Puppyspot is great if you are looking for a frustrating experience exasperated by people who really don't want to sell dogs and the worse customer service imaginable. Here's my tail...
After losing our dog of 14 years, I found a dog on Puppyspot. We closed the deal on a Saturday and I was told the dog would likely be sent on Thursday. They asked about my preferred airport and if Thursday would work and assured me I would get 48 - 24 hours notice before she arrived. All sounded great. Well Wednesday night around 9pm I got a call that she would be in at 11am the next morning at Laguadia airport (worse airport in America and the one asked them not to use). None of this really bothered me much since I was so excited to get this dog. So I dropped everything for the next day and trekked out to Laguadia with my tracking # and paperwork. While I was in the process if driving airport employees crazy looking for this dog, I get a call from the breeder that the dog never got on the plane. Why didn't Puppyspot call me 4 hours earlier when the dog didn't get on the plane? Well there were some excuses, no apologies and mostly talk of their hardship in all of this mess and I was left with a long drive home where I had to explain to my six year old why there was no dog and why I missed his camp show earlier that day. If Macy's can send me tracking info on a $20 shirt, why couldn't puppyspot give me an update before I got the airport?
Do yourself a favor and don't buy a dog from them. If you are 100% sold on one of their dogs, please please put the dog on a credit card or paypal so there's some protection to you purchase and don't trust that you will actually get the dog until it arrives safely to you.

Puppy spot claims to have only the best breeding standards yet when we received the registration papers for our Chihuahua that we bought from them you could see there clearly was inbreeding in the puppies lineage. I was in the process of buying a dachshund puppy from them until I saw that the sire of the puppy was only 9 months old and the birthdate for the dam was listed as invalid. Sorry, that's got puppy mill written all over it. They're guarantee is crap. They make you jump through hoops to make a claim only to deny payment anyway. They're very attentive when selling you a puppy but try to contact them afterwards in regard to a concern. You're on hold literally forever only to be told the person you need to speak to is unavailable and will call you back...7-24 hours later, maybe. These guys are over priced scammers who's main concern is NOT for your puppy but to make money. I have other facts and figures to demonstrate puppy spots lack of culpability but that would make this review way too long. bottom line, buyer beware.

They promise a no puppymill puppy. Bull, my daughter worked for a someone who sells to puppyspot. The conditions were horrible for these dogs. She said they had puppyspot inspectors come for visits. Puppyspot wants this breeder to have even more litters for them to sell. Definitely a company that buys from puppymills.

I wished I would’ve read the complaints; I would have bought from a breeder and not a broker. Don’t make the same thing I did — it cost me an arm and leg!
