I purchased a 32" Polaroid HDTV on September 2007 for $525.00. Just after two years the TV stopped functioning. I called Polaroid [protected]). The rep, Soul, after requesting me to plug-off and plug-in the TV, said the "control unit" is gone and it will cost $250.00 to replace. They needed me to find the "panel revision number." When I called, the rep (Niva) asked me to look inside the TV using a flashlight and find the number inside. She said, "remember you are looking inside the TV through the back panel." I couldn't find any number. Next rep, Eric, said "I may have to remove the back panel" and refused to give me instructions how to do it. Somehow, I removed the back panel (believe me, it was very difficult with several different screws) and the control unit. There were four numbers inside the TV covered by the control unit and back panel. I wrote them down and called again--none were the revision number! Finally, after several discussions with Denise, Sheila and Soul, and Ty, I was asked to dictate all the numbers that I found on the control unit. Now I am waiting more than six hours for a senior technician to give me a call with a possible match. Also I found out the people I have been talking to are working for Delta Millennium, NJ. They refused to give me the address. Polaroid is intentionally selling a defective product with a defective control unit so that they can sell both items or cash-in. The TV was not working for over two months and I have spent countless hours with reps, disabling the TV. Only one rep, Ty was helpful other were rude. I advise you not to buy any Polaroid products.

No wonder, this TV is Mfg'd by FUNI Corp. of China, with contract to use the Poloroid Name. Same goes for Magnavox, Infinity (Sold by Best Buy as their Store brand. The top mfg's are in their correct order starting with (#1) Samsung, Sony (which purchases its technology from Samsung, IE: Motion flow is Samsungs MCFI or Motion Compensation Frame Interpolation: of which they SONY are always 8mo to 1yr behind Samsung) Phillips 1 -2 behind Samsung also contracts out it techonology from them and Phillips is below LG as it is now LG/PHILLIPS Co. with LG being the top line.

The best TV for the money is Samsung always sells for $100.00's even $1000.00, s less than sony, or for an economical TV Vizio also a Korean company as is Samsung, owned by Wang Computers Carlsbad, Calif.
