gone to a mobile home show in Maine, where I live, met for 1-1/2 hours with the same Customer Rep known to the park office manager. He assured me that I could customize an existing floor plan and gave me several ideas of how to do it. Between March and June, I kept revising the plan, only to be rejected. Meanwhile, I couldn't put my house on the market until I knew my mobile home was being constructed, which I was told would be a two-month process. It is now July and I finally just said I'm done with Redman and canceled my plans to move to the mobile home park. I cannot comment on the quality of the construction because I never got that far! But from other reviews, and my own frustrating experience, I know I dodged a bullet and I would caution other prospective buyers to beware of dealing with this unprofessional and disrespectful company, especially if you want to customize your home. Their customer service is deplorable.

Redman Homes...very poor service after the sale. I called multible times to have my shower repaired after being there 3 times...they simply gave up and told me next time they were up my way they would stop and look at it again. After a lot of phone calls to the factory complaining about this problem ...they simply did not return, now 4 years later it still leaks! I would never deal with this company again and tell all my friends give them a wide birth and buyer beware!
