Pride Mobility PRIDE LIFT CHAIR MODEL NUMBER LW627022141S20

We purchased this chair on 22 June 2023, it was delivered on 28 June 2023. On 12 July 2023 the power unit and piggyback back-up battery apparently came loose and was trapped and crushed between two members of the frame resulting in the power and back-up battery were crushed, rendering them useless-rendering the chair useless...

I spent two days getting the run-around on the phone between the retail store where the unit was purchased (they no longer carry the Pride line). I was given the name and number for the area rep and he referred me to the customer "care" line they refused to supply the parts and referred me to a dealer, who stated that they could not help and then referred me to another dealer who said they could send a technician out and that I would be charged for repair. We had use of this chair for a little over two weeks and the PRIDE company will do nothing to help our situation.

Pride Mobility Product, service, wsr is a problem also your nail and the tech won’t call me back for a week because he couldn’t get in at 8 o’clock at night

They promised me two months ago two or three days they would be getting the part number. The part finally came into the service man 6 weeks and he’s had it for a week now, he wanted to come at 8 o’clock at night with my 93 year-old mother and that wouldn’t work she’s in a senior home. mother lives in that chair and she hasn’t been able to use it for almost 2 months now for a part, she’s only used it since October, it broke and 60 days

Desired outcome: fixed now

Pride Mobility Q6 wheelchaiR

My chair, ilevel actuator, has been broke since july with no corrective action

this is my second chair q6 and the 4th acuator that has broken.

I have requested that pride management contact me thru kris yonushka pride mobility products to address my multiple failures.

I forwarded the previous email to the quantum rehab reps in the il area and they are in communication with johnny and jerry at patients choice regarding your current situation.

Based on you follow up this morning as well, i have asked that a quantum representative reach out first hand via phone or in person to respond to your frustrations.

I’ll keep you informed in what i hear back.

Thank you

kris yonushka

kris,

what happened to having a mgr come see me. I have all my service records and i have issues that need to be discussed and someone from pride or quantum needs to take some time to address my issues. As discussed my findings my be of interest to someone!

a reply would be greatly sppreciated.

Johnnie & pride/kyle

i can't make this [censored] up. Last night while reclined the calf pad falls off the afp.

See attached pics.

So now i'm all greasey trying to put this back on myself at 12:30 in the morning and that ain't working. So i have to wait on pa to show up at noon.

Just more inconvenience.

What's the status on light switch and getting the actuator done?

what about the hip guide and head rest post?

i had an afp issue with old and new chair.

I have reviewed the service records you sent and pride was advised of the afp issue well before it failed on both chairs

and it failed because the pride tech gave your tech bad information and the issue was not addressed correctly on both chairs. Thus the failer occurred.

This should be on pride and not the responsibility of me our my insurance company to pay for since the issue was never corrected by pc or pride.

It would be nice if someone in management could address all these issues i have been going thru.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please contact kris and have management contact me

Pride Mobility Zero Turn 10

We just purchased 2 new Pride Zero Turn 10 electric mobility scooters. They were delivered 10/05/21. We took a cruise. As we were disembarking from the ship Saturday 11/20/21, we were caught in a cloudburst. We AND the scooters were drenched. That night the scooters wouldn't move. The lights were on, they were getting power, but they wouldnt move. We have had them sitting in the sun since then, to dry out, & one is working good & the other is getting there. The thing is... it is not covered under warrenty. There is nothing we can do to prevent it from happening again EXCEPT (as told to me by a Pride rep) carry a WalMart bag to cover it with in an emergency.
These are $2700.00 machines & thats the best advice they can offer me?
It seems to me that the parts that are so susceptable to moisture should be encased in plastic, during manufacture, to protect it from the moisture. It is mainly the electronics inside the tiller that are the problem.

Desired outcome: this issue be addressed be the Pride company.

Pride Mobility Delivery of Parts for repair

Purchases Pursuit XL in 2017.

No problems until 2021.

July 16: Scooter stared "jerking" when accelerating.

Replaced Main Controller Interface Part # CTL139124 $668.00
Installed new batteries. $400.00

July 28: Scooter still "jerking" when accelerating.

Replaced Motor and Brake assembly $1434.00 part # DRVASMB2175
Service Call $385.00 (extra hours for installation)

July 28: Scooter still "jerking". Technician called Pride services. Told to order "wig-wag" speed controller and Speed Pot.

Ordered parts the same day.

It is now Nov. 1 and I still do not have the parts. The vendor/repair company keeps updating me with an extended delivery. Now the new date is mid-November.

Pride reps told the vendor that they do not actually know where the parts are. Sub standard delivery policies. It has been three and one half months.

Pride is overjoyed to take your money for a new scooter, but they fail miserably when it comes to repairs.

Please, just find my parts and send them asap. I am 72, non functioning legs, and depend on this scooter everyday.

Desired outcome: Get the parts here.

Pride Mobility Jazzy 614 hd power chair

Purchased a Jazzy 614 power chair, delivered on 05/19/2020.
Chair had broken part on right side above the wheel. The bar under the right arm was scratched with pliers. I think they dropped the chair or messed it up when they put it together. If you adjusted the joystick back where you could reach it, then the joystick would turn out. The chair was clearly damaged and they should not have brought it to me like that. They also gave me a charger that is no longer made and not for the chair. I purchased the broke part and a correct charger myself. With Covid-19, don't want to be around people. I have got the runaround from them about getting a replacement chair. On 08/01/2020, the chair died out. They said they would come out with a Pride representative. They lied. Two store employees came out on 08/19/2020. They took the chair back with them. This place thinks it is good business practices to rip people off. The do not care for their customers and are full of outrageous excuses.
They ripped me off $3, 779.00. I have requested a refund twice and they ignore me.
There are lawsuits; Jazzy chairs catching fire. People have burnt up in these chairs.
I don't call being a Pride Authorized Dealer caring about your customers. Now we know why Home Health Store does not buy these chairs, but they will gladly get you one.

It is unacceptable. That is not how this works with Pride Mobility and our installs with the Manufacture. This will be at your residence where install will take place.

I do not know who Rick is in Texas that said this. I got the Manufacture which is PRIDE who sets this up with their contractors for install from X-MED.

I am following back up now with them at the manufacture now.

You are lucky, my "guy" charges $235 just to come look at my scooter. I also have asked for schematics and it was a NO.

Pride Mobility Poor quality and service

Purchased a Pride Legend Scooter approximately 1-1/2 years ago. Have have three major problems with the scooter. Originally, the scooter had an unacceptable noise level from the transmission. The last problem: LED Battery Voltage Indicator failure - the scooter was returned damage to the cover plate that covers the battery area. On the way home, the scooter failed again! In addition, the manager alleged he would go over the unit specially. The unit was returned today with the cover unit having the same damage (NO repaint or replacement).
I am a Senior on fixed income and I paid CASH for this unit from Peterson. From my experience with the Pride product and treatment at Petersen, I would NEVER by or recommend Pride products or Petersens!

DO NOT BUY from Powersports max. POOR quality and they don't stand behind the products they sell. Buyer beware. Here is a list of problems with the ATV we've had for 7 months and ridden very little problems. They will not rectify the problems.
-Flat tires
-Leaking gas tank
-Broken axle welds
-Chain comes off repeatedly
-Bolts falling off
-Muffler fell off
-Shorts in the electrical systems- lights

Do no buy.

I got a Z-Chair and began to have problems 6 month after. First the battery lasted only 3 month and was checked out and replaces. Now after many complaints, I charged it overnight and it lost charge about 10 am and I have to stop every thing and charge it for several hours. I cannot do that since I cannot walk at all. It just came back from the company I bought it from and they said nothing was wrong with it. I charged it overnight and at 10am it went from two green light to blinking red light is 3 minutes and had to be pushed home from the garbage dump.
I have had it and I am first complaining to the maker, medicare and file a consumers report.
I have only had the chair a year and a half. This is a nightmare. It supposed to go 12 miles on a charge and do not even go a 1/2 mile.

Pride Mobility disability scooter

Pride Mobility scooters are not only shoddily built, they're dangerous. I paid for mine several times over in repairs, which was bad enough, but the thing recently fell apart with me in it. The seat post welded to the base broke apart, the seat fell backward, and so did I. It was a miracle that I wasn't badly hurt, but only had a badly bruised head and shoulders from the fall. It isn't a lawsuit because I lost no money. But disabled scooter users should be aware that Pride scooters are not wise choices, and may even be dangerous choices.

Pride Mobility Dissatisfaction

I will be purchasing a new scooter for the 4th time in 5 years. I consider myself a "light" user in that I only use it 2-3 times per week for 2 hours per use. I use it for shopping, museum, or library usage. I don't think that this is a stress for a scooter. At over $1500.00 each time this is a hardship on my disability income. Do not buy a Sonic Pride scooter if you expect it to last beyond 3 years. This is "normal wear and tear duration" according to the company's customer service agent, Stephanie.

I have had a GOGO Elite Traveler fo 2 years. I have had it in for repairs more than I have actually had the scooter in my possession. The batteries last only a few months before having to be replaced. My insurance told me they will not continue to replace my batteries because they feel that its not medically necessary to replace them now because they keep replacing them. My insurance company (Medicaid) said I was using my scooter like a car and it was the reason my batteries were dying thus putting the blame for the faulty scooter on me. I was taking it out a few times a week and never going over 3 miles with it each time. I would charge it over night like suggested too. The scooter advertises that it goes 7 miles on a single charge. Right now I am not even getting a mile! The power indicator shows full charge until you start going and it drops indicator lights so fast... like within minutes after going maybe 20 mins its on the last yellow light and then red. Also when riding the motor will make a grinding noise for a few seconds and then run normally and then do it again. I have also had the speed pod, motor, battery pack, charger, fuses, battery connectors, and all 4 tires replaced. That is a lot of repairs in 2 years don't you think? FRUSTRATED!

I have a Gogo elite Travel Scooter. I had two warranty repairs - each time I was told it was somehow my fault. After about 9 months, I had to spend $200 to replace the battery. Now, after a year, it is inoperable without a $360 repair. When you connect the back wheels to the body, pins snap into holes. This connection is blind, so you can't see whether it is going in correctly. If it is not slipping in correctly, as I found out, a pin bends. The only repair is the expensive one of replacing the motor. Again, I'm told it was my fault, that I forced it. An easy design fix would be to make this electrical connection a separate plug from the physical connection of the two pieces. That would solve the difficulty of connecting blindly a delicate part. Something made to be constantly disassembled for travel should not be so delicate anyway. When I tried to tell Pride about the problem, they had no interest at all. They maintain that their design is perfect. Wouldn't you think that a company would want comments that would help them improve their product? Don't buy this. It is too delicate for even occasional use.

I have 2 Pride Revo units, one was bought new in 2010, so it is not that old. Just recently Pride has dis-continued making the Revo, but much worse, there are little to no parts available. Their vendors will not supply crucial parts anymore, and when I ask how to get in touch with the vendors for a response, I am in a knee-jerk response, told, "we do not give out the contact information for our vendors." The part that broke on my Revo was where the throttle tabs connect to the plastic lower shroud, which in time, (and Pride know, this as well as a whole lot of other things engineered to break and go to expensive repairs, ) due to normal stress, will break apart, rendering the unit un-useable. As in another comment, the higher up you go with trying to get a solution, the more evil the customer service reps become--with an attitude of "just go fly a kite". Even though a company should be required to supply parts for at least 7 years, according to the higher-up rep, that is only a "courtesy" that they are not honoring. The Revo is the largest selling unit, since around 2000 to the present, and so what are potentially millions of Revo owners nationally and around the world supposed to do, with units new and old when they need parts? According to the company, we should basically just "go shove it". This company needs to be made accountable for this totally callous and uncaring attitude. These units are not only one's "car" but one's total mobility inside and out, and this attitude should not be tolerated.

My Pride scooter (GoGo ultra X) was purchased second hand with every single part brand new. Ran great for two months now not so much.
Speed pot needed replacing two months after first getting scooter.
Throttle pot now needs replacing and possibly the controller (keep getting 9 beep codes when scooter is switched on occasionally). Frequent motor cut outs.
Useless pile of crap. Get another scooter from another company. No wonder I got this scooter so cheap - no one wants to touch them with ten foot poles. They're useless and won't hold up being bounced around on speedhumps and kerbs.

My Pride GoGo has that same clacking noise. I have the local dealer come out, and all he does is put some kind of grease on the wheels----at a charge of $115. I can't keep doing this every three months. It's just too expensive.

Be careful with a Pride purchase.I had 2 pride scooters over the past 17 years. Other than batteries I had no problems. Then Pride went with Chinese manufacturers for the new scooters. My problem is a clicking noise from the wheels. The local sales office now tells me all the scooters have the same problem. The solution is to swap the wheels and grease them. However, after 2 or 4 months the wheels start their clacking noise again. This noise is like putting a wooden clothes pin on a bike wheel. CLACK< CLACK all the time. Worst of all the sales firm knew of this problem and continued to sell to new customers. they tell me even if I put new wheels on the scooter the same problem will start after 2 to 3 months. Bad design, horrible support, no solution. My next step is to file a complaint with Medicare. Maybe they will stop funding future purchases if enough people complain ! -----JR Phoenix, Arizona 5/22/2012

My Pride Jet 7 was in use about one year when things started going wrong. Just days after the warranty expired, I had to replace both batteries to the tune of $300.00 Then, it was the battery charger, again nearly 300.00. Last, the controller arm went bad. The response from the company where it was purchased was that the chair was obsolete, but--maybe they could find a spare one in one of their warehouses. Of course, the part was approximately $1200.00 and the labor charge was $27.50 per fifteen minutes. I would not have another Pride product ! One major thing I find lacking with this company is "pride" in their product.

I recently registered a complaint about a Pride Legend scooter, as well as Petersens Medical (in St George, UT) to Pride Mobility itself. I asked Pride Mobility to respond to my complaint, if they had any interset in customer dissatisfaction. Pride Mobity has made NO RESPONSE!
If you're looking for a handicapped scooter, I don't recommend Pride Mobility products unles you have a lot of money for high and unreasonable repairs! ** I FULLY SUPPORT and STANDBY MY STATEMENTS!

DO NOT BUY PRIDE PRODUCTS! If you are in the market for a mobility scooter invest in an INVACARE scooter. I've had mine for 2 years of heavy use and it has held up beautifully, and NEVER EVER failed to get me where I needed to go.

Whatever you do though, stay AWAY from Pride.
