Raymour & Flanigan Furniture charge card company - wells fargo

their finance company is from India. When I called them, to tell them, I lost my job. They are all forgeiners. You can't understand them, and they can't understand you. I'm a american, and tax payer, and I have NO JOB. I want the job, that they have. They would not do anything for me, as far a lower interest rate. The min payment, for me, was $35.00. I could only send them $20.00. They charge me a late fee, and raised the interest rate. I was never late, but because I didn't send the whole min., they charged me more. I called the store, and they said, that I would have to deal with wells fargo, and they wouldn't do anything either. I will NEVER NEVER, buy from Raymour and Flanigan again. BUY AMERICAN and DEAL WITH AMERI CANS.

Call wells fargo, see if u get a american to talk to. I was not late with my payment. I have the papers to prove it. Check out the BBB, and see what they say about R & F. That was over a year ago, and u r now just answering, my message. Hello, we are in a recession ? Oh, I forgot u don't read the paper, or watch tv. It is because of R & F., deal with foreign trade, that people are out of work. Buy American...read there labels, see where they are made !

Wells Fargo Bank do the finance for R & F Last time I looked Wells Fargo were an American Bank not Indian.

You didnt make your payment in full on time so you were late. What is so hard to understand about that?

YOU are responsible for making your payments on time no one else. Grow up and accept responsibilty for your own actions.

If you had no job why did you take on credit? Were the credit fairies going to make the payments for you?

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture what a horrible little woman

What a horible little person>Back inlate nov 07 I purchased theater sitting>needless to say the salesman order the wrong pieces then began to lie about the mistake>Well then this RUDE manager who moves from store to store getes involved, which made matters worse>the set had to be reorder with the correct pieces>This person "Angela' tried to charge me for the mistake that was made by the sales person>. Well I refused to take the order until it was corect>this Angela person was RUDE and continued to harrass me into taken an incomplete order>I was only waiting for the console piece that the salesman said would fit with my theater seating, of couse it did not... I will never shop there again, I belive raymour and Flanigan needs to retrain everyone, including mamangers>I am writing this now because the set has since fallin apart (in home for about 1 year)>Now once again I am in battle to have the set looked and and fixed, the service plan, which was discribed to me incorrectly, is the most difficult service to get thru and have someone to take care of>I have to wait 3 weeks before the techn... comes out to my home>now is that convient>of course not*My advise is to stay away from this store and purchase elsewhere! Ordered a sofabed in November. I was given a date of 12/11 for delivery. They never showed up. Several calls that day led them to finally inform me that it had gone to the wrong warehouse (on Long Island) instead of to the one in Poughkeepsie so it could not be delivered. It took them until 3:30 that afternoon to tell me this. I had taken the day off from work and waited all day. After apologies they said they'd call when it was in the correct warehouse to set up a new delivery. It took more than a week of calls from me to finally find out it was ready. I had been told they would give me a date that would accommodate my schedule as this was for a house two hours north of my home. They then said it could only be delivered on Wed or Fri. I reluctantly agreed to 12/23. I took the day off from work, drove the 2 hours and AGAIN waited all day. AGAIN they did not come. AGAIN it took until 3:30 to find out that it was supposedly damaged and would not be delivered! They told me that they had left a message that morning to this effect. NO SUCH MESSAGE WAS EVER LEFT. I cancelled the order. I had to go to the original store to get a refund including the delivery charge but no compensation for all the time, tolls, gas and inconvenience that this had cost me. I would never trust them again.

So... I am NOT alone! Here is my nightmare story with Raymour and Flanigan- June of 2017, I purchased a cafe height dining room table which came with 4 chairs, however I also purchased an additional 4 chairs as the table is square and fits 8. It took 3 months and several deliveries before they even began to get it right. Actually, I was so sick of dealing with the person that called herself a manager, and was more like a rookie that I just accepted the order. I took 4 deliveries (32 chairs later) to get just 8 chairs with little defects, On the first round, someone in the warehouse had literally sawed off the plastic sliders in the bottoms of the feet of each chair. After I refused that entire delivery, the next delivery, the guys brought a chair off the truck that had glue all over it from a huge sticker that was covering the entire seat of the chair (all wood). I told him not to even take it off the truck and he said "Why, we can rub that right off" Do these ###s think that when you buy a chair at $179 each, they should be delivered like that? I told him I paid for NEW furniture and was accepting nothing less... if I wanted that crap, I could have gone to a garage sale! That delivery was also refused in full. Next came 6 phone calls to managers who NEVER returned my calls. Finally after demanding to speak with someone that night, another incompetent "manager" called me back and was quite rude. I had to remind her the cost of my purchase and that we would not be having the conversation at all, if their merchandise was of better quality. She "assured" me that my next delivery would be perfect... you guessed it... it WAS NOT! On the third delivery, which was @ 8:15 pm, instead of 5:30... none of the eight chairs were covered in the truck, so needless to say, when they were brought into my home, 7 out of 8 of them were marked up and had scratches where the finish was worn off. You're going to love this... the delivery man told me not to worry about it... they had a "marking pen" and they would color in the scratched so I wouldn't see them! He then proceeded to indeed "color" my NEW furniture in front of me. I was LIVID. While they were still bringing more pieces off the truck, I was calling the manager to let her know what was going on. Now mind you, in all of this hassle, that continued for 3 months... not once did they try to make anything right. It was blamed on the manufacturer, or the warehouse, but no one seemed to take ownership for the terrible delivery service, customer service or anything else. So in September, I finally accepted less than perfect dining room furniture.

( as I had given away my previous set and was tired of eating from TV trays!) and I am still not satisfied. On Christmas day, while I was eating dinner with my family, one of the rungs on the chair I was sitting on snapped in half. I was resting my feet there... not standing on it or applying any pressure whatsoever. I called Raymours to inquire about their warranty... and lets just say... I still have a broken chair... that they wouldn't even consider replacing. You would think after all of the documented conversations and hassle I had with the store in Syracuse NY, they would have done something to make it right. WRONG!

Since then, several screws have fallen out of the chairs. Some that hold the rungs together, some from where the seat is attached to the chair. The set cost approx $1400... so it wasn't cheap, just cheaply made!

So the way I have chosen to deal with the situation is to tell as many people I can of my experience. I will NEVER... as long as I live EVER purchase another piece of furniture from Raymour and Flanigan. There are so many other places that will bend over backwards for your business with better quality merchandise. I am done with their incompetence and rudeness.

I ordered a sleeper sofa at the end of January. It was a special custom order with a coil mattress--which is a regular mattress with an inflatable air mattress built in which needed a pump. I was told because this was a special order it would take approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Upon delivery sometime in the middle of March--it was delivered--with the wrong mattress. I also ordered a matching loveseat--which came--without FEET. I immediately called the store--and was told--that a coil mattress is a special order--NO KIDDING! I knew that when I ORDERED IT. It took four weeks of constant calling and being given the run around to finally get the mattress--however, they did not bring the PUMP--which needed in order to inflate my special custom order mattress. I am still waiting for the pump to be delivered. I have been calling and getting the "manager" who is supposed to call back and never does. Warning: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE.

In January of 2017 I ordered a sofa but went with one of several alternate fabric colors. The sofas arrived 2 months later and were too big for my formal livingroom. I visited Raymour's website and called customer service. Because the sofas were "custom" I could not return or exchange. I tried to deal with the furniture for 2 months and because it didn't fit... never used the room.

I finally went into the store and begged them to investigate. The store manager assured me that he would look into it. Two weeks later I called and was directed to the regional manager. The regional manager said he would look into it then called me back a few days later. The regional manager said he'd offer me a 50% markdown to take the furniture back. I asked him if the offer was to discourage me and he said "yes".

What kind of place is this? There is NO service to properly educate customers on this topic. NOTHING is on the website. NOTHING is in their stores. And best of all.. they will offer you some ridiculously low amount to get you to GO AWAY!

We have made multiple purchases from this store over the past few years due to lack of options. In general, it is overpriced junk. We bought a couch that was comfortable for the first year or two, and then the cushions and pillows started to become limp. Both my wife and I work full time and are >175 pounds, so it is not a case of overuse or stretching the physical limits of the couch.

Then, we bought an entertainment center from them. During delivery, they broke one of the legs on the center stand and ignored it happened. When I found it, they said I didn't mention it during delivery (which I could not have done because it happened as they slid it into place and I didn't find it until I was hooking up the television a few days later) so nothing could be done. Replacement was out of the question as they did not offer this model anymore.

Now, we just bought a bedroom set with the promise of no interest until 2017, provided we pay the first bill on time. We did not receive our first bill which prompted me to call customer service. Somehow, they had sent the bill to our address from 2 moves ago, even though they had billed us correctly for the entertainment center at our last residence and delivered to the correct address both times. We finally received out first bill (technically our second, since the first went to the wrong house, which I managed to pay anyway over the phone) and lo and behold, there was interest charged. I called CS again and they said I signed up for No Interest if I pay the entire balance (over $3000) within 30 days. Now I am disputing that.

Also, the salesperson that sold us the bedroom set "no longer works there".

Nice.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I recently went to this store looking for furniture. The sales person begged us to open a line of credit since he gets a kick back from that. We decided not to get the furniture because of issues with shipping dates and asked the sales person to cancel the order. About 3 weeks later, we received a Raymour and Flanigan credit card! Despite the fact that we never signed any paperwork or authorized this account to be opened. I believe this actually amounts to credit card fraud.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture 125th street new york, ny

I purchased a couched from raymour and flanigan and was very disatisfied with the company's service I was promised my couch would be delivered on Saturday April 4, 2009 by the sales rep. I spoke with the rep. on Wednesday April 1, 2009 she guareteed my item would be there and she would call me back to confirmed the time. She never returned my call I did not call her back because it was late and I figured she placed the order and was to busy to call me back. I called the following day and was told she never placed the order I am very disgusted with raymour and flanigan, I was told they were booke, I have company coming to my house and no couch I can not change my plans these people are coming from out of town. I am a very busy woman I work full time and go to school full time thats 5 classes a week, with 35 hours week When a customer makes a purchase they should not be scammed just so they can make a sale. I will never purchase anything from raymour and flanigan again and will make it my business to tell future customers strangers on the street, family and friends who are considering purchasing anything from your company not to shop there. And to make sure they log on to your website for compliants. My time is very valuable. In these days and times where the economy is in a recession and businesses are being forced closed I would think your company would try and please their customers so, they could give great reviews to other future customers, another thing with the economy the way it is and people are spending their hard earned money and this is the kind of service they recieve. This kind of service is unacceptable and is a diservice to me and my guest. I am remodeling my entire home but will be taking my hard earned money and my valuable time to another company who treats their customers with dignity and professionalism.

To get this straight, you will not shop at any Raymour & Flanigan because one mis guided salesperson did the wrong thing? Hmmm. Sorry, that doesn't make much sense to me. I do sympathize with your plight, but the frustration should be taken out on that person. If the salesperson was unprofessional then that should be taken up with that location shouldn't it? This may be hitting close to home with me because I own a small business with 3 locations. I had a similar situation where one of my employees acted...let's say, out of character. The person affected did not even contact me to let me know of the situation. This employee has been dealt with and customer apologized too, but still the damage has been done. If you are not taking this up with upper management and just coming on to this site to complain, you are only leaving the door open for more people to be adversely affected by this salesperson.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture liar salesmen

Bought furniture(bedroom set) 4 years ago when I was straight out of college. Didn't have enough money to buy straight out so opted to go the layaway route. I worked int he Schnectady, NY region then and happened to walk into the Raymour and Flanigan store just to check out layaway plans. I had not intention of actually purchasing the furniture right away. the saleman who greeted me was pleasant but with a shifty kind of appearance that I didn't pay much attention to at the time...in hindsight I should have! upon inquiring, he informed me that they didn't have any layaway options but that he could possibly help me get store financing. I agreed-BIG MISTAKE! I got approved for a $3000 credit line, and you can only imagine my glee! After walking around the showroom, I finally picked the bedroom set that I wanted and in my naivity, thought that I could come back probably the next day or so to finalize the sale. So I asked what the interest rate was and he replied "2%" very quickly while maintaining eye contact(didn't even bat an eyelid) I was overjoyed to say the least, because I mentally calculated that my payments would be very affordable. Fast forward to 45 days later...
Imagine my shock when the 1st bill stated an APR of 24%! it's 2% alright, but 2% per month! I immediately called the store demanding to speak to the salesman but was told that he no longer worked in the store. I explained to them what had transpired but they said that since I had signed the agreement, I was bound by it. I was fuming and my protests, of course, went unheard.
So 4 years and $94.00 per month payments later, I have finally paid off the furniture but have SWORN NEVER EVER to visit this shady company again.
My friends and family have been warned and thank God they have listened. Beware of those inviting ads on tv about no interest for such and such a period...complete lies.!
Lesson learned..take a deep breath and read the fine print

While I do agree with you about Raymour and Flanigan and their misleading salesperson, no interest offers are not false. You as the buyer must read your contract before you sign...if you look at your copy I am sure all details are listed there. Never listen to what the salesman tells you...READ the terms for yourself. I LOVE no payment/no interest terms. I have purchased every piece of furniture and every appliance for my home in this manner. You MUST have the payment by the end of the term or you will be gouged with interest. If you are a responsible borrower and pay the loan off in its entirety you will NOT pay interest. I have received thousands of dollars in interest free loans while I earned interest on the money in the bank and then paid the loan back on the due date.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture bad furniture and bad service

I've checked out these sites before and always read them with a grain of salt, so trust me when I tell you that Raymour and Flanigan is the worst! I could write paragraph upon paragraph (as I did is several letters to their customer service dept), instead, I'll give you the highlights of our terrible experience with R&F:
-The salespeople can be vicious
-The delivery people stink, keep a close eye on them!
-We rec'd a wrong piece in our bedroom set, it was a pain to get it corrected and getting our $100 refund was NOT easy! (the piece we wanted was cheaper than the one we rec'd and were charged for, we had to go to the store 4 times to finally get our money back for their mistake!)
-The bed was set up cheaply and improperly with wood slats to hold up the box spring, it broke within days and was finally replaced with a metal frame
-The bedroom furniture is not wearing well and the corners are losing their 'wood finish'
-Our dining set is now falling apart...literally splitting apart
-We had a 'technician' come with replacement legs and table base, but those were splitting out of the box, and we found out that the table is no longer being sold in the stores
-After contacting them, we are allowed to do a 'reselect' and choose a new dining set. Of course the only one that is comparable to what we have is $1000 more than what we orginally spent
-We are going to the store tomorrow to 'see what the manager can do' to help us with our problem and to get the new table, I'll keep you posted!
-BOTTOM LINE - DO N OT SHOP THERE, TERRIBLE, CHEAP QUALITY AND SHODDY CUSTOMER SERVICE!
(FYI we bought our dining and bedroom sets in May 2008 and had them delivered in June 2008. It is now March 2009 and they are falling apart and look like crap! R&F may have good prices, but don't get sucked in, spend a few extra bucks and get something of good quality and save yourself the headaches!)

This "chain" store is so commission driven its not funny. Horrible company with poor service and if the sales agent doesn't seem a commission in you...they walk away. Attempting to use a gift card from a large purchase we made (the gc was part of our deal) and now cannot use the card. Trying to get a sales agent to help was not happening.
I reported this chain to the BBB and was advised that they have mentioned they have numerous complaints with them. (wouldn't give details but knew exactly what I was talking about in my report). Steer clear of this sales-driven, want your $$$ only chain and go elsewhere.

You need over 1 1/2 " to be considered defective BY THE ( and all)MANUFACTOR the store sells it they don't make it. Yes in 1 months time you get the dent. Wood slats do not void a warrantee you need at least 3 of them and if the bed is a queen size the center one needs to have a leg to the floor. 30 yrs in furniture service bizz

I agree with you 100%. They sell the most poorly made furniture I have ever purchased. I have purchased my entire household of furniture from another fruniture store which unfortunately has gone out of business. Last spring I went to R&F and purchased a bed, mattress and chair. They also put the wrong slats on my bed and I had to fight with them to come back with the metal ones. Thanks god the salesman had told me in the store that the mattress warranty is not valis with wood slots which is why they used metal ones. Then they show up and install wood ones anyway! Within 3 months the mattress (Stearns and Foster $1300) had a large divot on one side, you have to role up hill when you turn over. They came out but said "It's ONLY a 1 inch divot...thats within normal wear"...in 3 months...are you kidding me. Have been fighting with them ever since, but they are rude and DO NOT care! Will NEVER buy from them again.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture extremely poor quality and bunch od liars

My husband and i bought a dining set from them and paid in check upfront. unfortunately when the delivery peoplecame into the house and as they we're assembling the table we noticed that one corner of the table was torn open, we could see what the table was made of compressed wood, when the salesperson at the store told us that it was solid wood and of highest quality... but actually it was not. I paid good money for a solid dining table and they deliver me compressed wood?... and then as i was trying to get in touch with the store they directed me to the delivery office who handles the delivery, during this time i was on the phone the delivery people we're trying to hurry up and leave us the damaged table, we told them to hold on and stay until we get somebody on the phone and get this straighten out... and this got the delivery people upset. ..and then the person i talked to over the phone was stupid enough to tell me to juts keep the table ( because i told her i needed the table that night i was having a dinner party that night and i needed a table) and they'll just send somebody to come fix it when they can schedule it...ARE THEY F... kidding?... i paid good money to buy a damaged table... is this what Raymour and Flanigan is all about?/... we'll get your money and we'll give you any crap we want?
They suck !... of course i asked for money back, and they told me they would send me a check in one week... i waited and 2 weeks passed and still no check, i follow up and they said they already mailed the check and was surprised that we haven't recieved it yet... they said they will cancel the initial check since it was already mailed out and send me another one but unfortunately i have to wait another week because they only cut check on a friday... and so i wait again, and lo and behold i got the check but it was mailed wednesday, not the friday they said was the only day they cut checks... LIARS LIARS LIARS...they never mailed me an initial check, and they selll CRAP!1CRAp CRAP CRAp CRAP

I bought a rich brown living room set from Raymore and Flanigan and have had problem after problem with it! They promise delivery in three days or less, it took them over a week to deliver a ripped couch(two foot rip). I live 3 miles from the warehouse. Then another week to get a couch that is of poor quality. I paid over two thousand dollars for a couch and love seat. The recliner part of the couch would not recline properly, when they came to "fix" it twice it never got any better. To top it all off the dark brown leather turned orange in areas after six months. When they sent someone to fix it he said he could put a paint on it but it would rub off on our clothes! So over two thousand dollars later and my furniture is falling apart withing six months. Their customer service is also terrable!

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture poor managment

Re: A purchase from hell:

Raymour & Flanigan,
Franklin Mills Store

On Sept. 7, 2008 I purchased a Shelburne king size bedroom set from your Franklin Mills store. When the bedroom set was delivered, I did not see a screwpoint on the headboard sticking up through the top which held the lamp underneath the headboard on. When my husband came home from work that day he noticed it immediately and called the store the customer service told him because I accepted the delivery I can’t return it. I had to give up a one time return policy to have them give me an undamaged headboard. This was a manufacture defect per one of your techs, I found out later. When I purchased the set I told Mike that I wanted this set and the chest. I never received the chest. Mike told me he did not add that to the order and I would have to come to purchase that and would have to pay another $75 delivery charge. When I came in he apologized and told me he will give me the discount of $75 to make up for the mistake. I thanked him and went on my way. That weekend we set the bed up. We discovered the base is incorrect. The drawers should be at the bottom and the empty panel at the headboard per the R&F website imagine. The footboard also does not line up with the pre-drilled holes that the manufacture had made. The one I have now has the drawers at the headboard leaving me unable to access the two drawers. I called the store to speak with Mike he told me to just move the nightstand when I need to access them. I told him the nightstand was heavy and hard to move. He told me to leave enough room between the two so I can access it. according to the direction their is a right and left base. I had to wait 3 wk. for a tech to come out and agree it was the wrong side and I showed him the directions, he drew a diagram and I signed it. I got a call saying the drawer base will be delivered. I took the day off and when it was delivered the person said it’s them same one that I have now. I paid over $3600.00 for this set it was not a floor model nor an outlet item. Finally they said they will special order the base. They Finally ordered the correct base On 12/15 I got a call and was told the base was in. On 12/20 I was told the base was badly damaged and there will not be a delivery today. I could of cried. Till this day 12/26/2008 I have not received the correct drawer base.

When I received my bill that I financed through Wells Fargo and it had finance charges on it of $75. I called and spoke to Cust. Service and they told me that because the items were made on different days I was not eligible for the 2012 no interest charge. It should of been made on one day but Mike never placed the order correctly. On 12/20 I received my bill again and the finance is still there.
I called them again and was told the manager is now gone to redo the bill and charge me reg. price for the bedroom set. I told the women I didn’t receive a sale price. She told me I will be charged for the special order base charge and the full cost of the chest with two delivery charges which would come to $4119.00 then, I can have no financing till 2012 “she said because see SWEETIE you can’t have them both”. I can’t believe how I have been treated. My husband wants the set out of the house because of the way he was treated. I was not rude with them. I love this set. After talking to them on 12/20 I agree with my husband, I would also like the bedroom set taken out. I have always brought from R&F. They are a decent business and won’t close there doors tomorrow morning. I could of received this experience from La Donne’ furniture. My mom always brought her furniture from Mealy’s. I will also from this from point on. I am in need of a livingroom set, a childs bedroom set, and a king size mattress. I am sorry to say R&F will not receive my business. I would like the furniture to be picked up I will no longer deal with the store.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture damaged goods

Purchased $3700 bedroom set. 4 pcs arrived, 3 were damaged one of the 3 made incorrectly from manufacturer with bubbling of the finish and peeling of the paint. Waited a week for service. Service fixed one pc two pcs needed replacement. I am still waiting on replacement for 2 pcs, it is week 3. Service has had 12 pcs of furniture looked at for possible delivery to replace what I have. All 12 pcs have been damaged and did not pass inspection. It's been 3 weeks now with 3 delivery dates scheduled and cancelled because they do not have new undamaged furniture to bring to a customer. Store manager says sorry and I have yet to see some action toward a resolution. The absolute worst customer service I have ever had. Inferrior products damaged by delivery and damaged when they were made with inferrior paint materials. Delivery people schlep through your home over your new beige carpets, no booties, no taking shoes off, no wiping of shoes, no regard for a customers home. This company should pay us to take their furniture and should pay us for carpet cleaning. I do not care if it takes them 8 weeks to get a decent undamged pc of furniture. I will call the store every single day and each day I wait, more money is coming off my bill or they can pick up what is here in my home and retrieve it off the pile in my front yard on their next "delivery date" coming out to "hamlin". Just terrible unacceptable service.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture Horrible Company

Do not purchase ANYTHING from this store. I purchased a small table & 2 chairs in Feb. 2007. 3 weeks ago one of the back legs to the chair cracked and fell off. I called the company to have it fixed, set up a date for repair and have been getting the run around since. There has been 3 calls asking what part it is.I received a call 2 days ago cancelling the service call because the part was never ordered. Today they just called to "confirm" the service call?!?! . While speaking with the rep "Shawna" I gave a history of the calls and told her I was very confused. Do they have the part or not? I expressed my frustration and stated and I want the chair repaired asap or I want it replaced. Guess she didn't like having to deal with MY frustration and is now dening my claim stating that now they will not repair my chair because it is in my office?!?!? I have made it very clear from the beginning the chair is in my office (by the way, it is RARELY sat in, the chair is very poor quality). The 3 reps I have spoken to in the past never said anything about this. I asked to speak to the manager twice and Shawna refused to transfer my call.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! The quality of the furniture is HORRIBLE and the customer service is even worse. Next time I'm going to Ikea!

DO NOT BUY ANY THING FROM RAYMORE and Flanigan... THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND RIP YOU OFF... We purchased a living room set for out Great room, which is barley ever used. Recently we decided to put a new hardwood floor in our living room and to also buy a new living room set. That being said we had to use the living room set from Raymore in our great room for the past two months. We notice the cushioning on the chairs went flat in less than 60 days of using them. We have a Platinum protection plan so we called the service and just got the call that we are not covered if the cushions are now flat. We have a five year Platinum protection plan and had the set for 2 years, and only used it for the past two months. This company is a total rip off. And we will never purchase anything from them ever again. I am about to take these two chairs and bring them right into the store in Freehold where we purchase them from so all their customers could see that they are a total rip off..

the Sales Person at the Walden ave Location in Cheektowaga NY told mee he couldnt Help us cos there was no Commision that Benefited him to help us with our Purchase.. he totally put the cart before the horse and completely can care less about anything beyond a Paycheck which goes to show why Service is such CRAP at this Store..

we arrived to look at purchasing a Brand New Livingroom set and ARE long time Raymore and flanigan Purchasers .. we've spent up wards of $3k on our last livingroom sofe and love seat alone.. with this said.. we recently spent $1500.00 on a bed set WITH the additional Platnum Coverage in the event we wanted to upgrade.. soo upon walking in to the show room and being SHALLOWLY Greeted by a Sales Person Named Martin.. i asked him to see a mattress a step UP from the one we currently purchased cos i was trying to see if we purchased the right HE pretty much made a DASH to the rear of the store and we had a hard time keeping up with him.. we shoulda left.. upon catching up to him he was standing next to a mattress set that he didnt seem to lnow ANYTHING about and i had to reiterate i can tell by merely siting on it it was to soft and a lesser quality then the set we currently have.. i asked to see a mattress set a step up from the Queen size we purchased.. and OFF he ran and we made a comment that the store should have scooters to help customers keep up with the Employees at the store.. THAT didnt bowed well.. we got Attitude.. he took us to see a mattrss set 2 twice the cost of our current set and again were not sure what this Guys Deal was but he was Very Unprofessional.. we asked to see a matress he Raced past and he said he cant and cant sell or show us anything any more and need to go get the Store Manager to help us cos this seems to be a Platnum Plus Issue.. i explained to him its not were only there to see other mattresses and if ge can take us back to the other mattress he ran past we would be appreciative.. he then said theres no commision in helping us .. were we then said WOW.! and asked where his professionalism is.. he then told us to get out of HIS store .. we couldnt help but laugh and think OmGOSH.! who is this GUY and who does he think he is.. we then said we would like to see the Manager at this point cause he needs a NEW JOB.. he THEN TOLD US getting in our face to walk faster (OMG.!) this Guys gotta be on something.. thats the problem we had with him the moment we walked in and that he walked wayyyyyy to fast for us to keep up.. when we got to the Manager.. another OMGOSH moment .. he looked like he was 23 and a PUNK trying to impress people with the suit he was in and never handled our on set of your concerns by excusing the other Employees standing around him .. nothing Professional about this place.. and in the back ground the Sales Guy repeated theres no Commision in helping us cause were there for the Platnum Plan when we WERENT.! we were there to look at a livingroom set and merely wanted to see a mattress set a grade up from the one we purchased..

Spent $6400.00 on a living room set in July 2009. Saw a cheaper one on line which brought us into the store - but it lookd like it was really bad quality. We saw a complet e living set with tables that visually looked beautiful - loved material, colors and style. Paid much more thatn expected to pay - but I figured spending that much would have quality furniture.

Called in a complaint - toook 1 mos to get appt and they took pictues and said they could either fix the issue or to go to the store for a replacement.

The material (velour type) after sitting in it leaves an indent in the material and cushion - looks like a 3000 lb person sat on it.

Also when you sit on it the material looks worn - fibers go in different directions an itlooks like it has paw prints on it - that don't smoothe out.

Well the furniture is only 3 mos old and it looks like over 1 yr old. Don't know what it will look like when more people sit in it.

Service took pics and said they would gt imported to store and we could pull up the file. Went to the store and the woman said theree were no pics on file - they went to customer service and they said there is nothing wrong with the furniture and that its my perception and ther is notheing wrong. Service tech. also noted other complaints.

Both the mgr and service rep treated me with no respect - did not care or try to resolve the problem - kept saying it was my perception.

After complaining to SCott Levy he said I could pick out new furniture and pay $20% re-stocking fees plus delivery charges.

And this is after paying $65000.00 that is poorly made ; poor quality - generic workmanship & manufacturer.

Raymore and Flanagan does not uphold it commitment to selling quality furnmiture and do not try to make the customer satisfie.

DO NOT BUY ANY FURNITURE FROM RAYMORE & FLANAGAN . Notice when you walk into the store the salespeople look like vultures.

Whole heartedly agree. They SUCK! Purchased ALL the furniture from my home there. Last time I went in to purchase a game table and coffee table for my family rooom. And the women didn't even give us a discoutn nor FREE SHIPPING ( I LIVE 1 MILE AWAY). SHE SURE DID STALK US THROUGHOUT THE STORE THOUGH! On top of this the set she recommended ended up looking black in my house (wanted a dark brown) they wouldn't let me exchange it for something else. Recently I found the same exact dinette that matches the coffee table online. NOW WHY COULDN"T SHE MENTION THERE WAS A COLLECTION? Horrbile, and get this-she was a "Manager." Stay Away PLEASE!

I purchased a bed frame, sofa and wall unit for my new home from Raymore and Flanigan. The sofa was a custom order and it came in early, I was thrilled.

Delivery Attempt 1: I got a phone call at 7:00 to tell me the wall unit was not going to deliver this week. There was a PROBLEM WITH THE GLASS DOORS. But all other pieces will deliver.

Delivery Attempt 2: They sent two people to my home NEITHER SPOKE ENGLISH and therefore could not communicate with me. THE WALL UNIT WAS SCRATCHED ON THE FRONT CENTER. The deliveryman wanted to leave the product and tried touching it up with a sharpie marker and telling me it was okay!

Delivery Attempt 3: I was promised to be the first delivery at 9:00 am. At 10:00 I called customer service and was told they were in traffic near my home. I looked at google’s live traffic to see that there was no traffic where the customer service person claimed there to be traffic. Also, I asked if the drivers this week will be English speaking and the woman answered me saying since she is bilingual if I have problems communicating she is more than happy to translate via the phone. IN AMERICA, DEALING WITH AN AMERICAN COMPANY, I EXPECT PEOPLE TO COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE SENDING PEOPLE TO MY HOME.
I called the manager whom told me they messed up the delivery schedule and I would have wait for them until 1:00.

Customer service is polite and quick to answer. But they just tell the customers what they want to hear and then do what they wish while on your clock.

Unless you have all the time in the world to wait for them to get their act together I would never buy another product from them again.

I too had a horrible experience. The sales guy and manages were terrible! They delivered the wrong cushions with my couch. I called to have them deliver the correct ones and the sales guy said they would be here within 2 weeks. 3 weeks later when they were not here, I called and the sales guy CALLED ME A LIAR! saying that he had said it would take 6-8 weeks to get here. He continued yelling and then hung up on me. 12 weeks later, I got my saggy, lopsided cushion. I wouldn't NEVER shop there again. A shame for them too as I am furnishing a whole house. It was the lack of customer service that got me more than the product.

I bought a couch from Raymore & Flanigan in July of 2009 - had it delivered on August 1, 2009 and it came with FLEAS! By the time I realized it - my whole apartment was infested with fleas.

Customer Service is a joke. They would not pick it up and put it with their new furniture to be delivered nor would they refund my money. They asked me to take it out myself or wait for them to find a truck that would pick it up. They had no idea when that would be.

They are just awful - I got rid of my couch on my own - they were supposed to credit my account which I had to fight them for it. NEVER EVER BUY FROM RAYMORE & FLANIGAN!

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture incomprehensibly poor customer experience

Purchased youth bedroom set in early Aug 2, 2008. Paid in full. Two pieces arrive functional but damaged. One of the pieces is replaced Oct 18 after 4 prior failed replacement attempts. Customer Service manager promises $119 credit to make up for my troubles and promises to replace the other defective piece.

On Oct 31 one of the bed rails fails and bed is unusable. Customer service says bedroom is no longer manufactured and can neither be repaired or replaced. Also states they will be unable to replace/repair the other defective piece. I am referred back to the store.

Credit for $119 was never received.

Nov 4 Yonkers store manager claims ownership for resolving this issue. I propose a partial credit and that I will get the furniture repaired myself. Changing the bedroom is too difficult because entire room was accessorized to match (including carpet and wall paper).

Nov 11 Regional Manager agrees to my proposal and claims I will receive credit shortly.

Nov 21 Store claims they have processed credit but their credit card provider claims they have not received the credit. I remain stuck in the middle.

The above summary does not begin to illustrate the experience which I have been documenting in painful detail on a dedicated blog

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture couch & love seat

I brought a couch and loveseat from this company and when I received it, it was uncovered and they tried to put it in the house. Unfortunatly it wouldn't fit in the front door and I had them leave it because I had the back door blocked off. They gave me a sheet to sign saying I gave them permission to leave the furniture outside, which I signed, not knowing that I should of looked it over. When they left I notice that the furniture was damage, but because I sign the form they said they can't replace it. They can two times to my home with new couches and was told to take it back because it wasn't there fault. I paid $2000.00 for 2 pieces and you think I would damage my own furniture? The crazy thing is I believe the driver and I should of read the fine print and look over everthing before they left.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture horrible customer service

Purchased a couch from them 6 months ago- it now looks like it is 10 years old. I purchased the platinum protection plan and was told that if a tech came out and found it to be beyond repair that I would receive a replacement or refund. Well, the tech did come out and he did find that. He said the whole couch was damaged and there was nothing that could be done to fix it. I never received a call back regarding what was going to happen next. When I finally got through to someone, I was told my whole warranty is voided because there appeared to be cat scratches on the couch. The whole reason I purchased the plan was because the salesman told me it would protect against cat scratches. They refuse to give me a refund and say all they can do is send another tech out to look at it. I am confused and saddened. My 6 month old couch looks like it is 10 years old. Regardless of the warranty, my money should be refunded because they sold me such poor quality furniture. Has anyone had success filing a complaint with their credit card company or the better business bureau? Those are my next steps, aside from trying to get together a class action suit.

Salesperson rude..kept leaving us once a prior customer returned to pick out additional items. 45 mins wasted waiting for her.

When we were unsure about the size of a large piece, the saleslady informed us that we should order it anyway because of the sale, and there would be no problem with return. Ha!

First we had to deal with the store manager... after 5 phone calls, it was decided that I would be allowed to return the furniture.

2 weeks it took up space in my home, despite them knowing that I was scheduled to have carpet laid on that room. The third week my husband and son had to rent a dolly to take the 3 heavy pieces out to my garage. A total of 3 weeks of inconvenience.

Now finally, delivery date was set...between 8am and 1pm on my day off, a beautiful day that I could have spent outdoors with my family.

At 2:45 pm, I received a phone call stating that the men still had 3 stops ahead of me. Nice of them to call, finally! The little voice saying "I'm sorry" meant nothing to me.

Thank goodness, I purchased on a 1 month billing with no interest charge, and did not pay them anything. If it is that difficult for them to pick up their own goods, can you just imagine how they would be with returning my money!?!

I'm just wondering what couch you purchased... because I too bought a couch from them and after 6 months of use the cushions were flat, it is difficult to get out of because the springs provide such little support and the upholstery was worn out! I they sent me two sets of new cushions after numerous phone calls and conversations with customer service (the second set I paid $90 for higher density cushions!)... both of which felt as if they wore out in a matter of months... I demanded a tech come again a little over a year after it was originally purchased. He informed me that there was nothing they would do... the couch is deep set and because of the "poor spring structure" the cushions would always seem flattened. They would not refund my money and informed me that is was no longer under warranty (they only honor the one year from the manufacturer). I also purchased the Platinum Protection Plan... it doesn't cover horrible design and craftsmanship! I paid $2300 for my couch and over sized chair... ridiculous considering it looks 10+years old in less than 2 years. I was under the impression the Raymour and Flannigan was a reputable business... apparently not... it seems to me as though they knew the problem was the spring design all along and conveniently informed me of that after it was no longer under warranty. I will NEVER buy from them again! By the way the couch was called Chunkster. Don't buy it!

Does the warranty not clearly state that damage cause by animal beaks, teeth and claws is not covered? It does. Is there not any personal responsibility as consumer to read the warranty information? Should someone that has pets that destroy their furniture have the same rights as someone who doesn't have pets? Have you once purchased an insurance where they went over the entire agreement with you during the sale? I can almost guarantee no. It's your choice to have cats, and it's your choice not to have the declawed. Even if they were to replace this sofa, your animal would just destroy the next, just as quickly. And think about the environmental impact you'd be making having them replace a sofa, that will then have to be destroyed, because you choose to have cats. You are not the victim, this is all self imposed.

Do I understand you correctly? You purchased a couch that your cat used as a scratching post? and you want a warrantee to cover it? No warrantee will cover neglect, or abuse, such as Cat Claw tears, next time, save the money you would spend on the extra protection, and de-claw the cat with it.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture sofa

Buyer Beware

We recieved our sofa on 10/3/08 and 3 days afterwards the sofa began looking old and worn. The throw pillows has lost half of its stuffing and shape, and the seat cushions are flat. We are not overweight people and are hardly home to enjoy the product. Even if we were, the merchandise shouldnot disintegrate after 3 days. I contacted customer service in NJ and the first rep. I spoke to attempted to make it my responsibility to call the repair department in Connecticut to ascertain an appointment. So, I called again and spoke with someone a little more helpful who scheduled a service appointment for me on 10/22/08.

Because the store doesnt accept exchanges or refunds I am stuck with this piece of crap. Take your time and shop around! Good Luck!

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture horrible service

I would like to inform you of the experience that my husband and I had in your Deptford, NJ store. We first visited this store on 8/8. We were immediately greeted by Doryn. While there we placed a bedroom set, dining room set, computer armoire, bunkbed and dresser set on hold. We put down a $50 deposit in order to reserve the furniture with 0% financing until 2013 while our mortgage was being finalized.

As Doryn entered our information into the computer, I noticed that he incorrectly entered the price of the dining room set. He rechecked the price and realized that he was charging us separately for the 2 armchairs when it should have been 1 price for the 6 piece set. Doryn finished entering everything, took our deposit and we left.

Upon looking at our copy of all of the paperwork on 8/10 I realized that we had also been overcharged for the bedroom set. We immediately went back to the store and spoke with the manager. He then adjusted our bill, giving us a credit for $591. He apologized for the error and said over and over again that it was human error and Doryn and himself (he had signed off on everything on the 8/8) just made a mistake and would have found it eventually. We still to this day have been overcharged to the bedroom armoire (Madison). We paid $1529.90 and it should be $1499.95.

After our Mortgage was finalized, my husband went back to the store on 8/18 to set up financing and delivery of our furniture for 8/31. He was given the sales order ticket and the delivery date. We received a call later that week confirming our delivery date. Later we received a call from Doryn that we needed to come in and finance our furniture. I told him that my husband had already done that and I had all of the paperwork. He stated that the financing had never been done and we had to come in again. We called customer service at the store and sure enough, the financing part had never been taken care of. My husband went back again and received more apologies and financed the furniture for real this time.

When our furniture was delivered, we learned that our nightstand was on backorder and would not arrive until the next week. We received a call the next week that the nightstand arrived but was cracked so we would have to wait another week. That finally arrived two weeks after our original delivery date.

My husband picked up our bunkbed and dresser since they were floor samples (which they had promised would be removed from the floor for safe keeping and were still on the sales floor up until the day he picked them up). While unwrapping the dresser I noticed that one of the knobs was missing. This knob has not been missing when we originally purchased the dresser. I called the store and they said the looked for it and could not find it but would order it. Then as my husband put the bunkbed together he noticed that a bolt was missing. He called the store and told them that we would have to pay for the bolt but they would order it.

My husband contacted the store a few days ago to find out where our parts are and was told that they are still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. I called customer service on 9/27 and was told that the parts were supposed to be mailed on 9/17. So now we just have to wait.

My husband also contacted the store to find out why we have not received a bill yet. They said that we should be receiving one shortly. I spoke to customer service on 9/27 and was told that there have been many issues with Wells Fargo lately and to call them and find out when we should have gotten a bill. Unfortunately they are closed on Saturdays so I am unable to tell you what has happened with them. I can only hope that we have not lost our interest free financing due to not receiving a bill.

I find it unacceptable that we spent almost $6000 at this store and cannot say one good thing about your company. We are still owed $29.95, 2 parts and a bill. After this is over, I will never step foot in your Deptford store again and cannot imagine that I would purchase anything from Raymour and Flanigan ever again. We recently had to purchase a new sectional sofa. Instead of dealing with your company again we decided to spend over $2000 at The Macy’s Furniture Store in Cherry Hill. You would have had a repeat customer for years if our experience had been better. In this economy especially, your customers should be treated much better.

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture awful company

I purchased Broyhill furniture which is expensive almost five years ago and it is ready for the trash. We are adults so there is no abuse only general wear. They don't care. Just try to sell you something else. Do your self a favor and just buy from a cheaper store. It will last about the same.

I spoke to a manager who sent a repair person they tell be they can take the furniture to the repair shop at my cost, 37.50 to truck it there, 37.50 back and 45.00 an hour to carefully peel back the fabric to re stuff the arms and redo the cushions. I purchased two sofas and two chairs. I got rid of one sofa already but now I just have to get rid of the rest. What a disgrace. They suck!

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture terrible company

Never buy anything from Raymour & Flanigan! They are the worst furniture retailer ever! All they do is make mistakes and then the consumer is the one that suffers. More people need to report there experiences to the Better Business Bureau. Something needs to be done about how they do business.

I have been dealing with Raymour & Flanigan for 7 months. That is too much of my time waisted. All because they can not deliver my furniture in one piece and I received defective merchandise. It took them six times to finally get my furniture right. Don't believe the store managers or associates, they will make you promises and never come through on any of them.

If you purchase anything from that store you are making a big mistake!

Sorry to say that I read all of the negative reviews after pen was put to paper. One reviewer told of horror stories concerning the "no interest" financing, this has my colon in a knot because I took the deal too, another reviewer complained of poor quality furniture from china. Sure enough this evening I had the misfortune of seeing that for myself when my overpriced firewood arrived (4 hours late). When I pointed out some defects in the finish to the delivery person, he stated that was a "rustic" look and was not a defect. To put the icing on the cake, the wrong tabletop color was sent. The box indicated the correct color however after opening, it was discovered that some functional illiterate repacked the wrong table in the box. I actually feel sorry for the delivery people because other than the sales person (Who knows how to hide and duck your calls), they are the only live people that you see and can shed your anger on.

The bottom line is: never again.

I, unfortunately, am just finding out how they are. Tuesday I received a call in ref to delivery - we had scheduling problems, but, eventually was told my chair would be delivered Sat by 10:30AM. Wed a girl calls for what? to tell me someone will be calling Friday with my time frame. Told her I already talked to someone Tues, and it was to be delivered by 10:30 on Sat. My answering machine tells people to call me at work during work hours, but by chance I checked it, and, yes, there is a message my chair will be delivered between 1-5. Hello, I just went through this Tuesday, that I am leaving the house at noon on Saturday and nobody in the store has any idea of someone making an arrangement with me on Tuesday and they cannot cange their scheduling route. I can, I'll find the truck and flatten the tires.

I bought leather couches 2 years ago with the Platinum Protection and the couches look horrible the leather is peeling off. I called and complained over and over no solution was done. A company like Raymour and Flanigan should stand by their product. The leather is very cheap. If i wanted a temporary living room i would of went to a cheap store but i went to a store with a big name and thinking that it has a good reputation but i was wrong. The worst part of it that THE WANT TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK FOR THE PROTECTION i never heard such a thing. i wonder how Neil Goldberg would let such a thing happen...

I have never dealt with R&F, other than several "chats" with their PR guy and one of the principals. As a ret. cop and now, consumer advocate, I have implored them for over 10 years to curtail the daily "DECEPTIVE" TV ads that constantly utter the notion that there is a SALE "going on right now". Ever notice that there is NO begining nor end to this (so called) SALE? For as soon as it purportedly ends, it seemlessly starts again, over, over & over again. That should provide the caviate and clue that they vigorously pursue "deceptive" ads, and equally deceptive business practices. If they'll lie and misrepresent re: their ads, what should a consumer expect in the "integrity" department? If you are one of those unfortunate consumers who were dooped, don't waste time trying to engender integrity into the manager's utterances; it's futile! But what you can do, is contact your state's Attorney General's Office and endeavour to have them cited for "deceptive practice" and improper use of the word "SALE". Many other and smaller outfits have been cited and fined, steeply, for such "false and deceptive advertising". They seem to hide in plain site and perpetrate this ruse on an hourly basis, 24/7. Their ads are more annoying than the reptition of the "HEAD-ON" commercials! Request, (demand), that your state AG finally does something about this and addresses ALL the more serious complaints that have become the hallmark for their disgusting business practices.. At least try and get an explaination why they have not acted on the deception(s)?

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture no ethics, no customer service

I purchased the Carnegie love seat and couch along with the Elations table and chairs from the Manchester, CT R&F on 7/27. I was purchasing my first condo, closing on 8/15 so I wanted to get everything all set ahead of time. I scheduled an 8/21 delivery. At the encouragement of my salesman, I chose the least busy delivery date to be nice to the store.

After I decided on my furniture, I went out and purchased decorations, lamps, etc, all based on my choice of a deep plum couch and love seat.

At 7 pm on 8/20, I called R&F to find out what time my delivery was going to be. Long story short: somehow, my purchase had been cancelled out of the system. (In error of course.) Not to worry I was told, they put it back in, but I'd have to take delivery on Saturday 8/23 instead. They promised me free delivery and a 100 dollar gift card.

This was a problem for me because I had scheduled painters to come in to pick out colors for my condo based on my furniture arriving. I asked the woman I was speaking to, Jill, if I could come down and pick up a pillow from the floor model 1st thing in the morning on Thursday, 8/21. She said that was not a problem.

The next morning, I took the 1/2 hour ride down to Manchester. I asked to speak to the store manager so I could get the store pillow. Low and behold, they no longer had the floor model of the couch. Jerry, the store manager with 2 weeks experience, was beyond rude to me. Their store messed up, and he was treating me like it was my fault.

So, I asked him if I could take one of my actual pillows from my couch. Jerry went to check on my order. After about an hour, he came back. He told me that everyone messed up. My love seat had been sold. He said that IF I was able to even get it, it would be at least 6 weeks. Also, that was a big if. The chairs from the table were backordered. My furniture was not going to be delivered on Saturday.

He told me that I was out of luck and to pick out new furniture. Now, I have over 500 dollars worth of merchandise I've purchased to go with plum couches that I can no longer use.

This should not happen on an order placed three weeks in advance. I picked out a new couch. By the way, I HATE IT.

I had to bring the sample, which was cut off the floor model, to the painters. Then, I had to drive back to the store to figure out what to do about the table and chairs. Somehow they 'found' the chairs and my delivery was back on for Saturday. R&F took back their gift card and free delivery offer that they had offered me the night before and my bill managed to increase significantly.

Saturday 8/23 rolls around and I get my delivery. The plastic on the chairs have been left on. I had to spend over an hour taking the chairs apart in order to get the plastic off. Also, R&F delivered the wrong table top. Finally, I realized on my receipt that they had OVER charged me on the table.

I spoke to the manager, Bill. After much coaxing, he had my bill reduced by the shipping and the overcharge for the table. He asked when I could have the correct table top delivered. I suggested either Tuesday or Friday after 4 PM. I was told that these times weren't convenient for them. Well, the delivery of the wrong table wasn't convenient for me.

We set up another Saturday delivery, Saturday 8/30. I was supposed to be the 2nd delivery on the 8 to 12 truck. At 10:30 I called Bill because my table top still hadn't shown up. Guess what? It never did.

I don't know when I'll get it because no one will call me back from the store. Someone from the depot called me and said he'll personally bring it by Tuesday at 4:30, but I really don't believe it.

Raymour and Flanigan is by far the worst company I've ever had to deal with. They have yet to compensate me for anything. 3 day delivery guaranteed my ***!

As a former employee, I can tell you that they will tell customers whatever it is they want to hear just to get them off the phone. The lower management will always take the easy way out and have others do the dirty work for them.

Also, it is a common practice that R&F sells used furniture as new. Furniture that has been in someone else's home and returned to the warehouse would always be the next out of inventory to get delivered to the next customer. It's also happened that the same person that returned a piece(s) got the same one re-delivered on an exchange. That shows how they do not care about customer satisfaction.

I could go on and on about how they try and deceive customer's. There is not enough space here or time for me to list everything.

Do yourself a favor and avoid purchasing anything from them. It's not worth the hassle.
