I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels embarrassed about letting this company enter my home. I wish I had the time to have looked this up information before the sales pitch. I stated that I wasn't signing on to work that night about an hour into the presentation. I could tell from the escalation in the sales person's voice this didn't go over well. I don't respond to the "hard sell". If you can only give me a price that's good for that night, I'm not doing business with your company. Does that seem so unreasonable? It seemed to be to this sales guy. My only regret is that I was polite and followed social norms to not cut the person off to tell him to leave me home. After he left without giving me a written quote, and taking up 2 hours of my Friday evening, I really wish I had the nerve to tell him to get the “F” out after the first hour. It's too bad they didn't just give the window information in about a reasonable amount of time like a half hour and leave a written quote good for 30 days. I probably would have bought some windows from them. Now I'll look for someone that doesn't make me feel like I’m a captive in my own my home. By the way, it's nice to see that the company also reads these posts and adds their own counter responses. Maybe if they just didn't employ these sales tactics there wouldn't be these complaints.

My complaint is the after market warranty. My windows were purchased and installed in 2003 with a "lifetime" manufacturers warranty. Guess what? 10 years later my window is broken, but the manufacturer is out of business. I was told that I would have to pay for the new glass which could run to several hundred dollars. I don't care how you spin the explanation, it is bait and switch. You can always tell a customer that the manufacturer is out of business and that they now have to purchase a more expensive product. I believe that customer service should be better than the economy. If customers pay more, they should expect more, resulting in increased business through customer satisfaction. Never should it be expect the best but accept the worst. If anyone wants to contact me regarding Power Windows, I would be happy to tell them about my experience.

How many times have I e-mailed you, RAY ? About this issue..you have not contacted me.I am very unhappy with these windows..Even though they don't match, no one seems to care. I am so mad at this point.sell me a window, then walk away? All I wanted was to have the dining room window match the rest of the windows..but noooo...I get told over and over it's not possible..well...I NEVER would have bought these windows had I known that the windows would NOT MATCH..WTF? Then your staff just blows me off..Makes me sure that I got ripped off, and that's why I hired an attorney and I am going after your shady business practices..I have NO fear of courts, and I believe that many will join in our efforts to show how your company is dishonest.

I agree, this company is a complete joke with their sales tactics. I just had the sales guy leave because he could not give me a price on the job after going on for 45 minutes about their products. When I asked for a price, he got ignorant and blurted out stupid numbers like I was the wrong one. What idiots! Stay far away from this company...I should of known when the door to door salesman came and told me they were doing a house on my street which was a complete lie. Please do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with this company.

PA Homeowner,

You're absolutely right we read the feedback our customers give us about our company's products and services. Customer feedback is the #1 of improving our policies and procedures in order to ensure a phenomenal home remodeling experience for our customers. I'm terribly sorry you had a bad experience with our company - it is certainly not the way we want to be represented. We literally meet with hundreds of homeowners everyday in order to discuss their home remodeling projects and make their dream a reality. Due to the nature of our presentations - which occur in home - it would be impossible to monitor the specific actions of each and everyone of our representatives. We do our absolutely best to train our representatives in an attempt to create the best home remodeling experience for our customers. Unfortunately, sometimes, we have complications and a representative will act in a different way than we'd like. In cases such as this, we own the mistake and apologize for the inconvenience, but then work hard to make sure what you experienced will not continue to occur. If you'd like to discuss the matter further, please contact our Customer Advocacy Manager, Ray Lodato at [protected] x2260 or e-mail him at RLodato@powerhrg.com

I agree that the sales tactics is pretty close to the word 'Extortion'. At the very end I got 3 prices...within a year financed with them...RIGHT now with their financing and then the "cheapest" well 1/2 of the highest price if I sign immediately with no financing. When I questioned why the big discount if I buy NOW instead of later he compared his time to come back to me with UPS re-delivering packages to addressees who weren't home. Anyway when he said I'd get $1500 back I jumped at it. Today I just read the IRS instructions for line 10 concerning Credit Limitations! Being below the tax threshold I'm out of luck & $1500. I guess I should have waited for this year. Not only did they change their name but also gives you the $1500 discount up front. Somehow I think my quotes would start $1500 higher than last year. In closing the first crew that came and installed my windows not only burned my grass with the old picture window after I had them move it once, only for them to lay it back down on my beautiful lawn, but their job was redone by a 2nd crew that had more experience than 6 months. I must admit the windows are Beautiful and after 21 years the drafts are gone but I still was HOODWINKED on the initial sale by their technique.
