Quick Weight Loss Centers is designed to take advantage of vulnerable overweight clients, such as myself. As a consumer you are drawn to their ads and radio advertisements with guarantee that you will lose 3-7lbs per week with food from home and no exercise. I was coursed and sold a miracle diet plan under false pretenses. From the company’s advertisements to the deceitful sales pitch of their counselors, I have been lied to! I personally have been trying to lose weight for over 10 years. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, an illness that causes infertility and insulin resistance. Just in December 2008 I was hospitalized and given a blood transfusion as a result of the excessive bleeding. I went in poor health desperately hoping I could reverse the symptoms with weight loss.

I was initially lured into the center by the radio advertisements claiming the program was medically safe, the plan is designed around home cooked food, no exercise needed, and every bit was a lie. When I initially agreed to join the program the representative asked me inappropriate questions to belittle me and humiliate me into signing up. The “counselor” I met with on my first day (01/26/09) assured me that losing 130lbs was possible by simply following their diet plan and nothing more. She purposely did not disclose how the plan worked in it’s entirety in order to make a sale. She asked I pay a deposit in order to begin & installments for a 44 week regimen to lose 130lbs. She assured me that “the cost of the plan included everything, no hidden fees, weekly weight loss guaranteed of 3-7lbs, and supplements would be supplied at no additional cost; although they were not necessary. Obviously now I know this was too good to be true. She had a very thick accent and spoke very quickly to push me into signing paperwork. When I asked to read it she stated she already went over all the details and began asking me questions about my personal life that I did not feel pertained to my weigh loss. She never once asked to speak with my doctor nor cared much about my illness. She asked questions about my love life and how my weight affected it. This was a ploy to make me feel close to her knowing that was a very sensitive subject for anyone who is overweight. She had a box of tissues on her desk as if she was expecting her clients to cry; which I did with the embarrassing questions she made me answer, humiliating me because I am obese. Then she asked I return the next day to “get started.”

When I came in (01/27/09) and I advised the girl at the front desk I was there to “get started.” She told me that according to my file I was not even in the preparation stage yet and I would have to speak with the counselor, I did not know what this meant. She weighed me and sent me home. When I returned with my concerns the counselor told me I would not “get started” until I paid $378! She spoke down to me making fun of my incompetence for losing weight on my own making me feel shamed into continuing with the clinic. When I returned with the full payment (02/10/09) again she used these tactics to force me to sign paperwork without fully reading the details. She told me she would provide me with copies of everything, which she never did nor disclosed crucial information to me as the client. She gave me a bag of supplements that she kept stating were free, but instructed not to use them. I began the preparation phase still not being provided with any services from your facility. She stated I would not officially begin until I took the nutrition class. I did everything this deceitful woman asked of me then she accused me of eating fattening foods when I returned to be weighed in. This accusation as false since I had my menstruation and gained 1lb; therefore, she stated she would have to extend the preparation phase even further out.

Finally she scheduled me for a nutrition class to "get started" and this is when I realized it was clearly just a sales presentation to force the client into buying overpriced food (supplements). When I refused all of a sudden she claimed the clinic’s foods and excercise are a requirement in order to guarantee the weight loss and I would be incurring additional costs. These hidden fees prove the deception of the clinic. This method of hiding the truth about a product or service until after it is sold is illegal. I was completely lied to and taken advantage of! I was so upset I began shaking and demanded my money back. The counselor continued to speak down to me stating I will never lose the weight on my own. In the end she stated she did not have the authority to give me a refund, but would forward it to her supervisor and she would call me in the morning.

When her supervisor called she also spoke down to me regarding my weight. She gave no apologies for the counselor’s behavior or misrepresentation. In fact she reiterated that the supplements are necessary for weight loss under their program and the enrollment fee was non-refundable. I went over that same day and returned their bag of unopened supplements along with a letter requesting a full refund for being sold a service under false pretenses. Since then I have filed a with Bank of America and the Better Business Bureau, Quick Weight Loss Centers is claiming I signed documentation stating the products I received were non-refundable and did not attend the clinic 3 times a week as required. I did in fact return the merchandise that was never explained to me as being non-refundable. On top of that I never officially began with the program, but I did visit the clinic every time I was required. It is apparent that the counselor did not have my best interest at heart. For that reason she never contacted my physician and knowingly mislead me using my low self esteem as a key to my debit card. I do not feel Quick Weight Loss Center deserves even a penny of my money. The services were not fully described to me until after I was robbed. I would never have provided them with my credit card if I would have known the full extent of the plan. They are thieves and I demand this claim be reconsidered, I cannot let them get away with this. I should not pay for services that were falsely misrepresented with the intention of the employee’s profit. I paid for services that were never received. I was lied to and that is unjust. The merchant’s statement is false and absurd! I requested a full refund and cancellation, how dare they say I did not go in periodically as requested and I returned their products unopened. I was not allowed to start until I gave them my money. Once I finally did, I found out all the lies I was told and how I was taken advantage of! I am the victim of discrimination against the overweight. Because of my condition this company is attempting to steal my money and defame my character.

I wish I had done my homework before being lured into this scam program. 20 lbs for $20 means $20 + %500 for supplements. 3-5 lbs a week is a joke. I have been on this restrictive, tasteless diet, including 80 oz of water per day fo 6 weeks and lost barely 10 lbs. Now they want me to buy $100+ worth of supplements to continue. At this rate it will take 8-10 weeks or more to maybe lose the weight I need and who knows how much more money. Only one staff member was helpful and empathetic when I was not losing any weight, the manager pushes product and one guy with white coat syndrome (not a doctor) said he knew that I must not be following the program correctly. They say you can eat out, but there is no restaurant where you can order 4oz of white meat chicken baked with no salt, 1 cup of steamed allowed vegetables with no salt or 2 cup of only green raw vegetables with only vinegar for dressing. I would not recommend this scam to anyone. I am done!

What I can say about this program…. I am in my 7th week out of 12 weeks, and I have lost 19 lbs. So I think it works, however… This is a business and as a business they want to sell sell sell…..
When I heard about this program on the radio they said 99 for 4 weeks and I said that is great…. But, it’s not true …. When I went for consultation the program went from over 2000 to 698. That 698 included the supplements for 6 weeks, 3 boxes of a protein shakes, 1 box of fiber and 3 boxes of energy boost, 12 weeks office visits and 4 more weeks of office visits after you are done with the program . I knew it was a lot of money buy I did it, I asked them before signing that if this was all I will have to pay and they yes, and in a very low voice just supplement that is all. I though vitamins and stuff not big deal…. After few days of prep I took a class and at the end and the class-video the real true of the program came through. They want to hit you with a ridiculous member ship that it will cost over 2000 and if you said no they keep trying to sell you anything and everything. The guy that it was trying to sell me all the stuff got very nasty when I refuse to buy anything. Then he show me graphs of numbers and numbers of savings if I get the member ship…. I still said no…..
After the class I got home and then this is when I got smart, I did my homework and with the supplements I got from them when I sing up I was able to see the manufacture for the pills and with a very little more research I found out you can buy everything online for a lot less money. Some items 50% less like the energy booster (QWL 39 – Online 20) (Metabolizer QWL 155 – Online 129) I though the energy bars where ridicules expensive $18 per 6 or 7 bars…. So that is when I said to myself let see if I can find something in the market close enough for a less money…. And unfortunately from them all the supplements, bars and more have all the nutrition fact in QWL website, then I learned what I need it to look for…. For example in the bars
Calories= less than 200
Sodium= Less tan 200mg
Protein= more than 10g
Sugars= Less than 10g
Total fat= less than 10g
Now, bars like this are not that easy to find and regular stores, so I went to Nutrition smart and whole foods, and I was able to find what I was looking for.
Then, I officially stared the program and within the first week they still trying to sell me their stuff, that is when I got upset and I told then I was able to find everything online….. They were very surprise when I knew the manufacture and the best part for me it was when they ask me to buy at least the protein bars, they instead that I have to take the protein bars to succeed ….and I told them I was taking them but a different ones…. They said I must to follow the program because and other bars may not be good for me, then I told them about my criteria selecting them …. I said I’m looking for less than 200 calories and the guy cut me off and said it’s not just about the calories, so I kept going with the sugar lees than 10g and he said that is way too much sugar… so I ask him do you know how many grams of sugar your bars have? And guess what? He did not know…. Then I said your QWL bars have from 6g to 14g of sugar… Then I finish with the rest of nutrition facts and he was very surprise…
Then he said if you do not take our products we cannot guaranty you lose the weight, I told him I had no choice because they were not honest to me about the cost and I will not buy anything from them. I told them 698 was a lot of money and I will not spend 150 to 200 a week in products I can buy for ½ of the price somewhere else. Then he made me singed a paper that they will no guarantee that I will lose the weight due to I’m using other products ….
However. I think besides the sell sell sell crap they give you, I think the program works. I cannot imagine not to be able to lose weight if you follow the diet…. It’s very hard diet but I’m sure if you do everything they tell you to do (except to buy their products) you will lose the weigh, May not be as quick as they claim but you will lose they weight quick.
After my 6th week my pills-supplements ended but I was able to find them online, and I did replace few of them like the FDS’s, Fiber, multivitamins and I stop taking the energy boost (amazing product by the way but a bit expensive for me, about 20 a week) I purchased online Metabolizer and carb blocker.
If you stick with it I believe you will lose the weight, I’m sure if you modified few things you will get results…. But the only thing I never modified was the diet…. If you are going to do the program do your homework….

I was lured in by the advertisements as well. The woman told me that everything I needed was included in the $653.00 price tag and I was strapped for cash as it was. I needed to loose weight because of my health. I have lost 24 pounds, however I have ceased to go back and weight in because they are not interested in hearing anything about why I can't afford their supplements and products (that I did not know about, because the woman did not tell me I had to continually purchase anything), they just want to sell something. I also noticed that their products are from Canada or the UK which led me to believe that they may be trying to circumvent the FDA with their products. I finally went to GNC and found the same natural ingredients with some slight differences for a much cheaper price tag, and they work. I won't be going back to Quick weight loss centers.

My interaction with Quick Weight Loss Center in Pembroke Pines, FL was very brief, thank goodness. My husband and I went into the center looking for some information on the program. When the gentleman at the front desk finally gave us some attention, we let him know that we were looking for some information about the program. He gave us each very long and extensive forms to fill out asking all kinds of personal and health history information. I filled it out but my husband did not citing that he was just looking for a pamphlet or booklet about the program. A very nasty lady who did not identify herself or her role, told him that he had to fill out the papers or she could not assess whether or not he would be "compatible" for the program. He declined but she called me to the back towards a scale. When I said that I didn't want to be weighed, that I was only looking for information, she became irate and told us that she had a waiting room full of clients and I could get information on the program on the website. "Thank you for coming and have a nice day" as she shuffled us out the front door. I'm glad that I didn't get the chance to be swindled. The only regret I have is that i didn't ask for our paperwork back because it has all of my personal information on it. I don't put it past these people to do something unscrupulous with my information.

the only way to get real results is by balancing the hormones and transmitters in your body naturally! everything else is a waste of money because you will certainly gain the weight back!

Hi all!
I went for my free initial consultation last week. The rep was friendly and very upfront with me. She answered the ton of detailed questions I had and was accepting of me. She gave me detailed information about the cost of the program and products. She explained I am encouraged to visit the counselors 3-5 times a week. She gave me a timeline of how many pounds I should be able to lose and how long it should take. She explained the last six months of the program are for maintenance purposes. That is the time where I will learn how to eat without losing weight and learn a lifestyle that will help me keep the weight off. There is a nutritionist on site and video instruction to reinforce their nutritional method. She explained all foods are typical grocery foods. In the beginning I will be on a restricted diet which would be determined after I have a complete body analysis and lifestle assessment. She said taking the supplements and vitamins is recommended, but not mandatory. After I went home I researched the product supplent ingredients. They are legit and although they are not FDA approved they are well known substances you can find information on the net. In fact the ingredients are herbal supplements that are well known to chinese medicine that promote weight loss in normal people. I plan to buy the same herbal supplements online for less. The rep said the program allows for their clients to purchase products elsewhere. I was happy about that. One nice experience I had was when I was leaving the clinic a woman was coming in. I asked her some wuestions about her experience with the program. She told me the place is legit and she highly recommends it. She said she lost 60 lbs in approx 4 months time. I was so pleased I had the chance to interview the woman. I am not in a hurry to lose massive amounts of pounds rapidly. 3-5 lbs a week I think is amazing. If I lose 1 lb a week I would be happy. I will return to this blog periodically to update. Thanks! :)

This plan is a total rip off and even if you think you're intelligent enough not to be taken you probably will. I went to their "free consultation" and they are not interested in giving you any information, only to make sure you sign up for the program $699.00. You walk out feeling that you have been taken advantage of and since the papers you signed tell you that your money is not refundable you return to give it a try. Big mistake, the nutrition session is a joke and at the end they want to trap you into buying $1, 300 in must have supplements. No matter how hard you try to explain that you can't afford that kind of expense they will not back down. My personal opinion is that if you truly have a good program that guides you to achieve your goals for weight loss you would not rely on such tactics. I wish that we had better laws to protect vulnerable people from scams like these.

QWL is definitely deceiving the public. Their ads on TV and the newspapers are lies! They don't tell you anything
Until they get your money. Once they have your credit card info, they spring on you even more things you have to buy. They claim real food, what a joke! You have to eat their shakes and puddings and bars, and multiple pills, at least twice a day. As for liquids, you must drink aproximately 80 oz. a day or more sometimes. Anyway, I won't spend another day or dollar on QWL again.

Anyone who has completed QWL program and has not lost at least close to the scheduled contracted pounds couldn't have followed instructions properly. It only works IF you follow ALL instructions ALL the way to the end. I was losing 3 to 5 pounds a week until I started slacking on my ingredients. Adding things that probably weren't on the diet. Basically, CHEATING!) I was very loyal to myself and my plan until changes in my life (moving, living in a hotel and an illness in the family). I found it very difficult to faithfully continue with the program. No fault of the "Program".

The only downfall to the whole experience is that just like any other weight loss program, once you get off the program if you don't continue what you were taught all the weight and sometimes more will return. I lost almost 50 pounds and felt wonderful. I have gained 39 back. It is a game of will power. If you don't have the will power, NO diet system is going to ever work for you.

Yes, some of their sales tactics may seem a little shady. There were some counselors that I would cross my fingers and hope someone else got "stuck" with them. But most really did care whether I met my goal or not.

Financially I don't think I would want to do it again. But if money isn't an issue, this program is GREAT!

I've heard many comments regarding the QWLC. After reviewing I decided to go ahead and give them a try. Well of course, I was told that it would be only $30 for $30 days which was what I was expecting. After meeting with the ladies at the clinic, I felt welcomed and happy I had choosed them. We went through supplments, etc.. the final bill I was told at the time was only going to be around $500 which I thought was expensive but desperate to lose weight so I went for it. Well, low and behold two days later I checked my bank account, which I monitor on a continuous basis, and saw a charge for almost $2000 from QWLC, one charge of the initial $500 (which I am rounding up cause I dont have the exact amount in front of me) and then a seperate charge for almost $1500. I contacted them immediately and they remembered who I was. The lady on the phone said "no this was the complete charge". I explained to her the receipt I had only showed the $500 amount. She then went on to explain that they had "forgotten to give me my receipt for the supplements." I thought his was absurd so of course I went over there to complain and get my receipt. The lady "kindly furthered explained there was nothing she could do because there are no refunds once the supplements and foods have left the building." Needless to say I was stuck with this bill and food that I have yet to eaten. It is now December and I bought all that crap in July! Lesson learned, I guess. I don think QWLC is a scam the system may actually work but their tactics are! Melissa

I received an offer for weight loss supplements when I ordered a piece of exercise equipment. I ordered the trial version giving them one time authorization to charge me $4.95. I noticed that my debit card has been charged for 22.95 but received no supplements. I have contacted my bank to stop further payments to this company.

Wow this reviews are really helpful, I was considering calling qwlc and give them a chance. I know someone who worked for them and he did say it woks for a few people but that the owners and their family are on the plus size which makes no sense if you think about it

I joined QWLC at the Southlake GA location to loose 50 lbs. After spending $400 for a 2 month plan, I was optimistic that this would work. I had never been on a diet plan before and was committed to loosing weight. I followed the program and had some digestive issues. I lost 6 lbs the first week and was so excited. After that first week, I slowly lost 1/2 lb here and there. As of today, 3 months later, I have only lost a total of 10 lbs. I kept the food journal and was honest about what I ate. Out of 3 months, I only went "off plan" a total of 10 times total.

What upset me the most was the lack of support I received from the counselors at the Southlake location. With the exception of Tina and 1 other lady, I NEVER received any words of encouragement--just criticism and dismissive attitudes. Today when Diane called me, I expressed to her my frustration and she immediately tried to sell me on buying more weeks! When I told her that I was not going to spend more money on this when I didn't get my monies worth the first time, she immediately pointed out that I didn't stick to the plan and ate pizza. I told her that I knew what I had eaten and kept the food journal. This is exactly the poor attitude and support I received from QWLC. For this to have been my first go at a weight loss program, I have to say I am very disappointed--not as much for my struggles with the plan but with the lack of support from the counselors.

I joined and August 8, 2014. This is August 25. I lost 5 lbs the 1st week but nothing after. The degradation I heard every time I went made me feel awful about myself. The sale aspect is all they are interested in. I too was shocked after my "nutritional " class that I had to spend another $689 after I already gave them $549. I told them I couldn't afford it. What if something went wrong with my car? What if an emergency came up? Most importantly my husband had almost died of Sepsis and had been in one hospital or another for 2 months in New York (we live in Fl. But he became I'll up there). I had to come home to spend time with my autistic son. What if there was another emergency phone call and I needed a plane ticket to get up there quick?! They didn't care about any of this and I stupidly fell for this! We are retired and get paid once a month. Guess what? My car did break down with repairs totaling $500. Guess what? I did have to fly back up to NY to my husband's side! Guess what? They don't care! They also call almost daily to see why I haven't been in and how is my weight! Unbelievable ! They are scam artists and this is a con! Also, diet way to restrictive and hard to follow especially when you need to sit in a hospital room with someone you care about and are worried about. This last few days until Friday when we get our monthly checks are scary. Buying food and gas for the car are stressing me out due to what I paid QWLC . They didn't care about that either when I was on the phone with them crying while pleading my case. No refund no exceptions! Has anyone ever received a refund from this place?

I joined over 5 months ago and I haven't lost a pound. I have tried all of their special programs to jump start my weight loss. Yesterday I was accused of not following their program. I spent over $4000 so why wouldn't I follow the program. I have asked for refund but they just keep putting me off. They just keep saying let try this program. I have boxes and boxes of supplements and products that I can not use or sell. I have tried selling them on Craigslist but I have only gotten one person who has offered me way less than what I paid for them.

I went to my Dr. and had blood work done to see if my potassium was low my Dr. took me off all supplements started feeling better my bllod work came back that it was not my potassium. My Dr, said everyone is different to supplements. I called the Clinic and spoke to Susan and told her and asked if I could get a refund she said they do NOT do refunds! No where in the paper work did I see this statement now I have all this products out 3, 000.00 and they do not care, Nice place to do business with NOT! I came here from looking into QWLC. I am skeptical just because of where I hear the ads and the people endorsed by them. Do you really believe you can lose weight by spending money on a service and not putting in any effort? The success stories here were successful due to their own, personal efforts, not because of QWLC. If they want to give credit to QWLC, that's on them. You can't lose weight without changing your diet and exercising. Anyone or anything what tells you otherwise is a lying. If you fall for it, it's your own fault. They target Right Wing Conservatives and other rubes with their ads. Look at their tactics. Read the complaints. Ask yourself if you believe everything you see in the media and in advertisements. If you say yes, you need to rethink your life. The Bible says Satan will try to trick you into abandoning God. By accepting capitalism and this so-called democracy, Satan has succeeded.

They are a SCAM and RIP OFF! DO NOT sign up with them. They are only there to take your money. They are not professionals, do not do a health history and refuse to take their products back or return your money (even after they ve made a mistake). They only push their products and never tell you that you don't have to use their products in order to lose it. They never completed a health history on me and confirmed that they had not (they were rushing for lunch that day, and had a new trainee/employee). Nevertheless, I was allergic to their products, which could have been deadly to me (SOY) due to a severe medical condition that I have. When I confronted them, they backtracked, refused to return the product or give me my money back. The area manager was told about it and stated they would get back to me, but never did. I called again today (because it was never resolved, and she stated if you would have come in awhile ago, I could've done something, but I can't do anything now. She didn't do anything then. DO NOT join with this company. They are a complete RIP OFF. See the link and you will see other complains. SHAME ON YOU QUICK WEIGH T LOSS!

To lose weight - Do it the old fashioned way - healthy diet, lots of water, excercise and lots of will power. You can do it. ZERO RATING! See other complaints at

I agree QWLC is total scam. I joined and had very similar experience as Bonman51. I wanted to loose 30 lbs by my HS reunion and procrastinated so after ALL the radio commercials joined. Like others didn't get the full deal till after the "nutrition counseling" i.e. sales pitch by some uneducated High School graduates. I laughed at it all a bit seeing as I went to Yale Medical School but heck I was game IF it was guaranteed. So I questioned this quite a bit. In the end it was stick with the program best you can, come in 3 times a week. If you don't loose 3-5 lbs a week, i.e. 30 lbs in 10 wks you can stay on the program as long as it takes to get there. I was all in. I measured, weighed, didn't even use sweetener or sugar free gum. Week one, no weight down. Excuse, oh most people don't loose first week, your body's just adjusting, Humm, every other diet I loose about 5 lbs in the first week, well this is different. Week 2-10 oh you missed one time of supplements, that's why, then you ate a nectarine vs. a peach or a plum vs. a prune, OH and the best one, I was using generic PAM vs. brand name, really the program is THAT finicky those little "deviations" are responsible for loosing 1 lb a week vs. 3-5? Yes it's a proven science according to them. It's "metabolically impossible" for someone to not loose weight on program. Then after 13 weeks on the "Program" they say well you are exercising and on the wrong plan. I have about 15 lbs to go they switch me to plan 3 with more food and give me 3 more weeks to loose it in. 10 weeks turns into 18 weeks (keeping in mind a daily sales pitch on food, supplements (which yeah you can buy elsewhere but then like another said you aren't guaranteed weight loss), the "Platinum" Program, and more weeks weight loss, huh? But it's guaranteed, why would I purchase more? Well you aren't going to get there in time, really duh? I lost consistently a lb a week. Fine, normal diet, same as weight watchers. I came to terms with that, even missed my goal of being a certain weight by HS reunion. I was mad for a while but decided hey if they are going to stick with me through getting to my goal I'll do it. Nope, still 10 lbs away from goal and they say you're out of weight loss weeks, you can enter stabilization or purchase more. But it's guaranteed that I loose the weight I committed to? She needed to speak to manager, comes back, no we can't honor that for you. Seriously? I said I am already a Lifetime Weight Watchers member and I can go there for free. It's a reputable company who honors their commitment to their customer, I'm done here. I turn around and never looked back. She is calling through center, "wait come back, don't be like that, I'm sure we can work something out." So stupid of them, weeks of weight loss go on sale for $11/wk. That is nothing compared to the food and supplements. Guess they won the battle but lost the war on that one. I even told them on my 4 week evaluation I really had nothing positive to say about the plan yet still they did nothing (besides tell me to drink apple cider vinegar, OMG disgusting). I don't have time to play these games. I'm sure they'll be calling but I fulfilled my end of the bargain. I am going to look at the "contract" again but we are considering a lawsuit. In reading this is sounds like a class action one honestly. I am sure it works for people who need to loose a lot of weight but any high protein, low cal/carb diet would. This is like all the diets in the world ever on the planet rolled into one. It's miserable, restrictive, deflating. Then they ask for referrals! I'm embarrassed to even tell anyone I fell for their promises. I joined because my BMI was borderline less than 2 years after having my 2nd baby. I am back down to pre-baby weight and about 20% body fat. Fine probably would've been anyway but the whole reason for this was I had a goal date which I missed. I figured if I was paying this much I'd have the rock hard lean body I always wanted but this diet is not for people who already have a healthy life style and exercise. I tried to make the best of it since I'd committed so much but I told them in the beginning and I'll say it here now, I have nothing positive to say about Quick Weight Loss Centers.

I had an interview with this organization a week ago and all I can say is don't be fooled -- QWLC is a SALES ORGANIZATION masquerading as a weight loss center. I went in to the interview expecting to answer questions about my background and passion for nutrition; However, halfway through the interview it became obvious that my passion for helping people make a positive difference in their lives was completely irrelevant. They want hard selling closers, plain and simple. I was told the only reason I was called in for an interview was because I have a background in sales. According to the interviewer, a regional director, "they can train people to explain the weight loss program but training people not to be afraid to ask people for their money is hard". She asked how much revenue my former employer, another weight loss center, generated every month. When I gave her a rough estimate -- between 10k and 15k -- She erupted in laughter and claimed that any one of her centers generates that much revenue every single day! I assumed she was lying, or at least strongly exaggerating, but after reading these comments I think she was telling the truth. As someone in the industry, all I can say is beware. Snake oil salesman have been with us for almost as long as this country has been in existence, only now it appears they are setting up shop in strip centers and hiring radio DJs to do their bidding.

The people who did not lose weight on the program did not follow it! The results are fabulous. I lost 30 lbs & highly recommended it to others in my office who also lost their weight. If you have a bad attitude, complain about the program & don't follow it rigidly, then you can't fault the program but only the rut you force yourself into
It is costly but it does work!.

I went to the quick weight loss center after reading an add which read $30.00, 30 lbs. 30 days. The end result was $1150 marked down to $650. What? I understand the *plus supplements which I figured to be about $100 plus. (gotta make a profit somewhere) There is no such thing as $30.00.
This is a lure. I am surprised the State of Florida has not come down on them. This is false advertising. The original person I met was so upset I would not sign on to this, she left the room and sent in her supervisor. Working on commission?
The BBB needs to get involved.

I've been in the program for 4 month and lost a total of 35 pounds so far. Yes, you can get bored of the food, but you also can get creative. We going out I found myself balancing the food. I always have with me a little bottle with home-made dressing (Apple Cider vinegar!) and I ask for salad without dressing. Chicken and veggies. It's all about learning portions, combining foods and stick to a diet! I love my location, all the counselors at Plantation, FL are people interested in you. They ALL know my name and over the time they learned how to "read" my face and know as I enter when if I had a hard day at work, they cheer me up and laugh with me. I love the supplements and treat them as a reward. Since I got to my first goal, I ask to add a new one, and signed up for a gym and started becoming a new me. I recommend QWLC, but let's be honest, if you are waiting for a miracle without putting any effort, don't go anywhere! You will never loose weight.

I just joined QWLC 5 days ago. I am a former Weight Watchers customer and I hated the wekly meetings and just did not have the motivation/determination to do it online.

Yes, there was a pretty high pressure pitch at when I first went in to QWLC but what does anyone expect? I would also presume that some locations are better than others. I never read any of the disastisfied customers looking for new locations?

My first week? The restrictive, Atkins-style diet is difficult but I can stick to it because I am going in three days a week and have to discuss my diet log with my conselor. The best part is that they wanted to see me every day! Which is, by the way included in my up-front cost. I told them three days a week and that, they said, would be fine. I am currently on track to lose 15 lbs in the first week, but let's be realistic - that is mostly water weight from restricting salt and carbs.

I think QWLC depends on two factors: the attitude of the staff in the office you are visiting AND the attitude of the customer. Congratulations to everyone who has lost weight and good luck to all of us who are still trying to shed the pounds!

I joined QWL about 5 weeks ago and have actually been following the plan for a month. They ARE high pressure and it is costly, but I signed up, in part knowing the high cost would motivate me to focus on losing weight. I don;'t go every day, which they push like mad, or even 3 times a week. It's stupid to me to be weighed every day because your weight will fluctuate too much even if you've followed the plan religiously. They do come on strong about coming every day but I just cannot- I work full time and take care of a sick, elderly parent at night. Although they do come on strong re many issues, it's the clients obligation to say NO to things they cannot commit to. I don't feel deceived in any way, and just say NO to the tactics that I will not follow.

My wife and I joined the program in January 2013 again based on the radio advertisements and the counselor sales pitch. We were told that it would be a 20 week program. And that we were guaranteed to lose the weight. The guarantee is a big selling point. What she did not tell us is that it was 14 week weight loss and 6 week stabilization process. The guarantee is based on you meeting many criteria that are not discussed (the fine print of the contract). It cost us a total of $6, 000 for the both of us for the supplements. but, we were committed and did it anyway in spite of the excess cost. We were told that men loss weight faster than women, but our programs were for the exact same time frame with losing the about the same weight for each of us. i wanted to lose 45lbs and my wife 40 lbs. No consideration for the male/ female variance they acknowledged. I did lose the weight and followed the program except when traveling and out of town on business or pleasure. My wife was more fastidious were staying with the food limitations. She was careful even when we were out of town in another city traveling. The weight loss staff was advised prior to each travel event. We did everything that was called for. Now, the issue of the guarantee. i did not care for myself as i had hit the weight loss before the "14" week limit. My wife, as expected, had not. The Quick Weight Loss staff was immediately hawking for MORE MONEY. What happened to the "guarantee"? The staff stated they she had "deviated' from the program when out of town so the guarantee was voided.

To boil it down, the whole issue of writing everything you eat down in a journal is about having a legal path to void the guarantee. It is NOT for teaching you about eating patterns. Coming in to be weighed 3 times every week is about having a legal out to void the guarantee since they know people will not always be able to meet this requirement with life's distractions and obstacles. after all, i was told by one of their employees is it is about calorie counting in stabilization. Calorie counting!

My advise to you is to avoid Quick Weight Loss Centers. There is a level of deceit and intentional failure to advise you or everything. Not to mention it is ridiculously expensive. You CAN do it on your own if you understand the metabolism. We went to the Sugar Land, TX location in January 2013. STAY AWAY. BE CAREFUL. READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING. A CONGENIAL DECEIT UNTIL THERE IS AN ISSUE TO RESOLVE. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY.

I'm on the plan . I'm not an employee. It's been 8 weeks And I lost 22lbs. It works. I TD the lady who did the appointment that I just wanted to get to the point. She let me read everything. Yes it cost money. But calculate know much you spend on fast food and medication for your illness. It is worth spending the same money to get healthy. J have Lymphedema in my lower legs. By just losing this much weight has allowed me to not have to use my leg pumps. My legs are skinnier. So how bad do you wanna lose weight?I dodon't want to be in a wheelchair. So its priceless to me.

I am not an employee and I love the program. I have lost 50 lbs in less than 4 months. I was told up front the cost of the supplements and I had a choice whether to buy their supplements or not. I was not coerced or bullied. I call in with questions, when I am traveling and sometimes when I am eating out. They are available to me as needed. Of course it is expensive, but less expensive then surgery and less costly than having to see the doctor about all the illnesses and issues brought on by obesity. I understand it is not for everyone. I know weight watchers and other programs work for some people but not for me. I tried all the different programs and never had success like this. Now the food choices are habit and I do not find them "boring" or difficult. I do encourage anyone who goes to a center to ask questions. Lots and Lots of questions. Good Luck to All!

I join QWL in 2/ 13 and it is a rip off. In every plan QWL includes there quick snacks which you must take 2 quick snacks a day. With your start up they supply you with 2 boxes of quick snacks totaling 6 in each box. which is only good for 1 week .when you are eating 2 a day. which means customers has to purchase more quick snakes. 1 box of quick snacks which is $17 a box. anybody considering QWL call me I will explain to you in detail before you get rip off. I've only been on the QWL program for 3 weeks & have lost 9 lbs. I already had a downfall this w/e where I gained back 1/2 lb. sticking strictly to the program. Considering I have 66 lbs. to lose, this seems awfully early to already have a gain back. I am already very frustrated with the program. They are really secretive about how expensive and difficult this program really is. I paid $699 to join (non-refundable, even if your dr. tells you after you've gotten the diet info it's no good for you for some reason). I did their 3 day "prep" where you get to eat steaks, butter, all kinds of good stuff to get your body "ready" for the diet. Lost 3 1/2 lbs. in those 3 days so was excited about that because what I was eating was great and I lost weight. By the way, the 1st 2 visits took about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. each. I wasn't prepared for that!.

Then the bomb falls when you come in to actually start your program. All that great food you ate during the prep - gone! You have to sit through a video telling you all about the program and how important it is to eat everything they tell you and take umpteen pills 3 x's a day + drink 80 oz.! of water daily. On top of that, you now have all of these supplements you have to buy (another $399), which they didn't say anything about when I paid the original $699. This includes some extra pills and things like protein bars, pancakes, chips, soups, etc. that you are supposed to use 2-3x/day. This supply is for 10 items (7 day supplies of each) + a card that you can use for another 10. You are restricted to getting 10 items at a time, can't do less. When that is over, the items are $17 a box - another $170 for each batch. After losing only 2 more lbs. after the 1st week, I told them I was disappointed. The name "Quick" weight loss made me believe I'd lose more than that, especially since I have 66 lbs. to lose. They have this board posted when you come in showing their weekly great achievers - people losing 4 lbs. up to 18 lbs. in one week so I was really looking forward to making that board, especially at the beginning when you figure you'll lose the most, the fastest. They are thrilled I've lost 9 lbs. in 3 weeks - obviously I'm not. They tell you you can lose 3-7/wk so they say I am right on target. When I ask them about the board, they say "those are people who have a lot of weight to lose". Isn't 66 lbs. a lot? Since I'm not happy with the 3 lbs/wk. they now told me I really should drink 2 Quick Boost drinks per day as that helps boost the metabolism as well as other stuff. Another $75 (on sale!) for 3 boxes of that stuff, which will only last 3 weeks.

Now for the diet itself. So many rules! I hate to cook but find I have to cook every day, sometimes just to prepare my protein for lunch the next day. You can't mix proteins or fruits in one sitting so if you have leftover of something, you can't mix it for another meal. You either have to prepare more to equal it, or throw it out. You must eat your 3 fruits by 6 pm and all your supplements by 9 pm. Can only have canned tuna 1x/wk and beef 2x/wk (after the 1st wk) but must keep a day between the beef & tuna. Can have baked potato or brown rice 3x/wk combined & not on same day with each other. This diet seems to be all consuming with my time. Between preparing meals for different times, planning for the next day so you make sure you get enough of each protein, vegetable, fruits, starches, fat & supplements, and not mix things you shouldn't, then on top of that, having to keep a food diary, I feel like I'm always working on the diet. Plus, they want you to come in 3-5 times per week so they can weigh you, take your blood pressure and go over your food diary with you. I'm already in for over $1200 just with them, never mind the additional cost for all the food I've had to buy (probably around $250) and the gas to drive back & forth to their facility all the time. It was much cheaper for me to go out to eat every day than it is to be on this diet.

I'm giving this diet one month. If I don't start seeing some real weight loss, I'm going back on NutriSystem. With what it's cost me so far in all their fees & supplements I could have bought 4 months of food with NS and lost the weight quicker. Yes, I did NutriSystem in the past, lost the weight and gained it back again over time, but as with any diet, once you go off, you gain weight when you go back to your bad habits. At least with the NutriSystem I didn't have to put so much time and effort into losing. That was easy, I ate the 3 meals plus desserts they provided, along with some fruits & vegetables, and was much happier - no measuring, no cooking, and I actually liked the food. Yeah, yeah, yeah...QWL tells you they are going to "teach" you to eat right to maintain the loss, but who really eats the way they want you to? So far, it just doesn't seem practical or worth the effort. Oh yeah, I'm already growing feathers from all the chicken & turkey I end up eating. I'm not much for fish, or liver so my protein choices are rather slim.

If you still want to check them out, make sure you get all the REAL costs and explanation of the diet up front. That is, if they'll give it to you without first paying to join. And give yourself a lot of time for those 1st two meetings. It's a good thing my boss was out of town as I had no idea my lunch hour would have to be extended so much for this.

Good luck!

This plan isn't rocket science. It's a high protein high vegetable low carb diet. What you pay for up front is the accountability. I've seen nutritionists. Most charge 45 a visit for 30 minutes. So 10 a visit is a bargain. If you don't want to pay for the supplements you can buy them online. I found 3 different sites that sell them. The trick is you HAVE to stick with it. Personally, I've gotten really creative with my dishes.

Im really sorry some of you had a bad experience. I guess it depends on which center you go to. :(

I am thrilled to wake up each day knowing that I am continually losing weight. The QuickWC plan does work. Are there weeks that I lose more, sure. Overall, it continues to go down. You prepare regular foods. You must eat! I thought less would mean less of me. It was not the answer. I continued to gain. This is the first plan EVER that worked. I hate to hear that some folks didn't have a good experience. I love the folks at my location! They cheer me on and I am motivated by them. I don't need a ticker-tape parade. I need positive reinforcement. The supplements are optional. They cost about as much as you would pay for a protein bar in the store but less fat, sodium, sugar, and carbs. I feel like I'm cheating just having one. Super good. Point is, the supplements are protein and the added supplements increase the weightloss and keep your body from sagging after losing weight. I'm thrilled. Down 30lbs in 10 weeks and it continues. If you want success without killing yourself in the gym, it's well worth it. If you want it off, put a little $ forward at a time. If I paid just a gym membership, in a month, I might lose 10 lbs. But, I still wouldn't know how to eat right to keep from gaining. The QWC teaches you that. I feel very fortunate that I gave it a chance.

I joined recently a QWLC in Lake Worth, Florida. They are only out to sell. I tried getting a refund within 3 business days due to me losing my job and they would not honor a refund. I had nothing but negatives every time I walked in there. They are not happy with you unless you are spending a fortune. I felt like a 2 year old every time I walked out of there. They do not show positive feedback. I have made a facebook page so that I can tell people what to expect before they walk in the door and make mistake I did. http://www.facebook.com/#!/QWLCenterRipOff

I joined qwlc 5 years ago. I had tried weightwatchers which I was on for years losing only 20 lbs overall total cost: over $1500 just for a once a week meeting which I hated and a lot of mental anguish. Nutrisystem for about 4 months, losing a grand total of 12 lbs, cost over $1200. Finally, my frustration brought me to qwlc. The counselor was patient, kind, and extremely informative. I had 90 pounds to lose and was promised it would come off within 30 weeks. They were completely upfront about costs and put everything in writing including overall cost with all product to complete the program. I lost my 90 Pounds in 26 weeks! The counselors were encouraging And made me feel amazing about myself! The best part? Still maintaining after 4 yrs on maintenance! Failed diet plans: overall around $7000 cumulatively. QWLC: priceless!

I joined QWL about a few weeks ago, and I am really having trouble losing more than 2 to 3 lbs a week. I sticked to the plan, but still no results like all the others on the board. They told me not to lift more than 10 lbs when I'm working out with weights, please I need to feel the burn! I am always hungry, and I am always constipated for some reason. I bought some cleansing tea, but that took forever to work. I sit and watch my others enjoy food, and I feel like a prisoner with my chicken, and veggies. I am avoiding situations where I might have to resist temptation, such as going to parties, and going to dinner with family and friends. Then one day I just couldn't take it anymore, and I cheated! I had some pizza, and a glass of wine. I figured if I walked out the door, and got hit by a bus, at least my last meal would be a good one! I don't think this diet is for me, because of my metabolism issues. I will try to do it on my own by cutting back on the bad things, and increasing my activity. I wasted too much money already, and I'm not employed right now. Good luck to the others. I only need to lose 30 lbs, and I will go at this challenge alone. I love popcorn, and this diet is popcorn free!
