Tried booking under PYO Travel's dodgy website and after giving all details about the booking, the website came up with a page load error on their website. Tried submitting the form a few more times with the same result. There was no confirmation of the booking.
The next credit card bill showed a charge for the booking in FULL.
Tried calling the company to sort the issue out but they were unhelpful and would not address it even though they knew there was a fault on their website. The booking cost thousands of dollars for nothing.
Word of Advice: DO NOT TRUST PYO Travel
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I just want to change the information of the booked flight...but PYO travel is unreachable! What should I do now?!
So am I, I can't contact them as well. Can you reach them at last?
they close shop oledi
I want to share my recent experience with PYO Travel. First of call, hotline was just a cosmetic, nobody pick up the call. And same goes to their email, another cosmetic. Nobody even reply, you would start speculate this is a scam agency. Their tour package is slightly cheaper at the first glance. Then they charge miscellaneous fee. I meant there are so many travel agencies out there. Go and compare and survey. If not because I need to travel with short notice period, I will NEVER go for PYO.
Well kudos to PYO.
Over emails they fixed the issue and got my fare of RM2, 7xx within a day of my earlier posting. Apparently the issue was with the airline's booking system.
Faith restored.
Wow! The OP's post, evidently pre-Sept 2009, persists in January 2018. The OP said: "Tried booking under PYO Travel's dodgy website and after giving all details about the booking, the website came up with a page load error on their website. Tried submitting the form a few more times with the same result. There was no confirmation of the booking."
I'm encountering the same whereby the online flight booking would not go through, even after multiple attempts. One error message, in verbatim, was "The seats are not confirm seat", whatever that means. A second variant of error message was "An error has occured".
PYO's email response was a fare of RM3, 7xx if they booked for me offline. This, compared to the online fare of RM2, 7xx blew me away as a 'Bait & Switch' MO.
Unless PYO bucks up I'm staying away from them, thank you.
Hi,
When making booking, PYO is very helpful and nice. That is all..to it.. because my family were so traumatic by the conditions of hotel given to us for tour "free and easy" offered by PYO. Imagine placing a family in the hotel looks like prostitute den and ghost house as shown in the movie. Apparently, when I checked their website, this hotel was not listed under their listing...
We were lucky to have brought enough cash money (credit card not accepted) as required by their local agent(no official receipt given) and only cash needed out front to change hotel otherwise, we were be sleeping on the street. When we came back to claim for the refund for the hotel we did not stay. First we were told they are not aware of the problem and they have to investigate. A week later, we were told no refund and just "sorry for the inconvenient". A brush off.. attitude on their part.
Money is not so big issue. What really angered me was that they were unreachable when problem arises-their local agent can and have already contacted them regarding the problem. At least have courtesy to contact us directly instead leaves us at the mercy of the local agent(a knife on our throat) in the foreign country. When contacted, properly apologize for the trouble they placed us in.
Four of us plus many of our friends will never use PYO again.
I made a booking through PYO Travel for 1 night's accommodation at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport for Feb 2012. Singapore Airlines has subsequently cancelled my flight and so I cancelled the PYO booking (with a view to making another booking). I understood from PYO's cancellation policy that I would receive an email from them acknowledging my cancellation, that a penalty of AUD 50 would be charged and that I would receive a refund for the balance of my payment. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING WHATSOEVER FROM PYO TRAVEL, despite sending them an email asking what was going on! I am very concerned and plan to follow up with a phone call to their Sydney office.
Fortunately, we made the booking through their Sydney office and they are therefore required to abide by Australian consumer legislation. We will pursue them through all the processes available to us. I will keep this website up to date. In the meantime, be very careful about using PYO Travel.
The personnel promised to pay me a compensation, which I have been waiting for 3 months. I will not get any package from them. NO MORE!

Absolutely! The exact same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Spoke to the 'manager' of PYOtravel Jon Chan over the phone today, he was extremely rude and condescendng. He did not even utter a word of apology!
When I asked for the name of his direct superior, with a bucket load of arrogance, he gave me the name of the owner of Reliance Pacific Sdn - Gan Eng Kwong.
I have had enough of Malaysian companies trying to cheat consumers and getting away with being rude, as if they did us a favour by stealing our money! So, I will take this matter to the consumers association, the newspaper and the televised media, and not least, I shall contact Gan Eng Kwong himself as the manager had suggested.
