Ordered a Rado watch on the internet, they delivered a R.E.M cd. When you try to call or send email, they just ignore you. Now I know why people are scared to order online, because of dishonest companies like these.
watch glass came off
I bought this rado watch little bit more than 2 years ago and use to just wore it occasionally. Just one day while at party, the top crystal glass just felt down on its own. That was so embarassing when you hav bought such an expensive watch and u never expect atleast tht to happen. I went to service centre and now they r asking for so much to get that fixed. They say since its more than 2 years old to thts not gona b covered under anything. Don't know what to do whether just let it go. Haven't ever heard from anyone even who is using same brand from past 15 years. I think it was faulty when i purchased it that is why it was on sale. Please suggest. Thanks
I've had the same issue, my watch is around 3yrs old, sat in a meeting at work and the glass just fell off. I have sent a message to Rado, hopefully, they will provide a solution, i'll update hope I get on
Had the same issue with the glass falling off of the wifes' watch. Jeweller has quoted £720 to repair and service, Rado want over £1000 !
Will never buy a Rado watch again - pure rubbish.
I have Similar problem too . My Rado Glass fell off . Since its more than 2 yrs, not covered by warranty. Given to RADO service center . Just to put the Glass they are asking more than 75% to the cost of New watch . As no choice but taken back . Is there is any alternative solution . I can be contacted at following email address. After few emails to Rado customer service, I finally received a response to help me with my watch. To my surprise Rado fixed my watch free of any charges to me, including shipping and insurance. This is how customer service should be. Very satisfied with the service.
About two years old and lost the glass. Didn't know when it happened. Very disappointed especially with an expensive watch. This has never happened to my other less expensive watches.
Yes I had a similar problem last week and local dealer is charging me Aed 1000 for repairs as it has passed the two year warranty--
such an expensive watch and not just worth the price

The glass just fell off my Rado watch and boyfriend said it must be fake until he found this website. Such a beautiful watch but I've had this for quite a while and wore it almost daily for three years then stopped wearing it for four years and just recently put it on for a wedding. So sad.
I also have the same brand, same model, Same problem, did you find any solution ? Please let me know .

I had no idea this was such a common problem.
I've just spent some hours on behalf of a friend who had one end of the rectangular crystal lift slightly. The face and glass were covered in particles. I think it's doable, but requires some very careful procedures to overcome the strange design. For example, pressing the back on. What precautions must be taken to obviate pressure on the glass? That kind of stress may well flatten the curve and pull the bond from the two small fixing points. A high street battery place would not be lightly to give it a thought.
I wondered if I might do these as a retirement job - I've been restoring chronometers for a while and this would be relatively easy. Comments on the need for this would be appreciated.

I bought a Rado watch during a cruise...duty free. I was told they were an authorized dealer. I dropped the watch and the stem cracked. I took it in for a repair under the "lifetime" warranty. They said that the cruise dealer was not authorized. They sent my watch to a repair facility. When I got it back it wasn't the same watch. My watch was perfect. This one had pits on the second hand. They switched watches on me. When I complained they denied it. I'll NEVER recommend Rado to anyone.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Do not buy RADO watch it never lasts long. The glass peels off very easily and the dials come off. Servicing is almost same as the watch cost. Better go for an Omega or Seiko which lasts for years and has a reputable service history.

Me and my family bought Rado watch about 8 Watches sorry to say that the longest they worked was 14 months every one of them is in a drawer not working. Some of these have costed in excess of 500 pounds in service and battery replacement but as soon as you have the service and battery the glass falls off. They are good looking watches but badly designed. I will never buy of recommend RADO TO ANYONE. BAD WATCHES POOR SERVICE.
I am glad you are so lucky in your country. I definitely can't say the same for the Swatch Group service centre in Melbourne. Australia. I have not come across such poor service in a long time.
I do have a rado watch since 1986 and it seldom required service. Whenever I approach the service center in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, they give me the best of the services and I have no complain.

I must admit it appears the Rado customer service experience is an unpleasant one. I will never recomment Rado either. The people I talked to about the problem with my Rado watch were very unhelpful and did the minimum they obvioulsy thought they could legally get away with. There was no recognition that I had a genuine problem, and I did not get the impression at any time that they gave a damn at all. Most unexpected in this day and age where service breeds a good reputation.
I also have a Rado automatic watch. right from the beginning the watch is running fast fore 3 to 4 minutes to a day. I have lodged a E-mail complaint to rado company. But I have not yet received any replay (23.10.2012). I am not at all happy with this and I never recommend for anyone for Rado watch.
I also have had problems with a Rado watch. The watchband has been faulty since I bought it. The watch continually falls off my wrist even though I put the keepers on.
Even though the watch is still under warranty the Swatch Group in Melbourne, Australia want to charge me over a $1000 to replace the watchband.
I agree. Do not buy a RADO watch. The support is very sad.

I have another rado watch complaint. I bought 2 watches of rado diastar last July ( just last month ). It was really expensive, but bought it for myself as present during hard days work. Four days after I bought it, my watch accidentally fell down from the table where I use to put it. This happens to my other watches often and all my watches are still fine. I came to pick it up and was thinking that nothing bad would ever happen to it considering the price compared to my cheap watches. But I was surprised when I saw the crack on the " said titanium carbide case" ( which is really expensive ) and what more, is that the watch stopped. I hurried to get the manual since my watch is obviously under warranty. I called the store and said that the crack was not under warranty and that I have to pay 12, 800 pesos just for that simple crack. I asked them if they could just repair my watch and get the case of my watch in exchange of a new case not charge me for the whole case anymore, but they refused. So, that means the whole case with a little crack would just go to waste and not recycled. My point is, how can a watch as expensive as this be easily broken or busted that easily? The same thing happens to my watches and they never busted.. I will never ever recommend buying RADO watches again... Durability... Nah.. Warranty... Nah...

I wonder why the company did not provide safety feature from such leakages.

I already service in TIME CARE (indonesia) partner of Rado service in indonesia. 4 mounth i am waitting for a machine /rotor not coming.
I think Rado give me a "failed product".
So must give me a new watch or give me money back.
