My name is Judith rented a space at Public Storage 1900 El camino Street in Colma CA moved out 09/01/2018 around 1:30pm
I am writing you this complain to let you know I did retired and moved out of the country to take up a position in an orphanage home. As of 09/01/2018 to volunteer my time in South America to poor people.
I do not owe Public Storage a dime after the receipt was printed that $200.00 for Sept 2018 billing as outstanding for what. I had instructed and notified my lawyer regarding the case that nothing should be reported to my credit report at all. So under my lawyer advice I am writing this letter.

Thanks

Public Storage customer service policy

I opened my storage 3 yrs ago w/ the understanding that if I add my aunt to the account that she would be able to handle my affairs to the storage in my absence. I currently reside out of state, was in a vehicle accident and CANNOT return to Chicago for the sake of replacing a lock on my storage unit that was late but paid. I was told that my aunt could be added to handle ANY BUSINESS pertaining to my strorage unit. She has been denied access to replace the lock even once the strage unit has been paid. I've reached the General manager Meghan Arquette twice with no return call. Their general number reroutes back to the storage facility...I was also advisded by Madison that there was no conplaint board to file a complaint. I would like to file for unfair practices with the strage facility on 1001 W. 111st Chgo Il 60643.

Public Storage employer harassment and false reporting

I rented a 24 hour access unit (referred by someone who has used public storage for years..).. I rented this unit on sunday and work days so I move at nite, per reason I rented a 24 hour access spot. Now since sunday a week ago I have been red locked out of my unit several times, tonite being one of them, I have a whole truck full of my belonging's in and on my explorer, not being able to access my paid unit.. And the staff here keep telling me i'm in violation of this and that and threatens me and is constantly is up my butt about everything.. Why I can not access my paid unit tonite is beyond me. I have almost everything I own sitting here in front of my unit and can not get in. This is very unprofessional and now I am forced to pay for a motel. That I can not afford and take a chance for all my belongings to get stolen. I fell last sunday when I tried to move into my unit because of the drop off not being painted yellow.. And by code a dropoff of this size must be painted yellow. I am going on monday to seek legal advise, and tonite I go to hospital instead of motel because the infection is very bad going up my leg.. I am more than upset by all this crap and will not refer anyone to your facilitis as a matter fact I will post on public media and wherever else I can. I have tried contacting the regional and this unprefessional employee no one is available. If I lose one thing of mine I will own public storage

Public Storage 44% annualized rate increase for new customer

Ouch...not surprised after reading other reviews.

This Beaverton, OR, Denney Rd facility slapped a 44% annualized rate increase on storage unit.

No one is available to discuss it of course with one rep passing it on to another and on to district manager, etc, etc.

I wish I had read reviews prior to using Public Storage. They seem to be the scourge of the industry.

Public Storage terrible customer service

I called and told the company my payment would be late this month and asked if that would effect having access to my storage they told me no I would just be charged a late fee however that was not at all true. They disabled access and when I called back a few days later a lady named JESSICA had a horrible attitude and was completely insensitive about the situation as if it wasnt her problem.

Public Storage storage unit

I'm highly pissed off. I'm a military personel. This storage unit is for my mother. I ended up being responsible for all her accounts and debt. I have been going through financial difficulties trying to manage my bills (being a mom of two also) including what I got stuck with her bills. I just dropped $695 last week to catch her up on the rent. For aug the rent is remaining. The storage is however up for auction on aug 10th. The District Manager Ben has the ability to help out and override the system but he chooses not to do so. I asked him time till the 16th. I was lied to by the personel at the White Oak location that my storage unit would be fine since I only owe Aug and we are in Aug. come to find out it still will be sold. I think it's ridiculous that we are lied to and last min have to come up with a payment. Other companies and many other storage places work with you but apparently not this area (white oak and silver spring). They need to get their employees trained properly and a new District Manager who knows how to talk to people and help them out. I spoke to corporate customer service and different managers in the other locations and they told me the DM is the only one that can override but he's the one choosing not to. The fees are ridiculous and then there's a lien on it too. They basically make double money from us.

Public Storage Storage unit -Preston hwy louisville ky

I have been trying to get a hold of Erica fieldman for a month.

I have called over 15 times and sent numerous email and heard nothing back.

My unit was broken into, then a month later I was told my u it would be place on maintance until further notice, a week later the rest of the items in the unit were discarded by public storage with no explanation.

Corporate can't help, the location manager gets switched every week.

The worst experience ever after losing everything!

Public Storage burglarized units

I have a unit at the 36th and Stone location in Seattle. I have had the unit for 3+ years.
On July 16th we had trouble opening our lock. It took several tries but when we finally got it opened the door wouldn't lift up and realized that the top part of the door had been bashed in and out of the track.

Wesley, the manager had to get a crowbar to work the door back into place, crawl under the door and bash the door out before it would open. When we opened the door we noticed that the unit had been ransacked. He said that he would file a report with his supervisor and that he would email that report to us. We haven't seen that report yet. I was also told that break-ins are rare, maybe once every few months. I was lied to since those units were reported less than a week before mine.

I was told that to file a claim with our insurance company that I would need to file a police report. I waited for an hour at the unit for the police but we were not a high priority and I gave up.

This past weekend the woman across from us was in her unit and looked at us weird. She later told us that she had moved her things to this unit recently after a break in at her Public Storage unit at 15th NW. She was also then burglarized at this unit already too. She said she found her break in on July 10th. She also mentioned that the people next door to us also had their unit burglarized in the same time period. In all cases the lock had been picked and locked back onto the door.

I was told that there are no cameras in the hallways, only on the entrances. I have also read some Yelp reviews of angry renters at this location that says that it is an inside job which I am beginning to believe.

I haven't discovered everything that was taken yet. I had kept old family heirlooms and memorabilia in there. I do know that they emptied the 4 jewelry boxes that contained my aunt's jewelry because we found those strewed and empty around the room. I do have photos of all of the jewelry. I have attached some of them.

I was under the misconception that Public Storage units were a pretty safe way to store belongings. After finding out that there were break-ins in adjacent units without being notified by the management it is pretty shocking!

I believe that you should notify all renters in the building when there are reports of break ins. A good neighbor would do that at home.
I also think that you should have active working cameras on all of the hallways that you keep on file for this this reason. We are paying very high rents for these spaces and should have expectations of safety.

Public Storage malicious removal of my property.

On July 2nd 2018 i brought a unit at the public storage located on Patapsco Avenue in Baltimore Md. When leaving the property after moving my things into my unit, we were told that the gate could not let us out because it was after hours (which was never communicated to me at the initial time of buying the unit). So therefore, myself, my 2 young children, and family members whom helped me move my things were stick inside of the gate for 4 hours. 911 was called but came and couldn't help. We had to leave our cars until the next morning. July 3rd 2018 at 6am I came to the unit to get my car and my access code ago get into the gate did not work. So I left until the office opened up at 9am. Before my arrival back to the property I got a call from the district manager who was VERY disrespectful and nasty. He yelled at me and threatened over the phone. He was VERY unprofessional and left me in tears once the conversation ended. I proceeded to the storage and when I tried to gain entry my access code did not work. The employee at the office then was kind enough to manually open the gate for me. When I got to the unit to finish moving the last few things I noticed that there was an orange lock on my unit. When questioned the employee told me that he didn't know why or who put the lock on my unit and that he was going to further investigate. The district manager that I argued with over the phone disabled my access code and ordered that they change the lock on my unit so that I could not gain access. He had NO reasoning to do so other then our dispute over the phone. He did it with maliciously and wrongfully. THAT WAS THE LAST DAY THAT I WAS AT THE PROPERTY. On July 14th 2018 I got a call from the property manager of the storage saying that there was no lock on my unit and that it was empty. When I got to the property my unit was definitely empty and there was no lock on the storage. All of my property was gone. I have a 7 year old and a 3 month old child, whom all of there belongs was inside of my unit, amongst bedroom sets, TVs, all of our clothes, personal pictures and VERY important documents. My whole 2 bedroom house was inside of my unit. Everything had been taken out. I had just got my unit 2 weeks prior so there was no outstanding fees and my rent had been paid for that month. Also, the lock was missing as well whom the only people who had keys to the unit was myself and the employee(s) at the storage. Once again, the employee at the office could not answer none of my questions and was also very unprofessional and disrespectful. He was very unsympathetic and would not help me with taking the proper steps to get to the bottom of why all of my belongings were gone. I called 911 and reported a burglary and I will be taking further steps to get to the bottom of why miraculously all of my belongings came up missing. Iam distraught, saddened and very hurt! My kids have nothing and all of my personal belongings can not be replaced.

Public Storage storage space

This in regards to Fort Lauderdale FL Tamarac location off University Dr. I walked in March 14th to purchase an unit and May 7th I transfer my unit to a larger unit. Before the process of anything I specifically asked the young lady if I'm not staying the full month would I pay partial and she looked at me and said if your referring to be propriation I don't see why not. And when I completed the transfer I asked about it again since it didn't look like I'm moving out by the 1st and the lady said it would be okay. Now, July 7th I walked in thinking I'm going to pay them partial or get prorated and they hit me with $172 charge and the representative acting as they would not tell me this and when I spoke to the rude as district manager Rudy, he claims it's month to month and they couldn't do anything for me. I'm highly upset because there's no who care about their miscommunication and they just want to rob people for their money. I'm demanding my refund back and need this to be taken care of right away. I hate that they lied to me just to get a sale and don't care about how their representatives relate information.

Public Storage property manager lashonda

This is Brandon bordelon I have a unit at the 4614 Barksdale Boulevard Bossier City Louisiana 71112 location unit G 537 I am lodging a complaint towards the property manager LaShonda. Few days after move in to one of your properties I waved to your property manager to tell her I was finished moving in she mistakenly thought I was telling her I was moving out this is her mistake not mine. The day after I received a call demanding payment of $7.50 to avoid late fees because of her mistake and removing us from the system. When we sign up she ahead giving us information about a promotional offer for the following month only being $1 fee. When we went back in she informed us that our feet was now $34 that her mistake took us off the promotion. She informed that she paid the money out of her pocket for her mistake but now is very rude and aggressively unprofessional. This is my first experience with a storage of any kind and from this experience alone I would never recommend it to anyone else. I understand that the ideals of another does not represent your company but I believe that when hiring for a particular position certain individuals are better at certain jobs. If you expect to keep your storage units full And customers happy employing individuals such as LaShonda would not be my recommendation. I hope to receive a call of some kind I can be reached at [protected] or [protected] Email [protected]@gmail.com. thank you very much and have a happy Fourth of July

Public Storage faulty equipment

To whom this may concern at Public Storage Corporation. My name is Gwendolyn Bonner and I rented space 1422 at 3366 Ladson Road. Ladson, South Carolina 29456. This unit was one of which was violated and property was stolen on 5 - 29 - 2018 with #[protected] 1 - 0 0 0 1 with report number [protected]. The item still on where inherited from my mother who passed from cancer. I just received these items I believe at the end of April which cost about $1, 800 to have it shipped here to South Carolina. My loss was over $9, 000 and much of it can never be replaced. My concern now is what role in compensation will your company take responsibility for these lost items. I have executed my part but applying for insurance and I feel your facility was negligent by not having your equipment working properly to protect my cherished property. My family is devastated that we ourselves never got the opportunity to cherish her items for ourselves. So very disappointed in the unsafe care of this facility. Public Storage door broken for weeks - mgnt promised $74? credit but now refusing.

I obtained a storage unit on May 20th but upon moving in the unit had an issue with the door not shutting down properly. I was even called by Jenna the property manager that my lock was not on correct...so i came into the unit to check it and asked her to go upstairs with me bec I did not see anything wrong with my lock but the door is certainly having issues. Jenna saw the lock and said she must have looked at it wrong and that she would have the maintenance fix the door. I asked her when this would happen? She said she didnt now but it sometimes takes weeks. I told her that would not work for me bec i have my retail items that I store in here and I would be coming to the unit various days and times daily or weekly to get items. It took over 2 weeks to get it fixed. I requested compensation and something done for the inconvenience. After waiting on Jenna to get me in touch with Gary Pelleck the district mgr. I finally called the Public Storage home office to see if i can get help there. I was told by the cust srv rep that she would send an email to Gary's mgr and I would get a call back from him in 24-48 hrs. I never got that phone call. I finally got a cal from Gary P on June 15th where he apologized but said Jenna should have put in a request for the situation I had and he will have to address why she did not follow procedures for this and give me a credit request. He said what do I think i should be compensated for the inconvenience and the issue never being handled timely? I said $74. He said that is fine and that he would send Jenna an email to put in the request but I could still call her and tell her that he said it was ok and if she didnt do it then other measures will be taken againest Jenna. Well fast forward to last week. on the 19th, I called Jenna to ask if this is handled? - she said its in the works. I told her I am not making a payment when I'm due a $74 credit. She told me its in the works. June 25th I called and left Gary P a msg telling him whats going on with me getting a bill and my storage insurance is cancelled due to non pymt but i should have had that $74 credit handling my account and nothing due from me. I never got a call bk from Gary. Today June 26th I spoke to Jenna and she said she and Gary sat down last Friday and discussed my acct and that he is only giving me $34 credit! I said that can't be true. At this point I am about to take this to the Local News. I have been given the run around by Public Storage for long enough.

Public Storage unauthorized name illegally put on storage

I just tried to put my things in public storage on saint Barnabas road. I made a reservation to place my things in the storage . I was told before I got there that there was a special which was not true. I was still going to go ahead with it with hearing the huge diference in pricing because I was already there with a truck full of my property. When I gave the lady my id, she informed me that a man had put my name on his storage that I had no idea about. How do you give someone authority to add anyone's name without them being there. That had completely messed me up from getting any storage unit from public storage because of a 800 balance she said the person owed. I want to know why this was allowed and how this can be fixed

Public Storage renting a storage unit that I reserved and received confirmation for

I made an online reservation for a storage unit and received an email confirmation about my reservation. Shortly after I received a phone call from Public Storage and I verbally confirmed that I would be at the location on 6/23/18. On 6/23/18 I arrived to the public storage location and was told that the unit that I reserved was rented the same day. I asked for an explanation despite the notes on their system confirming that I did have a reservation. Their explanation was that a confirmation does not guarantee a storage unit. That is totaling perplexing to me. What is the purpose of reservations, confirming verbally and an email confirmation?
