Pool Chlor / Pool service refund
I was promised a credit by company personnel, after I called and was told by them that their records showed I did not receive service during the month of March. However, the company wouldn't credit my account no matter how many ways I contacted them, including by certified mail. In June, I decided to terminate service by short paying the June billing by the credit promised, but then prepaid for June service. The company used the prepayment to offset the credit I deducted from the bill, and then did not come and perform the June service. Clearly this is a company that believes in the unethical and possibly illegal practice of getting paid monthly for service whether they actually perform the service or not. This is not the first time they've done this in the past 36 months, according to complaints registered by the Better Business Bureau Web site (see goldengate.bbb.org). If you're a customer now and did not receive a service tag, then you can be sure the service was not performed. Stay away from Pool Chlor!
