I’m writing this because she’s a money stealer, if you ask too many questions about the ragdoll, she will block you. Just like she did to me, having a ragdoll is a life time commitment, if I am asking if she can breed certain traits and characteristics of a mink ragdoll and she blocked me. Lost my respect, there are so many better breeders out there.

The purpose of this review is to inform individuals there are better options for your Ragdoll needs. I originally read one negative review and have since found a few more. Let's add another to the pile.

We wanted to give Dekoel the benefit of doubt and really make this work but have come to realize, where there's smoke, there's fire and this place needs to be extinguished.

Initially, all was fine and communication was instant but after a deposit was sent and despite promises of communication and photos/progress of the kitten all dialogue became more distant and challenging. We made numerous attempts to ask Dekoel for simple assistance such as brands of litter, food, delivery, and anything in order to accommodate our future family member but was given silence and distant responses.

This culminated to a week before the "expected arrival date" when she asked us to send $1600. We asked for a contract and a video as we hadn't seen any recent updates of the kitten (a contract is pretty standard in our opinion and blindly handing someone $1800 without an agreement seemed a bit odd). Dekoel responded by accusing us of mistrust and threatened to give the kitten to another individual on the waiting list.

Months of anticipation and excitement dashed in an instant and replaced with tears and regret. This was an awful experience and no one should have to go through this. The very next day we were able to find another local breeder where the experience has been nothing but pleasant. There are much better options out there. Don't bother with Ranchin Ragz Ragdolls.

I absolutely agree 100% with all of the negative feedback regarding this breeder. She took my deposit. Sent me pictures. And then called the while I was ON THE WAY to pick up my kitten sto say "sorry, I have a better offer."

I think that says it all about her and the way she conducts business.

I just went to the BBB website and read another complaint. Similar to mine so, it sounds like it's standard business practice for her to bail out.

DeKoel smith sold me a beautiful ragdoll kitten a year ago. It suddenly became ill and after clear xrays and blood tests the vet told us she had FIP and she is 99.9% sure it came from her cattery. Once we were told this horrifying news we told DeKoel and she offered us a new kitten if we did a biopsy after she passed. My boyfriend and I decided we did not want a new kitten from her, as it does not replace what we lost and flying 2 provinces over is just not ideal again. This is more of a warning, that FIP did come from her cattery. As rare as this outcome seems to be, apparently, her cats are carrying the Feline coronavirus. DeKoel is definitely a nice lady but if you don't want to gamble on a possible sick kitten, I'd try another cattery and make sure to ask about any FIP history in their current cats.
