I joined Premier with a co-worker in February and we were promised our own private trainer to help with our workouts. (This lasted all of 2 visits before the trainer was pulled aside and indstructed to work with other members.) The final straw came on 7/2/09, when my bank acct was drafted a fee from the gym that was not the usual dues that had been discussed in February. Upon verifying with my coworker, she had encountered the same fate, an unauthorized ACH for $19.98. When I called the gym I was advised that the Mgr was not in, so I called National fitness and was given some basic BS about some "enhancement fee" that is billed to each member on July 1st. I advised the CSR that I had no prior knowledge and that this had never been discussed with me ever, until now. The CSR droned on from her script that it was in the contract and she was sorry if the 0person who signed me up failed to mention it. But basically I signed the contract stating that I agreed to pay it. What a crock!! It sure is funny how they go over so much they want you to know, but omit the rest. I am still fighting the charge with the bank and praying for a relocation to an area that does not have a gym in their network. I don't like being lied to or mislead, especially when it deals with money!

Unfortunuately, that is stated in the contract. However, I was told there is a "no cost cancelation" policy to cancel any time I wanted. According to National Fitness, there's an 85% buyout of the membership cost. That fee is NOT on the contract!
