Last December I had a generator installed by Ready Power Inc., located in Jasper Georgia. As of July the generator has never performed. During that time period, Ready Power replaced the battery 3 times and another part, still not solving the problem. On one Friday evening in June the power went out and of course the generator did not start - battery was dead! I tried calling the owner on his cell, which he publishes on his business card. He never returned my call, but sent an e-mail Sunday evening informing me that their office hours are 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday with no emergency contact numbers. He also said I should probably call someone else. I called Ready Power (they did not call me) on Monday and the earliest they could come and look at the generator was that Friday - a full week from the time the generator did not work. Upon calling Generac's home office and telling of the lack of customer service and knowledge of this type generator, of Ready Power, they suggested another distributor who came out with 24 hours to help even though they did not do the install. They determined that the generator was installed incorrectly and found the cause of the batteries going dead. They are re-wiring the entire job under the first year warranty and also have emergency numbers for evenings and week-ends. I would never refer any business to Ready Power as it seems they are in it for the money and move on.

I had the same service in 2006 as well with the OLD owner. He was a very unprofessional! HOWEVER, Scott is the new owner since 2008. I had my power go out today and placed a call to Scott. The owner (Scott) was at my house within an hour and had everything up and running. My Generator was over 25K, he will be back Wednesday to do a follow up service call and I will report the results then. I think poor Scott is cleaning up the previous owners dirty laundry!

Purchased Generac Natural Gas 25 KW generator in 2004. Ran on excercise only untill 50 hours. At 50 the rotor and stator began to fail. Out of warranty but I offered to send rotor and stator to Generac to determine cause at my expense before spending $4000 to replace rotor and stator only to have it fail at the next 50 hours. Gernac stated they were not interested. So far I have invested $10, 000 for generator and installation. New parts that failed about $3500 plus another $1500 to install. One would think that Generac would want to know the cause of this problem especially if looking at it would not caost them anything. The service company is also counfounded.
