On June 19th I purchased a 10 week old pomeranian puppy from Pomsource.com. Carol and Scott Miller own this operation, and sell puppies over the internet. After signing a contract and paypaling them the purchase price, they shipped me the puppy. The contract I signed stated that once I recieved the puppy, I had 48 hours to take it to a vet to ensure it was healthy.

I did this. And the vet diagnosed the puppy with a severe heart murmur.

I then contacted the breeders, and they told me to put the puppy to sleep, mail it back to them, and they would refund my money!

I then took the puppy to a separate vet for a 2nd opinion, and the vet again, found a severe heart murmur. The vet recommended I take the puppy to a cardiologist for an ultrasound to diagnose the severity of the defect.

I then took the puppy to the cardiologist, and with an ultrasound, the cardiologist stated that the puppy had a hole in her heart, and that without surgery she would die. However, WITH surgery, the puppy would be fine!

The cardiologist provided me with a report that stated that this was a HERITABLE trait, and something the puppy was born with.

I went ahead and had the heart surgery. The puppy is now fine.

However, I've invested over $5000 in a puppy that was supposed to be free of genetic flaws. When I contact the breeder, they tell me the puppy got sick because I don't rely on Jesus in my life!

This breeder uses the puppies father to breed all of their puppies, and this defect is HERITABLE! They may be producing these defective puppies and selling them to unsuspecting consumers.

I've started a website that houses all of the receipts and documentation about my experience, along with really cute puppy pics :)

If anyone else has had bad run-ins with Carol Miller or POMSOURCE.COM please contact me!

Thanks,
Sarah Murray

My Pomeranian from pomsource just turned 16 last month ! I wish they were still in business as I would buy another puppy from them. Polly has been a dream…

I had a bad experience too.. I bought a pom for $1400.00 from her July 2010... The dog was very sick when we got her..within 2 weeks and after thousands of dollars she died..they would not refund my money but said they would give us her liter mate..Our 10 year old daughter was heartbroken, so we took her...We just found a large tumor on her spleen and have surgery scheduled to remove it.. The $4000.00 surgery won't guarantee us that she will live. After contacting Carroll and asking for her prayers we still have not heard from her...I hope she rotts in hell for what she is doing...

Please note that a ruputable breeder does NOT sell puppies on-line or to a petstore. A reputable breeder sells puppies based on quality and to improve the breed. People like the Millers/PomSource (ie: backyard breeders) only care about profit. It saddens me to see people label themselves "christains" as the Millers do but care only about the money their little business can generate! They have no idea what types of people their pups go to nor do they require a buyer to spay/neuter like alot of quality breeders do that sell a pup as a companion. It baffles me that these "breeders" out there just dont care that there are so many homeless pets out there. Dont add to the problem! PetFinder.com has many nice Pomeranians looking for homes... I really wish these folks would get involved in rescue INSTEAD of making a profit. Poor pommies...I hope they end up in good homes.
