I too made the mistake of going to Precision Vision in Acton. My progressive bifocals were not made correctly. Everything was distorted, warped and off. I FELL DOWN TRYING TO WALK WITH THEM ON and there was no way I could drive. When I took them to another optician, he informed me one lens was 4 mm off. Unacceptable in my opinion. Precision Vision had a new lens made; this pair was a little better, but everything was still warped and distorted. I could see fine with them when I placed them mid-bridge on my nose, but if I placed them on the nose properly, I couldn't see anything properly. They made no effort to correct the problem or refund my money. So, I gave up on progressive bifocals, and stupidly, I opted to let them make a new pair of single vision lenses to correct nearsightedness. I picked them up today-- nearly three months after I placed my original order. The lenses on this pair are jagged and rough on the edges and the lenses are twice as thick as my previous lenses that I wore for eight years -- even though it's the exact same prescription. I think they use substandard lenses, don't know how to cut them properly and make a lot of mistakes. When I asked for a receipt and breakdown for the costs of sunglasses that I ordered and lenses for sunglasses, coatings, progressive bifocals and single vision lenses and frames, they claimed they could not find any of my records. I was also supposed to get a 20 percent discount on out-of-pocket costs, which Precision Vision did not give. Oversight? Doubt it. I plan to take it up with my credit card company and vision insurance company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PRECISION VISION IN ACTON, MA!

I just had the worst customer service experience - ever - at this place. I cannot begin to recount how snarky the owner/ manager was to me. Nothing was explained ahead of time. He tried to get me to buy "out of network" even though I have EyeMed coverage. He told me that my plan was " terrible" and he tried to charge me extra for using the EyeMed plan, Never again will I step foot inside this store.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PRECISION VISION! The lenses I purchased from this outfit were jagged, rough on the edges. Very poor quality. Also purchased progressive bifocals. There were not measured properly and I couldn't see right. No refund, no option for trying another lense. Take your business elsewhere. Waste of $ to go there. You're better off going elsewhere.
