PromGirl Terrible online shop!

I have ordered two lovely dresses from this website about two months ago and one month later received a message that my dresses were no longer available. I contacted PromGirl customer service immediately and asked for a refund. They said that they don't do refunds and offered me to pick something else. One dress was for me and the second one was for my sister and we needed those for a special event. I was so disappointed! I told them that the only thing I need is my money back, but they stopped replying to my messages! Terrible online shop!

PROMGIRL SUPPORT -

Per my conversation with Kelly this morning, I returned the dresses. I cannot jump through any more ridiculous hoops to try and get you to be fair to me, the customer! As I explained in emails, live chat, with photos and verbally - neither of the dresses were worn - 1 was canceled after it didn't ship in time and it arrived too late for the event and the other is damaged / deffective! If your excuse for shipping bad product and giving terrible customer service is that you are "protecting your business from your customer" you won't have any customers or a business to protect.

Promgirl made logistics mistakes (incorrect information about product availability and expected ship date, late shipping, allowing damaged/defective product to ship, etc) and countless customer service mistakes (conflicting information, bad information, the customer is wrong/bad before they're right/good mentality, protect yourself from the customer, difficult to work with, slow to respond, refusing to be fair, etc.).

I've done everything, according to Promgirl's terms of service and I've sent everything that Promgirl's customer service asked in order to receive fair treatment and a return authorization for both dresses. I am within my rights to expect a refund for these items.

Both dresses are on their way back to Promgirl, in the same condition I received them, in the same boxes with all of the order information. Neither of them were worn, as I stated. Neither of them or your service were of any use to me, your former customer. I will be issuing a dispute with my bank for the charges for those dresses - exactly and with tax.

I will share all of this experience with my friends and networks. I will not buy from Promgirl or any company affiliated with Promgirl, again. I will go out of my way to buy from your competitors and to make sure that I tell everyone about this experience

PromGirl Extremely disappointed!

I am extremely disappointed and will never buy anything from PromGirl.com. I've ordered a lovely cream dress. When I received it I was shocked because it was totally white! They use some filters and photoshop so there may be a huge difference in colors. I contacted customer care and asked for a refund. They refused and said that dress I ordered was on sale and they never give refunds for items that are on sale. What sale? I had no idea what they were talking about because when I bought it there was no sale. Extremely unprofessional company and a very poor way to take care of the customers. So disappointed.

PromGirl Highly unprofessional company!

I purchased a dress from PromGirl about two month ago. That was supposed to me my wedding dress. They promised I would receive it on time. Two weeks before my wedding I received a message from their customer service saying that the dress I ordered was no more in stock! They offered me a refund. That's great, I appreciate they decided to give me my money back. But it was only two weeks before the ceremony and I had no dress! Stay away from these clowns! Highly unprofessional company!

PromGirl Crazy taxes

I've ordered a dress from this website and I live in Europe. The dress I purchased cost me $150 and shipping taxes were over $200! Are kidding me? I contacted Promgirl customer service and asked what was going on. They said that there was nothing they could do. I was told to contact the shipping company and they would explain why shipping costs so much. Who even buys from this place? I'll never order anything from here!

PromGirl information on website/ customer service

DON'T BUY here at least when you live outside USA
My daughter ordered her prom dress and had to pay about 60% more because of shipping costs, taxes etc. The website does not inform her target group (teens and young adults) properly about these 'extra costs' and they are faced with these costs when UPS is delivering the package. Phoning with the company they suggested to accept the package, pay the extra costs and 2 times the shipping costs and send the dress back. She could get the money back that she paid for the dress. This would mean that she has no dress and paid 220 dollar?!
PromGirl has to take her responsibility and act according to normal values that respect the target group!

PromGirl The colour and design of the dress was completely different

I placed order on the website www.fabulouspromgirl.com. I ordered dress from them. I got the order 2 days ago, but the dress looked completely different as on the website. The colour was darker and the design was completely different. I wanted to return it back, but I needed to pay for the return postage. I really advise you to stay away from them and don’t waste your time. So be careful if you use this website or leave comments if you have horrible experience with this seller.

I ordered two dresses from the company www.fabulouspromgirl.com. These jerks provide the dresses, but they looked like piece of cloth. I was really disappointed, as well as I tried to return them, but the seller refused. He told me that he didn’t take orders back. It was his policy. I was really disappointed in such services and in the website in the whole. Please, share your reviews about this website.

PromGirl Return policy

I will never buy another dress from them for as long as I live. I bought a dress for my brothers wedding. I didn't care for the way it looked or felt on me. When I started to fill out the return slip, it said I had to get an RA number from them directly. When I went online to get the RA# they informed me I was past the 5 day return limit and refused to give one to me. No where on the return slip does it say ANYTHING about needing to do it in 5 days. Be weary of buying from them.

No, I didn't. It still is in it's original package, with the tags still on it. It is in the exact same condition it was shipped to me in. The only time I put it on was to see if I liked the way it fit on me. Please place the blame where it belongs, which is NOT on me.

I wish I had really looked into PROMGIRL.com before i had placed an ordered with them. I bought a prom dress for my daughter it was about $400 with shipping. It arrived and was seriously so cheap. It literally had glitter falling off the dress and was everywhere in my house for just from opening it in my living room and walking to the bedroom to try it on. After 3 weeks, I received an email saying that the dress was ripped but yet no picture proof was sent with the email. Unbelievable. Still waiting for an email to prove this rip. Obviously they can just take a picture of another dress. WARNING: TAKE A PICTURE OF THE DRESS BEFORE YOU SEND IT BACK SO YOU HAVE YOU PROOF OF NO DAMAGES IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY FROM HERE!

I wish I had done some research on this site before I ordered from them. The dress we got for my daughter was $350 and it was the cheapest thing I had ever seen in my life. Please Please do not order from them, they will only give you store credit if you try to return the dress.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!they sent me the wrong dress TWICE! i ended up having to go out the DAY before my prom to find a new dress, shoes and accessories. when i asked to speak to their manger or president they didnt allow me to. this company is a joke!

PromGirl I had the worst experience of my lifetime with this company

The worst website ever. I had to pay shipping plus 40% the dress was originally priced at the door when it was delivered because they didn't consider international shipping chargers. When I tried to put the dress on the smallest size xs was way too big. I had to get it altered in time for my prom but then it turns out the stupid cheap zipper keeps getting jammed. Finally once I had the dress on for over an hour and things were finally looking up, I ended up with lots of scratched from the rough material under my armpits because it was a strapless dress. Not to mention the material felt really tough and cheap.
To wrap things up when I tried to contact them and leave my review on the page the dress was sold the didn't put it up. So all those reviews they have on the site are forged. I paid triple the amount I was expected to pay due to additional shipping fees and alterations.
At the end of the day all I got out of the stupid dress was one night of scratching and discomfort.

All in all. I had the worst experience of my lifetime with this company.

PromGirl Customer service is really really horrible

First of all, the customer service is really really horrible. The reps are unable to help with any returns or size changes. REALLY READ THE POLICIES because you WILL be screwed if you find a slight problem with your dress and find that you need to return or exchange it but CAN'T. Or, if you argue long and hard enough, they will give you 1/4 of your money back in store credit - but you have to pay an additional $40+ on shipping and other fees for that return/exchange. For a $200 dress I ordered from a rather highly reputable company, my experience with them was unacceptable! I wasted double my money on a prom dress I didn't even get to wear once.
CAREFULLY READ THEIR POLICIES or altogether just avoid this website. Also Read reviews and be careful before pressing 'buy'!"

The dress we ordered was nothing remotely like the color pictured on the website and the sizing is much smaller than standard manufacturers. Their customer service reps were rude and unrelenting. I offered to ship the dress back in exchange for another size larger (and pay a re-stocking fee) and they refused. I did all of this within 12 hours of receiving the dress. I am absolutely appalled at the responses we were given. DO NOT order from this company unless you are okay with major color variations and be sure to order a larger size than you normally wear. I will NEVER patronize them again...and will be sure to let others know about our dissatisfaction...

This is the worst site i have ever tried to order from. I got my dress that I ordered and it was a completely different color than what was shown in the picture and the sequins were literally coming off of the dress! the stitching was pulling out the instant I tried it on for the first time. When I called customer service they were rude and would not work with me in any way possible. I wouldnt advise anyone to ever order from here!

PromGirl Terrible website, will NEVER use again

Terrible website, stay far away. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. UNPROFESSIONAL. I bought a dress in 2011 from the website and hated how it looked on. Nothing like the picture. In 2012 I wanted to return it for store credit and get a new one. I didn't think it could be done because it had been a year but the woman on the live chat insisted it could be done. I was thrilled. I even asked her if she was sure it was okay since it was over a year ago and she said no problem. She sent me a return authorization code, I spent $25 on the shipping and off it went. 2 weeks later and I still had heard nothing of my store credit. I chatted the website thinking it was a mistake and instead I was told my return could not be processed because it was over a year old. I told the woman I already sent it and was given a return code and that it was ridiculous. After waiting to hear from her for 10 minutes she gave me a number and told me to call the manager. WHAT AN IDIOT HE WAS. He kept pausing and not knowing what to say. I told him his company made a mistake and he acted like it was no big deal. He didn't even ask me who gave me the code and you could tell he could care less about the mistake. He would not do anything about the problem even though it was obviously his company a BIG mistake. I told them how they wasted my time and it was absolutely ridiculous and he said nothing on the phone and sat there in silence. On top of all that, they had my returned dress for over a week, and did not bother to email me and tell me what had happened. They waited for me to contact them asking where my credit was. Incredibly unprofessional. He never even apologized for their mistake. Terrible website, will NEVER use again.

They really have the worst customer service of any prom site I've ever seen! we ordered my dress for a May 5th prom and they told me it was in stock when i ordered it. we paid extra for two day shipping to make sure i had it a full month in advance and they called me the day it was supposed to be DELIVERED and told me it was out of stock. two days later they told me they still didn't have a new reship date. two days after that, a dress i ordered from another website came in (a backup because promgirl was being horrible) and we called promgirl to tell them to cancel the order. they very rudely told us that they would not cancel the order because it could get shipping april 20th and that was plenty of time. after 30 minutes listening to them rudely tell ME how much time it would take me to get ready for prom and that it getting here april 25th was in time for a may 5th prom i hung up. we had to call the credit card company and ask them to refuse to pay the website the money. we're still having problems insisting we pay for the dress. DO NOT ORDER HERE. they have horrible customer service and it's just a money pit, no matter what they will get your money. total scam.

PromGirl Do not order unless it says &in stock& and you are 100% sure that you are ordering the correct size/dress

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a dress and it was wayyyy big even though I followed the sizing chart so I had to send it back and pay for shipping and I am still currently waiting for my "exchange code". I chatted with an online representative about questions regarding a new dress I wanted and she'll say one thing and then say another contradicting the first thing. I had to correct her many times. Its like she doesn't know what she's talking about. The event I need it for is quickly approaching and they couldn't be any less help. I should've stayed away like all these reviews warned. Its also ridiculous to pay a "restocking" fee as well. I am beyond angry at this company. Do not order unless it says "in stock" and you are 100% sure that you are ordering the correct size/dress!

PromGirl Dishonest way to do business

I purchased a dress that I needed in 2 weeks and when I got the confirmation on the order I noticed they were not going to ship it for 6 weeks. I immediately tried to cancel the order and they refused. They said they didn't allow cancellations. They said they would ship it to me in 6 weeks and then I could return it to them. Of course I would have to pay for shipping and pay a fee to return it. What a ripoff. Dishonest way to do business.

PromGirl I got a message that said my dress was not available in my size and they still charged my card

I should have listened! I told myself everyone gets a little harsh in a review..ha.. not so. I did not even order from this site. I got a message that said my dress was not available in my size... THEY STILL CHARGED MY CARD! And the sister site, Simply Dress, I tried to order there. I got some error message that told me to try again. I did. Same message... THEY CHARGED MY CARD TWO TIMES! So now I have 3 charges for NOTHING tying up all the credit on my card! Because of these people, I cannot book my honeymoon trip until this BS gets cleared up. The card company said the charges are PENDING but that is BS. I ordered NOTHING. The charge will fall off in 10 days, but thats TEN DAYS for NOTHING. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY! Even when I call them in the AM it wont every change the fact that I cannot book my honeymoon tonight and I feel my wedding plans are off to a horrible start.

Yes, the dresses from Peridress are excellent. I have a good experience from Peridress. It come here in time. And it fit me so well. So I think you should choose Peridress next time.

Maybe next time you can purchase your dress from Peridress. Peridress can customize the dress according to your size. It is really excellent. I have had my wedding dress from them. I just want to say the dress is amazing and wonderful. Thanks for all of their help and making it possible for me to have the dress of dreams I will recommend them to any of my friends which get married in the future.

PromGirl Beware

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE. THEY ARE DECEPTIVE AND RUDE. I ordered several separate dresses to be used as bridesmaid dresses and they cancelled one of the orders on me because they thought it was a duplicate. If they were professional and organized and knew how to run a business, they would have contacted me first and would have found out that I did want more than one of the same dress. Then when I called to fix the problem they took no responsibility for their mistakes and told me that I didn't speak or read English and that when I did learn, to reread their return policy which they themselves screwed up on. Then to make matters worse, they took so long to look into what happened that the other dresses I already ordered and that they cancelled on me were now out of stock. Now only half of the bridesmaids have the dress and the others are stuck without anything. Also their sizing on their clothes are totally off. They may have some business now, but I am sure they won't last long. Because, their products are cheap and WAY OVERPRICED and they are rude beyond belief. I plan on taking this to the highest of courts and letting everyone I know and don't know what kind of business they are running. PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE MANY OTHER CHOICES you have out there if you don't want your event and memories destroyed.

I ordered a dress on 1/3/11. It said it was due to ship 1/30/11. I was ok with that. I thought I would get the dress in plenty of time for prom. I received a conformation email for my order that said it was due to ship 2/18/11. I was ok with this as well. Then about 2 weeks later the shipping date changed to 2/28/11. I called and asked why this was. They said the item was on back order and the date shouldnt move back any further. On 2/1/11 I received an email that said it was shipping on 2/4/11. I was thinking awesome! I get my dress earlier. It is now 2/7/11 and I checked my order status online and the dress has not shipped. I emailed and asked if they meant 3/4/11 still no response. DO NOT ORDER FROM PROM GIRL! I dont know when ill get that dress.

PromGirl I will never purchase anything from them again

I ordered a prom dress for about $450 in advance to be sure the dress was ready for prom. When my daughter put on her dress for prom night, the cheap nylon zipper got stuck and it would not move up or down. Finally, we got the zipper to zip to the top but then the cheap nylon zipper split apart. We had to drive to a friend's house and have my daughter sewn into the dress, putting her at least an hour behind schedule the night of the prom. I contacted Promgirl several times, and they have not given us a refund, a credit, a partial refund, a partial credit, an offer to repair the zipper, an apology or anything. They have not even responded at all to my most recent email. They have terrible customer service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN.

PromGirl Bad service

I ordered my prom dress last Thursday, they said they had the dress in stock. I got overnight shipping.

Monday rolls around... No emails, no dress. Nada. My mom called and they said they had it in stock and would ship it that day.

It's Tuesday. No dress. My mom called. The lady said "we're sorry but that dress is no longer in stock." EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID IT WAS!

I can't find the dress anywhere now, and I don't know what to do.

THEY CHARGED OUR CREDIT CARD AND EVERYTHING!

Promgirl... update your website more frequently before you mess up someone elses prom.
