I bought 2 cats from Laura Gregory of Ragtime
RagaMuffins. I paid $700 for the cats under the assumption they were
healthy. I was presented with health certificates that looked authentic
but are now suspect since I've have had non stop health issues with both
cats since the day I got them. I've contacted Laura by phone and email
but have received no reply to my concerns. I brought the cats to my vet
within 3 days of purchase, as instructed in the contract. My vet is
willing to write a certified letter indicating that at that time both
cats had conjunctivitis and one had an upper respiratory infection and
still does after 6 weeks of antibiotics. Now, both cats have ringworm
but they weren't diagnosed with ringworm at the initial vet visit.
About a month ago, I contracted ringworm and brought the cats to the vet
to see if they were the cause and the vet confirmed they had it. I have
dates and medical bills to back up my complaints. I would like Laura to
acknowledge she sold me sick cats and probably still is selling highly
priced cats that are infected with ringworm and the other medical
issues. I want her to stop breeding and selling cats until she gets
these medical issues under control. I would also like compensation for
the medical bills I've incurred for both myself and the cats since the
time of purchase. She might be interested in knowing I've reported my
complaint about her to the following associations ACFA (American Cat
Fanciers Association), CFF (Cat Fanciers Federation), AACE (American
Association of Cat Enthusiasts), CFA (Cat Fanciers Association), and
TICA (The International Cat Association). In addition, I've emailed
everyone in my entire work and personal addresses books to make them
aware of my complaint. I will continue to find other complaint websites
and-or letters to the editor and the Better Business Bureau to make as
many people as possible aware of this situation. Below is her
information in case anyone wants to contact her regarding my complaint.
I would be interested in hearing what her response would be.
