Real Canadian Superstore zero customer service

Only two cashiers on at 9:50AM Friday.
Big lineups of people with full carts.
I had 9 high ticket items.
I'm NOT using the self checkout - of which they have 2 -3 employees "helping people?".
Why not open an express lane?
Left my cart (I always use slugs) with $ items in it & walked out.
Done it before, will do it again!
So now, rather than having another cashier on, they have to have an employee put away/throw away all the stuff in my cart, makes sense? Duh!

My wife shops at Supertore, Costco and the odd time Safeway, as well as smaller shops. She buys only when thr produce is right and that means in Winnipeg Superstore and Costco. The service and quality are great here in Winnipeg. Superstore's selection of produce grown without chemicals is remarkable and priced very low. In the summer she buys all her produce from a vegetable farmers market. She tries to shop at not busy times, store opening, mid week.

Real Canadian Superstore cracker barrel cheese

I bought this cheese today from this location and found mould in the sealed pack which really surprise me because I didn't expect from Cracker Barrel and from real Canadian superstore
Which quite dangerous for the health
This is second time happened on this location and in deli/dairy section but still the same problem again

Real Canadian Superstore bulk bun from bakery

I was enjoying breakfast today when I noticed something blue in the grains of the bun I was consuming, which was from the bulk buns section of the Local Real Canadian Superstore. I took a closer look and pulled a small picece of torn blue plastic out of the bun! This concerned me for my family and I had consumed these buns the previous day and I've had to dispose of more for I was concerned we had been eating plastic.

Real Canadian Superstore birthday cake

I ordered a birthday cake for my girlfriend on 2/4/2019 and the pickup date is 2/6/2019. The order id is 38913.

When I came to the store, your bakery employee told me there is no customized cake at back. After I showed my order form, and she checked again, and found another order form. However, she didn't find any cakes. The decorator wasn't there and the bakery manger wasn't there as well.

She told if I could come next day, and she would ask the decorator to come back. It is such ridiculous that my girlfriend's birthday is 2/6/2019, and asked me to come back next day to pickup. More ridiculously thing is that both decorator and manager were not there, and it was working hours.

Front end manager came to me and apologized to me that he also couldn't do much about it, because those bakery employees were not there.

I hope you could investigate and clarify this case; this case really hurts my feeling and I totally lose trust to the your store.

Real Canadian Superstore the level of customer service

I am TOTALLY against the self checkout now in place at Porters Lake Superstore. The staff has obviously been cut to only two cashiers open and people are forced to use the self checkout - where there are now lineups forming. Very difficult for young mothers to juggle babies and pack groceries... Only today I was in the Porters Lake Superstore and the Seafood counter was CLOSED permanently - one more staff member cut ?. I am in the store almost on a daily basis, since I own a nearby restaurant and I am SERIOUSLY considering taking my business to Sobeys in Dartmouth ! VERY upset and disappointed in the COMPLETE lack of concern for BOTH the customer AND staff... The Westons must need more money !

Real Canadian Superstore pharmacy

I was treated terribly at the pharmacy today in superstore campbell river. I was very ill and the store was completely empty. I was the only one waiting for a prescription and the man working at the counter told me it would be 15mins, we had a good conversation and he told me to wait for 15. I stood in front on the counter waiting for over half an hour, I did not leave, and then at one point the same man that took my prescription asked me if I was looking for something, and I just said no i'm waiting for my prescription and walking around aimlessly until it's ready. He laughed. I continued to wait. So after about 45 mins I finally sat down because I started to feel faint. I waited another 15 mins. By this point it was an hour and the same man who took my prescription was just staring at me while I was waiting for the entire hour. He knew exactly what I was waiting for. I finally asked after an hour if my prescription was almost ready. At that point he looked at me and said "i'm sorry I don't know what you are talking about, I can't rember every face I talk to". What the hell?! I was literally the only person in the store. I was the only person this man had helped. I stood in front of him for over an hour and he 100% knew what I was waiting for but decided to be a complete dick and act ignorant, pretending he did not know what I was waiting for. I almost passed out at the counter after realizing what he had done. I blacked out, my hearing went, and started to faint in the store because this man made me so upset and I was already very sick. He knew the entire time what I was there for and even though I was clearly very ill and not in a good place to be standing in a store for an hour, he still let me wait for over an hour when I could have left far sooner. I will not use this store ever again and will share this story with everyone I know and my social media accounts. I was disgusted by this mans behaviour and the way he acted like he did not know what I was doing there. After this experience I will never return here.

Real Canadian Superstore eyeglasses - vision department

I had given my eye glasses to change the broken frame and the optical department changed the frame and charged it.i had severe eye pain after this this and never got better even after 1 month.Finally checked the glasses in the same store i purchased only to find it was demo glasses still in the new frame and i have to wait for new glasses for now.how can staff be this irresponsible ? How will you compensate for the eye strain i had to suffer all these days.i think i have to do my eye inspection again to check my vision have not changed.This is so bad.

Real Canadian Superstore president's choice coffee pods - compostable pods

Hi there,

I bought the 30 pack of the Presidents Choice Columbian Supremo compostable coffee pods.

Many of the pods have now exploded in the Keurig machine while it is in the process of filtering the coffee.

The 'lid' is separating from the lower part of the pod.

I haven't even made it through the first 15 pack, and 6 have done this so far.

Real Canadian Superstore Customer service/manager

Went shopping today. It happent to me to
See rude people but like this manager, never... After the staff mess up with my receipt, went back to customer service for the refund. I start beliving that some of the reduced prices of fruits are changed in purpose. Thats what happent to me, and this is not the first time. Just a little mistake of 13 $ in 3 products. Thats not all, when I want talking to the lady at the customer service, a young girl was dealing to another customer, and she listen the conversation. And she start yelling to me oooooo like that making sign with both arms to shut up and after ooooo she said "just wait here"... I was shocked... I lost my pacience and reply to her in the same way that she did... Thats where tho hole story begin...
The manager, lesslie ross... Show up. Very quiet, and extremely sarkastic, rude and offensive. I start talking to him complaining about the staff, and said that people who treat custumers cike that should'nt work here. For a frustraited and sad custumer, in my right obvieusly. Was expecting from him something like ;ok sir, would you come down please. Lets talk about that, we aplogise for the disturb and the mistake.. Well, it did'nt happent like that. The guy replay to me that he did'nt care at all about me and the mistake, and the staff behavior was correct and he dont have to apologise at all and he will bann me from the store forever. Yes, twice he said he did'nt care about me... And all I have to do is to take the refund and leave.. And he said never show up again... I said I will complain and I had a sarkastic lough ha haaaaa... He said just go, take me name and do whatever you want. I don't care.. He said go complain and go wherever you want, just leave this store and don't come back. I'm wondering why? Just because I caught him cheating with the prices and I am mad about that? He said is just a mistake and in no way he need or he will apologise about that... I got refound and went back home. Here again I saw a 2nd mistake. I got refound only for 2 products the 3rd (6, 50
$) not... I had to go back. I decided to fill a police report about what happent, but did'nt do it yet. Tomorrow first thing to do is the police report. I went back to customer service for the 2nd refound. Talk to the same lady again. This time she apologised and I said its ok. I'm here for the refound and it's all good. She sems nice. And I asked her politely if she can call the same manager because I want his name for the police report. The guy show up in 10 sec. And this time not for talking or trying to reason with me, but for being more aggresive. He said I was immature person if I thing I can fill up a police report for what happent. He said he had to talk to several people and they all said she was'nt rude to you. He said ;what you thing the police will do? They will call me, and will tell them whats happent here and they will roll the eyes... And do nothing... Yep like that... He said again if you think I am gonna be in trouble because of that, im am an immature person and am reactin like an immature. Person. And if you thing I can complain about him just try and nothing gonna happent. He will never fire a guy from his staff because of that and I can never sue this place... He asked me again for the 5th or 6th time to never show up here again... Because he dont want to see me or my face around. And after he asked me, I said ok, I dont care coming back. Dont care about this place, and more, dont give a sh...Coming back in a place like that where people get herassed and offended because of their accent. And by the and he repeted me 2 times this is good riddance... Yea, exactly what he said... Well, good riddance.
Why all that happent? I am a good citizen, never have problem with the law. I work very hard for making my living. I was'nt stealing, was'nt doing nothing bad. If their only problem was my accent, that's ok. I will go for my right. I feel very offended., extremely. Tomorrow calling the store manager ang calling the main office in ontario.

Real Canadian Superstore online order pickup

this basically a copy of a complaint I sent to Airdrie superstore who did not respond

I refer to an online order which I place on Friday december 21 2018.

Like many people I was excited about being able to place an order online and pick it without having to wait around, it's something that i've used countless times in the UK (10 years ago) and demonstrates forward thinking modern company, finally Canada is catching up with the modern world.

On the order I refer to, I was sent an email stating 5 bags of system saver @$6.98 each wasn't available - no substitution available.

I was charged $5 collection fee, more because the system saver bags weigh 20 kgs each.

When I got to the store I went inside to check and saw a pallet of item inside the entrance door, further to that I also saw 3 to 4 more pallets outside where they sometimes have garden items.
I also saw the same pallets in the same position on three occasions the same week while shopping.

I called the number on the email explaining the situation and asked to talk to a manager, I spoke to a female who stated on several occasions that there was no manager working that day, I didnt for one minute believe a store of that size can operate without a manager and asked again, she refused to put me through of help further, I asked her name and she hesitated before saying mikayla (spelling?).

I asked her to get a manager to call me back to discuss this issue and as of today December 28 I have still not had any call back so I am resorting to sending an email requesting SOMEONE take ownership of this issue.

In my opinion whoever was picking the order was simply too lazy to pick up heavy bags of salt and lied, consequently, I am very annoyed about lazy staff, being lied to and being charged $5 extra for someone to lie to me.

I'm sure this work ethic isn't not one supported by Superstore and will take the appropriate action, firstly by addressing the staff member who lied, the staff member who refused to let me talk to a manager and retrain the staff on ethics.

Real Canadian Superstore returning joe fresh item

my daughter in law bought me some pajama's for my birthday, she purposely left the price tag on it and put a gift receipt on it as well. The item was bought at the Superstore in Oshawa, She sent my gift to me and unfortunately it was the wrong size. I went to our superstore here in Summerside to return said item and exchange for another set of pajama's also Joe Fresh but a different size and style. Now when my daughter in law purchased them they were full price of $29, the exchange they gave me for them $14. the reason given was they were not purchased at this store, and right at that point in time they were on sale so they could only give me the sale price.. so I ask you What is the point of putting a gift receipt on this item to ensure that if it needs to be returned for whatever reason, the person would get the price paid for said item?
I find this very frustrating and disrespectful, I would understand if there was no tag and no receipt, but both were attached.
This is very poor customer service. and a rip off to people who shop there !
I will take my business to Walmart and Giant Tiger from now on. At least they will refund what is on the receipt if you need to exchange an item.

Real Canadian Superstore quick checkouts

I have noticed last week and again today Dec.11/2018 that the quick checkouts are closed and customers are been encouraged with free shopping bags to use the self checkouts. That person could be better used staffing the quick checkouts. Not only am i unhappy with not having the quick checkouts. There were many shoppers standing in long lineups rather then use the self checkouts. I spoke to the Manager of the Chilliwack bc store to lodge my complaint. He said that it was a corperate decision and that all stores across Canada were also doing the same. I do not have good vision and can not read the codes that are needed for many produce items. I find it frustrating and time consuming using the self checkouts. Go look at Walmart (where you will be losing your customers to) they have both and can process a lot of customers in a short period of time. I sure hope this is a pilot project that it will be abandoned soon. The little you are saving is creating long lineups and upset customers. Your Staff are not to happy about this either. What used to be a pleasant store to shop in is now a nightmare to checkout for me and many others.
I would like to hear back from you for how long you are going to continue this madness. Walmart tried to get rid of their flyers and got so many complaints that they went back to them. Some things are just not worth it to change. You were doing so well running all checkouts on weekends and then some suit came up with this STUPID initiative. Why not fire him/her and use those wages to keep the quick checkouts open. I hope this appeal does not fall on deft ears.

Real Canadian Superstore grocery and meat

I went to your store a week ago on a Wednesday around 6pm i went when the chickens, pork roast, steak there was something else i just can remember .i would have contacted earlier but was away for awhile.anyway there wasn't one thing on the meat shelves that was on sale.there was a few others complaining too, not sure if they contacted anyone though.not only that we get to the checkout that we do ourselves we picked up the wrong peppers package tried to void couldnt which is understandable.so the flashing light comes on there was a lady just standing talking to someone not about anything in particlular which we didnt mind you have to be friendly after like 3 or 4 min i said it would be nice to have help which she came over.i shouldnt have to wait while a worker is just chatting about everything.my wife has been in grocery store for like 9 years.so we do understand lots.not going to lie i hate shopping in the north sydney store i only go there when sales are on then i hate to .this is not first bad experience.i would never contact you because we know a manager there used to work with my wife i would have brought it up with him but i havent saw him since i got back.another thing there was 2 tvs there the worker said they were on sale for i think he said 359 i would have bought both when he rings it in it was 879 or something like that then he remembered it was black friday sale no problem.i just didnt even know they were on sale for black friday or i would have bought 2.no adverticeing at all for them.those 2 tvs still sitting on floor when they could have been sold to me if i knew.anyway done ranting lolo have a good day .dont want anything just thought id share whats going on.

Real Canadian Superstore employee made accusation that I was getting grabe

I am a busness man no criminal record the woman serving me at the service counter dude ly screamed I was getting grabe and went into some kind of stance as if to protect herself I'm sure it's all on camera there was absalutly no reason for this. I am sure she was trying to take advantage of me as I'm older Look at vidios. I've never experienced anything like this. I have a bad hart and haven't been able to sleep fir two days. Real Canadian Superstore empty shelves

Why is it that the Calgary coventry superstore shelves are always empty? it doesn't matter what day of the week I go in or what time of day there always seems to be empty shelves? It is more prevalent when there is a sale on. I can go in as soon as the store open on the day of the sale and the product is missing on the shelf and when you ask no-one know anything they say oh were out or it hasn't came in yet and it never does.

Real Canadian Superstore tomato price is wrong product code 4799

Today i visited store today i.e., 1st december 2018 at 10.16pm. The price they displayed and the price at checkout is wrong. I never check the price whenever i purchase anything from superstore and I'm a very regular customer for superstore. Today my husband came with me to the store and he noticed the price was wrong. When we are doing self checkout lot of times this happened to me. Today i planned to complain about this. End of the day this happened, that means whomever customer purchasing from the morning this might hav happened that means how many customers would hav been fooled with these prices. When i ask the customer service representative she was rude and said I don't know about the price. How much negligence. Is this the good customer service? I really got upset because almost 3 to 4 times in a week I'm purchasing in the superstore. This is what happening. I need quick action on this.

Real Canadian Superstore advertised sale item

I took three busses in the snow to your ne Calgary store today I wanted the Spider-Man ps4 machine that was on sale I was told that none of the Alberta stores received these only Ontario stores did it is advertized in your alberta flyer this is faulse advertising they had nothing to put in its place so I made a wasted trip and I'm angry I wanted this item and they would not compensate me with another product why would you advertise it and not supply this this is faulse advertising I want to be compensated what are you going to do about this I'm very upset I do all my shopping at superstore shoppers and no frills my family prescriptions have a cost of $2000.00 a month maybe I should transfer them to Walmart at least they would compensate me on an advertized sale item I look forward to your reply my name is Linda my number is [protected] the item I wanted was Spider-Man ps4 on sale for $259.99 Black Friday flyer thank you

Real Canadian Superstore 10 items for $10.00

I was in your store located on king george boulevard at kings crossing. They had 8 bins (2 groups of 4 bins) located in the pharmacy department with assorted items. There was even one bin in each group that was the same, emoji lip gloss. The signs on these bins stated 10 items for $10.00 with mix and match below the price. So I picked up 10 items from these 8 bins; 4-liquid hand soap, 2-tooth brushes, 2-emoji lip gloss, and 2-dental floss. The only bin that was not full was the tooth brushes, so it was not like someone picked up a package of dental floss and changed their mind and randomly placed it somewhere. As I moved thru the store there were several more bins that I saw: 4 bins in the christmas decorations section (one bin had the emoji lip gloss) and 4 bins in the pop/juice aisle (1.25l of coca-cola or ginger ale).

After picking up the stuff that I came to this store for, I went to pay. After paying my bill, I noticed that I was charged the regular price for these 10 items. The teller called the supervisor and the supervisors comment was that I picked items from two different groups of 4 bins. I commented that this should not matter as all 8 bins that I took stuff from were in the pharmacy department. Since the supervisor would not honor this or give me these items for free due to the mistake (like safeway does), I asked for a refund. While I was waiting for the supervisor, the teller must of rung up 6 customer's order. This was not a problem for me as the supervisor had not arrived however, two different male customers interrupted the cashier demanding bags for their order. She gave them each 2 bags for free. When the supervisor arrived, she told me that the dental floss that I picked up from one of the 8 bins were not part of the 10 for $10.00 I asked her why they were under the sign. She informed me that in smaller sign that it explained this. This is unacceptable, I returned these 10 items and received my money back, but this is false advertising and is unacceptable. The coke-cola that was also 10 for $10.00 was 1.25l which I purchased 1. The pop cost more than the package of dental floss that I usually purchase at the dollar store for $1.25

Just to let you know, I was on my way to a friends house for dinner and I stopped at this store to contribute to the meal. I am still upset on how your supervisor would not honor the marked price. So you can be that I will be telling 10 people and hopefully they will 10 more.

Real Canadian Superstore false advertising of free item & 2 more complaints...

November 15, 2018, southport superstore

Advertised the "free item" falsely in the store today. After spending $250 as was advertised on the sign at the end of an isle, in the store today, I expected to pick up my new 10 pce ceramic bakeware set. It is advertised as a 10 pce ceramic bakeware set (looked nice - had lids as well). So I budgeted my shopping list to achieve the $250 spending minimum in a single transaction.
I was told I would need to pick up my free item at customer service. One of staff at the customer service counter was absolutley useless and stood there with a bottle of water in her hand wanting to chat with the agent on the till. I asked if she could help me, to which she replied, no. So I observed her, doing nothing and then finally was asked to move away from the counter. I feel she may have been on her break so therefore was unable to accomodate customers. Poor service...
When I arrived to the front of the line at the customer service counter to pick up my free, beautiful, 10 pce ceramic bakeware set I was told I could choose from a serving board set or take 2 boxes of plastic cutlery. I was unhappy. I suggested that they should remove the sign from the isle's end. I said I would complain to management about it. The customer service agent and the customer behind me (who was there to pick up her free item, a 10 pce ceramic bakeware set) both agreed it was wrong. We were then informed that it is managemnt that posts theses signs when there in fact are no 10 pce ceramic bakware sets to offer. False advertising - what an insult to be offered 2 boxes of plastic cutlery! And I don't need anymore wooden serving boards ; (

#2 - I arrived home to open a package of spring lettuce for lunch and it was rotten from the inside out. So disapointed to not be able to eat a salad with our family size sushi tray.

#3 - our famly size sushi tray provided yet more diapoointment as the amount of wasabi they provide for a familiy size wouldn't even satisfy a single size/serving. Atleast they could tell you you need to purchase the flippin' wasabi. We were home already and about to eat before we realized our sushi would be mostly bland today : (

I dont like shopping at the beautifully renovated superstore anymore. Are you ok with that mr loblaw?!

Save on foods is also in our neighbourhood. They have consistantly provided excellent customer service and their employees are happy. Customer service nor product satisfaction has ever been an issue at save on food for us.

Real Canadian Superstore customer service

I was in the wasaga beach store tonight and was refused service and told by a young woman (named ryleah) that the 12 item or less isle that she just served a customer at was closed and she would help me at the self check out. I will never use a self check out. So I was forced to go stand in long line at the only check out that was open. I can not believe that your store is going to force customers to use the self check out or wait in long lines because you are to cheap to hire humans. Now I must tell you this is not what made me truly angry. That was due to the fact that after standing in line for a few minutes waiting to be served I happened to look over at the express counter where I was refused service to see ryleah serving other customers that had come after me at the counter she had just told me was closed. At this point I went and asked for her name, after reading it on her shirt I went back to my line and continued to wait. At that point a woman named debbie came and opened a second register and offered to serve the next in line. That was me. I explained to debbe who told me she was the floor manager why I was angry and she was very nice and apologetic. However this did not make up for the horrible lack of service I had already received.
