Pepsi pepsi refresh project fraud

The pepsi cola company has a contest for inventors to submit innovative inventions or ideas each month. The contest only allows 1000 entries each month and each contestant must race to submit their entries. However, there is obvious fraud happening within the pepsi refresh project contest. I went thru all the steps and saved all of my material, including photos, to be submitted tonight. This is the third month and third attempt. I previously logged in to check to see if my material was there. And, it was all there - and in tact. But, when I logged on shortly before midnight - again for the third month - tonight (may 1st) to submit my idea, all of my saved information was mysterously deleted by someone on your staff. This is a fraud; and it is extremely suspect that someone on the "inside" who is controling this project, is deleting information so that only certain applicants can get their applications thru for acceptance.
My invention will stop the immediate hungar and thirst affects of national and world-wide disasters; and the invention also has the potential to place over 10, 000 unemployed americas back in the job market. But, someone at pepsi may be trying to stop this progress!
The federal trade commission should launch a full investigation into this matter. This program should be thoroughly investigated for inside fraudulent activity.

I think the entire thing is a scam in how it's run...

With the amount of votes and power votes that I know have been put in for our project, we haven't budged a single position in over a week... While yes, I know there can be disparity between entrants and who has how many votes and who else keeps growing, I don't believe statistically that everyone moves in the same linear fashion. I would expect to see some up/down fluctuation and that hasn't happened.

It's sad... But it's all ###. Worst part is that I like Pepsi. But now they've just irritated me.

I think Pepsi is doing a great job that other companies are reluctant to do. I know all the causes that I am voting for are real and most of them had won a grant. People will never be satisfied and the competition is having a field day with it. I will continue supporting the project with my votes to my favorite causes. Go Pepsi!

I agree that Pepsi has permitted the contest to go awry. However, I find it egregious for Pizzed-Off to publicly post that they "heard" that an idea is using a New York Times, or other email list without a shread of evidence that was a fact. If that particular idea was doing that how is it they did not win? I hope that you are called to task for that little piece of defamation and public libel. You accuse a group of cheating while hiding behind an alias? I can only guess that your particular idea was lagging behind Erin's Dream in the standings. If you have proof submit it to the proper authority. If you don't then keep it to yourself. What you have done is worse than cheating.

I don't believe any part of it is a scam. The shut down before the turnover submission period is probably just to clear the databases and get ready for submissions. Nevertheless, I've tried for 4 months to submit a project for the $250, 000 category. I have experience in fundraising and media and I know I can make this project successful--a central site/forum/videos/and book for home caregivers and families facing hospice and 11th hour care. Every month when the page opens for "finalize your idea" I click the "agree" to the T&C and submit, over and over, and all I get is "encountered an internal server error". So clearly their servers and platform are inadequate, especially for submissions from the West Coast. I considered getting other people to submit from their computers as well, but it seemed dishonest, and I don't believe any honest philanthropic effort should have to play positioning games like that. I would have been willing to give Pepsi branding and acknowledgment on all the products (books, DVDs, website) produced for 'Bring Your Loved One Home'. It's a demographic market of 5 million care-giving people annually. And I was going to donate proceeds from sales of books and DVDs to the Hospice Foundation and include Pepsi as a donor. Oh well ... I will find another sponsor or accomplish this dream on my own. I can do it, but it will take me 3-4 years instead of one.

For your information, there is no affiliation between Pepsi and Rett Syndrome. The Rett Syndrome group has been in the contest for months, and as long as you finish in top 25 or so you are automatically renominated for the next months contest if you are not the winner. We lost the contest 4 months in a row. In August we lost in the last 20 minutes. We were able to win in September only thru a ton of work done by hundreds of dedicated families hoping to find a cure for our daughters. We are one of the most legitimate organizations that you will find anywhere. Pepsi does have some problems with this contest in that there are some fraudulant groups trying to steal the dollars that should be going to many of the needy groups in the contest. I don't believe that it is going in the direction that Pepsi wants, but they are afraid to make any changes due to the threat of a law suit.

Perhaps, we should all be talking about get together and filling a class action suit against Pepsi. They have produced commericals and made money off of how good they are suppose to be doing in the community, however a great lawyer and a class action suit can change that.

A reporter from the New York TImes told me that Pepsi actually makes fake applications and puts them in the top ten for all of the Grant levels. This is why they don't post the votes on the site. All of the videos you see of grant winners are actors hired by Pepsi. I would suggest that no one submit because you can't win and the program is fake.

Pepsi employee treatment

Before I found your website, I did call Pepsi's consumer line to no avail. I did submit this email...

Initially, I called your New York office then your 800 customer care line and spoke "Michael" who didn't seem particularly interested in what I had to say. Now I am trying you...

Until recently, I was a proud Pepsi drinker and sang your praises to all who would listen. I even converted a few Coke fans. Anyhow, and I know this may sound odd, but I always thought when I graduated with my business degree I would work for your company. As I was growing up, I had friends who worked for you and thought you were a great company to grow old up and old with. However, when visiting some family in Jacksonville, FL recently, I saw some of my Pepsi "family" and saw something different in their eyes. I heard something different in their voice. While, in this economy, they were glad to work at Pepsi, they were disheartened by their circumstances and surroundings. They spoke of a plant manager or director, who promised to never promote from within. They spoke of never excelling because their "foot was already in the door and would remain planted where it stood and no where else unless it was leaving Pepsi". They spoke of wanting to leave but couldn't risk it because of the present state of our economy. I was truly shocked and disappointed. I didn't want to believe a company as big as Pepsi couldn't, wouldn't, want to promote unity from within. I snooped and found out that recently, employees had been overlooked, or as they put it, not even considered, for outside people. The irony is, that they allowed the employees to apply, I guess so it can look as though they were considered, then the plant manager brings in his pick from outside. I asked them could it be that they just were not qualified. They told me their immediate supervisors actually wanted them for positions but they were overruled. This is no better than those companies that outsource jobs to India. Honestly, I don't know if this is just in your Jacksonville, FL location or all over. I don't know if Pepsi's motto is "work and be happy you are working". I do know it is a disappointment. I do know this needs to be addressed. I do know I want to hear from you about this matter because at this point I also know I no longer want to be Pepsi anything and soon I will share my disbelief via email, facebook, myspace, twitter, etc.
Please tell me this is not your company wide policy. While I do believe every company needs fresh, new faces, I also believe they can't overlook the "seasoned" ones who have shown loyalty to that company through years and years of service.
Also, please don't insult me with polite, empty apologies and lies about addressing this matter. Even if this is your policy, be honest and say so. While I won't drink the product or promote it any longer, I can't hold it against you for being honest.

Thank you,

Is funny how my last comment was deleted, and I am assuming this one will as well. I’ll say it again. These corporations pay firms to study how to create just enough stress to keep employees no lore than 5 years to avoid benefits getting costly. That is why you see as of recently employees that have been around for a while grandfathered in are ok, but all new employees are poop out of luck. You will not retire in this company. You will be worked like a horse until you break.

I worked for Pepsi for about 6 months and quickly realized the bias and exploitation of employees. Making you work 12 hours attempting to deliver 20 plus deliveries across the counties. While also expecting you to stock the coolers in the store. Yea their pay looks high, but is it really? Let’s see. I was maki g $23 an hours. I was a driver, unloader, delivery man, and stocker. If we break this down by 4 I was making $5.75 as each of these positions.
All these Corporations have a 5 year policy. Where they push just hard enough that hardly anyone last more than 5 years so benefits don’t become costly. They pay firms to look into how to push just hard enough. That is why you will see employees typically leave on or before the 5 year mark.
Library’s run these corporations giving orders while sitting in an office with cold air, acting like they have a clue what hard physical work feels like. Please! Metrosexual cornballs.

Recently, I had left a full time job with full medical, dental and vision benefits after applying to Pepsi. After interviewing and taking and passing my physical, I was offered a full time position in the warehouse making much more than I was with my previous employer. I started June of 2012 and now out of work. Pepsi never made the fact known that I, and other new hires, would be competing against one another for a limited number of positions. I paid my union dues to the Teamsters even know I was not allowed to join their union until my supervisor had given my a "start date". As I was saying, Pepsi had all of us "non union" workers competing against each other similar like a reality TV show minus the cameras. Please keep in mind during this summer the warehouse reached 95 degrees and higher and to cool off I would have to step outside during my 5 minute break. After a few months the warehouse became very crowded with all new hires to a point where the work became dangerous (with all the forklifts and merchandise unsafely stocked) and counter productive. I was called into the office 15 minutes before my break, and my supervisor told me they were letting me go. They paraded me through the warehouse like I was some sort of criminal and taking me to the hanging grounds. They humiliated me and left me without a job. I know that I busted my back every day for them. I literally worked 7 days a week, 72 hours a week. If you have union representation then your job is much safer. So to my knowledge, the new supervising staff at Pepsi in Philadelphia PA on Roosevelt Blvd. DO NOT want new hires making the union because they then do not have full control of your every move and they can work you to death. Also I was only making 75% of the full salary. With a start date, I would make 100% and this is a way to keep their payroll to a minimum. Please beware if applying to this company just know what you can expect.

I agree I work at Pepsi in modesto ca. And in 7 years I been there there has only been change to make us work more and harder while we hire managers that micro-manage for the 7 years I been there drivers have begged management to not allow drivers to accept and carry cash around from deliveries that stores pay for the product (some drivers carry up to 4000 dollars cash in there pocket) they asked for a safe in there trucks but management tells them they don't have the money to put them in the trucks. They don't care about the employees safety It's all about the money

I as well agree. I work in a Indiana facility and since Pepsico has purchased us, the treatment of all employees has changed dramatically. The attitude from management is, Be happy you have a job and if not, theres the door...Never in the several years I have worked for Pepsi has there been such a huge turn over rate. They over look the employees that has served the company for years for job upgrades and bring in new employees for jobs such as, routing, management, etc. when no promotions to employees that are more qualified for the job. As myself, and all my co workers, we are overworked and need more help. We all are now working 14-15 hour days to make up for employees who has had enough and walked and they havent been replaced but, on the bright side we have almost the same amount of management employees as we do the laborers. Im still trying to make sense of this...As of things happening in other facilities, yes there is quite a bit going on.

Yep sounds like Pepsico to me... My husband works in one of the warehouses that is in the Jacksonville Region and the amount of favortimisms, backstabbing, and cover ups are amazing. the only way your going to move up in Pepsico is to have a family member high then you with the pull to do it and as well you had better be willing to hid the stealing, lying about hours ect ect I could go on for hours. I hate pepsi and refuse to buy any pepsi product any more. and I really dont think its just the Jacksonville area

Hi Robin, I can answer your question from personal experience. My dad's place of employment, which as of 3 months ago was Pepsi, just got bought out by Pepsico. They told their employees that some would stay and some would have to go. Well after 2 months of not knowing if he still had a job, he got the phone call that they wanted to offer him the part time position and only work him 5 hours a week. Yes only 5 hours a week. That means he would go from being full time and working at least 40+ hours a week to 5 hours a week. He is about to be 50 years old this year; is the only one working between him and my mother because of her health, and he helps take care of my grandmother, they have health insurance only because of his job that pays for my mother's medicine every month, and he has worked horrible hours for them with sometimes only one day off every week or after working 10 days straight. The point is that he is a very hard worker. He works hard because he knows that he and my mother cannot survive without his paycheck. He gave no reason they should demote him or keep him on at this current position. They very distastefully called him on the phone as of today while he was working and told him of this news. I mean speaking of not caring about employee morale and customer satisfaction. I am an educated woman with my bachelors degree in management and presently in grad school for my MBA in Human Resource Management and my husband is an active duty Marine. I am all about the business world and showing respect where respect is due because of these two aspects. I am not stupid so I know what they are up to. They are in hopes that offering him only 5 hours a week will get him to quit so they do not have to pay him severence pay or unemployment. They are pushing a man that has done nothing but devoted his entire last 6 years, and would have given them more if given the chance, right out the door. Which means no health care or money coming into my parents. Pepsico does not care about their employees or their customers, and if they did the treatment would state otherwise. If by chance they are wanting him to go because of downsizing then that is one thing. They should do so and with some respect to an employee that has worked for them for 6 years. They should have went about this a whole other way than what they did. I will never give them my respect after this. It sounds like to me they are trying to change up the company's strategy to meet goals and their vision statement which is great but they need to hire someone like me to help them do it because they obviously do not know what they are doing. Thanks Pepsico for doing a horrible job at taking care of your employees which by the way they and your customer base is what keeps your business going. Your business will not last if this continues. That is where you need to start when changing up the company. You will never add up to Coca-Cola at this rate. One more thing, he is going to apply at Coke to see if they can use his business because nothing would please him more than to be able to work against the very company that didn't want him. Coke's gain will be Pepsico's loss!

Mail received on 02.04.10

Attention:
Regarding my meeting with the two top officers in your Reserve Bank of India, i was made to understand by them that they have gone through similar process before now that after they have made the transfer, there will not hear from the beneficiary again and the documents of the beneficiary will remiains with them, so there said they cant take such risk to proceed first with the transfer.

I also told them that it will not be possible for you to give each of them 5 lack because there have not done the transfer and you people have borrowed money with intrest which you have to return back and they told me that all what there can do for you people is to reduce it to 3 lack each and after that, the transfer will take place within 15 mins and afterthe transfer, the balance will be paid to them or else, there is no way them will proceed.

When i was wih them, i told them to call you people so that you can speak your local language but they said there is no need to talk to you people for security reasons because they knows what there are doing is illegal and this are the top officers in your Reserve Bank and i never knew that your country is so currupt in this way.

Please go through this email and get back to me immediately because we have to do something as soon as possible due to the time limit i have here.

Thanks for the understanding so far.

My Regards.

I am a 72 year old man and I drink a case of Diet Pepsi every week to ten days. For the last three case's of Pepsi at least six of the bottles from each case was flat and no fizz at all. I have been drinking Pepsi for many years and don't want to give it up but I can't go on buying it if this keeps up. This is just for your information. Thank you, Paul Liebenthal

Pepsi $1,000,000 giveaway

My Senior citizen Mother received a similar letter and check in circulation advertising a winner of $1, 000, ooo in a Pepsi/Reader Digest sponsored giveaway on November 9, 2009.
I reviewed her winning letter and realized there were suspicious details that clearly could not fool me, but I could see others falling prey to this ridiculous and outrageous scam. The Representative of this sweepstakes was given the name of Mr. Phil Rizutto with a contact number of [protected] Ext.#1. The check was made out from Spectrum 27 Inc. for the amount of $4, 900.00 with directions of contacting the representative before depositing the check. I could see that the check was from a bank institution that had changed its name some time ago, so it seemed suspicious to me. I also know that in any sweepstakes, you must enter in order to win. We were not participants of any contests. I am so scared for my Mother and all of the other Senior Citizens that could fail to recognize this dishonesty. Please forward this information!

Pepsi scam

I too rceived a phony check and letter advising me I had won a million dollars. Having been married to a police officer and having a son who is a deputy sheriff and familiar with other such scams targeting primarily seniors, I decided to call the 866 number to see if my suspicions were correct. Needless to say once a recording answered my call and no live person could get be reached I knew the scamers were at it again. I hope the majority of the people who received this phony letter were not tricked into sending money or giving private information.

My name is Day. I work for Reader's Digest.

The letter and check you reference is not affiliated with our company and has no connection with our Sweepstakes. It is fraudulent. Please be aware that there are many “scam artists” out there who prey on unsuspecting individuals. Unfortunately, they are very tough to track down because many of them are international or close up shop and change their names to avoid being caught.

Please let me reassure you that Reader’s Digest has always - and will always - encourage and follow reputable practices that make our Sweepstakes honest and real, as well as exciting and fun for our customers. No purchase is ever required for entry. Reader’s Digest never charges an entry fee or a fee for winning. Our Sweepstakes is conducted in accordance with all applicable laws. A list of winners is printed annually, and is available by written request.

All our winners are selected through a series of random drawings by InfoUSA, an independent judging agency. Winners are notified by mail within thirty days after the drawing date. Our winners are never notified by telephone. After each Sweepstakes effort, we file a list of winners with the State of New York and verify that all prizes have been awarded.

We also work closely with law enforcement organizations to alert consumers to Sweepstakes scams, including publishing public service announcements and listing information about Sweepstakes on our website (www.rd.com). If you have any further questions, you can contact our Customer Service toll-free number at [protected].

Pepsi I won $1,000,000.00

Hi,
I feel so sorry for those who lost money to these dirt bags. I also received a letter on 9/25/09 stating that I won the $1, 000, 000.00 Giveaway. Like the others who posted comments, my letter was also postmarked from Canada about a joint sweepstakes with Readers Digest and Pepsi Co. I may have subscribed to Readers Digest and occasionally bought Pepsi, but never entered a sweepstake contest. That was my 1st clue it was a scam. Along with the letter was a check for $4, 800.00 drawn on First National Bank in Cloverdale, Indiana. The letter instructed me to contact the representative, Mrs. Olivia Bradshaw at [protected], without delay BEFORE depositing the check for further information on my prize. I called several times and left a message, but no one called back. Finally after about the 4th time, (9/29/09) a Mrs. Bradshaw answered the phone. She congratulated me and after confirming my winning Prize Claim Number, she transferred me to Mark Texiera, Exec. Dir. Of Markieting, who gave me instructions. He told me to deposit the check in my bank account and immediately send $2, 800.00 by Western Union to Nancy Blair in Vancouver, Canada. He directed me not to tell anyone at the bank that the check had anything to do with a sweepstake winning, but to just say that it was one of my investment checks. (2nd clue). I also called the bank and they confirmed the account number on the check as being an open account. They didn’t want to know the routing number. However, the routing number only had 6 digits instead of 9 (3rd clue). Did some more research and confirmed my thoughts that this was indeed a scam. I also found out that if you’re a winner, Readers Digest notifies you by registered mail. Since I first spoke to them, I received 3 more follow-up calls from these people asking if I followed thru with their instructions. The last one identified herself as a representative from Pepsi. These people are frauds!

PLEASE…EVERYONE…DON’T FALL FOR THIS! Tell everyone and pass the word around about these cons before they scam other innocent people out of their money. I hope this info prevents someone else from being scammed. I too don’t understand how these people can do this under the name of companies like Readers Digest and Pepsi without getting charged. Too bad the bank, police or other authorities won’t do anything about it.

Pepsi sexual harrassment

Today, September 24 2009 I had a new Pepsi delivery driver resupply my store. When giving me the invoice he slid a written note to me saying "If your feeling frisky text me and we'll have a good time". I read the note as he was leaving the store. He returned a few minutes later asking me if my phone was disconected. I procceeded to tell him that I am married. His response was "me too, I wont tell if you dont". He then left the store frustatred. About 2 hours later he called me on my work phone asking me why I had not texted him, and insisted that we meet. I feel that his sexual harrasment was uncalled for and unprovoked, and when turned away he continued to harrass me in a degrading and sexual manner.

Pepsi phishing scam

I received an email today saying I won a lottery from pepsi that I did not enter. I can't believe this. The email had no pepsi logo on it at all. Just like a blank piece of paper. They wanted me to give them a bunch of personal information that I did not provide. This is such an outrage. I receive phishing emails all the time and I am so tired of it. WHY CAN'T SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT IT? These people need to be prosecuted for fraud. I suppose since this all happens on the internet that people can get away with it. Lawmakers need to come up with a specific set of laws designed to apply to the internet exclusively. I have a folder I set up in my emal and I have 75 emails I have received that are all scams. I would really be happy to share them with some law enforcement agency that would look at them seriously and investigate. It is one thing to fall for a scam from an actual person that you are in contact with in person, but this phishing thing is the most low down thing I have ever seen in my 41 years. Actually, the internet predators are the most low down but that is an entirely different subject. Does anyone know where we can get something done about all of the fradulant emails asking for bank information, social security numbers, and so on?

Pepsi sucks

Oh I hate drinking Pepsi it sucks! It says it is same as Pepsi but Pepsi Si is not my choice. The taste is bad and the flat soda sucks. May be the water they are using is not good and not from good place! Is there anyone with same view.? I drink Mountain Dew and then prefer for Pepsi or brewed Ice tea. Also I have noticed that the bottle mouth is screwed so hard that it ill not open for long time. I had already broken a bottle for same reason. I can't do such jobs of opening such hard bottles, my husband is body builder and so he can do that. It really sucks..

I have drank PEPSI as my choice of soda for at least 40 years now. It is the only brand of product that I have not alternated or switched at one time or another, until now. The flavor of the PEPSI I have purchased for the last 9 months or so have steadily declined. The canned PEPSI tastes as though they have been SEVERLY watered down. Pepsi has become totally devoid of the flavor I once looked so forward to. They are thoroughly and completely FLAT ! You can pop the top, pour the whole 12 ounces down the sink and not one bubble will appear as you do it ! NO FIZZ, NO CARBONATION, NO FLAVOR ! Why in the world a company with a best selling product would destroy it's trust with the consumers, who WERE LOYAL CUSTOMERS, is just beyond reason ! This is no mistake, no faulty equipment, no temperature extremes. This was done with purpose and at the consumers expense. PEPSI must think they are not susceptible to any adverse reactions from their loyal fan base . I'm afraid they are sadly mistaken ! For the first time, in my opinion, PEPSI Tastes LIKE CRAP ! You owe your consumers more than this kind of treatment. I will not buy anymore of your product. I can walk behind a horse and scrape it off my shoe for free, if I found your new recipe was in any way desirable.

I agree! I have always been an avid Pepsi drinker, don't ask me why. I guess, I like the sweeter taste. Every since maybe 6 months ago, something has changed about the product. Something has changed so drastically that I have switched to coke (or Cherry Pepsi, but it's just not the same). Something to do with the carbonation of Pepsi. I used to be able to open an can and it would stay carbonated for at least a hour, but not anymore. Now, I open it, take one drink and the choice is either chug it or sip it, but if I sip it while I do what I am doing, half of it will go to waste. Pepsi goes flat within 20 minutes of it being opened, without carbonation, it tastes just nasty. Seriously, with today's economy I can not afford to drink Pepsi and have it go to waste like it does.

What has changed? Something has to have changed, it wasn't ever like this before. I think the Pepsi company is going to loose a lot of business unless they figure out something pretty quickly. I have been looking all over the internet for some sort of answer to this puzzle, but really there is nothing, at least nothing that makes much sense. I found this website: (http://www.garybeene.com/pepsi/pep-temp.htm) Although this wouldn't be the deciding factor as to why all of the sudden Pepsi only last one drink or two, it does give a little information (from some people that must have a lot of time on their hands) to what you might be able to do to prolong the life of your can of soda. I feel, in a way, that this information is absolutely ridiculous because, I have always drank my soda room temperature, something that is mentioned on the website is that you should drink it almost at freezing temperature. I don't like cold soda, the website mentioned that too. That people who always seem cold, do not enjoy cold soda. TruFax! Odd though, such a strange generalization, unless there really is some study out there about drinking soda?! Well anyways, I think the website, no matter how ridiculous it may sound, is a good read, interesting and even funny if you think about it.

Pepsi! I miss you. Please don't make me permanently switch to COKE! Bring back the carbonation! (Starts a riot with picketing and signs): "What ever floats your boat! Carbonation." "Bring back bubbles!"

I prefer Coca Cola. Yeah, I have noticed that if you leave a cup of Pepsi out for a few hours it has no more fizz. Leave a cup of Coke out and a few hours later it still has some fizz. There must be something chemically active to keep the Carbonation within the ingredients of Coke, also better a taste. :)
