The product delivered was not the same as advertised or photographed on the web site. QAV Direct customer service is non existant, you can't speak to anyone and the only communication is by email (and lots of them). It took 2 weeks for the item to be collected and they reluctantly refunded less the cost of return postage even though the product was mis-described and mis-sold. Order from QAV Direct, NEVER AGAIN. Avoid this company.

I bought the Elite Ultra Heavy Duty Spinning Bike in November at a cost of £399.95. It came and the handlebars do not tighten in the close up position because of the tightening mechanism and the seat goes down when riding it, even if you tighten it with a spanner bt then the next person cannot ride it if they need the seat putting down as it is too tight. We told them we didn't want it as it wasn't fit for purpose and wanted to return it. They insisted on sending some spare parts, which was irrelevant as the parts were all there. We asked them to collect it, as it states in their advertisement that they would if the item is found to be faulty, which it was, and at no cost to the consumer. They sent some massive bolts for some reason, which has nothing to do with the bike. We asked them to take it back and they kept on saying they would get parts from China. We said no and they still sent a bag of random parts. We were so frustrated as many many emails had gone back and fourth at this stage and they would not take the bike back. They told us we would have to send it back at our own cost, which is almost £200 as the bike weighs 62kg and is in a large box. Most courier companies won't take this weight. I wrote them a letter quoting the sale of Goods Act and they did not even reply to this. They asked me to take photos, which I did and it goes on! They will do anything to not have the bike back. It is now the middle of January and I am still trying to get them to take it back. It looks like I will have to drop it of at their distribution depot in Norwich which is a 2 hour drive away. PLEASE PLEASE, PLEASE do not do business with this company. They will not speak to you on the phone and will not give a name of who you are dealing with. I can honestly say in all my 44 years of living I have never come across a company like them. You will not believe the emails I have had, they do not answer any questions that you ask and it feels as if they are trying to wind you u, p by their replies. The emails are now 3 pages long and they are saying they want to send an engineer to my home. I have a heart condition and would not have them in my home without a large group of people as chaperones, as these people are mad to say the least. They are most definitely scam merchants. I am going out of my mind. I have reported them to trading standards and am now thinking of taking them to the small claims court. The stress has been unbearable. BUY AT YOU OWN PERIL, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Purchased Patio heater online with QAV direct foe £84.95. This was a Thursday evening so knew wouldnt receive order until the Monday. Parents turned up Sunday morning with gift of same item so emailed QAV straight away to cancel my order as didn't need two.

As my order had already been despatched I expressed my wish to cancel and advised I would refuse the delivery on the Monday so the couriers could return it straight away. They replied with they will charge me £40 for refusing.

After 17 emails back and forth where I have advised I am happy to pay the true carrier cost and no more, they have reduced this to £20 but still won't provide proof of the true carrier costs, they wont give a managers name to speak to.

There website states that if the delivery fails they are entitled to recoup the delivery and restocking costs but as I compiled with all the distance selling regulations they can not do this, Consumer advice also confirm this and QAV Direct have been reported to Trading standards for failing to comply with numerous regulations.
