To whom it may concern,
I start this way because as of now nobody that I have spoke to cares about my problem.
My husband and I bought a bed from the store in Waterford, Ct. yesterday. We asked for next day delivery and were told it would not be a problem.
We received a call this morning about 10:00am telling us that our bed would arrive between 11:00am and 2:00pm. We took the time to remove somethings out of our room that were in the way. Another call came in about 2:00pm to tell us that the truck was running late but should arrive by 3:00pm. It is now 7:00pm, we have called three or four times and were told that #1 the driver was not answering his phone, # 2 that the truck was stuck in traffic for 4 hours, #3 that they were 15-20 miles away and would be here tonight, no time given. Does this sound like a reliable company?
We tried the on-line "chat" and we were told by "Ray" that the truck would arrive, again no time given. When we asked more questions we were asked if we wanted to cancell our order! When we said, no we had no bed to sleep on, he stated that he had done all he could for us, and terminated the session. He had given us phone numbers but by that time everything was closed.
My husband was on the phone calling the store at the same time I was on- line. He was told that they do not do next day delivery of bedding. When he told them that the TV ad says next day delivery the person he was talking to argued with him and repeated they do not do next day delivery on Mattresses!
We spent around $1000.00 for our bed. That may not be the biggest sale ever, but it was a lot of money for us. We were very excited about getting a new bed, we have not bought a new one in over 10 years. Needless to say we are not excited any longer.
I am going to ask for some kind of compensation because of the amount of our time that was waisted waiting for someone, anyone to help us. Our time is also worth money. I would like the cost of the bed reembursed, even though I know it will not happen. I do not believe that anyone will do anything, they probibly won't even read this complaint, But if you do PLEASE do not send me Gift Cards for the store. I will never set foot in your stores again. I also intend to tell everyone we know not to shop there.
By the way it is now 7:40pm and still no bed and no call. 5 1/2 hours and still waiting.
