I have used this service by because the classes I was taking online make us use an online proctor. The staff is rude, unprofessional and never prepared. The training the must receive is subpar. I have logged on and had to wait for up to 20 minutes. The proctor once accidentally submitted my test accidentally. When I called to get help I was placed on hold by a smart mouthed young guy who left me on hold for twenty minutes. They refused to let me talk to a supervisor but ultimately came back on to help me. You are charged for this service through your tuition. They take the whole cost for proctor U out of your tuition. But if you try to reschedule you are charged an AUTOMATED 5 dollars. Even if the rescheduling is due to an issue outside of your control. Often the manager who comes on to help will be cordial and profetional. Getting them on the phone is the issue. The kids who proctor these tests are smart alek wise guys. On one occasion I witnessed the proctor talking to a friend, apparently next to her and laughing while I was trying to get their attention. I could see her because she did not disable the camera. Oh that's another thing. The disable the camera so they can see you but you can't see them. Then, when you try to get their attention by writing in the text box, they just sit their and don't respond, you can wave your hands and try to get them but still get no response. This site is a powerful tool for education. I hope they either fire the staff and retool with mature profetional said or someone opens another site like it so we can choose not to use ProctorU. They have to flush out the juviniles and hire profetionals, as proctors customer service reps.
