I have worked for Publix for over 6 years now they really suck… They put on a front to the public and they treat their employees unfairly across the board… I took the management test (Got a high pass) along with many great employees in the store the only person out of the group that was recommended was the 20-year-old girl that had worked for Publix for about a year and a half and was usually found by the time clock on the cell phone with one of her boyfriends…
They are never really truly happy with your work or you and I hear this from many people. A lot of gossip and a lot of backstabbing… They should be ashamed as a company and I can honestly say they have the most waste and food thrown away I have ever seen in a grocery store… Shame on you Publix!

"PuBLix iS a gReAt PlAce tO wORk!" Not unless you are 100% company minded and don't mind working 10-12 hr shifts for 9 days straight when a person is only Part time! If you are older and have health issues they really don't care because they need to follow the "business needs"! Publix should be ashamed of themselves for making older employees go outside and get carts! That should be the job for the younger guys! Cashiers shouldn't have to do that at all! I really feel that Publix should have more respect and consideration for their older employees! Publix is NOT a great place to work at all...my only enjoyment is seeing my customers and getting to talk with them.

I have been working for publix for some time know and I have to say that I have never felt so underappreciated and over worked and taken advantage of . All I do is kitchen, . When I started working everyone was so unhappy in the deli, I was warned by the other employees that working in the kitchen was the worst job to have in the deli and they were right. I expressed my interest in getting full time and worked hard at everything I did to setting up and closing kitchen. After working for some time I found out that they were giving the full time position to someone else coming from another publix who had only been with publix a short period of time, when I say short I mean short. I again spoke with my manager and expressed my desire in getting full time and my manager simply said that the position was given to this person. I felt discourage and I realized that all my hard work was for nothing in the end it's not what you know is who you know. I notice in publix that everything is about kissing ### and being in front of your managers face 24 7. Everything is politics and if they like you then they will push for you if not it doesn't matter how hard of a worker you are, what ever happened to being promoted for your hard work, it seems that this is something that we have lost. Working in the publix deli especially kitchen is one of the most exhausting jobs there is that's why everybody avoids the kitchen even the full timers. I tried again and expressed to my manager that I wanted full time, my manager treated me like I was incapable of becoming a full timer but the funny thing is I do the hardest job in the deli. My manager promised to train me in other areas and it never happened. Everyone keeps telling me that I have to train myself which is bull, because anybody that works in the kitchen knows there is no time to teach yourself especially on game days and holidays and weekend which your literally on your feet going back and forth non stop with no help. But the new full timer gets trained in everything, When I leave my work I'm so exhausted that I have no energy to do anything else when I get home. The full timers don't help, all they do is inventories salads and platters which compared to kitchen work it's nothing. who can't do a salad especially when you have a book telling you step by step taking care of customers and pulling out expired item in front of deli and replenishing tea, chit chatting in the hallway or talking in the other departments or lookibg at there phones I never have time for this. keep in mind that they get paid well. When I close kitchen I get no help from the full timer in charge, all they do is tell you what to do and walk away, I have closed kitchen too many times by myself and I can't express how exhausted I am to the point that I go home and start applying for other jobs. I have a college education and I know that I deserve a job that will appreciate my potential, they are taking advantage of me and I feel disrespecred. If I stay I will never get full time, they just want a kitchen person. I'm definitely working in getting a job in what I went to school, God willing that will happen soon. They will schedule 4 or more people in the deli side on weekend and only one person in the kitchen and by the way you have to help in the deli side as well, but when you fall behind no one helps you. Publix is not what it's cracked up to be, they show a complete disregard to their employees in the deli especially in kitchen, there is no consideration as to how exhausted you are and sometimes your scheduled to come in at 6am or 8 am in the morning after closing kitchen by yourself. I get the impression from the managers and some employees that this is all I'm good for, little do they know that I have a college degree and I plan on leaving publix. The managers and full timers can do the kitchen God knows they get paid more than me.

I've worked for Publix for a while now and it's been a fantastic experience. I've read almost every single comment here (and the article itself.) I've noticed that many complaints are written with poor grammar, little to no punctuation, and poor spelling. That already speaks volumes about the individual complaining about being mistreated. Now obviously SOME stores are simply poorly managed. It does not mean the company as a whole is bad. It wouldn't constantly be voted one of the best companies in the United States to work for if it were truly a bad company. But if you're not the brightest individual or simply uneducated (read: high school education), you probably aren't the best at your job. If you're not being promoted, again, probably not good at your job, or your attitude sucks and it's apparent at work. I work my butt off and it shows, even taking on extra positions when they were in need, and they gave me the highest introductory raise when I hit my first six months. I've continued to bust my butt and am now about to become assistant meat manager (started as cashier/bagger) due to hard work, picking up extra shifts, having very open availability and repeatedly letting them know I want to move up. Now there are people that I work with that complain and moan to everyone JUST as these commenters and the original writer are here... They're also not the brightest. And they barely get raises due to those facts. Many are older and feel that their age entitles them to more pay and hours. Sorry, but it doesn't. I'm young and I'm sure some older disgruntled workers think things like that about me, but they have no idea I'm also paying my way through college, all my bills (obviously) and am attending full-time while busting my butt at Publix AND another job. I know less intelligent people never seem to realize that they aren't intelligent, but seriously... It's not them, it's you. But if you feel you're being mistreated, ask for a transfer or quit and find a new job. I mean if you're so deserving of a raise, so intelligent and hard working, you should be able to find a better job, right? Wouldn't that make sense? But working there for years complaining the entire time while feeling mistreated?... That, right there, proves you're not the brightest.

Suck it up, work harder and earn it, or fix the problem. There's always a solution. And if you're truly a decent person and hard worker and not one of these self-entitled people who are lazy while thinking they work hard, you'll earn your worth, whether at Publix or another company. Never settle for less than you're worth. Someone will ALWAYS pay you more - it's up to you to find those jobs, they won't be handed to you.

I work for publix also and let me tell you about the drama that goes on in there;well first of all they do think that they are all better then everyone else just because they are managers. And well they started me out in front end. Then they moved me to grocery stock well i really enjoyed that until they changed my scedule without telling me and i was put back in front end again because of there mistack, just because i was the only person who could fix the crappy floor cleaners, i have been with them for 3 years and i only make 8.80 hr.now this week they give me 8 days of work striaght, with no day off. They are always changing the scedule without telling me about it then they want to suspend me for it .Publix is a very bad place to work for, we should all boy cott publix.

Working At #0472 is hell. The store mgr. is lazy and racist. he will promote whites faster than any other race inside the store. He promoted a stock clerk that is clearly a functional alcoholic to full time in 6 months. This guy comes to work smelling like alcohol, doesn't follow the rules, but yet he gets promoted. When its time for someone of another race to get promoted the manager says, "I need to see more from you." The only time anyone follows publix policy and procedure is when the DM or someone else is coming to visit. They want you to kill yourself so they can get a bigger bonus at the end of the year. This is a horrible company and all the managers are only looking out for themselves.

All Publix is concerned over is money, and profits. You are a name and number and a machine. If they know you are a good employee, they run you into the ground and then humiliate you after.

I worked for Publix for two years, they recruited me from Kroger, I am a 30 year butcher and manager. The insults started at the interview. And they continued until I had had enough. The managers are taught by the district manager to make employees feel like they aren't worthy to work at Publix. It is alot of psychological warfare. The managers are passive agressive towards employees. You get written up for anything and everything. I found write ups in the managers office one day, where he had write ups for every employee with issues he had made up out of thin air. He had several on me and everyone else, one supposedly happened on a day I was on vacation. So If you like being treated like you are noone, then please work at publix. They could care less about having good employees, and their company suffers from that. You can't just replace people and find the same quality of people you just let go or they quit because they are tired of being treated poorly. I guess they will find out, too bad they are so ignorant and arrogant. Bad combination for a company to be.

Worked in The Meat Department in Florida and In Nashville, and from the INTERVIEW I was insulted and made to feel as if I was not important and that they were all important. Thought it might be just an individual store thing, so I transferred to Tampa, and worked in the meat department for the worst excuse of a human being I have ever known. A few of us found pre-written 'write ups', about 6 per employee in the department, so that if he wanted to get rid of any of us, he could just sign his name and submit it at any time. None of the write up's made any sense either, things none of us ever did. But I guess that is how crooked Publix is. He had to learn that from someone, so I guess it was mr bushee. Another poor excuse of a human being. When someone got promoted to Assist Mgr, bushee sat him down and explained how to keep his employees under his thumb. Passive Agressive techniques only someone like Ted Bundy would be able to comprehend..hey, wasn't he from Florida as well?...mabye he wrote the management manual for publix before 1989?...something to ponder

Jakes instead of doing the childish and immature thing by claiming you were discriminated because of the color of your skin or your sexual orientation why not admit you were not given the job or promotion because of your lack of skills. That would be the mature and adult thing to do. You discriminate make, comments about your lesbian coworker. Even if you did not they have every right to investigate instead of just taking your word because you told them it never happened. Funny how you cry discrimination yet you discriminate against your lesbian co worker. You are not the one being discriminated, you are the one doing the discriminating. If you are innocent after their investigation you will not be let go. But the fact that you have an issue with them doing an investigation instead of taking your word for it makes me wonder if you are telling the truth.

Beware of Publix being super tolerant of any actions of straight women, gays, lesbians, or minoritys. They are hyper afraid of backlash from this terrible media in our county these days and thus will be more concerned with them as to your straight male. I just today was accused of making a inappropriate joke to a lesbian coworker of mine and I was talked to like it was 100% certain I was guilty. I told the minority astmngr I didn't recall doing it and was immediately insulted "how can you not recall, are you hurt in the head?" He was instantly mad and said he would have to start an investigation when he could have "nipped it in the butt" right then. So now I'm in fear for losing my job. I've only been here for 2 weeks... 90 days isn't up so if he does fire me tomorrow I can't even pursue him legally. Even if I did I would be called a sexist and a racist because I accused the two people of being wrong. I feel like I'm being discriminated because of the color of my skin and my sexual orientation and I feel like if I state that, that they will either laugh at me or some how get offended. Anyways. Come 3pm tomorrow I goto work. After reading all this. I don't know if it'll be that large of a loss. The hours are good though, and I really liked this job and the customers. 1st week. I got shoved into Frozen without training. Told to work a 3 pallet frozen truck and then got yelled at for not doing it the next day. Don't apply for Publix. Go make Wal-mart a better place for shoppers. You will be noticed there.

It is obvious you did not get the promotion because of your attitude. If you have to beat down other employees and make them look bad by pointing out on their bad points in order to make yourself look good, you are not a team player therefore you are not qualified for management, no matter how high your test score is. Also calling a 20 year old girl, who legally became an adult when you behave like a two year old is way out of line. With your spelling and grammar I doubt you scored high on the test, nor do I believe you have the education to move up. Just a huge ego, which does not work when seeking a promotion.

For the most part, the department managers at Publix suck. Firstly, they have miserable jobs and work miserable hours, and are just plain miserable managers. They have no managerial skills, and no people skills. I worked for one of the most incompetent bakery managers. He was nothing more than a glorified baker, who liked to sit in the office, on his fat ###, playing or texting on his cell phone. He was so hooked on Ruzzle it was ridiculous. He would discuss cell phone usage with the crew members of the bakery and have us sign policies about it...but he was so guilty of using his, and he never directly addressed the true offenders...he would address the woman, who didn't even have a cell phone. Such a big fat chicken, so afraid of confrontation. For the most part, the department managers are just uneducated, lazy bullies, who had nowhere else to go in life.

I don't get it, , How many people, workers have been mistreated at publix? Why no one but Managers did a ( overtime )class action lawsuit? All the workers on this board, must be well over hundred, , .. Why? I quit cause of all the same reasons, .. Bullying, getting looked down on by managers.. Hard working full timers never late, I know cause that was me, and I know that's all you guys on this board. Why should workers have to be bullied? Why not class action lawsuit, we are all here on this site... Proof is on this site...

I have worked at Publix for the last six months. Am I the greatest employee, no I would say that I am average to good. But I have seen things that the company has done to myself and others included. I would not recommend anyone to apply or work for that company. They do not value hard work at all, all they really care is if you are an ### kisser. I was told that but not in those words during my evaluation. I have noticed they treat the ''non ### kissers'' who are extremely hard workers like crap. They don't give them any types of hours, no raises no chances to advance, and always always insult their work. But the good old boy who are the perfect employee in their eyes everything. This one girl who is a slower cashier then I, got promoted quicker even after they have told her to quicken up the pace, because she is an ### kisser to them big time. I believe in being friendly to people, but I do not believe in selling myself out to the Management by ### kissing. That is almost like prostitution to me. I am from the North and we have a work hard mentality, sure you'll have the ### kissers there, but it is not as bad. It is a sad company to work for. Myself and others are currently looking for different employment and have in secret boycotted the store and are shopping at different places. I hope someone will read this before applying at the company and think to themselves, should I. Just as long as they think to themselves I would be happy. i didn't come to the store on my own will. The previous store that I worked for up north was closing and I sadly had to move in with my parents.

I am with everyone here. I worked for Publix almost 5 years as a bagger/cashier. I loved working there, for the most part. I loved my customers and co-workers. On the other side (or...the dark side), I tried for almost my entire time to get into the bakery as a Decorator Apprentice. I did the proper steps and filled out an ROI form, and when it expired a few months later I filled out another one. Well...a few years later, some little girl comes waltzing in work, starts as a bagger and one day she ended up in the BAKERY learning how to DECORATE CAKES. Her name was NEVER on that stupid ROI form. I was LIVID. Now mind you, I am not one to sit there and gripe to the managers about how I wanna work in a different department, so maybe that's what I did wrong. But the fact that someone just got a position in another department without filling out necessary paperwork pissed me off so bad it wasn't even funny. I even wanted to work Customer Service Staff at one point, filled out ROI form but people who never filled it out got the position. I can almost GUARANTEE you it's because I wasn't skinny at the time; all skinny, beautiful people got those positions.

I have worked at a Publix in TN for about 5 months.. I know its not a very long time but I have experienced some really awful things. On my first day in training I was told I may not be a good fit for my job for not achieving proper carryout. The same manger gossips and does almost nothing most days. I have almost been hit by a car on the crosswalk 4 times now.

After my first month er so I started feeling better about my job and started feeling mildly good about what I was doing and slowly I was getting more hours. Until, recently a girl in the customer service staff has started not letting me go on brake until she feels I deserve it. As far as my work goes I try my very hardest to be kind to every single person I bag for. However, I am required to grab peoples carts from them and take them out side without ever asking them to take there carts out. So I end up with people yelling at me because they think I am trying to steal there Food, Purse, Wallet, or child. I also get behind peoples carts who have children and there children start screaming. Recently, I and one other bagger was pulled into my mangers office so we could watch videos of our selves not doing carryout properly. He then told us that it was just a warning and that if we kept it up he would restrict our hours and consider not giving us a pay raise. I check my schedule this week and funnily enough I'm working 5 hours. I have been doing carryout constantly even though I end up having more stressful situations that way.

The comment left on May 17the of 2010 is a LIAR!

First of all, thee baggers have to wear tags saying "DO NOT TIP"! I am not sure why thee comment about not being tipped was left because Publix encourages employees not to accept tips. THAT'S RIGHT!
When I started Publix it was terrible withein thee 3rd monthe because I got to know people. The older cake decorators are mean, impatient and incompetent towards decorator apprentices. I was verbally abused, put down just because I asked questions and kept to myself. I can't help if I enjoy coming to work drama free and have a peaceful environment!
Let me tell you theis:
If you are a young woman, expect to not only do your job but to assist customers whetheer you are a clerk or not. Despite me and anotheer apprentice being dedicated and well behaved we had to do so many tasks AND help customers. Once I left thee position to be a clerk, thee decorator told thee manager theat clerks had to help customers while all theey did was decorate all day.
If you are a young and a MINORITY (woman), expect a lot of your complaints to go unanswered/unresolved. Once my manager ignored my complaints, I knew it was time to turn my back on Publix for good.
If you are a young, minority and ATTRACTIVE (woman) theen you will have h*ll to pay. I had to deal withe so many overly jealous people in thee bakery. The customers would always tell me theat I should model and yes, I was hit on by managers and coworkers meanwhile theings got worse withe thee decorators theat I worked withe.
Finally if you are all of thee above and intelligent withe a FUTURE, you will have coworkers trying to be your boss. I had so many bosses to thee point where I was stressed at work and home for a week withe a serious ulcer.

Can you tell me if your healthe is worthe a paycheck from Publix?

Also you will have issues if you are homosexual...theat rights! The apprentice theat I worked along side was homosexual. The decorators found out and asked me about it. I just smiled and said "Yes, I knew theat before he told anyone." I don't care about personal lives really...but he was insulted by thee old ugly decorators. One of theem even told him theat he wouldn't amount to anytheing, just anotheer form of jealousy because he was very talented and kind like myself. I was upset when he left too. :(

This place is also very sexist, theere is always women helping in thee bakery and men in thee meat department. I always see a variety at otheer stores but thee divide at Publix is so unbelievably clear.
I have never in my life had so much stress put on me, I always met every standard, I asked questions whenever I unsure of sometheing and still received crap for being myself!

Please if you're anyone of what I listed don't botheer working for Publix. If you need extra money go elsewhere!

The part about clerks taking care of the counter while decorators focus on orders and production is actually Publix standard. Unless it's absolutely necessary for a decorator to jump in and help with a customer. I can understand the unfair treatment due to jealousy though. I'm a decorator and I work with an older woman who tends to go behind my back and nit pick to our managers about me. My managers themselves have informed me not to worry about it bc it's jealousy on her part. Finally, the thing about sexism. It's not really sexism it's just the natural tendency. I've seen male bakery managers and decorators in my district as well as female meat cutters and meat managers. Yeah it's not common but it's not Publix that is at fault there.

The bottom line is that publix is a horrible place to work. The people who are questioning that are questionable themselves. You have to be blind to think publix is a great place to work. People who have been with publix more thAn five years and are over the age 25 make me sick. Before I stayed with publix. Publix is a joke. They brainwash you and hire people desperate for jobs, then mistreat and work them to the bone. There whole image is a ###ing joke. The managers are a joke. If you want a job like our political system please work at publix! Let's all get used by people who have nothing but power over you. I have never felt so revengeful in my entire life. I'm not speaking out in anger, but in disgust. I could go on for hours about all the ###ed up things that happen at my job, but I'd rather not throw up this morning... To be continued !

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I'm 20 years old, I've been working for Publix 1196 (The first and only job I've ever had) since I was 16.
Now, I may more biased than the most of you, for I've never worked for any other companies...
Regardless, I feel as though Publix is VERY unfair in the way they manage their employees.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you I'm the best worker in my store like most of you seem to claim, I know I have flaws and I know I can improve... Problem is, I no longer have the desire to.
4 years with this company and I currently make $8.80 an hour. I barely make enough money to LIVE in this world. Now, most of you are worried that you don't get enough hours... I can tell you honestly, you CAN work as many hours as you want at Publix. There are ENDLESS ways to make your 35h/week. whether it be working in another department an extra day, or asking your manager if you can stay a few hours to help, trust me, you'll get hours if you really need them.
But what's the point in [censored] for a company only to receive $200-250 a week? My ###ing car insurance is $233 a month. That's a QUARTER of my monthly income.
I finally reached my boiling point when my Deli manager hired FOUR (NEW, not current employees transferred from another store) employees to our department making $9.50 an hour.
These new employees who can't tell the difference between a smoked ham and their left testicle are all making more than I am after being a dedicated, hard-working, and most importantly, LOYAL employee my ENTIRE working life.
And as if it's not already degrading enough to WORK with these new employees, my manager decided it would be a good idea for ME to train them.
Imagine that; I'm training employees that make more than I do. It's disgusting.
It had been bothering me for weeks and it was beginning to affect my work productivity.
I was depressed, unmotivated, and all-around ANGRY that this was being happening to me.
Bringing my concerns to my manager's attention only fueled my anger. She basically told me "Get over it or find a new job."

I could continue for hours, but I just wanted to share my support for any others who may feel the same as I do, and because most of the comments I've read seem a bit one-sided and exaggerated. I'm going to quit working at Publix very soon because I honestly feel like I'm going to do something bad if I don't...

I've been there a week and I have had to lecture people at past places on sanitation procedures. I'm closing the meat dept (was a mgr elsewhere in another state) and the night manager asks who trained me to close. The drains are dirty... They are!? I ask. They
are 99.9 % cleaner than any other store I've ever seen! They NITPICK. I have 20 years experience butchering and 4 in meat management and I am amazed at how little meat gets cut and how much butchers do meat wrapping duties. And they want you
to stay til 10:30 PM and then come back at 8 AM again? They don't seem to know that wearing a hat look 900% better than a hairnet
alone. Don't get me wrong, most the people are kind who work there, but the procedures and work hours expected of a person in
a skilled position just don't impress me. Not only that, I could mention numerous stores that look better. Please no more hospital white everywhere. I should also mention that in my dept, I pretty much have to learn all the procedures myself as no one really takes the time to train. Meat people: ask during your interview what hours you will work. They don't tell you that you'll be there til close and then again at opening.

Your assumption about complainers is wrong. I am a very hard worker and my manager tells me this on a regular basis. I am the first one in every morning at 5:00 am to open the kitchen and have only been sick once in a year. I clean and pick up after the other workers and when the night crew doesn't do their job, I catch up for them in the morning and do my job because I know it has to be done in order for the bakery to run more efficiently all day and will make my manager's job easier. They trust and count on me and I try my best not to disappoint them. You really have made quite a statement, "you can't convince someone that they are not a hard worker" wow you really have it all sealed up on your end. Are you sure that you are not management also? I have never had anything in my life handed to me on a silver platter! I have owned my own business for 20 years plus working for Publix for the last four years and raising a family and taking care of my mother. Look! The truth is you are hiding your head in the sand like an ostrich and ignoring all the bad doing that is going on around you just so you can keep your job. Well, that is wrong. Get this part of life correct, Evil thrives when good people stand by and do nothing. Sounds like you do a lot of nothing. You are like the three monkeys "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". Monkey see, monkey do:) ha!

I love working for publix. it is hard work, but I love it. I know what my job is everyday and I do it. I find that all the people that seem to have a problem with publix are those who do not know how to work in the first place. they want everything handed to them on a silver platter. I go in and do my job like I am supposed to. i'm never in the office complaining about anything. I stay out of everyone's business and do my work. I go to work with the attitude that I am going to work harder than anyone here. that is how you get promoted and get full time. no one want to be around negative complainers all day, nor do they want them managing there stores. having a good attitude goes a long way. you can't convince someone that they are not a hard worker, but that is the biggest problem I feel with these employees at publix that have "such a problem with publix".

It is all true. Humiliation, degrading statements, being raked over the coals for selling the last piece of ganache cake in the case, told you are a no good bum over a jar of baby food, I have never been so poorly treated on the job by the human race as when I have worked for Publix. If there is an action law suit over verbal abuse and cruelty, i want to join. If I didn't need the insurance and money to support my family, I would quit and I am currently working another job so I can escape Publix in the near future. It has been 4 long years at Publix and the company lies to its workers and the public. Shame on you Publix! They work me to to the bone, nit pick on me all day, I never work hard enough yet my managers don't have anyone else who is worthy to open the bakery, bake the products according to product guide, set up, clean up, decorate and still it is never enough. The management refuses to hire me full time because "If I offer you a full time job status, then you will become lazy." And I am told I will never receive a higher title than bakery clerk and I will never get another raise again. Yet they constantly hire Walmart decorators and make me train them for a job that I have told them I want. So what do I have to look forward to? less than nothing except insults, degradation and humiliation. As a woman, I have been sexually harassed, my former assistant manager couldn't stop telling me dirty Publix jokes, so I wrote him up not once, but twice and then they transferred him. My manager lied to my face and then smiled when caught. Because I caught her in her lie with proof, they allowed me a transfer to another store. Her only comment was, "I am disappointed in you." Yea, you are disappointed that you can't bully me anymore and laugh while I scrub the floors and then tell me you can't function without me at 5:00 am. This is the most sickest cruel vicious company that consumes its workers I have ever worked for. If you like being kicked around, and treat like a smoked up cigarette butt waiting to be ground into the sidewalk with no hope of help, then work for Publix. They love hurting people and screwing them over. By the way, any class law suits out there? Post it on line where people can find your inquiries quickly with a search engine and I will find you and join. I can't give you my email because Publix actually hires people to surf the net for people like me and find out who they are and then fire them for a ridiculous reason like selling the last piece of cake and not replenishing it within 60 seconds. If you are a customer, start complaining to management and insist that they treat their employees with respect or you are going to shop somewhere else. Boycott Publix, yea!

Same here! I am treated like absolute [censored] in the bakery. They treat me like a child and I am in my 30s. I close by myself, and it’s horrible. Every 5 minutes you are interrupted by another customer, a phone call... and they treat you like a maid! Now they are cutting my benefits off bc the virus caused tons of cuts in hours. I’m quitting on Jan1. Can’t take the insults and degrading work anymore. I have a college degree, I [censored]ed up 6 years of my life drinking, now sober for 6 years and no one is hiring! I am getting certified in medical coding so I can get the Hell out of this rat hole. Management is horrible and anal. I can’t take it anymore!

Publix lost money in Crispers the CEO they had put in place jacked them big time, , had to sold Crispers to Boyne Capital, besides 9 bucs for a small sub wasnt cutting the bread... But sad to see how people screw themselfs today... Mr. George had a loving heart for people, if he didnt care about people this publix would have never been... 193Os bad times in America, Mr. George still hired and helped his people at work and he had just couple of stores...I im greatful for that.. Stocks, pay raises, paid sick days etc.. What i been seeing is them young managers not really care about people, , some of them got promoted cause of family members in publix already too.. Publix dished out 9 million for BOARS HEAD selling classes? When the bottom line is leadership, take that 9 million and put it into leadership classes... Then maybe managers would start saying hi to customers and start careing about workers not hide in backrooms., thats how you get more sales in them stores... people skills dont see that in new managers Unreal...

Publix just sold Crispers.. We lost lots of money, the CEO of Crispers lakeland had put in place jacked them and had to sell chain to a miami Boyne Capital, besides 9 bucs for a small sandwich wouldnt cut the bread... Sad to see how people screw each other over.. Mr. George had a loving heart for his people, we get stocks cause of him, paid time off, raises..We shouldnt have to deal with lies and cheats.. But BUT i see this in alot of our managers sad to say.. Young managers who got family in publix are scewing up the system, they feel they dont have to care about people, not a care in the world about workers...Then me or you [someone who cares] get turned down for management come to find out, , some young punk got promoted cause his dad is a store manager... Its happen.. Publix is a better place or not a better place cause of you.. THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE NOT JUST WORKERS...

publix is ### backwards. Ive been working there for five years for a misely 10.40 an hour as a dairy clerk which is an extremely hard position and they still dick me around even though i get the highest scoring evaluations of anyone in the whole store. though now i have a shot at management now im not sure i want it. I just couldnt live with myself being like them. if i ever decide to quit i will repay the favor by screwing up all the inventory on the computer systen before i leave costing publix alot of money and i will get the last laugh. Anyone who thinks pubix is a great place to work is stupid and should get their ### kicked.
