Today, I was attempted to be scammed by Quality Resources/Value Plus organization. The phone number is [protected] as well as [protected] from N. Charleston, North Carolina. Beware of PO boxes. Some telemarketer from membership services will answer the phone who knows nothing.

I think I made a purchase recently on-line, unfortunately the company gave out my address, card number and my phone number. They will not give you the name of the company from which they got the information. The company says they will give you $40.00 gas card and save money on all of these great products. All you have to do is authorize to release your credit card for a $1.00 charge. It's a scam. Hang up and report them to BBB or the Federal Trade Commission. I am going to check my credit card and will probably will get a charge on it from ValuePlus.

Cheryl also was married to a felon (Kosta Mercuris). By the looks of it on pinellascounty.org the Mercuris family seems to have some real winners in it.

Yes, there are people fired regularly. I assume Cheryl gets her 2, 400 tax credit for each felon they hire, find a reason to fire them and on to the next felon to get the next tax credit. That sleaze makes everyone pay $50 for their own headset which they MAY get to use 2 weeks before they are fired. Either way, its a sleazy, shady operation, against customers and employees. They pick and choose and then fire you because your numbers are low.

Quality Resources is located at 19321 US Hwy 19 N. Clearwater, FL 33764. Corporate phone number is [protected]. Owner/CEO is Cheryl Weiss Mercuris. This company hires several ex-cons who are felons to sell their savings programs. Most of the felons charges are drug related, but their is one who was convicted of welfare fraud, one for felony child abuse, a few with felonious assault and even one convicted of DUI MANSLAUGHTER! I was advised by someone the Budget Savers actually gets billed prior to the $1 14 day trial ends. I have heard the owner pays $3 per lead. The verifiers don't have the full credit card number. Most of the time they either have the last 4 digits and the card type. Anyway, if you have been called by them, and have the verifiers full name, go to pinellascounty.org click on public records, pick criminal/traffic and type in the verifiers name and search...voila.A lot of them have terribly long rap sheets. Most of them still go out to a car on their breaks and get high. It is pretty ghetto. I am going to be contacting attornies general to inform them of the Budget Savers billing earlier than disclosed on recorded lines.

Golfmom...

I'm not sure what kind of company you own but if you deal with a high volume of sales staff and employees you would know that not all will always 100% FOLLOW THE RULES!

When their are employees that are insubordinate you fire them when THEY do not follow the letter of the law...Correct?

Our company does not fire people EVERYDAY; however when you have so many employees it may seem that way.

Our owner is a stickler for making sure that our script is read VERBATIUM !

I would NEVER work for a company that I felt were scamming anyone...I read my script VERBATIUM and I personally make sure MY CUSTOMERS understand what I am saying before they give me their private credit card information.. We are Federally regulated and have been in business for over 20 years...if we were SCAMMING people do you not think SOMEONE would have investigated and found us out!

Come people!

golfmom952:

I recieved a call from your company last night. They read me the last 4 digits of my credit card and then asked me for the entire number for "verification purposes". She said she had the whole number, but that I needed to give it to her again to make sure I was who I said I was. This goes directly against your statement that: "We DO NOT have the entire number or account information. REMEMBER, we are ONLY a marketing company."

If your company does what you say: "We do follow the law to the letter." Then why are people getting fired daily? I run my own business, and I would consider a major overhaul on my business plan if I was having to fire staff members every single day.

I work for Quality Resources and I disagree with the above complaintant. We are licensed by the State of Florida and everything we say is digitally recorded for Quality reasons and listened to daily. Folks are fired daily for overstepping their bounds, being rude to customers and not sticking to the script which is compliant with the laws of the State of Florida. Most people do NOT listen to the sales rep and by the time they get to verification they have no idea what the call is about (we hear kids screaming in the background, water running, people are partying in bars, and other things I cannot repeat here). The program is SIMPLE. We sell Budget Savers, a program designed to help folks save money with discounts up to 80% on national stores, restaurants, rental cars, hotels/motels, etc. The $1 basically is to compensate folks for their time spent reading over the program when it arrives at their home. We only have the last 4 digits of a credit card for IDENTIFICATION purposes ONLY. We DO NOT have the entire number or account information. REMEMBER, we are ONLY a marketing company. Honestly, would you want the world to know you buy your hemorrhoid cream or viagra on the internet? That is why we are not given the information to protect your privacy. We are one of a select few companies that actually allow you to cancel a program the day it arrives at your home. Most make you wait the full 30 days hoping you will forget so they can charge you up the rump. We also get fired for being too pushy. Some states we are not allow to call (No call states) and some are no rebuttal states (6 of them). We do follow the law to the letter. It is not worth getting fired for being stupid or rude! Please listen to the sales rep. Thanks

Hello (name) My name is John Smith and I am calling from Quality Resources because you recently purchased something from one of our marketing partners and this call may be recorded for quality and security purposes and I will be brief. The reason we are calling today is just to let you know as a preferred customer you’re receiving $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers in the mail. These are free and good for one year and you can buy your gas anywhere in the U.S. Now these should arrive in about 2 weeks so please keep an eye out for them, in the same envelope we’re sending the first 30 days of Budget Savers for only $1 dollar. It’s a brand new saving program that will save you money at a couple hundred stores like Home Depot, Target and Best Buy also restaurants like Chili’s, Red Lobster and McDonald’s. This is something we only send to preferred customers so there is no obligation to keep it and nothing to send back. Even if your not interested, make sure you don’t throw away the gas vouchers, the $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers is our way of saying thank you for being a preferred customer.

Remember the 30 day trial is only $1 dollar. It gives you full use of all the discounts. If you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days your benefits would extend automatically for just $24.95 a month again that’s only if you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days. It would be charged to your (Visa/Master Card/ American Express) ending in (last four digits). You can call and cancel anytime, on the toll free number that’s located on the front page. Either way you keep your $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers as a thank you. You still live in (city/state) correct?

Great, before I transfer you to our verification department to read your address back to you and to verify I did my job correctly, do you have any questions? When I transfer you, you’re going to hear a click. It may sound like I am hanging up. I’M NOT! It’s very important that you hold so you don’t get the same call again, ok? Enjoy your $50 dollars in gas vouchers, please hold.

TCPA=Always Attempt / TOL=we will add you to our internal do not call list.
That’s fine Mr. / Mrs. (last name); if you have any questions call [protected]. We are not calling from Visa/Master Card or American Express; we are a company calling you with a discounted offer. Have a nice day.

This is the script they read to you, they changed their name from Value Plus to Budget Savers but its the same stuff.
