Ralphs Grocery service

Woodland hills location:
20060 ventura blvd

Someone at this store needs to get a reality check on the music that they play.
Absolutely terrible. Some pre teen and teen kids bop crap.
Stop it already. I've been coming to this store for almost 15 years and I know the average age of the customer is between 50 and 60. Why would the management continue to play this awful music is beyond me. I'm not suggesting sinatra or nat cole but i'm certain no baby boomer is going to enjoy this aggravating noise. Please do not tell me it's next to a h. S. The
Spenders in this store are not teens it's come from the upper middle class of tarzana and woodland hills. Know your demographics people!

Ralphs Grocery service deli

The machines that are used to cut the fresh meat and cheese are not being clean prior and or after it's been used.

I could see the build-up and residue not only on the base but also the blade. Not to mention the blood from the roast beef dripping from the base onto the counter top.

And for the employee to start cutting my order of meat with out wiping the machine down it's not only unacceptable but a danger and/or Hazard to my health and also my families.

Cross-contamination!

It's my personal opinion that this practice is not sanitary.

Ralphs Grocery deli boars head caesar salad missing dressing

Last week July 12, we purchased a Boars Head Caesar Salad for a trip we were taking. When we opened the package, It was my daughters dinner, it was missing the salad dressing. Today at the store I told a lady in the Deli department and as nice as the people are there they did not offer to do anything about it. As we checked out I told the checker who had Sales Manager on her name tag and she didn't seem to care but apologized. People just don't seem to want to take responsibility or initiate resolution to an issue. It's frustrating sometimes.

Ralphs Grocery a company called brandywine

Could you do a covert analysis on this corporation and find out who owns it, i just gave them the ingredients to my fluid Brandywine at their corporate Email and it was rejected, they like Britney Spears concert lackeys called me daemon Mailer. I'll get bact to you with the ingredients by Email at [protected]@gmail.com if you contact me. Under international law of finance and ancient rights one man cannot and should not claim ownership to such a fluid, and make himself, sobmuch and give so little, causes are illegal under national rights of unjust servitude such a man must seek out individuals to benifit, as the recipe I will include momentarily was part of a work I printed called "the straight scoop on ingredients", by Billy Stratus. Start with a moonshine alcohol grain and cane sugar mix of 5 to 20 % mix directly with lemon juice and sweet C tabs, plums prunes grapes raisins vanilla extract extract of coffee carob chocolate nutmeg and Kahlua serve cold or on ice.

Ralphs Grocery not really a complaint as much as a statement

This weeks ad must have been pretty embarrassing after seeing the ad for Sprouts Farmers Market. All I know is the one close to me that advertises along with sprouts and there is a clear reason I am shopping there and would like to tell you why.
I can not eat meat that was ever fed grain and one you have almost no if none grass fed 100% grass finished products. Beef, bison, elk, deer ect...
So I can't buy my meat there anymore. So that leaves me fish. I can only eat certain fish. Basically forage fish if you know of that type. one fish I can eat is the wild caught sockeye salmon. you have it on SALE this week for $15.99 a pound. Sprouts has the exact same fish for $9.99 a pound! Looks like I buy my fish this week there. I can't eat the swordfish nor the shrimp.
I can not eat chicken or turkey due to they eat grain and blood animals (snakes, mice, bugs etc. that my body cant tolerate so all your sales for that protein are nothing to me. As far as the rest of my proteins they have a much better selection of nuts seeds and beans that beat your company 10 fold at bulk discount prices. Doesn't look like I'm getting much proteins there anymore. It's not that I didn't try...
Now as far as your vegetables and fruits. your cherries this week on sale was $3.99 lb. northwest. Spouts has the exact same cherries for $1.48 lb! Half price THANK YOU Spouts! The strawberries. you have ORGANIC 2 for 7.00 16 oz each. Spouts has a 72 hour weekend sale that they are the exact same strawberry other than a few different chemicals are use and are .97 cent per pound! Over 3 and a half times savings. now you may say but these are organic. Here is what my diet says. If someone isn't watching those berries around the clock so not 1 bug ever enters it for me to eat then I would rather pay 4 times MORE for the ones that were sprayed and kills a much better ratio if not all of no bugs before they get inside as apposed to the organic that isn't being sprayed and these bugs enter. This is my preference, my right and choice. You did however bet them on the price of the fruit peaches and nectarines, the watermelon sprouts didn't advertise along with a few other items that you had on sale. I don't eat a lot of fruit as the sugars are high so i don't need much and I usually get 20 pound case discounts at sprouts that you guys do not offer and yes I asked. The only vegetables you advertised that I can eat was the salad and zucchini for .99 lb as your sale price and I shop at sprouts a lot and know that is their normal daily cost on those. You advertised no other vegetables as sprouts crushes with the .99 BABY broccoli !

So the statement I am making is Spouts is a MUCH SMALLER company that you giants are currently looking to buy out (and I see why) BUT>>> why would I shop at your store for just 2 fruits that I can get cheaper in bulk on sale at sprouts as appose to your store and I understand the fact that you are charging sometimes up to 4 times the price for the exact same item ON SALE EVERY WEEK?
( I also am taking the libery to forward this to sprouts. WTG GUYS DON'T SELL DONT CHANGE YOU GOT ALL MY BUSINESS!)

Ralphs Grocery salads

The salads are all wrong and terrible. I shop at the El Cajon (Rancho San Diego) CA location for my deli meats and salads among other thing. I am a huge salad lover who picks up a prepared salad often because I'm busy. First of all the Cobb Salad is terrible. A Cobb Salad has sliced hard boiled eggs on the romaine lettuce or regular lettuce chopped, bacon bits, tomatoes, and crumbled blue cheese. served with BLUE CHEESE DRESSING. NOT RANCH. this salad had very little lettuce, wild greens, black olives, carrots, green peppers, yellow corn, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, sliced eggs served with RANCH DRESSING (wrong) and Chicken? A Hispanic must have prepared it because these ingredients are south western. Please do your homework and prepare the salads correctly. WITHOUT FILLERS.

Ralphs Grocery disrespectful rude checkers

When there is a product problem, I return it and not always but most times it is accepted back, of course. My having to store rotten fruit or bad whatevers in my fridge and then bring it back is all on me – not of course ! In last cple of months I have returned more than ever and am now wondering if there is NO QUALITY CONTROLS in place or if they are lax or what?

Today: This time I had such a bad experience with checker QUIONDRA on Aug 20 2016 @ 9:43 am - per my receipt- that I did deliberately talk to a courteous/ known on-site mgr. He immediately understood and stated the return was appropriate.

I had bought chicken livers in plastic carton at last visit and when opened at home found them to be BRIGHT GREEN as when toxic organs bleed into other organs- liver- and whoever packed these did not look nor see what was being pkg’ed !

It was scary, awful and I immediately disposed of them. I called store, mgr, and was told to bring in lid that shows price, date as I had already discarded receipt – never expecting to take home such a horrid product.
I brought the lid and this haughty & mouthy loud checker Quiondra immediately insisted I have a receipt, she asked for it not just 1x but 3x and when I said I had called mgr and was told it was ok to present lid only…she replied “how do I know you didn’t buy this 3

She was about to argue loudly, having the last word with every utterance to which I do not allow myself to be DEMEANED, INSULTED, TREATED AS A BAD CHILD OR DISREPECTED EITHER – by anyone, especially an employee of Ralphs ! Then futher when I said I would move –and started to put my items back into cart – off of her counter and go away elsewhere = when a manager [African American mgr in blue shirt that I see regularly and we greet often] walked by and I spoke to him.

I told him about my return, showed him the lid, and still the checker was busy loudly DEFENDING her bad attitude and thus blaming me – now she was saying “I was just….. asking for receipt as I am suppose to “ -a policy that can be performed in more than 1 way. She had been belligerent, righteous, and demanded I was not following ‘her’ orders as if she owned the store ? huh ? That I was not to be trusted or believed ?

After I put my items in cart and walked away this clerk continued to YELL LOUDLY at me, defending her self as “right” and thus me ‘wrong’ and to have the ‘last word’ – which is a power play and I refuse to allow this. I walked away to where I found a different manager, who helped me and heard me.

But I chose to not allow this to happen to me/ or others / again !

Ralphs Grocery rude and horrible customer service

Many employees in this store are very helpful and kind but there are a few that are always outrageously rude. I have done my best to overlook there bad attitudes but this time was too much. Cashier named Susana E snapped at me for not putting my 5 small items on conveyor belt when she had not even finished ringing up and checking out customers in front of me. She was making an effort to make me look dumb and ignorant as she laughed and rolled her eyes to customer in front of me. I made a complaint to manager Valerie G who smirked and riled her eyes at me. My family and I shop here on the daily and spend a lot of money in this store but that will be changing. I would rather drive further from home to shop in a store that treats there customers with a little more respect.

Ralphs Grocery customer service

Was in there today waiting in line for checkout. An older lady was behind me and was looking at a magazine while she was waiting. She was at the end of the line. What happened next was incorrigible and as a result I will never go there again and urge everyone else not to either. A Ralph's employee went up to the lady and said, " Are you just going to stand there reading or are you going to check out? You need to get in another line unless you are just going to stand there." I kid you not. Totally flustered the older lady and she went to stand next door. I turned to the employee and said "That was incredibly rude. I cannot believe you just said that." She replied, "Well, its my job to keep these aisles clear. She needed to move." To which I replied, " Are you the fire marshal here?" I complained to the checker who just said, "Sorry, honey." Then the rude employee complimented me on my shirt. I told her "Don't compliment me. You need to be apologizing to the lady next to me." Of course, the manager was in the line checking out the older lady and did nothing. I am complaining to corporate office and posting this review on social media. There is no excuse for remotely treating customers that way since we pay these people's salary. Boycotte Ralphs!

Ralphs Grocery customer service

I would like to start this off by stating that I appreciate Ralphs very much, and have been shopping at Ralphs for all my grocery needs for over the past decade. I also worked for Ralphs as a courtesy clerk/cashier for 2 years while in my senior year of high school and my first year of college([protected]). I learned a lot from Ralphs, and one important skill that Ralphs really taught me was customer service. As a courtesy clerk, I was responsible for returning unused shopping carts to the front of the store, and bagging groceries. I was the quiet type, but learned real quick that I was required to speak up, greet and create minimal conversation with customers while they were checking out. This is a skill I still have to this day, and has really helped me grow up. Fast forward to present times, I recently had a visit to the nearest Ralphs that I have been shopping at for the past six months or so since my recent move to Dana Point. (24871 Del Prado, Dana Point CA, 92629). Every employee/cashier that I have interacted with at this Ralphs location up until this point have been nothing but respectful to me up until Wednesday (10/14/15). My friend and I had a very bizarre altercation with a cashier(Catherine H.) at around 8pm when we stopped by to buy a 24 pack of Rolling Rock(beer). My friend (Zack) and I placed the beer on the conveyer belt and without any sort of greeting, the cashier says "Ok who is paying for the alcohol." To which then Zack said, "that will be me." Catherine H. says "Are you over 21?" Without any response, Zack pulls out his California Drivers License and proceeds to hand her his license. Catherine H. takes the license from Zacks' hand, looks him in the eye and says, "I'M GOING TO ASK YOU ONE MORE TIME, are you over 21?" In complete shock, slightly embarrassed(there were customers behind us that witnessed this awkward moment) and not realizing if Catherine H. is joking or actually serious, Zack replies, "Excuse me?, I just handed you my Identification, it states my date of birth right there." Catherine H. then says, "Ok I'm cancelling this transaction, and you boys are going to have to buy your alcohol elsewhere." to which Zack replies, "this is bull****." I then ask Catherine what is the reasoning for this, and she says she has the right to refuse any sale. As Catherine H. is putting the beer aside for a "go-back" I ask for a manager. Catherine H. points over to the on duty manager (Azi/Ozzi Jaleb). I immediately walk a few steps to Ms. Jaleb and start to tell her that there is a problem and Catherine is refusing a sale for whatever reason, and without even acknowledging me Ms. Jaleb starts walking towards Catherine's register and asks her what is going on. Catherine H. states, "I am refusing this sale of alcohol because the customers are being rude, not responding to my questions and cussing at me." (Ms. Jaleb could care less what our side of the story was, as we tried to explain to her what exactly happened and she immediately interrupted us saying we can buy the alcohol at her register.) Okay, no problem. We then move to Ms. Jaleb's isle and wait for her to finish processing her current customer ahead of us. About a minute and a half later, Ms. Jaleb finishes up with her customer and starts looking at the receipt printer and the current receipt printed.(Previous customers receipt?) Zack and I are patiently waiting for about another long awkward minute as Ms. Jaleb, not facing us, is looking at the previous customers receipt(no customers behind us). Ms. Jaleb finally turns to us and says "you need to learn how to talk"(exact words) and that we have to go elsewhere to buy our alcohol. Completely surprised/confused and without any arguing or outburst, we left the store and bought out alcohol at the Rite-Aid in the same shopping plaza. This was the most bizarre situation either of us have ever been in. Neither of us have ever been refused service at any establishment, yet alone have been treated this way in a place where we are providing business. Although it's very minor, I have been bothered by this for the past few days. I went into the very same Ralphs tonight to buy a few groceries and immediately had flashbacks of this incident (which is when I decided to write this complaint.) I was looking out for Catherine H. to avoid her line but did not see her working, but did see the manager Ms. Jaleb. I avoided any sort of potential contact with Ms. Jaleb because I was completely uncomfortable and left the store as soon as I could. This has effected me in the most bizarre way, and I have never felt this way in my life at any business/store I have shopped at. Zack and I felt completely discriminated (Perhaps it might have something to do with the fact that we "college males in our mid 20's buying alcohol, " which I'm sure Catherine H. and Ms. Jaleb have had problems with in the past but not with us personally). This is the first complaint I have ever written in my life for any business (I don't even use Yelp) but I am not trying to get Catherine H. or Ms. Jaleb in any sort of trouble, I'm sure they are great people, maybe they were just having a bad day. I hate to judge people off of one minor experience but I feel this incident should be brought up to the person in charge of paying these employees. Maybe these women have had complaints in the past, maybe not. But I am just doing my part in letting the people in charge know about this. If I were running a business where my employees were acting like this, I would certainly like to know. Thank you for your time in reading this.

Ralphs Grocery Continuous harassment

From the time I walk in the door until the time I walk out the door I am followed by ralphs employees security guards plain closed floor walkers like I am trying to steal something
Last night iwent in for one of their sandwhiches and sure the tired bored security guard follows me out the door gives me this long tired look while I am waiting to cross the street! This is just after I think he the security guard put a 6'10"drunk black on me to wave his hands all in my face trapping me in between him and the trying to check out in front of me
I am not sure if this was done on purpose but the huge black guy kept waving his arms talking crazy saying go on go on go on all the while I couldnot because there wa some one in front of me
The check out clerk was rude when I asked how he was doing he ig nored me and said absolutely nothing like I was not there so I swiped my card and I left and that is when I noticed the security guard had followed me out the store so when I looked over my shoulder I spoke to him politely and he said nothing turned around and walked back in the store like I did not exist just like the check out clerk did when I checked out
I feel hurt rejected insulted humiliated violated conspired against stepped on taken advantage of used and rudely treated like less than an animal. This kind of behavior is what I can expect every time I go in there and I have no reason to see why they are going out of their way to be childishly mean to me
Another example is if I ask a clerk for information about an item they ignore me every time if I go to the restroom I swear they follow me in there! And twice when I ordered from the buffet the lady says,"oh you do" and it was so foul to taste I had to throw it and when I ordered roast beef they cut me large chunks of mostly fat over half inch thick all the while I kept saying no no and I know roast beef should be cut in thinner slices. I will never order from their bufet it was so bad I couldnt hardly eat one bite and threw the rest away!
This has not been all! I bought moldy provalone cheese, two of the toughest tasteless canteloupes and three water mellons that were to tough to eat and no flavor almost like eating rind except one was rotten or overripe and also taste less
I am 62 years old do not drive a car and am disabled I also go to 24 hour fitness right across the street and I moved in ths neighborhood for the obvious reasons and sometimes after my physical therapy at the fitness center I am hungry and will stop in ralphs for something to eat and to be honest with you I am getting infuriated with this constant which has been ongoing for quite some time. There have been other incidents but I just do not see the need just keep going on and on. I just wish they would get off my back and treat people decently or I am going to sue just out of general principal. I wish this would never had happened but it wont stop and I am getting infuriated with them. Make them stop I plan on complaining to bbb ftc the chamber of commerce and ayone else who will listen. Thank you regarding my complaint I wish it never would have come to this. Why?

Ralphs Grocery refuse to take return article

I bought a set of stamps from a store as the Post Office across the street was out - what do we want them for? I didn't know if I was going to need them because there was a chance I didn't have to send the letter. The cashier told me I could return them if I didn't use them. Then I went to return them a week later and the manager told me that I could not return them! I very rarely use stamps. What do I want 16 of them for? They will last me 30 years?

Ralphs Grocery rude / racial profiling

I am an black male profiled by an Armanian store clerk Nelli V. who ripped my genuine Californian drivers license saying she was certain it was fake because I requested to buy a $1000 prepaid paypal card. She made a scene at the store and called me a crook and accused me of money laundering in front of the entire store. I have never met this store clerk ever in my Life. She went further to say the words " You people come in here ... and when I went on further in a calm manner to let her know she is wrong for ripping my property and have no right to do so, she threatened to call the police and turned around and said to me, "run like you people always do". The police arrived and my California ID was handed to the cops who checked it and confirmed it was a genuine ID, rather than apologise about the situation, she told the cop to run my ATM card also to make sure it was real... This was an actual event which happened today at Ralph's grocery store located at Magnolia and Vineland in North Hollywood. During this whole time and the scene made by the clerk, the manager Vincent stood and watched without saying a word.(strange scene) .You know LAPD and how it goes once you are black...LAPD also need to school the new officers intimidation is not the way to go about things.. Personally, this two officers who responded are not the type of officers who should be responding to situations..They treat you like a criminal as soon as they arrive not giving you a chance to speak. As long as you are black in the store, you are there to steal and nothing else if they receive a call. You have to experience LAPD as a black male to know officers really need classes on how to interact with public. They raise their voices and want you to be hostile so they can earn another stripe on you...Just stay calm and let them talk and you have your rights to ask the officer to leave if he is not arresting you...Very sad experience, especially by a foreigner who was allowed into this country for a better life. STOP PROFILING AND RACISM IT GETS US NO WHERE...

I checked out from the self checkout register. Paid for a bag. And placed my paid items on another register next to it since they were out of bags at the register I paid for my items to grab a plastic bag. Placed my items into the bag and walked out of the store. This rude mean look I keep getting from the night shift manager. Waited for a few seconds for her to tell me what is going on why she’s looking at me in a way like I stole something. Then walked out of the store to my car she comes running after me accusing me that I stole the items. I shoved the receipt to her face and instead of apologizing she just says oh like a [censored]ing idiod and walks back to her minimum wage job.. worst customer service ever. And this person is a general manager. This is located in Porter ranch Ralph’s on Rinaldi.

That is the most horrific story about number one… customer service. Actually number one should be the actions and respect a black man and or woman have been denied since FOREVER.. the second is the customer service standards that these companies do during orientation training. (Cause you know every company has these classes before training never mind the questionnaire that is on the original application on how to and what to’s and they all seem to answer them with golden scores to get the job secure. Then once it’s secure they get to the sales floor and WHAM ( they have a sudden case of HUH, DONT KNOW OR SCREW IT syndrome). THEY SEEM TO FORGET THAT IF IT WASNT FOR US CONSUMERS (every race) THAT THEY WOULDNT HAVE THEIR WEEKLY PAYCHECK OR THE PROFITS THE ESTABLISHMENT RAKES IN

I am glad someone like you spoke up and I am mortified how you were treated at the store as well as our “servicing and supporting our citizens” LAPD COPS.
I am a white man 56 years old and have been in the field of sales, customer service and respecting any and all human beings. No matter what the color, creed, nationality, race, genre, or disability. EVERY ONE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING. NO ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER WHEN IT COMES TO RESPECT, AND HUMANITY.
Thanks for letting me say this cause It would have eaten me up for the rest of the day if I didn’t voice my opinion. So sorry you had to experience that you had no right to be treated with such disgusting behavior.
Regards
Daniel

Ralphs Grocery verbal assault - descrimination

I've been a loyal Ralph's shopper for 30+ yrs.
Having nothing but "pleasant" shopping experiences...
- That all changed on Wednesday, January 23rd @ 4:45 pm..
After Shopping 45 minutes - Store Manager "CLIFF BLACK" walked up to me
as I was *Checking Out* ( with my 5 lb. Chihuahua "SERVICE DOG" - in my arms )
and said in in- Stern, Loud, Voice "You can't have that dog here"!
-"You have to Leave!" - This came out-of-the-blue with no cause ot provocation!
NOTE:; [ other shoppers had dogs with them on leashes and in carts ]
I explained to him that it was OK ( allowed) because it's a *LEGAL SERVICE DOG*
and I'm "LEGALLY BLIND" entitled under +The Americans with Disabilities Act*
He said in an extreamly RUDE VOICE " What does he do for you..Press the Numbers?"
-referring to the keypad checkout- He Humiliated and Embarassed me in front of Employees and other Patrons!..going so far as to follow me out into the Parking Lot!
...for NO REASON ..it was SENSELESS!...This guy is a "Ticking Time-Bomb"
It was reviewed (video) by Ralph's Corporate ...spoke/emailed/corresponded with them
- They Gave me a $50 store Credit as a "SORRY"...But NO FORMAL APPOLOGY! +RUDE+ Marck B.

Ralphs Grocery horrible service

Went to meat department and ordered 10 pounds of Chicken backs. They didn't have but said come back in two days. Did so, but no record of order. Made a new order. Returned in two days. New person behind counter. No record of order. Made a new order. Came back two days later. Same story. Went to manager, he didn't care. They don't give order receipts so you can prove anything.

Ralphs Grocery overcharging

The Ralph's store in Santa Monica on Cloverfield and Colorado as well as the Ralph's on Washington Blvd in Culver city have both overcharged me more than once in their self check out line. I have had to get the manager to explain to me why this is still happening and how many others have the same problem but do not bother to report it. I cannot stand to be ripped off by anyone. Ralph's prices have jumped sky high and I switched from Albertsons to Ralph's and now I am going to have to rethink where I will shop next. I do no like having to worry about every thing I check out that I am not getting the sale price or any discounts. This problem is happening more and more lately and I think Ralph's/Kroger should be ashamed of themselves! We have enough to worry about day to day with this economy and I do not need to worry about a market ripping me off!

If you're so concerned about price maybe you should be shopping at a no-frills grocery store where you bag your own groceries and there are less services. These grocery stores sell the same products for much cheaper. Watch the screen when your being rung through and make sure the prices are correct. It's not like they are ripping you off on purpose and if you mention that it's coming up wrong they will fix it for you.

Ralphs Grocery rip off

Ralph's super service center located at 2805 n hwy 89, Chino Valley, Arizona is a HUGE HUGE RIP OFF! They will stick it to you if you take your vehicle to them! There are only three things they really know, LIE, CHEAT & STEAL! They replace what is easiest for them and most costly for you! They do not know how to repair the problem nor do they stand behind their work! They claim the manufacturers specs are wrong, that they know better (ha ha ha)! What a bunch of *** *** people! BEWARE of Ralph's Super *** RIP OFF Service Center!

Just to let everyone know about Ralphs super service center 2805 n hwy 89, Chino Valley, Ariz. They are really a super rip off center! The quotes they give are much less than the bill will be! I was quoted $171 for transmission service billed $347, had also asked for cooling system flush of which they charged for 2gal anti freeze when car only takes 3quarts [the other gallon probably went into their shop supplies which are always on our bills]! My bill ended up over $2600 and they did not have even one second to answer a question! Beware ofRalphs super RIP OFF center located at 2805 n hwy 89, Chino Valley, Arizona. They will reem you if you go there!

Ralphs super *** RIP OFF service center 2805 n hwy 89, Chino Valley, Az finally saw some of my adds warning the public [us] about them. Their reply was "Hey Steve, if your so unhappy with Ralphs you could at least have the balls to come in and talk about it instead of hiding behind anonymous postings all over the internet." Ralph is silent partner that they will NOT let in the shop, I was told [probably honest?] Who is hiding! Well it does not take balls to go back there[I was there for 2hrs after car was finished, they were to busy to talk to me!] it shows brains to never go back to a place that stole your money and did most of the job wrong! STAY AWAY FROM RALPHS SUPER [*** RIP OFF] SERVICE CENTER LOCATED AT 2805 N HWY 89, CHINO VALLEY, ARIZONA! They will rip you off and say it is your fault [ha ha ha]!
