My son went into their finance department to refinance his car into his name, since it is under both our names now. The application was processed, accepted and contract issued, signed by Raymond Chevrolet Finance manager. First payment to be due in 45 days.

4 weeks go by and I get a call from GMAC stating payment was past due and that there was no record or Raymond Chevy having done the refinance. My son called the Finance dept and was told the loan did not go through and that someone should of called him 3 weeks ago to let him know, that he was sorry, they must of forgotten to call. So here we are, 2 months car payments due in one shot and late fees to boot!

I used to think they were the best dealer in Lake County, but I see they are now like everybody else, out to screw you over!

I had the most wonderful experience with this dealership. It appears that they have a new management staff as well as the finance office. This was the best experince that I have ever had buying a car. My credit was less that stellar lots of problems. They took their time to help me with out any pressure. The finance manager was not pushy and even helped my brother purchase a new vehicle as well. They made me feel as if I really did not have bad credit, but understood that I had a bad time in my life. I will tell every one to buy a car from Raymond Chevrolet. They have contaced me every month since I bought to see if I am still happy with my purchase. They even came to my place of work and dropped off coffee and donuts. WOW what an experience. I really dont think these other people have experienced The Raymond Chevrolet I went to.

It sounds to me like your son had bad credit like me, but they have new managers and they were wonderful to me and my family. We know that the economy is bad so lets no blame the car dealer. Let blame ourselves for living beyond our means. I would go and see the new management team and see if they can help you

also had a bad experience. They say anything to get you in the door, then the high pressure paid salesman try to pressure you into a deal. Its in your best interest. Told them my starting price on a truck, they say no problem. Then when you sit down to talk, Price starts 3000.00 higher. THey move numbers around to make it look good, good for them. Thats why the dealerships and car companys are in such a mess and need to be bailed out. They should be help responsible. This dealership will tell you anything. Dont even waste your time with them, not worth the effort.

Ray Chevrolet dealership and finance dept. as well as Lanika Dyes of Wheaton, Il coerced my 60 yr old, widowed mother with 2 special needs children at home, into taking out a loan on a Chevy trailblazer. The loan was for more that what the car was actually worth at the time. An employee from this company drove to my Mom's house about 20 miles away, picked her up in a ray Chevrolet dealer car, drove 90 miles an hour back to the dealership. Then brought her to a room where they coerced her into signing documents that she did not understand. DISGUSTING... doesn't even come close to the lending practices that took place at this dealership. I warn all patrons against doing any business with this company. DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING

Will give many excuses to not honor price on their website (even though the stock and vin numbers perfectly match). Presented with, "The listings are standard stock listings, not for specific cars" (not stated as such and why include the stock and vin in the listing?). The car on the website is a "demo" or "loaner" vehicle with 9000 and dealers are allowed to sell these cars as "new" (no kidding--salesman actually stated this!). "We will give you xx thousand dollars for your vehicle" and "my uncle from the dealer down the street will be buying it" (no--contract presented with $2000 less offer and now my vehicle is being sold by Raymond). They did not even know the features of the vehicle. When asked if the seating surfaces were leather, they said "yes". However, they are not--only have similar feel and texture, as I found out later when doing research. Not only did the salesman behave in this manner, but the
"managers" and "supervisors" on the floor came to the desk to back him up and give additional pressure. Later, other dealer members wanted to go to great lengths to ensure that I would fill out the satisfaction survey favorably too--especially the "customer advocate" who spent almost the entire time I was there (hours) sitting at the front desk browsing shopping sites on the Internet. Left a message for the owner asking a question and offering to inform him of all that had occurred. He simply left a message for me with the answer to my question and completely ignored the problems. Completely unethical and disprespectful. Will NEVER do business with them again

I have been trying to work a lease deal through Raymond. They keep marking the prices up. They have the prices for sale price but for me they are marking above window sticker price. when I ask for the numbers they tell me they are "all in" and I need to sign the papers. They won't even show me all the numbers even though they claim they are. very dishonest and playing games. All I want is an honest dealer to show me the numbers so I can get a vehicle. I have bought from them before but this time they are out to get me.
