Raine Systems is residential water softeners door to door sells. The many complaints and bad rep that the company was getting for other softener businesses about their poor and fraudulent sales tactics for one sales person, his name is Joe Yonan co owner of Raine Systems. The complaints stem from fluctuating prices (if you have a Mercedes in the drive way your price is going to be a lot more then the persons with the ford escort a few doors down for the exact same equipment) he lies that their is a builder rebate and acts if he is with a builder program when he is in know way affiliated with a builder, he also tosses in the factory rebate on the equipment when there is not one of those either to get the consumer to bite. He also misrepresent the equipment that the capacity of the unit is much higher then it is, That a Media Shield that is placed in the unit will last twice as long then it does and that you wont need to add salt for a year and so on their installers have no experiance and if you need service they send out their 16 year old or wife to try and figure it out, and if you are Asian or Hispanic he really turns up the Bull.. This is first hand knowledge, with witnesses. The bottom line is this guy is all over the Houston and Katy area pushing these systems with false statements to make the sale. He is the biggest con artist that I have ever been around. All that know him can't trust him and should not, and I think consumers should be warned about this company. He also has a bad reputation for slamming the other companies out there while making his sales pitch to consumers. I could go on and on about this person and his partner. They have done business under Rayne of Houston which was bought out by Dupure International then they started Raine Systems, Rayne Pure and now thinking of changing there name again to Infinity Water.
BEWARE OF THESE GUYS!

I have hired the Infinity water Systems about a year ago to install a water softening system in my home. When they convinced me to give them my business they promised excellent customer service and lifetime warranty for their system. Since I got the product I have been facing problems with it. Since, they installed water system outside my home i.e. in the yard without any cover whenever its rains the rain water always goes into the brine tank and completely dissolves the salt inside. Inspite of spending time and money on installing water softener system, we always get hard water. But we found a temporary solution of covering the system tightly with a bubble wrap. But that was just a start of our problems with their system.
Recently Inspite of not using my dishwasher, it would get completely full with water and water starts leaking out. Since its GE dishwasher I called in GE servicemen to repair it. He came in and said that there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher its just the water filter system under the sink was installed wrong. The drainage from the water filter system was connected to drainage from the dishwasher, so instead of water draining out, the water was backing up into dishwasher. The GE repairmen completely separated the water filter system from the dishwasher and leaking of water stopped. He suggested that I should call infinity water system and explain the problem and ask them to come out and put a different draining mechanism without interfering with dishwasher. When I called the infinity water systems they were not even willing to listen about the problem, they kept saying it was ### and that their system is not connected in anyway to dishwasher. When I said that I personally saw a pipe going from water filter to dishwasher, the owner started yelling at me without any regard to minimum courtesy. All I want them to do is correct their own mistake, instead of doing that they were extremely rude and offensive. Infact this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. I was completely aghast by their behaviour. I sincerely hope BBB could resolve this matter for us. Thank you BBB for giving customers like us a platform to share our grievances.

I think its funny that you talk about brushing up on business skills. My friend in Aliana when you knocked on his door you immediately started bad mouthing another company. I recently saw your saws you started putting up in my neighborhood. I wish you would stay away from where me and my friends live.

Old fat man? LOL - How old are you, Habib? 10? I would consider your review valid, but when you stoop that low, it makes you look 10x worse than Raine Systems. Now, on to my review: I bought from them when they were Rayne Systems. I have no complaints or gripes, except when they went under, my information was given to DuPure International. The work they did could have voided my warranty. Then when I tried to find Rayne on the internet, Raine tried to pass themselves off as Rayne, which is kind of shady. It was the way things came up when you googled Rayne. Raine claimed they could do all of the warranty work for Rayne. Really? Uh, no, but they tried to pass it off as if they could. Chris, I feel for you and your family. You should never have been treated this way, and anyone who slams another company (such as the allegedly did to your new one) needs to brush up on their business skills. I wish you all the best.

Joe installed a system at my friends house in River stone two months ago. The Water spigot for the RO leaked. My friends cabinets were ruined and Joe refused to fix them. He gave a great price but be aware of this old fat man.

Beware of this guy Joe. His team gives shabby service and products are substandard and on top of all this, he never responds once he receives the payment.

First, I did not make these statements about Joe Yonan or Raine Systems. Second of all, yes I did leave as a very disgruntled ex-employee, and my name is Chris, I have nothing to hide here and I will let the truth be known. I am here to tell the truth. Yes, I did leave your company and start out on my own and the last time I checked I have the right as a US Citizen to make a living for me and family. No, I was not the one that was out bashing or slandering your name. But you did a good job doing it to me. You would think after nearly 10 years of working for a company that I would have been treated better. Those nearly 10 years were HELL on me and my family, I worked 6 sometimes seven days a week, If I even asked for a Saturday off or called in sick I was threaten with my job, I was verbally and physically abuse, I was promised many things but they never delivered. I was promises pay for extra work that I did designing the company logo, building the company website (which you still use) making the door hangers, business cards, and brochures among other things which I did during my off time. I even had you steal the web domain “rainesystems.com” from me that was registered to me, in my name not yours, by calling the host provider saying that you were me, getting access to my account and then transferring the domain name to yourself as if I gave or sold it to you. And to top it off nonpayment of nearly $30, 000.00 for softener installation that you promises to get to me. So yes, I left very unhappy. It’s really hard to raise 3 children and pay bills when you don’t get paid.

I completely agree, the owner is a hard selling sheister who has sold two units in my Katy area neighborhood including mine. The products were entirely overpriced. It is a questionable company that has been through many failed partnerships and legal battles over shoddy work and representation. BEWARE.

To anyone reading this board, the message obstensibly written by Ingrid above is a hoax. The message was written by a disgruntled ex-employee, Chris Palmer, who left and tried to start his own water conditioning company in competition with us. He is no longer in the water conditioning business.

Anyone reading the complaint would notice that for a customer who did not buy a system from us, she knows all about our past history and non-published company plans for the future. Additionally, she says that Joe is spreading lies all over Houston and Katy. As a potential customer how would you know that? How would she know that everybody that deals with us thinks Joe is a con artist?

Remember this site does not require any proof or validation for anyone to post a statement and the company has no ability to talk to the complainant or attempt to solve any of their complaints. If you look below, there is no way to contact "the complaintsboard" except by email. The Better Business Bureau allows both sides to have their say and then try to mediate the problem, thereby avoiding baseless nonsense like was posted by the phantom "Ingrid".

By the way, if you review the BBB report for Raine Systems you will see that it has a A+ rating. A much more reliable source of information.

I recently purchased a Raine system from Joe Yonan and found him to be very responsible and the information he gave me was right on as I had already reseached on the internet. The installers were very knowledgeable and courteous. I was told to check the salt on a regular basis, that for my water usage it would probably need added every 3 months or so. "Probably not definately" He stopped by and checked on installation process to make sure things were OK. I have NO complaints about this Company or their installers. Perhaps there was a communication problem for the person above. Maybe he was short handed at the time. I don't know. All I know is that you can't please all the people all of the time. I also know that you can't please some people ever. I am a very happy purchaser and would reccommend them to everyone I know.
